Enough equipment for a good workout. Watch out for the nearly overflowing non-flushing toilet, shit/piss/puke left in the toilet, no hot water, and no hand towels to be seen. Most people there are helpful when you ask for help. Red Flag: do not hire Meg as your trainer (I am a former client of hers and she subtly did this to me). Why? She is a huge attention hound (hey look at me, I'm great, and perfect). She does not vary your program even if you ask her to or listen to you when you tell her that you want to learn a particular program like powerlifting. Then, she'll chew you out for being difficult, tell you that you are fighting her at every turn, and tell you that you are a horrible student. She will waste the first 10 to 15 minutes of your scheduled time because she is still with her previous client. She will talk about you behind your back and act "stupid" because it came back to you. She will also post things about what horrible health you are in, especially if you have a disease or disorder that was diagnosed in childhood. For example, Type 1 Diabetes (Juvenile and autoimmune disease) or migraines/seizures where you need medication for your whole life. Either one, the person with those diseases/disorders are healthy just because they need medication! Be mindful if she drops you as a client or you fire her as your trainer, she "stalks" you at the gym and watches what you do. If she's programed something for you (even if she's no longer working with you), and heaven for bid you change something slightly, she will come over and correct you, even if you didn't ask her to! She will then complain to the owner that YOU are bothering her, yet you said nothing to her, nor did you ask her for ANY HELP AT ALL!
PS-What type of owner attacks or threatens anyone who writes a so-so review. Why not instead, fix the issue that the person brought up, but that would be just way too easy to do. Or, they accuse you of making a complaint to the health department, when you actually did not and then try bribing you by offering your membership back for you admit to something you didn't do (Actual text messages from owner, "I will agree to letting you back if you admit to me you made an anonymous fraudulent report to the health department. That way our secret stays between us and if ever get out of line I will let them know."). Why? The review/complaint must be true if the owner tries to bribe or threatens someone who writes a review (I wrote a review) or thinks that you made a complaint (I didn't and actual text from owner to bring in a lawyer. "Take that review down or my attorney and I are going to press charges for aggravated harassment.")! How is making a review harassment, especially if it is true and you voice your opinion or your experience with the company or with a particular trainer?

Went here for about 9 or 10 months and had a great experience - especially as a woman and member of the LGBTQ+

Matt (owner & trainer) is incredibly knowledgeable and intentional with every piece of equipment in there, and Meg is a great trainer!

I wish it weren’t an hour of drive time for me because I really did enjoy going!

As it pertains to cancellation, make sure you text/message Matt and he will take care or it promptly.

Don’t support the corporations; support local! And FF is not like Catalyst or Planet Fitness—it’s better. It’s the best “dive” gym you can find here in Buffalo. And you’ll be better for going.

Fitness Fusion is less a gym and more a glorified garage with delusions of grandeur. It’s not a professionally run establishment—it’s a cluttered, hot box with no AC, barely-functioning machines, and a vibe that screams “DIY gone wrong.”

Most of the equipment is either ancient, sketchy, or straight-up broken. The cable machines look like they’ve survived multiple near-death experiences and could snap or collapse at any moment. Several dumbbells are literally falling apart—weights coming loose, handles cracked. It’s hard to feel safe using half the stuff here.

That said, there are a few surprisingly nice pieces scattered around—like finding a few gold coins in a pile of trash. One or two machines are genuinely impressive and seem oddly out of place in the rest of the chaos.

The bathroom, though, is where things truly go off the rails. The toilet doesn’t flush, there’s no warm water, and paper towels are practically mythical. But the best part? The owner gets visibly angry if you dare take a dump—as if basic human functions are a personal insult to him. Maybe with a nose that size he just smells everything too strongly, because that thing arrives five minutes before he does. You’d think someone so sensitive to bathroom odors would, you know, fix the plumbing—but nah, just weird glares and muttered complaints.

The owner himself is a whole other story: short, arrogant, and so cheap it’s almost performance art. Talking to him is like being scolded by a cartoon villain who thinks he’s running Equinox. There’s zero customer service, zero accountability, and 100% ego.

Fitness Fusion could’ve been a gritty, underground gym with character, but instead it’s a frustrating, unhygienic mess with a few redeeming qualities buried under neglect and a big nose full of attitude.

If you still decide to go, bring your own fan, your own toilet paper, and a tetanus shot—just in case.

So grateful I found this place. First gym I've gone to in 10 years and I am hooked. Everyone is extremely supportive and positive, pushing you to your absolute limit and giving you helpful tips on progression. Matt is focused on each individual that walks in the door, learning your goals, your current standing, and how to help you get to your goals.

Best gym around if you want maximum efficiency, no nonsense, an atmosphere that prides itself on training and being your best self above all else. It's apparent the owner (Matt) has put his blood sweat and tears into this gym and that shows with the loyal clientele and constant upgrades to equipment and improvements to the facility. This ain't no planet fitness though, so don't get upset if there's an absolute monster crushing an axle DL with 500-10,000 pounds screaming to the valkyries. Again, no nonsense gym that has everything you need to train seriously, and it's open 24/7. 10 out 5 stars.

Also don't listen to the negative reviews. They're trash and Matt ain't got no time for that.

Most innovative and versatile equipment I’ve ever seen in a gym. Everyone is extremely kind, willing to help and answer questions. The owner is also receptive to his members’ needs and has ordered equipment/ accessories to accommodate his patrons. Legit 24/7 (except in snow storms for the safety of the guests). A visitor pass is only $10 for the day, the membership fees are very reasonable, personal training is also available.

Called in at 9:40 to ask if they were open. Laughter followed on the other end of the line followed by "were open tomorrow, Jesus" then hung up. Very rude individual who will not be getting my business. *update
Per response from fitness fusion I can only assume the page is run by a juvenile with no sense of what it takes to run a business or what the fitness community stands for. If you are in NY and looking for a gym check out underground gym (not sponsored just giving an alternative to this joke of a company) underground gym is clean, nice aesthetic, Friendly people, and tons of equipment you won't be disappointed

No BS gym. Clean, 24hr access, and the equipment you need to get your workout in. The owner is a little, uh, different... But I suppose it's endearing

Great gym. Great gym owner. Matt has consistently been adding quality equipment. One of the rare things about this gym is there is equipment for everybody's strength training goals be it strong man, powerlifting, bodybuilding or just general fitness. Gym is also open 24/7. Once gyms open back up I suggest you support this business!
