Management at this location does not listen to member feedback. Above many things being out of order on a regular basis the water tends to be too cold to shower and the yoga studio has a routinely non optimal cold temp. The yoga mats are slippery either from being old or maintenance not cleanings mats correctly like other locations. People slip and fall in classes yet management has not replaced mats- the yoga towels provided are distressed and slippery on the mats. Very disappointing.

A lot of theft in the men’s lock rooms, you hear someone talking about it daily anymore. Showers take 10 minutes to get warm. AC barely keeps the gym cold in the summer. Excited to leave this gym!

His outright kindness and genuine care for his clients is not only top notch, but also completely authentic. I'm deeply saddened and disappointed by how my recent issue was handled by management. My encounter with Kelli, the Assistant General Manager, was far from satisfactory.

After a distressing experience with a trainer on Sunday, August 4th, I have decided to cancel my membership. The trainer approached me with intrusive and inappropriate questions, which Kelli later described in an email as "weird." Apparently, this is how trainers are trained to seek out clients, which is troubling given that the trainer didn’t even introduce herself.

Initially, the trainer made me uncomfortable by commenting, "nobody should be touching these machines with their bare skin," and then questioned whether I had cleaned the equipment. As a member, I find it unacceptable that a staff member would make such remarks. Regardless of whether I cleaned the machine or not, it is Equinox’s responsibility to ensure that equipment is consistently sanitized.

Things took a further turn for the worse when the trainer approached me again about 30 minutes later. She said, "I was looking for you to bug your life," and proceeded to ask if I was interested in working with her. After I politely declined, she proceeded to ask, "well, what do you do if you don’t mind sharing," while scrutinizing me. I shared these details with Kelli, who repeatedly questioned how I could prove that the trainer was not looking at others in the same way. As a woman who has lost 130 pounds, I know firsthand what I experienced and find Kelli's dismissal of my concerns unacceptable.

To make matters worse, Kelli threatened to hang up on me during our conversation because I was emotional. This behavior, combined with the numerous negative reviews about her, clearly shows that Kelli is not a good manager and does not care about her members.

Equinox used to be my safe space, but after this experience, it no longer feels that way. I am truly disgusted.

Really poor experience at Equinox Tribeca. After over a year of being a member in Boston with a great experience, I moved to the city and had to transfer clubs.

I joined equinox Tribeca and had a horrible experience.

The worst part being management. The club manager, Kelly, was the most rude and disrespectful person I have ever come in contact with. After an unresolved issue with billing, I had reached out to the club multiple times, and they continued to say that the club manager would be in touch, either via email or phone.

I waited over 6 weeks for a call, and never received one. After calling numerous times, I finally received a call back from “Kelly.” She screamed at me on the phone, refused to help me or escalate the problem, and then hung up on me. After reading other reviews, it seems other members have had similar issues with this same club manager. Really disgraceful.

Had a pregnancy emergency on the alley and my husband and I walked in to use the washroom. They clearly saw me sweating and being in pain, but denied me using the washroom because it's for members only. Really? This reminds me of the reason why I quit equinox in Vancouver BC. Do better :))

The gym is fine, its nothing special but its fine. The management of this stupid is HORRENDOUS.

I had a yearly membership that I was not able to use due to moving out of the city and the manager ghosted me when I tried to cancel, but I signed a contract so I understand.

At the completion of the contract I reached out to ensure I didn't auto renew on a yearly basis and was told by the front desk associate that the manager would give me a call. Crickets, I ended up getting charged in April. I reached out again and was told I couldn't cancel over the phone and I would get an email to cancel. Once again, crickets. I got charged in May. Called to cancel, and finally was successful in cancelling however they cant promise I will get refunded for the last two months and its up to the manager and they will give me a call to discuss. I wont hold my breath.

They have some great instructors but that's about it. Short on staff, they skip cleaning at times, fail to check sign-ups, which results in overcrowded classes that are a hazard, and don't have enough staff to properly clean the mats and floors in-between sessions, resulting in lack of equipment and cleanliness. Towels run out frequently. This place used to be amazing but somehow it's been degrading in service over the years. Hopefully it turns around some day.

If you are pregnant, there is very little for you. Instructors have no knowledge of how to accommodate pregnant women in their classes, and after Covid, as the quality of instructors has dropped, they have stopped asking ‘is their anyone pregnant or injured’ in this class. Shameful given the demographic of TriBeCa being home to many young families and pregnant woman. Reflects badly on management and erodes wannabe ‘premium’ image. Equinox will not be there for its decade long members through different life stages.

Decent branch; clearly older than many others. Rating would be higher if the gym was open past 6pm on weekends. Pretty much every other location is open till at least 7pm or 8pm on Sat/Sun (except Wall St, but this location isn't in central Fidi which is a weekend ghost town; it's in a large Tribeca apartment building). No reason except penny pinching to close this early, and Equinox should not be a brand to penny pinch their customers.

Compared to other locations, this one is not the best, which is shocking, especially in this high-priced area. For instance, I am not sure why this location doesn't have a coat check, and was not aware of this amenity not being available, I thought it was something that all locations offered during winter time. It forces you to use two lockers, which has been my workaround to this point. In the locker room, it'd be great to have more garbages, right now there are only two at the end of the sink area, which is often used by the workers cleaning up. These are minor things, just not what I am used to from visiting other clubs.

The maintenance manager has no communication and a good relationship from manager to maintenance employees staff ... he isn't friendly, he isn't understandable, he does not have a friendly relationship to ask for things. 1/2 the time the showers and bathrooms are dirty with the floor wet

What a nasty place! I was there- evening of Jan 2, 2017- checking in at the reception- and this guy- walking really fast and talking to the staff sitting in their cubicles behind him- bumps into me so hard he sends me reeling. Worse- he is smaller than me- so his head hits my nose so hard I see stars!

Everyone noticed- no one said anything. There was suddenly total silence. Talk of the three monkeys- no one came to help. I go to the locker rooms completely shaken- more by the attitude of the staff than anything else. I spoke to one of the trainers and he suggested that I tell the front desk manager about it. He came down with me and called the manager-Jose Taveras- and it turns out that this face butting person is actually a staff member at Equinox. So Jose fills out an incident report and gives it to me. Since then, I have reached out to various folks at the reception- even spoken with the general manager-Brittany Constantine who disclaimed any knowledge of this incident- and the general attitude is hostile. Talk of loyalty or just plain lack of professionalism- I do not understand their behavior at all.

What I love is the fact that I am actually a very old member of Equinox- been with them since 2002.

Just joined this Equinox and I loved it. I've tried a few Equinox gyms while out in LA and a few in NYC and comparatively, I really like this facility. I can see the trainers and staff being very personable, and Brielle Mach was super friendly and attentive during the sign up phase. Now I can eat all the pizza I want.

My wife had to cancil her membership because of unforseen circumstances. I called and spoke the manager Ryan. Although we felt bad that we had to cancil Ryan gave us no hassle, no sales talk, no questions ask refund. This type of service is rare. When we get back to NYC, we will definatley be joining this gym again.
