I thought I’d be super intimidated walking into a CrossFit gym for the first time, but this place is the exact opposite, it’s welcoming, and supportive. As someone who’s never considered herself athletic, I’ve found myself actually looking forward to workouts here. The coaches are encouraging without being pushy, and the community is awesome. Easily one of my favorite places to be now.

I visited the neighborhood, and decided to drop in. Coach Fernando was excellent, with a great attitude and super helpful tips.
I'll definitely come back there on my next visit.

Been doing CrossFit for a few years now and this is the 5th box I’ve belonged to.
Yes, they have all the toys. The space is big and you’re not on top of other people.
LOTS of class times to choose from.
Coaches are cool and knowledgeable and so are the folks working out there.
This is by far the most rigorous programming I’ve experienced and I’m sure it’ll produce GAINZ.
CrossFit Virtuosity is the OG example of what a CrossFit box should be and I’m proud to train there.

I love CrossFit Virtuosity! When I first walked into CFV I was just about to turn 40, had given birth to two children, was out of shape, in pain, and had never done CrossFit or any group exercise class at all. I’m now 45 and I’ve never been stronger thanks to the skilled coaches and varied programming at Virtuosity. After every workout I am grateful for the coaches that warm us up efficiently, train us properly, and motivate us endlessly. CFV has been adaptable since quarantine and continues to remain flexible within an ever changing environment. I feel safe with the covid protocol in place there. It is a fun, diverse and supportive community and even after a grueling workout I am always happy I attended class that day.

This will always be my favorite gym! A place that prides itself on excellent coaching and supportive community. Come to feel healthier or “look better naked”, but stay because you can’t imagine life without these friends and this community! 😍😍😍

I loved loved loved CFV so much. The only reason I say “loved” in the past tense is because I had to leave NY. And honestly, leaving CFV and the community was one of the hardest parts. They are so good and kind and talented and caring and fun. I was a CrossFit noob when I joined and I quickly got addicted. Not because of the workouts necessarily. But because of the coaches and the community. Also, Sam the owner is the best! Drop by or shoot them an email or give them a call. She’ll take care of you and make you feel right at home.

I absolutely love everything about this place. It’s a really welcoming atmosphere and a massive space. Caters to all fitness levels with variety of equipment and amazing coaches. I do a combination of private 1-1 training with Ariel (whose literally the fittest guy on Earth) and drop into class occasionally - great workouts, great instruction and excellent technique coaching. Best CrossFit gym in Williamsburg by far.

Being completely new to cross fit, it's great that you get a lot of attention from the instructors & their classes are friendly for all levels of expertise (It helps that they do a free intro class!). I also appreciate their wide range of payment options & class schedule.

Sam and her friendly, knowledgeable team run brilliant classes in this space. They make the classes challenging and scaleable, so they are inclusive and welcoming for all levels including beginners as I was when I joined over a year ago. I really enjoy working out with this team and highly recommend coming along and joining!

I came to Virtuosity having never done CrossFit and barely knowing what a barbell was. Their team has been nothing but supportive and informative, helping everyone – from seasoned pros to newbies like me – to train effectively and safely. They've done a great job navigating the uncertainty of COVID-19, offering an outdoor class option six days a week. Major bonus points for being super LGBTQ-inclusive <3

Most diverse gym out there. As soon as you step in there you get an amazing community feeling no matter your fitness level. The coaches are all motivating, knowledgeable, on point and push you. Their private sessions are great too, they discuss all your personal goals and put together a bespoke program. Bonus points for their music playlist vibes.

CrossFit Virtuosity is the best. I was a member for almost 10 years until we left NY for new jobs in 2020. I miss my Virtuosity family everyday. The thing that makes this place special is its people. The coaches truly care about your fitness journey. They’re going to watch you, give you constructive feedback, and motivate you. You aren’t just a client cycling through — you’re part of a community. I really appreciated the opportunity to learn so many new skills, how to pay attention to the way that I move to prevent injury, and how to gently adjust my workouts as I get older. The space is unique in NYC. You can drop weights, the ceilings are high for rope climbing and gymnastics, and the music is always on point. If you want an awesome constantly varied workout with amazing coaches and interesting members, give it a try. It’s a truly unique and wonderful place.

CFV is the BEST! I started working out there almost 4 years ago and have learned so much from all of the amazing coaches. I am the fittest I have ever been in my life (at 43 years old!) and appreciate the focus on technique and form. The community is super supportive and inclusive. The programming is top notch and they have navigated the challenges of working out during the pandemic in an amazing (and safe!) way.

This is BY FAR one of the best gyms. My husband and I were both members for 7- 8 years before we left. We only left because we moved states! The coaches are real coaches. They pay close attention to form to ensure no injuries. If you have an existing injury they provide alternate moves that are still challenging but allow you to move. They also have an amazing community. We have met some of our best friends at this place. The kind of friends that you will have for a life time. I know that sounds cheesy, but really, when you have a great community like this it's not that surprising. We miss this gym terribly, and feel lucky we were able to be a part of a truly special space. WE MISS YOU GUYS!!

Best box I’ve been to. As welcoming as they are tough, the coaches really know their stuff and love their job. The facilities are very well maintained, too, and the community is very diverse, as well. If I moved back to Brooklyn, I’d definitely join.

Friendly staff that let me drop in and do my own thing even though they dont typically do that. From what I saw coaches were attentive to members explaining movements and insuring the class knew what to do next.
