My most visited location, great staff, always clean, never crazy busy, laid out perfectly, nice views, big steam room, premium locker room. This location also has good member culture compared to a lot of the other locations.

Not the biggest or most equipped premium location (no whirlpool, no dry sauna, etc.) but gets the job done.

Please don't join this gym. The staff is very underpaid and they are hostile to well off members. Also many of the pictures are fake and they have no machines, except pullies. Its a total scam of a Gym. Please check out Lifetime across the street with 3 floors of equipment and facilities at the same price.

My new favorite location. Everything feels very new. The group fitness studio is beautiful. The locker rooms are extremely spacious with huge benches. No fighting for space while changing! I feel more comfortable taking a shower and getting ready here than in my own home.

They also really nailed the lighting in this location. They use a nice warm, yellow lighting for the main training area. Very easy on the eyes and makes it feel like a comforting and inviting environment. I loathe the bright white lights that they have in a lot of the other equinox locations.

Water pressure is 10/10. Showers get nice and hot.

Something unusual which I found to be quite uncomfortable, is that there is a huge window in the steam room displaying everyone inside to the locker room. It ruins the immersion and relaxation you would typically have at the steam room. I assume this is to prevent sexual behavior, but I feel it was definitely unnecessary.

As for post-workout food options, you have sweetgreen right across the street and there is also a juice press directly underneath the gym.

Membership dues rise every year but overall service of equipment, cleanliness, stocking of towels, toiletries, (toilet seat doilies, soap in shower), functional hand dryers, etc have gone down hill. Also pretty sure a credit card theft occurred from my locker. Can’t prove it but zero follow up from management when I informed them of my suspicions. Stretching mat area looks like a mud room. For $250+ a month you’d expect a better overall experience. Staff is friendly but that seems to be only thing going for this location these days.

One of the best, if not the best Equinox locations in the city. Great equipment, friendly staff and a clean environment to workout in. May not have the size or amenities of the bigger locations but the quality of my experience is what really matters and for that I must rate this place five stars. Raul De La Cruz along with general manager Henry are fantastic ambassadors for Equinox as a company. Raul is extremely friendly and always willing to help others in regards to any concerns you may have. Will definitely be coming back to this gym very often.

The Dumbo location of Equinox is truly exceptional and continues to improve. While I initially encountered some issues , over the past 7-8 months, the staff has gone above and beyond, particularly in ensuring my safety as a female member both in the gym and in the locker rooms. Any concerns I've had, whether regarding safety, equipment, or anything else, have been promptly addressed by Kay Jones or my personal trainer, who efficiently relayed them to the corporate team. My favorite Equinox in Brooklyn, hands down! The staff is friendly and in sync from maintenance to management. The club is clean and full of natural lighting. At night, the warm lighting feels super sexy! The Group Fitness is very engaging and has a wide variety of classes which are included with the membership. They have the best Pilates and personal training in the industry. I love locker room, unlimited Kiehl’s products, eucalyptus steam room/towels and the LightStim bed in the spa! This club checks so many boxes.

Being nestled in Dumbo is a huge plus as the neighborhood is very scenic, fun and full of action. It’s also right across the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges which makes it very accessible. Not sure what I’d do without Equinox Dumbo — it only gets better and better with time.

Personally, I recommend the All Access membership or better to fully immerse yourself into the Equinox experience. Equinox has so many locations which is a huge plus, but if I had to choose one, Dumbo for sure!

One of my favorite Equinox locations. It's beautifully designed and very quiet during off hours. It has all the equipment I need laid out on one floor, big windows for natural light and is always clean and organized. What makes it better is the staff; from Jack at the front desk who gets me my weighted jump rope, to Ceon who is in charge of maintaining the club (and is he friendliest person you will meet), to Kay and Raul in the membership dept. I've had great luck with a series of trainers I look forward to seeing in a social capacity as well as the training. The entire staff creates a welcoming environment to come to day after day, which is great when needing the motivation to finish the last 30 min of the workout.

I was greeted with such poor customer service from the staff when I walked in, and immediately to the eye, I didn’t enjoy the smallness of this location. The equipment looked very outdated for such money that you’d be paying for a membership. I think I will past on this gym, and look for another gym that their equipment reflects the quality of the monthly fee that I would be paying.

Thoughtfully organized small but clean space for weight lifters. The space is very well maintained even with the crowding. Unfortunately it has become very crowded even outside of "rush hour". I don't know if equinox currently has a promotion but the crowding is frustrating as there is a good amount of waiting time for equipment. I can't imagine what this January is going to look like at this rate at this location.

Definitely one of the better locations that isn't on the Destination Access level locations. It's on the smaller side but it doesn't seem TOO small because everything is spread out. The locker rooms were really nice and had a industrial feel to it! Definitely recommend this location to anyone who's interested in doing a single access membership! :)

I absolutely love this club. Dumbo is my home club (being about 5 minutes from work), however I travel to sports club and hudson yards quite frequently as a destination member. Despite those amazing locations, something about this smaller scale club always stands out. Equinox dumbo truly feels private while also simultaneously being community driven. The staff is the best I've experienced at any equinox. They will always go out of their way to help you and make you feel comfortable. I always feel at home at this location, which so far I really cannot say about 99 percent of other locations. Nick (General Mgr) constantly checks in with members and ensures everyone is having a great experience, I see Nick on the floor most days I work out. After having several issues with how I was treated in other clubs I really do recommend this club to anyone, can't same the same for the other locations

Great (albeit small) club with all the amenities you'd want. COVID measures are up to snuff - it is never as crowded as it used to be and the staff has been great about maintaining safety and cleanliness throughout. There is a Pilates studio, and a good-sized room for group classes. There is also a Juice Press on the ground floor, and a couple healthy shopping/dining options nearby. Not the least expensive option but convenient location.

The staff is amazing. The classes are intense but not overwhelming. All of the equipment is cleaned regularly as in you won't touch something that hasn't been sanitized. The covid-19 protocols are very thorough. However, the gym's crowning achievement is the steam room. It is heaven in there. Did I mention the partnership with Keihl's, maybe one of the best commercial skincare companies on the planet. Going to equinox may be the best part of my day.

Manager Samantha Benedict scammed me around $450 (1st month fee + following month, something like that), meanwhile I didn’t even use gym 1 single time due to my broken ankle. She encouraged me to sign up via phone, as they were calling me every day due to holiday promotions, ... so I did. Unfortunately I broke my ankle the following day and sent them hospital discharge and picture of my ankle as well in order to freeze my membership.
The following month they changed me again, meanwhile I have NEVER been at Equinox gym. Doesn’t it sounds like A SCAM??? I sent them email about refunds, they ignored me and never answered back... is it how they care about their members?
They are such a unprofessional and only care about bringing new clients so they can get paid more. Such a shame. Hope, you enjoyed my hard-earned money, Samantha sweetie. Karma is real.

Very disappointed, I thought they were better than all the gyms that lie and steal from you but they aren’t . They told my husband when signing up that it’s a month to month , he would never sign up - he didn’t even try the gym out because they said he can always cancel, now when he wants to cancel they tell us it’s a yearly membership. Management is money focused and not experience focused. Cannot keep staff from revolving door. Continual contact if you ever end up on a list. Would not recommend to anyone with a brain bigger than their wallet. Try the Dodge YMCA instead!

Google: Equinox Fitness Club Lawsuit

Before you get locked into a $250+ monthly, 12-month contract; read a few real Google reviews, not the fake 5-star reviews from people that got a free class, nor the ones amazed by the location or it being clean. I found 10 Google reviews just in the lower Manhattan and Brooklyn locations, specifically on the trainers monopolizing the equipment, making fun of member, rudeness and overcrowding! I would add the links, but Google does not allow links.

Original Review:
The trainers stand right next to other people working out when there is ample space not too. I had to move multiple times because of a clueless trainer stand where I was working out, when I went to switch dumbbells.

And then there are all the members that monopolize multiple sets of weights for the hours, during the busy times and get upset when someone takes one of the sets.

The only good thing about Equniox is there gyms are clean except when people stand on the benches and don't wipe them down afterwards. Their app is great; however, classes can't be booked via the app for this location. After my 12-month contract is up I'll try another brand.

And the music is too loud... Even if it was my kind of music, it doesn't need to be played for the entire gym. Most people are anyways wearing headphones.
