Fhitting Room is hands down the best work out in NYC. The coaches are knowledgeable and attentive. They teach good and correct form- I have so many friends who’ve gotten injured bc of bad instructors not correcting form. They consistently create challenging programs including progressive strength training that has truly been life changing. 10/10, Fhitting room is the best!!

Another great class at fhitting room, and the best way to start the day. The classes are always fun and challenging. The members and the instructors are encouraging and keep me coming back again and again. I have definitely gotten fitter thanks to fhitting room πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ’ͺ🏻. These workouts aren’t just for the body, they are a great mood booster.

This is an awesome workout class that combines strength training and cardio! I've had two great instructors here who bring the energy but also make sure to let you do your own thing if you need to. Totally recommend this place.

The Fhitting Room is hands down the best workout experience I’ve had. The instructors are incredibleβ€”knowledgeable, motivating, and always attentive. The class structure is thoughtful, with options to modify based on any limitations, so I always feel challenged but safe. I leave every session knowing I got an amazing workout in.

Had two great experiences at Fhitting Room! I am very unathletic and not in shape, so it was intimidating at first walking in, but the staff and the instructors are friendly and made me feel welcome and hype to be there. Garen and Eric were really fun, helped me with my technique, and allowed me to make modifications. The workouts were very challenging but engaging, and it definitely felt like an accomplishment once I finished. There’s a lot of different equipment I used during the sessions, which is fun to try out (at least for someone like me who never goes to the gym otherwise lol). I also found that the people in the room are encouraging, and it felt like we were in it together.

I’ve been going to fitness studios for almost ten years now and I can say that The Fhitting Room is the best!

When I first moved to NYC, I started trying out different gyms to see what worked best for me. The instructors made me feel really welcomed and the facility is very nice. Fast forward three years, and The Fhitting Room is part of my life now. I originally started going to the location in Flat Iron but sadly it’s now closed. I make the trek 4 times a week from Chelsea to UWS - if that says anything about how great this place is. The instructors are attentive and correct your form which is wonderful. I’ve seen great results and always recruit my friends to join. 11/10 recommend

Fhitting room is the absolute best group fitness class in the city. All of the trainers are incredibly knowledgeable, super kind, and really give solid individual feedback while leading a fun upbeat class. I couldn’t recommend it more!

This location was where I took my first in-person Fhitting Room class (I'd done digital for a while), and it was honestly the best workout I'd had in ages! The FHITpros (instructors) were really knowledgeable, taught me how to use kettlebells properly, and most importantly, they were fun! I've been going for 4 years now, and almost gone to 600 classes since then. Highly recommend!

I've been taking weekend classes at Fhitting room over the last 2 years and have come to enjoy them. The coaches have a very positive energy and spend the time to demonstrate how to do all of the exercises. They are active during class and walk around to give corrections, whether you're a regular or a newbie. The class is hard, but there are always multiple levels of every exercise so you can do the one that works for you. In some of my first classes, I was nervous about doing the exercises in smaller groups but I've come to realize that no one is watching or judging you. Everyone's working their hardest. It's a great workout! And the front desk and cleaning staff are friendly, too.

I’m usually in for Alex’s strength @ noon and love the energy and crowd she brings. The bathrooms are immaculate and front desk is always helpful.

I have tried a few times to take a class here and it is just not for me. The trainers are usually very knowledgable but the sound system is extremely loud: music and the trainers speaking loud into their very loud microphones really hurt my ears. They offer ear plugs but that is not how I want to work out. The format is such that you have to listen to all this fast explanation of what the class order will be that you basically forget right away because it is too much information to take in. They put you in groups and most of my experience is that the other trainees are not always very friendly and its just kind of awkward. I would prefer a one on one training or work out by myself. I have hurt myself with kettle bells here before here so I will not try this place again. It may be right for others but not my cup of tea. Also front desk guy was rude.

Group class that is closest to a pt session! All instructors give great direction and modifications if needed. Love the corrections while walking around the class. Music good. Friendly staff and members. Great locker room/showers! 100/10!

I was in Manhattan for a week and needed a place to workout (my home gym is F45). I LOVED Fhitting Room. It’s clean, clear, high energy and a tough workout that goes by fast. People were friendly and the trainer was fantastic. Definitely coming back.

Honestly it is a great gym. But if you use ClassPass to try and attend there is no flexibility if you need to shift from one class to another even if there is one hour between the two classes. They were not willing to make any exceptions or even try to make it right even though they were getting paid for the class I booked. Honestly pretty disappointing.

I took my first class through a ClassPass trial I had at the Fhtting Room Upper West Side. The front desk folks who were there helped me check in, explained all the facilities, and I have to say I was very impressed! It is very hars to find a gym that has both a sufficient workout space, but also amenities that people on the go can utilize like clean and comfortable showers, restrooms, lockers et cetera... I knew found my gym! Dale the instructor was great encouraging, and didn't come off as cheesy or robotic (which sometimes happens at places like these).

My class pass trial ends today and since I enjoyed working out at the fhitting room so much I figured I would just buy a monthly unlimited membership outright at the end of my 11 AM session today. Unfortunately, as I was en route to an 11:00 a.m. class today when I arrived at 11:03 (I know this because I parked my car at 10:59 AM and have the parking reciept to show it) I was told I could not enter the class because "they had just finished the warm up" and they have a very strict policy on if you finish the warm up you're not able to enter.

I understand a policy is a policy but (1) it was one I was not aware of, and (2) moreover there's a certain sense of professionalism that comes in running a business like this where grace and leniency around these policies are expected and often considered.

Sure if I showed up at 11:05 and people were well into the circuit with their weights I would have understood...If I showed up at 11:10 that's entirely too late to expect to jump right into a workout class... but for someone like me who comes all the way from Washington Heights to attend a class on the Upper West side, it is beyond a mild inconvenience to be told after driving for nearly 40 minutes in traffic, finding parking, paying for parking, over extending myself to ensure that I am able to attend this class and entering just a short few minutes too late that I simply cannot attend because of because "we would get into toeubke if we let you in".

I come all the way from Washington Heights to take this class so to say that is an easy journey via car, metro, uber, or bus is not easy.

Just for fun, I checked, an Uber to get to the class today wouldve cost me $37.

After pleading and explaining my situation a bit more to no avail the 2 teenagers who worked the front desk, they still refused to let me in.

I very politely explained to them that I was fully ready and committed to purchasing my unlimited membership today because I enjoyed working out so much. As concerned as they may be about getting in trouble for letting a customer in late, the bigger concern should be on how that customer responds to an issue of this.

YOU'VE NOW LOST A CUSTOMER!

It never ceases to amaze me how in a city full of workout options these studios can let patrons go so easily...

Tangentially, I will never forgive the pandemic for closing what was my favorite workout studio in the city. They had a very forgiving tardiness policy, fantastic instructors, and a reasonably priced unlimited monthly membership.

Based on other reviews I'm sure this facility will be just fine but it's a strong no for me. Time is valuable commodity on both ends of this transaction and for me I don't have the time, energy, or money to worry about an incident like this happening again.

On to the next overpriced HIIT style studio I go!

I will not be going back to this gym after this morning’s experience. I was 5 minutes late and they did not let me take the class. They said they have a policy where you can’t join the class late, however, this is not written anywhere nor was it ever stated to me. I’ve seen people join the class late numerous times and it was fine. The people at the front desk are rude and condescending!

I loved Pierre's HIIT class here! The class was very hard even though I work out almost every day, but he was really motivating and it seemed everyone was having a great time during his class. The front staff was very friendly. Their locker, equipment and others were clean and neat. I will definitely come back :)

I like the format a lot. I could use more intensity but my solution is just use really heavy weights. Good sized class with more than adequate room. I do Tone House quite often but the lack of weights and cult-like environment are annoying. Fhitting Room is a good balance. Oh, two trainers for 20 people is a great ratio. Thumbs up.

We have been coming here for just about 2 years. It is our favorite! The workouts are awesome, the trainers are AMAZING, and we always leave feeling like we learned something new and are a little sore the next day. The trainers take the time during the classes to ensure everyone has the proper form, and provide many modifications for injuries, etc. We love this place so much.

I took a class at the fhitting room on the Upper West Side on Friday at 4:30 p.m. I notified the trainers before hands about what I could and could not do. They were so helpful. They showed me modifications and adjusted my posture. They made sure I was lifting and moving without hurting my body. Melody and Rich were amazing and I had the best.

Helpful trainers are cheesy but friendly and encouraging. I've been twice. Each time the trainers help me with form which I appreciated. Clean showers with towels and toiletries are also a great perk.

Fhitting Room is perfect for a non-stop HIIT session. It provides me with the cardio and intensity that I need outside of my regular gym routine.

The new location is conveniently located close to the 86th crosstown bus and the B and C train.

Dennys my favorite but all the trainers are awesome.
