I got a free trial for 2 days and I chose Bond St as my first location. My mind was honestly BLOWN. They have multiple floors and so much space to workout, but there was still a lot of crowd. The towels provided and all the amenities in the locker are AMAZING. I'm so tempted to get a subscription. And graduates from NYU get an extra discount too.

This was my first time in a steam room and I was so nervous cause when you google equinox steam room there's a lot of sexual reports that come up. But I didn't see nor face any of that. The steam room was darker than the SoHo location though, but overall I absolutely loved the entire experience.

The locker and the locking system really amazes me too, it's simple yet so effective. It would be better if some people didn't throw used towels around and throw them where they're supposed to

My favorite Equinox in NYC - cool layout in an old manufacturing building from 1873…! Friendly staff, cool crowd of people, clean workout areas and locker rooms, and a lot of space to get your workout in

Heyyy so hear me out, I am a huge believer that the people make the place and when I went to tour this location my theory was proven right yet again. I went in person to inquire on a membership and was greeted warmly by the attendants up front, then they called over the membership advisor Elizabeth Alexander and she was just A-MA-ZING she really took her time to learn about me and what I needed out of the membership, and you could tell she was happy not only with equinox as a company but also her experience working and working out there. She had nothing but good things to say about her management and that glimmer in her eyes left me excited to join after the tour.

Always happy to come back and share a 3-6 mo update on my experience! Sure its pricey, but I figured with the unlimited amount of classes, access to cold plunge, saunas, steam rooms, and not to mention they now have the most real estate in the city. It makes the most sense instead of just paying for separate memberships to like bathhouse and club pilates.

As much as I love the group classes and the layout of this location, the maintenance and services is far from satisfactory. It seems they never clean up yoga mat towel and bolsters, they always sticky and gross. And the gym close at 8pm they stop ppl from using shower around / by 7:45, while the last class ends at 7:45

This gym has gone downhill. It used to be a flagship location. Now the machines and equipment are extremely old and worn down, the towels are yellow and smell bad, the AC does not work very well and the lockeroom is so tight. Very odd, needs a big renovation.

Nice space, but closes 2 hours earlier than other destination equinox locations. You have to be done with your workout by 7pm to get to shower & steam before closing. Greenwich ave etc closes at 10 or 11 :-/

Super rude staff. The front desk staff could not be more rude and I will NOT be attending this location any longer. The SoHo gym, which is within walking distance, is way better and I highly recommend people go there instead.

This was a really impressive location that’s architecturally and spatially unlike other NYC Equinoxes in the best way. Their free weight and treadmill areas are incredibly laid out and more spacious than most other floor plans I’ve encountered. The locker rooms were really
nice and the staff at the front desk were helpful.

i was in the gym for 2 hours and i needed to charge my phone so i looked around their lackluster lounge in the lobby to find a charging port and didn’t find one and so i went back upstairs. then a red head man chases after me and demands me to show my gym pass. I told him my phone was dead and i never stepped outside and he still kept bothering me. why do i need to show you my pass again if i’ve been there for two hours already?? make it make sense. Do you think i dont belong here?!? then the GM calls me and tells me it was their fault for not paying attention but didn’t do anything to make the situation better or make me want to go back. All she said was she was gonna talk to him which who knows if she did or not. this location is pretentious and trash anyway with no good amenities and a terrible steam room. and now that i know the managers are just as trash, i stay away from this location at all costs.

On top of that i call the eqx corporate to complain and the girl on the phone laughs. why am paying obnoxious amounts of money for obnoxious service?! UGH really makes me dislike the company they only care about your money and nothing else

EDIT in response to Equinox: Um i've called the concierge hotline about this and the girl just laughed at me... That's it for me.. I dont want to keep dealing with this awful service that I'm paying WAY too muchh money for. So yeah when lifetime opens near me I will be leaving. And you guys did a similar thing to a friend recently, so its clear you people have a problem with people who are not WASPs

After shopping for gyms for a month, I decided to go with equinox as it really does have the best bang for your buck.

Bond street is great with a beautiful interior and subterranean locker rooms. A great place to workout.

But, I am going to hijack this review to talk about the amazing experience I had with a personal trainer:

DUUUUVAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLL!!

When you sign up at equinox, you get 2 "free" personal training sessions. They reached out and said I would be with Duval, who is one of their best.

The amount of fitness/health related questions I have accumulated over the years has become so over-stimulating that I don't even open that can of worms anymore. Different "experts" will tell you completely contradictory things, it will go something like this:

"Fruit is obviously good for you, and also it's all sugar and is bad for you. Sugar, I forgot to mention, is a vital source of quick burning carbohydrates that your brain needs to survive, and you should avoid it at all costs.
Protein elevates your blood lipids and will lead to heart disease. Make sure you eat a lot of it. Drink water. Don't over hydrate or your kidneys will fail."

However, something about Duval just screamed genuine to me right when I met him. Every question I had, he took about 15 seconds to think about every situation that the question could apply to and would answer it the best he could.

He was formerly the strength and conditioning coach coach for UCLA basketball, and I had a buddy who played there so I texted him after.

He said "Yo that's nuts!! He was honestly so good that's big time you get to work with a guy as knowledgeable as him. And he's my dog!"

Our first session was supposed to last 60 minutes but ended up stretching to 90 as I just kept asking follow up questions to my follow ups. I profusely apologized but he just said "young fella I love talking about this!"

He is truly passionate and truly an expert in the space. In an industry full of phonies, Duval is bringing the real back.

I told him once I get my bread up we are getting back to it!

Nice vibe and location in historic building! Lacks amenities like pool hot tub and sauna but has Hot Yoga room, with many more classes then other Equinox locations closer to me. I figured out that although Printing House (no hot yoga darn) is closer to my home, if one adds in elevator time, its actually same time to get to Bond St class.

Equinox really likes to look down on you and really make it you feel like garbage if you’re not wealthy. Upon sign up, I was told I would have unlimited guest passes so I bring my partner. We come all the way to the Bond location only to be embarrassed and find out that is not the case.

The miscommunication and trickery of Equinox signing up new members is sad. And this also happened at the Hudson Yards one, where they really hate non influencers and poor people. Again upon sign up, we are told access to any location, only to find out this one is a special destination, aka the gym for the 1% of the 1%. Do better equinox.

Equinox continues to disappoint. In 5 years half the clubs in the city have become β€œdestination clubs” meaning your $250/month universal access pass doesn’t apply. In the meantime, the quality of the clubs and classes continues to decline. The bond location can’t even manage it’s class attendance. Twice in a week I’ve showed up to a class I’ve booked only to find it completely full with no space for me. Raised this to the club, no excuse, no apology, no promise to sort it out offered, which is typical of their customer service / corporate culture.

Nice facility! Slightly more machines than a normal location, very clean, well maintained, etc. This one feels and looks newer when compared to some of the others, I like the aesthetic with all the black stone.

Steam room has a weird little nook which is kinda funny lol... I wanted to huddle up in it. πŸ˜‚

Locker room is very nice, lots of mirrors, great for selfies. (though the lights could be a bit bright we)

May 5th, 2022, I visited Equinox around 6PM and wrongly thought my locker number. It was empty and I got in total panic. The cleaning staff and the front desk were sooooo helpful and were very proactive on resolving the problem. Eventually they found my stuff in another closet that I totally forgot I dropped my stuff there.
I still feel ashamed to be that nervous and assuming it as a stealing case. I should have know their names.
If Equinox sees this, they deserve a raise or bonus! They made my good impression for the gym!

I am currently a destination member, which means that I can basically go to any club in the city Hudson Yards included. I mention this because not all equinox locations are equal and need to do that honorable mention to Equinox Bond Street.
Furthermore, this is one of the most decent equinox gyms in the city. Why? due to the fact that their workout floor/layout actually makes sense and you can workout in an effective way, for those that are actually looking to "work out".
Also, they have decent hours of operation and their staff is professional. All-together, if I had to decide to stay on one gym only within the equinox ecosystem, this would be the one.

I frequent this Equinox a lot and all of the sudden there’s been a decline in cleanliness all around. Towels on the floors everywhere, even in the showers(wet towels). A crowded steam room(I came on a Saturday which doesn’t surprise me), but items all over the floor as well and I mean forgotten underwear. It made me really think about what I was paying for. Nonetheless, it is usually good overall. But if it keeps going this way I’ll steer away from here. It saddens me because it is one of the nicer locations.

A very beautiful and spacious location. The style is modern yet classic, sleek, and gives a sense of privacy. I like the red brick interior and the high ceiling. The basement is very cool.
There are in total 4 floors - 2 for workout and basement are the locker rooms. Overall bigger and has more workout space than the SOHO/Wall St location. I went during off peak hour so it was really nice and empty.

Meh. This location isn't anything special. Sure it's really beautiful aesthetically but that's about it. The layout of the actual workout space is really weird and feels compartmentalized. Not much equipment offered on the mat, either. Steam room smelled horrible and was out of eucalyptus spray. The layout of the locker room was also not my favorite because of the way the lockers are lined up really in an open forum unlike other locations where there are smaller pockets offering more privacy. You feel like you are in this wide open space and facing the mirror so whoever is doing their makeup just has a reflection behind them of a bunch of naked people. Awkward.

It's a beautiful place. Typically Equinox's upscale feel with wood, stone and iron.
Situated on 4 floors with the locker facilities on the lower level, this place is fully handicapped accessible.
Plenty of cardio and stretching less free weights and just okay machines.
Conveniently located in NoHo this place is easily accessible by cat, bus, train or by walking.

I had an amazing experience here. I'm seriously contemplating a move to New York over the next few months, and was in town over the weekend and wanted to check out gyms. Equinox has dramatic and beautiful branding, that sticks out even in the bustle of NYC. Because I wasn't certain exactly when I'd move, I offered to pay the day fee, and then I realized that at $50, it was a little steep compared to what I'm used to paying. This is understandable, as they really want you to meet them and show you the space before giving you the green light to workout. If you're polite, friendly, and earnest, and don't just want a freebie, they will be super gracious and accommodating in turn. I met with Trevor James, who was very helpful, and personable. While you're meeting the staff, it's good to pepper in information that let's them ascertain the level of your fitness knowledge so they can know how to give you suggestions. The facilities were high end and low key, which is REALLY tough to find in Philadelphia. It's a little pricier than other gyms, and there are a few things you get when you pay for luxury: Amazing comfy box jump platforms, solid weights (pro tip: The top floor has most of what you need if the main weight room is crowded), and staff that is friendly, and eager to help. As anyone who pays for luxury knows, a small part of the experience are the amenities. What you're really paying for is the service, courtesy, and your actions being interpreted in the best possible light.

PS I had a couple of PRs here: Incline DB 95 x 9, and a 48" box jump!

Thanks for a great visit guys!
