I saw someone mention that the manager is a liar, and at first I thought it was just me that noticed. Shes lied to me too!! The ladies want a sauna and she told me that the women's locker room is being remodeled and a sauna is in the plan. Well, this was two years ago and there nad been nothing done. I think she only told me that so I would sign the contract because I told her a sauna is important to me when joining a gym. Then 6 months after I joined, I called like 8 times and requested that my contract be emailed to me for a reimbursement from my health insurance and and the staff kept saying its coming it never showed up. LAZY & LIARS. I finally went in and got it myself. Credit where credit it due and this gym has earned an additional star for having a womans workout area, it's much more comfortable for us to have a spot of our own. Oh, the other half of that building is empty now, so they totally can expand to have more space and give the members what we want if they really to. That space could really take this gym from meh to amehzing.

Had a membership with world gym way back when and crunch took over. Canceled my membership back in July, got a confirmation email then randomly this month got an email saying I owed almost $180. Sent an email to the billing department with a copy of the email and still haven't gotten a response.

Update September 25: This gym is a disgusting. The staff do not clean. I’ve showered by the same band aid and clumps of hair and trash for the entire week. The garbage bins are over flowing. No accountability. Owners and managers should be ashamed. Have some standards.

Update July 30th: Sauna is still disgusting. Somehow the free weights are still just randomly put back in any spot there isn’t any order and it’s been this way for years. The staff is also lazy. But you can’t beat that $10 a month so I’ll deal

The gym is functional and has everything you need. I gave 4 out of 5 stars because the sauna is disgusting. Never cleaned and the same trash is under the benches week after week.

Discrimination! I am extremely disappointed this gym cleanliness is unacceptable – the women’s workout section is consistently dirty, dusty, and filled with old, poorly maintained equipment. It feels like no care or effort is put into maintaining Women's area at all.

What’s even more frustrating is the obvious lack of consideration for women members. The men’s section has a sauna, yet there is no equivalent facility for women. The conditions in the women’s area made me feel overlooked, unvalued, and outright discriminated against.

Gyms should be inclusive spaces where everyone feels welcome, but this location clearly does not prioritize its women members. Until there are real improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, and equality in amenities, I cannot recommend this gym to any woman looking for a safe and respectful environment to work out.

I hope owners see this and make changes. This is the worst Crunch I’ve been to… sucks for actual owners but equipment is everywhere. Desk attendant, I’m pretty sure could not hear me with headphones on and didn’t bother with it when I tried talking to him. One heavybag was broke off already, the 3 that were up were all under filled and 2 of those three were hanging by the onky 2 unbroken straps. Kettlebells didn’t go very heavy, bathroom was a mess, a lot was broken or just under parr. Maybe make the joint decent before investing in a quite large women’s only section… I was curious if the stuff in there was in as bad of shape… if you want a women’s only space they do have that.

The gym itself is fine. I've been going here when I could since it was World. More recently, another member SPIT in my face after a verbal assault. Police were called, and to this day, no one from that gym has contacted me, I cancelled my membership, here's the best part.... management allowed the other person to continue their workout even after the police suggested numerous times he be removed permanently. Another member came up and complained about the same group of people this member was with. If you want a gym you can do what you want without consequence,this is perfect. Emailed corporate, not sure after that.

This Crunch location is wonderful. I've been coming to this gym for a long time (back when it was another franchise), and I have to say that Crunch has done a really good job of maintaining a friendly, fun, and safe environment. There have been a few recent upgrades to the equipment available, and the gym is always clean from my experience. Staff is professional and friendly, and the gym community is awesome. I've actually made a couple of friends at this location just from being in the gym.....a lot. If you're looking for a gym that offers a good selection of equipment, a clean and positive environment, and great staff, this is the place to be.

I used to view this place as a 4/5 stars, but now they are getting rid of all their women’s only sections! The last gym in the area to have it and now they are re-vamping all of them. I don’t care about a dolled up gym, I want to be able to workout in peace without men gawking and making me feel uncomfortable or them being bothered by me using a weight lifting machine. I know I am not the only woman who feels this way. Their signs literally says, you talked and we listened to promote their renovations, but no.. you aren’t listening to keeping the women’s only sections. We don’t need more rooms that won’t be in use, you just want to purchase less equipment.

They wrongly accused me of defacing their property and then refused to provide any proof. They apologized for threating to end my membership, would not connect me to corporate. The person who did it was not even a member of that location and did not checked in. The GM was not very helpful in helping me resolve this issue.
At night, equipment is left all over the floors, no employees walk around and security is poor.

Some employees say hello & know how to greet well. Others seem to always be busy on their phones. The gym is not really busy most of the time which is a positive. So you’ll never run into the problem of finding equipment to use. Another pro is it’s spacious. Now for the cons.

The weights are all over the place. I have to go through every section to just to find the right weights. The gym equipment hasn’t been updated nor fixed since World’s Gym was around. Half of the cardio machines are BUSTED. They take a huge fee every September which I would think is for upgrades eventually over time but it seems whoever is running this business is purposely milking the money so they don’t have to invest. I spoke to Lloyd (the club manager) about it & he told me he would take my criticism but I haven’t seen any improvements since then. I also don't think it’s very sanitary inside the gym. Cleaning doesn’t seem to be existent.

I do hope this reaches the higher ups & creates a sense of urgency to make things right. I’m sure plenty of others feel the same way. People just don’t speak out anymore & that’s the problem. All honest criticism here!

I give them 2 stars for the decent customer service & the gyms possible potential.

I use to go to this gym 1 year ago and it was so much better, staff was amazing and cheerful. The guys who work here now are not helpful, personable, and rude. I came back to try out the gym again along with 3 friends and we were kicked out of the gym. We worked out in a group and was accused of trying to be personal trainers, yet we were working out in a group. We have seen multiple people workout together in groups and they were never kicked out. The “manager” approached us and accused us of personal training and didn’t even ask what the situation was. When I asked if there was an issue with friends working out together they said there’s not a problem with that. We were kicked out of the gym for what I’m not sure. But it seems like people like us are not welcome at the gym. It’s quite frankly the worst crunch in the Buffalo area.

The absolute worst Crunch Fitness branch in Buffalo and the surrounding towns to go to. I was kicked out because I was accused of personal training two of my friends, when in truth we were all working out together. I’ve been there many times before about a year ago and the previous staff and management that was there, was much better. Much more personable, friendly, welcoming etc. However, this group of jokers are very unprofessional and rude. They show no care or true concern for their members and they obviously don’t uphold the supposed rules that I was held to. Many times I’ve seen other groups of people training together and have not been kicked out but here I am, being told I can’t train people, when I was actually working out with my friends. There was no justifiable explanation or proof that I was conducting any type of personal training with the two friends I was with. So the fact that they accused me of doing something I wasn’t, was in poor taste to say the least. Definitely will not recommend this branch to anyone. They’re lucky I had to put a star rating because honestly, one star is still too much for them. They really deserve no stars. Horrible staff and conduct on their part.

Decent gym. They have all the basic equipment you would need. All the receptionists are friendly and greets you as you enter and exit the facility. Well, for me, the manager should be more aware of what is happening before making any decision and not repeating, if not, find out well, and his attitude was not the best because that is my son and I pay to go, it is not a privilege, sir, you are wrong. . For your information I have been going there for 4 years with my baby since he was 3 months old and two weeks ago I see they tell me that my son was behaving badly I go to pick him up and I ask the lady what had happened and she tells me nothing that Only that the child was restless I took him and after 2 weeks the manager comes to tell me that if my son continued to misbehave I did not have the privilege of daycare. What a coincidence that my son misbehaves when that lady is with this, I don't mean that my son didn't misbehave.

Absolute terribly company. After canceling my membership I kept on getting calls stating I had a balance that needed to be paid. I didn’t understand this because I canceled it before the next cycle. I emailed them, didn’t get a response. I finally got one and they told me they couldn’t locate me in the system. I would like to add the entire time I was never able to log in on the website because it brought me to my old membership which was canceled also through email. I received a call saying it went into collections and I asked how that was possible and they stated the charge was because I did not call the store to cancel but only emailed which apparently is not the right way to cancel. I did not know this. Beware of how you cancel.

First of the facility is nice staff is great. My issue is that this trainer called me several times to get into the gym start training and then after I came for a free session and signed up they robbed me for my money. The trainer all of a sudden had no time and kept rescheduling and then contact me once I said forget about it. Trainers know what they’re doing. Great people and awesome atmosphere. The equipment is pristine, and the cleaners work 24/7 during Covid. The guidelines are simple and the gym is very friendly and efficient. Much cheaper rates than LA Fitness and a better crew and staff than planet fitness. I regret ever coming to Crunch. If you have any issues with the company don't expect to receive help. They wont help. The company charged my card after promises that I would no longer be charged and have failed to make it right. Ita been months and months and months. No one will contact me directly. Management and corporate will only contact you through email which takes days or weeks for them to respond. There is no phone number and when i call the Crunch directly the manager is always "not there" and you just have to email again. They just give you the run around. So if you like to be treated like dirt then yes join crunch fitness.

Absolutely love it there! The people are easy going. I have not yet met a mean or rude person there. Workers are helpful & always very nice without being weird about it. Hit zone area is packed with good cardio equipment. Wide selection of weight lifting equipment. Locker room is clean & everyone wears a mask with as of (12/2020) it is still a social norm lol...

I am being harassed, as I'm sure many others are, for an annual fee when I signed up for one month before they closed for Covid. I had no way to cancel or contact them besides being told that "corporate" was only available by email and a response would take 6-8 weeks. I didn't use the facilities for 3 months before the annual fee was due per the contract yet they still insist I am responsible for payment despite me canceling immediately upon reopening and then being charged 11 days AFTER canceling my subscription for an annual fee. Terrible management system and response time. Rather than getting a response from management, I was sent a letter from their lawyers. This is terrible customer service and I would strongly advise you reconsider entering into a contract with them, as they will nickle and dime you with no remorse.

Crowded if you get here at 5 . It's pretty adequate most of the rest of the time.. Some broken machines. Usually the mornings on weekdays are the best time to get here. Recently expanded the actual gym area into the basketball court room they had before making the gym feel much more open. Recently however the inside is disgusting..seems like they stopped paying the cleaning staff. Toilets are always plugged..I have seen the same fingernail on the ground for a week now, they really need to step up their game. Or they will start losing patrons.
