DragonHawk Fitness is an amazing place. After being out of the gym for two years due to covid I was ready to get back in shape and did a lot of research on local gyms. I’ve seen a lot of folks have success with CrossFit so I decided to join DragonHawk. Words cannot come close to express my gratitude to the DragonHawk coaches and community. I was nervous to start but Matt was very welcoming and encouraging during my first one-on-one session. I was anxious to begin my first class but with the personal sessions I felt more confident, and the other members were friendly. I am a fitness beginner and many of my workouts have to be modified. Coaches Matt, Joe, and Jon are always patient with me, even when I lose patience with myself. Even when I get discouraged the coaches cheer me on. I have never had such great workouts in my life and have never had coaches so committed to teaching me how to do it right. I enjoy being able to use my body to lift weights instead of machines. I have gained strength, endurance, confidence, and friends in the few months that I have been a member. The camaraderie among the group is very special. In just a few months DragonHawk has transformed my life. I highly recommend DragonHawk to people of all fitness levels.

Dropped in while visiting town and had such a great experience I had to come back the next morning. The space was very clean with plenty of room to move and the equipment was immaculately maintained. The workouts were challenging and engaging and the coaches were fun, encouraging, and knowledgeable. Can’t wait to visit again!

Fun place to get a great workout. Small class sizes allow for a ton of 1 on 1 time with the Coach. All I have to do is show up and give it my best. Their programming does the rest.

I'm continually seeing results, which I never would have imagined possible a year ago (I'm overweight and over 40, suffer from exerxise- induced asthma, former heavy smoker...been working out for only a year). I go to the 5:30 AM classes (which says a lot, since Noon is when I'd prefer to wake up, if given the work/life choice). The exercises are "scaled" to my specific level, so I can challenge myself and be successful each time. The atmosphere is very professional, safety-minded, and encouraging! Not too long ago I was having trouble with burpee sets during a particularly tough workout. I was the last one to finish (which is perfectly OK / normal for me). All others were already done & resting while I was struggling with my last set, saying "I can't do these #%^*# burpees anymore" and wanting to quit. Instead of simply letting me quit (which is always an option), THE COACH AND THE OTHERS JOINED ME in my last set of 10 grueling burpees, giving me the inner strength to fight against my self-doubt...TALK ABOUT FAMILY! I was tearing up, not because of the burpee struggle (ok, maybe a little) but because others believed in me, encouraged me, and willingly struggled alongside me--that type of environment/ energy is why I continue to choose DragonHawk! They are a top-notch, professional, knowledgeable establishment...and a "family"...who push you to be better than you were yesterday. They also encourage everyone's input and tailor future classes based on those individual conversations. So, you're more than just a paying customer....you are an integral part of DragonHawk Fitness.

I have been a part of The Dragon Hawk Family for just over a year. I love this place. All the Coaches are great. The program's have something for everyone fitness level. Extremely knowledgeable coaches and workouts are programmed not only for advanced athlete's, but also scaled for first time and semi-seasoned athletes depending on fitness levels. Would definitely recommend going to this gym no matter what fitness level you are at.

DragonHawk fitness is a great gym, offering top- notch instruction and coaching in a beautiful light and spacious facility. The classes offer a different workout each day so you never get bored- combining high intensity training, longer cardio workouts, and weightlifting, with excellent coaches who provide teaching, corrections and supervision. It’s equally wonderful for the athlete seeking to improve or to cross train, or for the average person seeking to become more fit- all workouts can be scaled to your level of fitness and experience. I live working out there and I recommend them highly. Come try them out- they offer classes at different times and reasonable monthly or per class rates. Perfect for beginners and experienced athletes alike.

I don’t have words that can exactly describe how grateful I am to Matt, Joe and Lauren. Since the first time I started my foundation class I knew I was in the right place. Coach Matt has empathy, compassion and he takes his time to explain every exercise and techniques. English isn’t my first language, I can’t explain how patient and supportive all the coaches are with me. Matt was even learning Spanish words to have a clear communication. Dragonhawk Fitness doesn’t only have the best facilities in the area, it has the most passionate and respectful coaches I ever had met. Once you enjoy Dragonhawk Fitness you will be part of a family. Definitely you will enjoy every class full of positive and enthusiastic energy.

DragonHawk has a great atmosphere with amazing coaches. They offer fit classes and barbell club! I knew from the moment I stepped into this gym, I had found “my people” I have learned and been encouraged from day one and they can scale the workouts to whatever fitness level you are at. The trainers are the best I have ever experienced. From beginner to competitive weightlifting, they provide expert knowledge along with great workouts that are always super challenging yet inclusive for all levels. I decided to try Crossfit to try something different, to see what else my body could go, to push myself to limits I have not tried before, to become stronger, to be healthier and most of to be part of an amazing community.

I held off on Crossfit because I was scared. I was scared of a barbell to be completely honest. I didn't really know what to do, how to properly do a back squat with a barbell, etc. I have always been physically fit and was an athlete growing up. I was scared of the unknown with Crossfit and seeing most of the people of TV scared me. I kept saying to myself I can't do that!?!

One day while driving by Lowe's in Oneonta I noticed a sign hanging outside of this building that said Crossfit Dragonhawk. After seeing that sign I decided to look it up on online and did a research. After thinking about it for a few days, I decided I needed to try it. What was there really to be scared of?

I reached out and was able to schedule a meet and greet with the Coach and to try it out to see if I liked it. Afterwards, I went through the foundation classes and loved it so much so after that I decided to sign up officially. Since about September 2018 I have been a proud member of this Crossfit fam.

Since day one everyone welcomed me as part of their group and I could not be more inspired by the people around me in this community. They motivate me, they push me to be better and I feel this has carried over into my personal and professional career. They have taught me that the only person holding you back is yourself.

Overall, Crossfit Dragonhawk is an amazing community. We have fun, we push each other, we support each other, we motivate each other, and inspire each other.
