Equinox is incomparable to any other gym I’ve ever gone to. The atmosphere, and staff make you actually want to go to the gym. Never once has the front desk staff not said hello, or goodbye, the trainers always acknowledge you on the floor and say hello even if you’re working out on your own. The cold towels are the best :) The steam room, the showers and the locker rooms are all immaculate. Machines are never broken and the gym is always extremely clean. I have to say there is always someone there to fix any minor inconvenience. The snack shop was closing prior to me finishing my workout and I wanted to order a protein shake and the front desk without hesitation kept it in their refrigerator so that it wouldn’t melt. The snack shop was also late to open and I wanted to buy a water and the man at the front desk went right to the back and got me a water bottle. It’s really the little things you pay for and they never fail. You feel appreciated as a member unlike other gyms. Plus cycle with Jess is the best class there!

I'm giving this Equinox location 5 stars only because of my incredible trainer, Natalie Pompi. She’s been an essential part of my fitness journey and has helped me exceed my goals leading up to my wedding—I truly can't recommend her enough!
As for the gym itself, it's decent, but there are a few drawbacks. The membership fees have increased significantly over the past couple of years, which feels hard to justify given the overall experience. Parking is especially frustrating during the school year due to the high school across the street; it would be great if the gym could implement better enforcement or towing to help with the congestion. Also, I wish there were more class options throughout the day—not just in the early mornings.

Wonderful facility. It is kept clean and well maintained. The classes are great! I had training sessions with Derrick Gaynor who was well informed and very supportive. Top notch place and training!

Pros:
-The gym is very well maintained and clean. Very clean. I came here for the cleanliness.
-The classes are a big part of the gym. Between cycling, Pilates, running, kickboxing. Etc. There is always an opportunity to join a class
- The price is about $250-300, maybe discounted through an employer. This is a pro if it matches your needs
Cons:
-The weight lifting area isn’t so large. It’s not “ideal” for the traditional body builder, maybe just class goers & cardio training.
- The classes can potentially hurt any anticipated private use of the studio gym. Normal.
- Parking can get limited during peak hours
- Reformer Pilates isn’t offered as a class, I believe only mat Pilates

Would not let me join unless i saw someone from their sales department during work hours, 9am-5pm. I work a 9-5 too so I can’t do that. A neighbor joined without having to talk to a sales rep. I have inquired 3 times due to how close to me they are. 🤷🏽♀️

I’ve been a member of several gyms in the last few years. Planet fitnesses, crunch, retro fitness, New York sports club (barf), blink, and this one. The premium you pay for this gym is more than worth it. The accessibility and quality of the location are second to none. All equipment is kept very clean, amenities are kept spotless and are always stocked with supplies (as of writing this, shaving cream, razors, cotton swabs, mouth wash, towels, deodorant, face and body lotions…) and staff is constantly seen cleaning / disinfecting equipment. I have had nothing but great experiences at this gym and have seen results through their numerous classes. My wife has lost 30lbs and is in the best shape she has ever been, I feel great. I have to also mention how friendly and approachable all staff has been in addressing everything from exercise questions, to class suggestions, to billing issues. I have never been given the “run around” here. I’m a big fan of this gym and will remain a member for a long, long time. Highly recommend!

I’ve been thinking of joining Equinox for a while now but only recently actually did it. I have a history of inconsistant gym routine and was scared of investing so much and barely going there, but after joining i realized that the problem wasn’t me, it was the gym I went to.
At Equinox, the gym doesn’t smell, the equipment is always clean, there are plenty of classes, the staff is friendly (including the personal trainers who aren’t pushy if you don’t want to buy sessions) and the main thing is the people. They aren’t stalling the machines, they aren’t filming themselves on every set or simply being unfriendly.
Hands down the best gym i’ve ever been to and i didn’t even mention the bathrooms/showers/steam room. Also, the free towels are a huuuge plus!

Its a nice gym, but the dissonant, somewhat disturbing music they play in the locker rooms makes me want to avoid the gym altogether. I figure corporate has them do this to push people along quickly through their shower routine but it really just makes me want to quit Equinox and join the YMCA

This place is very expensive.... I don't do classes, so that has no value to me. If you do a global pass (more than one club) it is even more crazy expensive.
What you get as a gym at Equinox in this area is an upscale, well kept, clean club. Minus the classes that I don't use - I would say the Planet Fitness I go to out of the area is equivalent (minus the fact PF doesn't have free-weight barbell benches) - and costs literally 10$ a month.
But - we are in this area so with that said :
The other 'chain' gyms in the area are literally -5/10 with the likes of Crunch, LA Fitness (PC), with Planet Fitness (WP) at a 3/10. I gave LA and PF a shot here locally, and belonged to Crunch for some 6 months now. If you tried to make a gym that was horrible - learn some things from them. They've thought of screwed up things you won't (Crunch: would you think of toilets overflowing with no attempt to deal with it - I doubt it). Then (at Crunch specifically) add in the 'members' yapping on phones, lounging on what equipment isn't broken, filming each other on the gym floor and bathroom (which is a joke in itself given the photo subjects), and leaving everything everywhere including gargbage. There only reason there isn't more garbage is you can't find any paper towels as they run out. There are plenty of employees - but that's a whole downstairs social club. The one thing you won't need to worry about is the English labguage. None spoken.

Very nice place- I can’t share too many details bc I haven’t worked out there yet. I’m excited to take the classes bc Equinox always offered the best classes. (I’m a repeat customer) I’ll keep you posted.

Eric has a good memory for the sake of taking care of customers. Nice guy.
This place doesn't have many classes like Greenwich branch. But overall it is fine.

Great Facility, have plenty of heavy weights, love the showers, steam room & of course eucalyptus towels. If money is not an issue definitely a nice gym with great staff. Shoutout to Jenna, for making my experience here so pleasant.

I wouldn't trust this gym. I've previous had a great experience with Equinox, at NY Sports Club in UWS.
Mamaroneck though? Really bad customer service. They charged me for Personal Training sessions I did not use, on a card that I no longer check as it was on my old UWS account. They then charged the wrong card again, and didn't refund after not using free sessions.
Terrible experience, and they basically store $240 from my pocket.
As for the gym experience itself, it's about par but your paying extra. The 10mins it takes me to drive to LifeTime gym in Harrison has been well worth it every morning. Much better service and vibe. I would recommend checking it out.

Great gym great staff and equipment but the extras you pay for probably not worth it. Valet Parking is an absolute joke, I'm probably going to cancel membership the reason you choose a gym of this prIce point is because of the extras. Going to look into options, if you walk here everything is great if you've got a car and comming during peak morning hours beware. Valet attendants will ignore you as the chat amongst themselves in the parking lot.
