I’ve practiced yoga for some time, but aerial yoga at this studio has been such a refreshing and uplifting experience. The studio is small and intimate (5 max), which makes the classes feel very personalized. Because of the size, the instructor is able to give close attention to each student, ensuring we feel safe and supported while exploring poses in the hammock.

The classes are especially rewarding if you’ve done yoga before, since you can recognize familiar poses but experience them in a whole new way suspended in the air. It adds both playfulness and challenge, helping to build strength, balance, and flexibility in a fun setting.

The instructor’s English isn't her first language, but she communicates with demonstrations, adjustments, and lots of encouragement. She doesn't hesitate to come and assist you if you're struggling. In fact, the simplicity makes instructions easier to follow, and you can always feel her passion and dedication to teaching. Anything you can't do certain movements, just speak up and she will say skip or give an adjusted version of it.

This is a wonderful studio for yogis who want to deepen their practice, try something new, and enjoy a warm, welcoming space. I always leave class feeling both energized and deeply relaxed. Highly recommended!

So my friend and I took this class the benefits were nice after and the teacher is nice BUT some major changes!!!
- are you certified because she is operating from her apartment and it’s not a real studio
-she does not ask permission to adjust you!!!! YOU NEED TO ASK IF PEOPLE WANT TO BE TOUCHED
- DO NOT PUSH PEOPLE DEEPER INTO THE POSE, not everyone is as flexible as you!!
-This is NOT a beginners class!!! She’s asking people to do full splits, side splits, even a FLIP!! This is based on HER capability not on NEW BEGINNER STUDENTS!!
- You need to ASK if people want to do acupressure spikes and ESPECIALLY if you want them to TAKE THEIR TOPS OFF, tell them it is OPTIONAL, EXPLAIN THINGS
Do not just tell people to do things, explain why and let them no they don’t have to!!
Ask, ask, ask, explain, YOU COULD HURT SOMEONE.
My friend was uncomfortable and didn’t want to do the spikes at the end and you didn’t ask or make it a comfortable space.
Also you are giving people massages!! Without asking if it’s ok!!!
The lesson here is Do Not Touch People Without Permission.
I am lucky I said No to a lot of things but this teacher is not making a safe space for her students. It feels like you don’t have a choice for things. Definitely not coming back to this class.

Look I think you are a good teacher and you have a lot of potential but you need to get certified with a SCHOOL and you need to understand CONSENT. And learn Aerial Yoga for beginners truly not for YOU, for BEGINNERS.

If you are thinking about coming here, I would avoid, especially if you care about consent, and people touching or adjusting you with permission. IMPROVEEEE!!

UPDATE: She claims that I agreed to this in a waiver, but the waiver does not say that the instructor will be GIVING MASSAGES, TELLING YOU TO TAKE YOUR TOP OFF, PUTTING YOU ON HIGH INTENSITY ACCUPUNCTURE MATS, AND ADJUSTING YOU WITHOUT CONSENT. Also, any good yoga teacher who makes someone feel uncomfortable should never blame the student and should take accountability. She is here blaming me and saying everything is a choice but yoga is vulnerable and when you have people coming to your class they will follow your words because you are the example. Secondly, it is forced. When you don’t ask, you are coming into someone personal space FORCEABLY, meaning without asking. So yes you did. Stop making excuses and apologize, and start asking people for permission to be in their personal space.

I'm visiting this place over the years and I always advise it! One hour of fly yoga takes you away from all depressed environment we're living in, makes you feel your body, stay in a good mood, nice music, healthy exercises, breathing, candles, every little detail helps a lot. I had a horrible experience. I felt so discriminated. Either their Russian or Uzbek And they were speaking their language I felt like they were speaking about me. I’m not so flexible so I took the beginners class and The instructor Made me feel uncomfortable And I thought because it was a beginner class she would modify the Exercise. If you’re urban, and you don’t look like them, do not go because you will feel left out. It’s so sad because I’ve done many classes in Manhattan and never felt what I felt at this place.

Очень классные занятия йогой на гамаках!
Карлыгаш отличный тренер, она добрая внимательная, всегда следит за безопасностью и нашим комфортом.
Ещё мне нравится что Карлыгаш делает нам легкие массажики на спину когда мы тянемся. У меня намного улучшился ночной сон после начала занятий йогой и моя спина говорит спасибо, осанка выровнялась хотя я занимаюсь всего два месяца.
Если бы можно было поставить 10 звезд я бы поставила. Ещё нравится что тренер всегда внимательна к нашим запросам: так я просила больше поработать на икроножных мышцах и мы это сделали.
Занятия очень сбалансированные и меняются в зависимости от уровня группы рекомендую ☺️.

Karligash's studio has become my happy/safe space. I feel Air yoga challenges me physically and mentally, there are some positions requiring balance that scare me, but I like to try anyways (with Karly's help) it feels nice to overcome the fear of falling. Honestly, there is a before and a after "Air yoga" practice in my spine. Bedore, it felt stiff, (like a heaviness in between my shoulders), after 3 months I feel so light and more flexible. Same for my hips. Spinal decompression, Karlygash massages and circulation activation and the meditation laying over nail mats with my bare back has improved my sleep, stress levels, confidence in my inner strength and flexibility. I love challenges!

Try Fly Yoga was in my wish list for a while! I’m so happy I find this place one day true instagram 😍 it’s been already few times of my existence in there and I remember my first class …😄I was afraid hang upside down and stand on Sadhu board was really hard for me 🙈 Thank you so much the teacher Karlygash for being so sweet and patient! Thank you for this experience and help me to getting better each time…I would recommend this practice for everyone, if you try ones you would never back to regular yoga trust me 😄it’s so much fun and a lots to learn ! In the class (about 90min !!!) you gets full body stretching , neck stretch , light massage 💆‍♀️, lie and stand on Sadhu board and 15 min meditation at the end !

Such an amazing yoga spot! I’ve been going for a little over a month now and see such incredible results in my body! After each session I feel so calm and relaxed and stretched.
