However, the manager Bryan is a very unhelpful person and very happy to scam/steal money.

I canceled my membership May 5th in person, then they charged me May 23, June 23. As I was overseas I was unable to check statements, after arriving back in NY, I see 2 unauthorized charges and I called on June 21st, I was told a manager would call me back either same day or before which I said make sure before this next cycle, decides to call me back a day after "billing" on June 24th to tell me I needed something in writing I canceled. When I said check your video footage and audio recording, he said we wont. Trying to scam someone out of 3 months of $333 is ridiculous. 0 care from Bryan to even do anything about it.

Pretty good gym. Laid out like a shopping center. One half has a 90s office aesthetic, other half is modern and sleek.

Main complaints are no flat chest press machine and leg extension machine has a two inch range of motion (get a better machine guys!)

Membership advisor in this location is rude and arrogant. The advisor Christine is rude and impatient, it cuts you when you trying to explain the process and rush you to hung up the phone without any interest in solving problem. I’m a little disappointed cuz the advisors at other locations are friendly and willing to help.

Overall, Equinox attends to a certain clientele who appreciates loud, noisy techno/rap music and a "trendy" atmosphere. It is more about "see and bee seen"" than about the level os attention dedicated to patrons by staff. I definitely decided never to go there again after the blasé receptionist with a "I-could-not-care-less-attitude" told me that a DAILY pass to use the gym for about an hour would cost US$ 75. Are you guys crazy? Or are you extremely selective about avoiding daily customers by charging an unreal exorbitant fee? I did not feel welcome and I do not recommend it.

Sauna is good as well and steam but they always change the lights it supposed to be a relaxing time for members now it they put this huge “concert” lights even if you close your eyes you still have this brightness in your eyes … besides that all ok

One of my favorite locations. I go early and it’s never too packed. I noticed so many equinox gyms don’t have much natural light so it’s nice to be in a place with lots of windows. The showers and steam rooms are very spacious, and there’s a food court, too! No tik tokers in there, either so it’s good to be in a room with serious lifters.

Be prepared to jump through more hoops than a circus performer, and have that credit card dispute number handy. Their promises are about as reliable as a politician’s campaign pledge. This is my first time reviewing this place but I have been coming here for over 2 years. I loved it up until we had a small inconvenience. So as such I went here and had asked for assistance. And they gave me an assistant manager. I understand that they are busy and have other things but she did not maintain a professional manner when talking to me and approaching the situation. I love Rockefeller center equinox. My only problem was on the girls room who was spying me. Always she was looking when she saw me. She is a bit old not too old. She was working for cleaning. I mean what’s wrong with her? Just do your job. So weird. Leave me alone from your eyes! That was crazy… I don’t know she is still working there or no. And haven’t been in Equinox last 4 months.

Rockefeller has always been a staple in my workout routines I’ve been a member since sports-club days im so glad kerwyn is still in the locker room and has not been moved around, his presence is warming in the morning. Secondly im used to new management but this bunch on managers are great i do not always come with a complaint but who ever the General manager is he/she is doing a phenomenal job as im seeing constant improvements to our time here at this club.

Worst experience ever , in this gym I was robe twise , I lose my tennis for work out and personal things in the looker , I put a formal complaint and the management never pronounce . Poor management. I’ll never be back to this location.

I called in advance asking if 3 of my friends and myself could try out the gym for a day without any fee and over the phone they told me no problem come in and ask for Robert. We got there and Robert was giving someone else a tour, we waited 15 to 20 minutes and then he saw us and told us the only way we could try the gym was if one of us signed up for a membership first. Also he said no other Equinox would even let you try the gym if we tried to pay them 54$ for a day pass. This was completely false because a week ago 3 of us were able to try the Roslyn location for a day at no charge at all. Essentially he wasted our time and money by giving us false information over the phone.

The gym is spacious. Locker rooms are big.The trainers and front desk staff are generally very nice people. The maintanaince staff does an awesome job and are very freindly if approached with a question. This branch has so much going for it. The big negative issue is that the management has changed three times in under two years. None of the managers seems to be fully engaged with the gym or with it's members and take responsibilty or pride in it. Once your hefty membership fees are paid the managers seem like they couldn't care less about you. Equinox uses the catch phrase " Life is Luxury" The hallmark of a luxury brand, however, is the service and care it provides it's customers. That is not evident here.

Frankly more disappointed with their decreased availability to work with their clientele and make accommodations. They continue to increase rates annually with frankly less to offer than when I joined years ago, fuller classes, no bike/scooter/transportation accommodations, a coat check that closed half the year, and decreased hours. It's unfortunate and makes us wonder if the cost outweighs the benefit of saying you're a member.

Nice location and bright open club. Club is bifurcation into North and South by long corridors. Some of the cardio equipment is quite dated.. Locker rooms feel a bit cramped. Unfortunately this club has TVs blaring in the locker area which is annoying. Huge steam room and one of the few clubs that also has a dry sauna. Big public spaces a nice Cafe. Great views of Rock Plaza.

I would have given 3 stars, if I were comparing to other Equinox locations, but assuming I should be comparing to other chains. If you are signing up to take classes, this is probably the worst location for it, timing of classes is off, quality of instructors and types of classes available not great (I mean bad) I work across the street but have to go to other locations to take classes, this place is for working with personal trainers 1:1 or working out on your own.

Favorite place in all of Manhattan. There is great shopping, better sight seeing, and so much culture within one city block. The NBC Studio Tour is an absolute must for anyone with even the smallest interest in the entertainment industry. If you go on the right day at the right time, you can even see members of the cast of NBC shows like Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. There are different things to do in the plaza depending on the time of year, but seeing Rock Center at Christmas time is something truly spectacular.

This is a must visit location in New York. It is clean and easy to get too. My wife and I spend an hour or so checking this out. We loved how it is just surrounded by all the tall buildings.

I really loved the name of this building. Equinox Rockefeller, it's such a wonderful name is it not. Plus youbgetvro see the church across the street which is pretty cool I guess. Anyway the name though. It's just such a great name. I think I'll name my kid Equinox Rockefeller as well. My kid will be the first to have that name, so it would be unique!

Although the gym is quite pricey, I have to say that, for anyone serious about working out, it is worth the investment. The gym is very large with every type of machine and excercise accessories that you could need. Even during the busiest times you rarely need to wait for a machine. They have all different types of classes that are given in the morning, afternoon, and evening. The most impressive aspect is their locker rooms. They are beautiful, very clean and sport large powerful showers with a sauna steam room.

One of the best Equinox clubs in the City. It’s spacious, natural light, great views. The spinning classes with Pam Nahal on Friday evening are just great. Given how spacious the gym is there is plenty of equipment. Locker room has been recently upgraded and looks nicer. Friendly front desk. Nice lounge area. Overall, would recommend.

Very disappointing! We arrived at 10.55 pm with the New York Explorer Pass and they did not let us in, even though entrance is until 11.15 pm! The so called manager refused to let us in, the rest of the staff could not help. We will certainly never come back.

The Rockefeller centre is really cool. So much to do there. The top of the rock is very nice with friendly staff. 3 levels of viewing. The 80th, 86th and 102 floors. Being able to walk outside is nice and you get a 360 degree view of Manhattan.

While I generally love Equinox, and I will be fair and not evaluate them on most things at this location because it's undergoing major renovation, I have to say that if you're only leaving one restroom stall open for use you should monitor it better. Especially when the staff to member ratio at the moment is 3:1, and that's being generous. Suffice it to say, on the macro it's phenomenal, but someone was clearly not doing their job.

It's a very oppulant gym serving an opulant clientele with a large selection of classes, machines, steam room, etc. However, I dealt with a very unprofessional personal trainer and there is no instruction on how to use the machines or achieve the results you want without paying even more than the extremely high monthly fee.

The newest of Equinox locations in New York, this is their largest facility, and in my opinion one of the best, mostly because it's so big that it never really feels crowded or cluttered. They have a really great variety of group fitness classes at all times during the week, and a decent selection on the weekend. Their locker rooms and showers are also spacious and clean, but could use an upgrade as they are a little dated. They have really great massage therapists at the spa as well (I recommend Alex). Overall, it's one of my favorite locations to work out at.
