My man Jan and his team at FiDI location are the best in the game. Make sure to come on in and check their spot out. Great floor layout, better team, and the best Locker Rooms in the area

I’m visiting New York’s Financial District from Vancouver, Canada, and was looking for a great gym during my stay — Crunch Fitness FiDi did not disappoint! Jan, one of the managers, gave me a full tour of the amenities, and I was seriously impressed. They’ve got HIIT classes, a full turf room for sleds and CrossFit, a heated stretch room that’s also used for hot yoga and Pilates, a spacious weight room with TVs playing sports, and a huge cardio area with plenty of steppers. To top it all off, there are saunas in both the women’s and men’s locker rooms. Highly recommend!

I'm visiting NY financial district from Vancouver Canada. I was looking for a good gym for my stay, Crunch Fitness FIDI did not disappoint! Jan one of the managers walked me through all the amenities: HIIT classes, A whole turf room for sled and crossfit, a heated stretch room/room for hot yoga/pilates classes, a weight room with TVS playing sports and a huge cardio section (with multiple steppers). To top it off they have saunas in both the womens and mens changerooms, highly recommend!!

We have a layover in NYC before we fly back, I joined this gym cause it’s alot better than the crappy hotel gym we have and it’s actually brilliant. Clean, well lit and ventilated and very very reasonably priced and flexible specially for people who don’t live here but do travel often to NYC specially from overseas.

Awesome gym with tons of facilities. The staffs are friendly and welcoming. They have a special summer offer which covers 3 months of summer. Be careful with the annual fee and clarify everything with the staff. I overall had a pleasant experience without any hidden charges, which is a common practice of other gyms.

Great gym for around $100/mo! Crunch definitely varies location to location but this seems like one of the best ones. 5 squat racks, 2 flat benches, 2 deadlift platforms. Doesn’t get as crowded as Blink. Only complaint is that there should be more flat benches. It’s great that they added more space but I don’t think the space is utilized very well. It’s essentially just a grassy turf area, would be great if they could add more equipment there.

I like this crunch gym for its central location. It’s a little small but all the recent renovations make it so much better. The only downside is there isn’t great phone service but it’s literally under a skyscraper so that’s to be expected lol.

Good gym, but I’ve had two bad experiences here. My first issue was a couple of months back when the hot water wasn’t working in the middle of winter with NO notice, I sent them an email and never got a response. Secondly, now I’m seriously questioning the quality of the water here. Staff had no idea how often they change water filters (this alone is an issue). I felt sick, was gagging and eventually threw up from drinking the water here (I don’t expect fresh spring water here but it was disgusting). The staff said they’ll look into it, but based on my previous experience, I felt compelled to write this review to make the owners aware and force a response.

The male staff at this location are awful. The only reason I’m not giving 1 star is because the lady with red hair downstairs working the event table was nice and tried to help me. I lost an AirPod right before a class and when I came out to find it, it was gone. I spent 20 minutes searching around for it before I went up to the front desk to see if it was turned in. The front desk employee Andy was extremely unhelpful and rude. He was more concerned with carrying on conversations with a trainer, who pointed me out as I walked up the stairs, with a laugh followed by the comment “it’s cause we’re in FIDI”. Apparently, Andy and the trainer on duty think it’s acceptable to gossip about members in front of their face. I’ve been to many Crunch locations around the city, I go to classes 4 times a week, and CONSISTENTLY when I come here I am treated poorly by the men working the front desk. Andy didn’t offer to take down my info in case someone turned it in later, he just walked away from me after saying no and started talking to another female member. I ended up finding the AirPod by myself after in the Crunch LAUNDRY ROOM. That tells me a Crunch employee picked it up and brought it into their laundry room and placed it on a shelf but never bothered to bring it upstairs to the front desk. I will not come back to this location, and I advise any other visibly queer people to steer clear as well because the male staff don’t know how to treat all members with respect.

I will be visiting New York soon and I’m interested in accessing your gym during my stay. Could you please provide information about your daily pass rates and any other short-term access options you may offer?

Thank you in advance for your help. I look forward to your response.

Was in the city for the day and wanted to get a workout in. Honesty goes a long way. Aaron was an amazing front desk with his colleague Joe. Provided me a day pass as a complimentary. Great customer service and friendly. Quickly toured the gym and was expressed on the cleanliness and the equipments they offered. Really is a signature club. I would sign up for a membership if it was a convenience for me. Overall amazing staff so far and club.

If I could give negative reviews I would. Management here needs to improve. I booked gym time on ClassPass and had meetings shift around so came in an hour before my time slot and they said no problem and let me in. Same thing happened this week so I went to sign in and they were so rude about it saying they did it as a 1 time courtesy which would have been completely fine if they actually did tell me that. They just let me in no problem last time. I walked 30 min to go to the gym thinking they would honor it again as life happens. If I would have known they wouldn’t let me in early I would have contacted ClassPass to help me out as they have great customer service. Instead the manager spoke rudely and lied saying he told me it was a 1 time courtesy when I never even spoke to me last time. Will not be going back as they don’t accommodate to people, they lie and speak disrespectful. Just be honest.

Its a gym in FIDI what else do you see around here but mainly Wall St guys off their breaks to get in the gym session for the day. Personal Trainer Lizardo J. I dig it alright, I guess. They also have bigger, fluffier towels than the standard fare @ other Crunch locations. I tend to go early in the morning for classes. I find the staff sort of stand offish, when not actually dismissive. They can be casual about when they begin & end the class. I once went to a yoga class where the instructor was engrossed in a conversation she was having with someone who apparently was first to show for class. So engrossed was she with the sound of her voice she actually started the class late as she fully intended to express herself fully about whatever their conversation was. It was NOT about yoga incidentally. What I found so appalling was that she never saw fit to bother even greeting the other yogis who joined before she launched the class. That felt so antithetic to the practice of Yoga. I experience a good portion of my life here as an “invisible Black Woman” so it hits different when I show up to a yoga class in the center of the world’s capitalist vortex to be met with more ambivalence. Ain’t nobody gotta dap me up or anything. Just acknowledge weary souls seeking higher ground. O, and another thing, some one stole my makeup bag in the women’s locker room. They didn’t get much. It was just a weird violation because there’s been 100’s of times I didn’t bother locking up in different Crunches. The staff I reported it to didn’t bother feigning interest or concern about it. My workout buddy seems to like that location but I’m not really experiencing good vibes there.

This place is so bullshit!!!!!!!
Don't even bother with any of these gyms. This place says it is $127 a month..... but you go to pay and they say it will be like $350! They include things like first month and last month rent! I am not moving in...... These places are such liars.
They start everything out with a lie, which makes me wonder what else they are lying about.
I am not paying $350 for a convenient shower..
Please.....do not use this place and cite my review. Send a message that bait and switch business policies / unethical business practices will not be tolerated.
Maybe if 30 people do this every month, they will take an accounting and say maybe the bait and switching wasn't worth denying this kid a shower.

I had a great experience working with James, one of the top trainers at Crunch FiDi. He is very energetic, a mentor to the other trainers and, above all, extremely professional. He is responsible for helping me lose 50 pounds and overcoming injuries to get in the best shape of my life. Everyone I have referred to him has a fantastic experience.

Here’s a review you could use:

I recently visited Crunch FiDi, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The attitude of the staff completely soured my visit. They were rude, unapproachable, and seemed uninterested in helping or answering any questions. I expect a certain level of professionalism, especially at a gym where I’m paying for membership. Unfortunately, until they address their staff’s behavior, I can’t recommend this location. There are plenty of other gyms in NYC that offer better service, the Planet Fitness down the street is way better quality in general, in terms of equipment, service and price.
Do not waste your time at this Crunch location.

Hello recently, one of my friends had his locker broken into and $200 cash was taken from his wallet. He’s a really great guy and sucks that this happens to him on 10/11/24 He filled out an incident report with Crunch, & then I had him make a police report as well just in case. He was told this happens a few times a month at the gym. For the price you pay, they need to try to do something with the locker room for better safety of peoples items.

Some of the trainers don’t know how to be professional they try hitting on you. One of them was named James is a black guy with a lazy eye. Just because you see me a few times at the gym I don’t want you trying to hug me when I’m on the treadmill. As a good looking I’m used to getting hit on a lot but when I’m trying to work out, I don’t want a guy. I’m not interested in talking to me.

I’ve been coming here on and off for a while. The gym is usually packed anytime between five and 8 o’clock. They have one side of the gym that used to have a field taken away. They also took away multiple classes. And overall has been a lot of changes that I don’t feel that have been good. Maybe they can take some steps in the right direction and then I can approve the rating. Is a clean gym that is for sure but they just need to take care of staffing and safety of gym members items..

They need to do a better job at communicating with people when the gym is going to close. I should not be finding out that the gym is gonna be closing early as i'm being kicked out (very rudely I may add) that the gym is closing early. Other crunch gyms update their hours of operations change on Google maps for holidays and other occasions, and they tell you the gym is closing early (usually during a holiday) as soon as you walk in, all except this crunch location. I have had a single bad experience with a manager there, but other than that, no complaints about the staff. They're also making the gym smaller with the new "improvements"

Many staff usually don't say hi and welcome much when I go to other gyms. But he always welcomes us!! Thank you Andy

This location is great if you do alot of barbell work.
I think theres two flat bench presses and one incline. One thing I love about thse benches is that they actually have three hooks to rack. As a short woman, bench pressing can be a struggle with the standard two hook bench because the higher hook is a little too high, and the lower hook is just impractical.

4 power racks with deadlift platforms. two independent deadlift platforms. another reular squat rack. A couple spare barbells lying around.

Sauna gets really hot - some other location struggle with that.

They recently got hot yoga which is great - hot yoga casses are usually $30 if you just went to a studio.

Two questions for management if they see this!:
1 - when do you think the turf area will reopen? I miss it, its been closed for a few months now i think.
2. Is there a trick to make the wifi work? My phone always says connected and it doesnt work. My phone also has full service but doesn't work. I see other patrons have the same issue, so its not my phone. Pretty annoying at times. But thats the only real downside.

Also, the vast majority of clientele actually put equipment back which is so nice lol

Turned up this morning 08:00 o’clock with a friend of mine. Only to hear and find out we aren’t allowed in the gym because we aren’t locals !!!
It was absolutely bizarre to hear this in such a city.

Customer service is incredibly rude and unaccommodating.
After moving to NYC recently, me and my husband wanted to use a free pass to check out the facility before committing to a membership. Upon arrival, we were asked for ID, and turned away because we did not yet have our local NYC IDs. We were then asked for a copy of our lease, which is ridiculous to ask… as who carries this around as a form of ID? The guy behind the counter said “free day pass mentions that a local ID is required,” however upon reviewing the registration online, it is in VERY small print.. again.. quite inconvenient and unaccommodating.
After having back and forth conversation, we ended up settling for the incredibly overpriced day fee.
We had never been to this facility, and even as prospective members, no one showed us where to go or how to navigate around.
Gym was okay but the vibes were terrible.
Do not suggest a free pass for new NYC residents as they will give you a runaround without your local ID.

They used the excuse of a busted pipe to get rid of their spin room and eliminate the best classes with their best instructor. Who btw packs the gym wherever he teaches. The rest of their spin instructors were mediocre and then they blame the lack of numbers on the lack of member interest. I’m not sure who this gym caters to but it’s not me. Fidi just can’t have nice things. Guess I’ll be trying the new gym down the street.

As a busy professional working in the bustling Financial District, finding the time and the right place to keep up with my fitness routine has always been a challenge. Thankfully, I discovered Crunch Fit Wall Street a few months ago, and I couldn't be happier with my experience!

From the moment I walked through the door, the welcoming atmosphere and enthusiastic staff members made me feel right at home. The club's interior is modern, clean, and well-maintained, with top-notch equipment that caters to a wide range of fitness levels and goals. From strength training to cardio machines, to dedicated areas for yoga, Pilates, and HIIT, there's something for everyone.

Crunch Fit Wall Street offers a diverse array of group classes, which is perfect for those who need a little extra motivation or who want to try something new. The highly qualified and passionate instructors always keep things fresh and challenging, making each class a fantastic workout.

The club also provides excellent amenities, such as spacious locker rooms with private showers, and even a smoothie bar where I can refuel with a delicious post-workout treat. The staff members have always been friendly, approachable, and helpful, making sure I have everything I need for a great workout.

Being a member of Crunch Fit Wall Street has not only helped me to stay committed to my fitness journey, but has also allowed me to become a part of a supportive and energetic community. If you're looking for a world-class fitness facility in the heart of the Financial District, I wholeheartedly recommend giving Crunch Fit Wall Street a try!

Do not join this gym. They are unethical and should not be trusted. Are the instructors good, yes. I joined in 2001 and enjoyed their services for 20 years until Covid hit then they charged me for a number of months when I couldn’t use the gym, then they raised my rates more than they were supposed to. When they left 25 Broadway in 2008 I believe it was they moved in the middle of the night and left their creditors out to dry. I should have known that this relationship would end with something similar with me. I cancelled my membership in February and they charged me in March again for one last payment. I never agreed to this and they just don’t care. I have filed with the BBB. Their rule was instituted well after I joined. Pick another gym their corporate people are just not worth the eventual pain they will cause you.

Not all Crunches are made the same. I really appreciate how clean and tidy the FiDi location is. There’s also plenty of space to do your thing outside of “rush hour” and sweat shed is great if you can get a spot. Thanks team FiDi!

False advertising. Free 3-day Gym pass advertised on Google Maps app comes with restrictions not indicated anywhere during sign up. The confirmation email doesn't mention anywhere that the promotion is only for prospective members. I hope no one else wastes their time trying to get to a Crunch location only to be told after they take all your information that you have to pay to enter.

Quite possibly the worst gym I have ever worked out at. The lack of equipment is astonishing. The entire facility has 2 bench presses and only 1 platform for deadlifting and squatting. Yet there is about 100 treadmills and 15 stair masters. You will never wait for the treadmill but you will wait a minimum of 10 minutes for a bench. There is a turf area where you can deadlift and squat however the setup in that area is very congested. The 15 personal trainers take up 75% of the space. I would strongly advise finding literally any other gym besides Crunch. They are all terrible.

This gym completely changed the way I worked out. It's a state of the art facility with all the equipment and free weights that any gym goer would need for a fantastic workout. The locker rooms are clean and well taken care of, and there is an entire area for calisthenics. What really changes the game for me was working with Will, a personal trainer at crunch. Will was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and dedicated. He put time and effort into creating a personal workout regime for me, and then walked me thru each exercise.
With each exercise he gave me little tips on form, core engagement, or how many reps I should be doing. Would highly recommend will, and crunch overall.

Appears to be one of the newer and larger Crunch Fitness buildings in Manhattan.

Facility included the standard Crunch resources such as ample wipes around the gym to clean down equipment and shower amenities (towels, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, etc)

Why I took off a star: I've visited most of the Crunch Fitnesses in Manhattan and have found them to have generally respectful gymgoers and staff members. However, at Crunch FiDi, a janitor member wolf whistled at me as I walked out of the locker room 😬

Wow, I was super impressed with this location! (Note - I am a ClassPass member, so I was visiting). Check in was a breeze and friendly, the gym is downstairs with efficient elevators or stairs. The space is pretty expansive and not too cramped when I visited mid-day on a weekday. I used the locker room facilities, the showers were extremely clean and modern, doors covered the entire frame and locked from the side. Complimentary towel use, as well as bath products, hairdryers, etc. It may not be as “boujee” as equinox, but it’s a very very very great option.

From one certified gym rat to another this place is awesome. Staff are very professional, courteous, respectable, from my experience. Machines are cleaned round the clock. I counted more than enough, showers, clean towels, lotion, shampoo, conditioner did I mention those were free. If you don't like "FREE" we'll you may 🙈 🛑 reading this review anytime you feel like. It's accessible by train and or bus. 4/5 train to wall street and or Fulton street. There is a HOT SPA holds about 5-8 humans at a time. They have antigravity Yoga, Spinn and a host of other classes. They have an area just for calisthenics. Lots of lockers, trainers on site,

My biggest complaint is how crowded it gets during prime gym times (before 9am and after 5pm). If you want a gym in FiDi that won’t cost you $200+, this is your best option.

I really wish the app let me sign up for classes at least 1-2week in advance. I can only sign up within 24hours before the class start. It is very discouraging because when I use to go to Orange Theory I was able to sign at least 2 weeks in advance for the 6am classes but with crunch I can't do that and I go to the gym way less. When I know I have a class in the morning, it makes me sleep earlier and plan ahead.

Otherwise the gym is super clean, not crowded, has good amount of equipments, affordable, great sauna, towels everywhere and have a very friendly staff.

Although they can really improve their music playlist. Super outdated not for work out. Orange theory had such
good music playlists. Crunch can definitely improve that.

Solid gym although management needs to rethink their capital allocation strategy. There’s no reason to have only 2 barbell benches and 1 squat rack / deadlift platform in a gym that often gets very busy. At the same there, there are dozens of unoccupied machines. Please rationalize the equipment with lower utilization and replace with what’s actually in demand to reduce wait times.

Customer Service nightmare:

I went to check out the facility cleanliness given it's Covid19. I was upfront and told them not looking for a commitment since not sure of work location plus I do barre and Pilates reformer. The guy in in the front desk started mocking me and didn't know what Barre is. The lady who gave the tour made a joke if I am just touring gyms or will actually sign up.

Tribeca location much more professional.
Worth the walk.

Decent gym, horrible customer service. I tried to get a refund because they charged me for the month of Sept. I asked for my refund within 24 hours of seeing the fee hit my account and I had no idea my account had been unfrozen (it had been frozen because I don't know, we're in a global pandemic).

Management would not refund me after multiple emails back and forth. Like really? We're in a pandemic and your gym is open at limited capacity and I responded on the same day of getting charged. Incredible lack of character and empathy for any business, let alone to a loyal customer. I used to love this gym to the point of recruiting colleagues and friends, but now I am turned off to the entire Crunch franchise.

Here's the kicker: I asked for a refund and membership cancellation last week. Today, I got an annual membership fee charged to my credit card. The takeaway? Lack of character AND incompetence.

Take your money elsewhere.

This review is purely in the context of covid and opening day 9/2/20 at Fidi & not the Crunch chain in general which is inconsistent at best. This really was a masterclass for many businesses, the mayor and governor. A combination of temperature checks at arrival, verified hvac improvements , increased sanitization, mandatory face masks and verified reduced capacity brilliantly achieved through checking out through the crunch app. But most importantly members who unwaveringly follow the rules. Did it suck lifting heavy weights or cardio masked - yes. Uncomfortable but not that bad. Far less uncomfortable than running masked outdoors in summer heat. How or why this took so long to implement is a testament to the incompetence of our government. This could easily be applied to indoor dining, schools, movie theaters, bars etc. I had an amazing workout, felt completely safe and look forward to being able to continue. All of the major things I was looking for are in place. To members that are unwilling to comply please stay home. Many of us are eager to get back to "normal". Kudos to Crunch Fidi staff! Truly exemplary and keep up the good work!

Their customer service is a bit poor. They are only reactive, NOT proactive. Recently, they circulate an email to all members about opening on Sept 2nd. They state fees, etc will be reinstated in language that is not easy to understand. I reached out to them via phone and email four days ago to discuss my specific membership details to confirm understanding. Crickets...I expect some delays but they have had PLENTY of time to prepare. If you are not a current member, DON’T DO IT! Make them have to take more time to step it up and get their sh&$ together. They need to be really wanting your business. COVID makes for hard times but also, improved creativity. Once the firm announced reopening, they should have had customer service ready and waiting for clients, but no, they are taking the cheapest route so it will be even more chaos the week of opening.
