This gym has the usual equipment, but I really come for the instructors/classes and the spa. Lainey is AMAZING to book that post class facial, and I swear my skin has never looked better. She really takes the time to address your skin and its need; you can tell she has years of experience and I feel very pampered, even with a five minute express facial. Definitely recommend paying her a visit after one of the great Pilates classes this location has to offer, but book ahead of time as the weekend classes fill pretty fast. Worth the price tag to me, as private gyms just for classes are around the same price but with less to offer.

I’ve been a member of lifetime fitness for 13 years, I switched over to equinox for literally a week because I wanted a change but boy let me tell you , for 355$ this felt like a planet fitness with equinox branding. Don’t waste your money on this subpar location. Equinox is only worth it if you are going to a location in the five boroughs, If you live on Long Island, I would highly recommend Lifetime Fitness. Superior locker room, superior equipment, superior everything.

I moved to Queens and requested for a cancellation since it does not make sense for me to travel 25 miles from Queens to Woodbury for a gym sesh when I have the same gym in my building. The woodbury manager was nice to assure me it should be problem. When I sent my new property information, the cancellation was denied because somehow "the home location is less than 25 miles from my property." This is not true. Despite the fact that this is an all access membership, I only go to woodbury location. I do not visit Manhattan locations. What's more, no one told me that there is 1 year membership commitement. I followed up with conceige@.. no reply. By the way, I already filed a complaint with NY AG office for false advertising. I will keep contacting government agencies to expose unjust policies.

Hate this location. Tried getting a refund on spa service package I bought a while back, assuming the spa is open during gym hours but its not. I cannot make it during their extremely limited spa hours. When i had my assistant call to request a refund on the spa services or to transfer the funds to a store credit or apply to my monthly payment she got laughed at and called ridiculous. For an upscale gym, they have poor manners for sure. on top of switching from their Khiels skincare products to an inferior one and a generally worn down facility. There are more suitable options out there than the Woodbury equinox especially at the $200 a month price point!

I love the great customer service, spa (Denise’s massages are amazing!), trainers (Michael’s training/stretching sessions are fantastic!), and all the dance and yoga classes (especially Roya’s Zumba class Mondays at 7:45 PM and Lindsey’s yoga class Fridays at 5:30 PM).

I also love that the yoga studio is right around the corner from the front desk and across the way from the restrooms.

It’s the little things! The cold towels with eucalyptus and the staff cleaning the yoga mats before and after every class take my experience to the next level. Thank you!

Nicest location I've been to in all of New York. The showers are amazing and have separate knobs for water pressure and temperature. Lots of space to work in. Big beautiful windows with lots of sunlight and plenty of mirrors.

The entire Equinox Woodbury team is phenomenal and the facility itself is beautiful! Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The Equinox shop team helped me find the perfect Christmas gift for my girlfriend. The Front Desk team provides top tier concierge service as well. Best gym on Long Island!

I visited this gym several times and it's pleasant. Front desk staff are very polite and courteous. Even lent me a lock once when I forgot mine. A little tricky finding the gym through an office park, but worth it. It's very spacious, open and airy. Coming from the city, that's a really big plus!

One of the nicer locations that I have visited! I wanted to switch gyms for a more calm and clean environment. My member advisor Yeasreeb is the best! He gave me a great and straightforward tour and provided me with many member options to purchase from. Highly recommend going to him as your advisor!

I would highly recommend you go to any club except this one. The membership advisors at this club are not upfront and honest. They mislead customers and they have mislead me which goes against New York State law. When I first joined I was eligible for a youth membership and the advisor did not notify me of this information. I only found out about this when I moved my home club to a different location. As of recently they tried to give me a "special deal" for what happened in the past. What they did not mention was this deal is a promotion they are having for the holiday weekend not a special deal for my situation. If you are looking for a club where you feel like they truly care about members and will not deceive you I'd recommend looking elsewhere. The only reason I am giving it 1 star is because the cleaning staff are extremely profession and kind people. Do yourself a favor and use the membership advisors in different clubs it'll be a better use of your time and you wont face the runaround they give here.

When I went to equinox in Woodbury to sign up I had BRITTANY DEBOLE as my membership advisor. And I must say if I had 10 workers like her I would be Jeff bezos. By now she's a natural born seller very intensive knowledgeable not pushy answered all my questions very professional she was fun to be around and by the end of our tour I was happy to sign up and be around people like her at the gym I hope her bosses see this and give her a raise or something

Brought my friend under a guest pass to go to a class. I asked the front desk to book a spot for her as it was the only reason we were going to the gym. We arrive for class and they tell us that she is NOT booked and might not even be able to join class. This is really unprofessional when I asked the person on the phone a second time to confirm if she was booked and he said yes. Then when she tried to sign up to join the gym, we were given no information nor follow-up. It was very strange and poor experience vs. going to the locations in the city.

Imagine you run a gym. Not just any old neighborhood gym, but one that wants to attract an upscale clientele and charges its members, say, 5-7 times more for the privileges of membership.

Now, imagine that due to either theft or negligence committed by one of your employees, a credit card belonging to one of your members is stolen and used for attempted fraudulent purchases at a nearby Guitar Center and Foot Locker (charges which, fortunately, don't go through).

You would be horrified, right? Deeply embarrassed that this kind of seediness could occur at your supposedly high-class club and willing to do just about anything to make the situation right by your member?

Not Equinox!

When the situation I've described happened to my wife, I called James, the manager, to request immediate cancellation. James apologized and assured me that the membership would be canceled without any additional charges. Admirably, James wanted to handle a bad situation the best possible way.

Then, the bigwigs at Equinox Member Services got involved and overruled James: there would be no immediate cancellation. Although my wife will not be setting foot in the gym again, she would be required to pay for another 45 days. Why? Gym Policy.

Gym Policy didn't care that my wife's credit card was either stolen by an Equinox employee or negligently handled by an Equinox employee in a manner that led directly to its theft.

Gym Policy was neither horrified nor embarrassed. Gym Policy made sure Equinox got paid for an additional 45 days. This kind of shady business practice is typical of every gym I've ever dealt with, so I suppose it was naive of me to expect that Equinox would be any different.

You'll pay a lot more at Equinox, and in return you'll get stuff like eucalyptus towels. But if you're expecting that one of the things you'll be paying for is customer service with a touch of human decency, you will be very disappointed.

This Syosset/Woodbury Equinox is the type of club that just makes you WANT to come in and work out. Between the natural light, awesome machines, and the top-notch staff, classes, and changing facilities, I actually looked forward to coming here for a workout when I was a member!

Upstairs among the weight machines, there's a healthy selection of dumbbell freeweights, as well as a variety of bars, plates, and adjustable benches. The whole area is nicely mirrored so you can check form while you're doing your reps. If machines are more your thing, you'll find a good variety (and some more obscure ones too) to target specific muscle groups. There are plenty of trainers walking the floor, happy to offer advice on form, etc. while you're working out...a really nice touch.

Aside from the cardio and weight machines, one of my favorite parts of Equinox are the well-appointed bathrooms; his/hers saunas and eucalyptus steam rooms are the perfect relaxing end to some rigorous exercise. Finally, they've got all the sundries you'll need - towels, and dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, body wash, disposable razors & shave cream, hair gel, and even mouthwash. All of this makes transitioning to an evening out that much more seamless!

There's a juice bar downstairs if you're looking for a dose of post-workout protein (try banana, peanut butter, and chocolate protein!) I've never taken a class here, but I'm sure they're just as good as the rest of this gym!
