Was going here for a long time. However, i ran into a time period where I lost my job for a few months. In that time period, I obviously had no money in my account. I planned to deposit some money as soon as I got a job back, to cover the missed payments and resume my membership, however before I had a chance to do that, they already sold my debt to a debt collection company, who now calls me every single day.

So now im in a situation where even if I do pay this money, I still will not gain access back into the gym.

I did try to call and get this all squared away before things got to this point, but unfortunately they hardly ever have any staff there, and the very short times that staff are present, were all times that I had to be at work.

All in all.... good gym, but needs to be managed better.

I am a professional athlete & know my way around a gym. Having access to a 24/7 gym is amazing, and they do not fail in equipment & amenities. The gym is clean, professional and assessable. Also, you get a prompt response when you need something.

I normally do not leave reviews but I was impressed. I recently moved and I had to cancel my membership/contract early via email (please make sure you read on their website the termination policy) and it was done the same day! Also I used to be a part of the early morning crowd and I never had a bad experience with any other members. It’s very laid back and respectful. Everyone wiped down equipment after each use. MY ONLY COMPLAINT is that one of the unisex shower room/bathroom had an inoperative exhaust fan. Meaning visible mold growth on that ceiling from the steam of shower water…. However the ladies bathroom was always very clean with operating fan! If I ever moved back locally I would choose this gym in a heartbeat.

This gym is perfect for me personally. Being a former multiple gym owner in Florida I certainly appreciate an owner that cares about the details. This gym has always been clean including the bathrooms. More than enough cardio equipment. Never waiting for any stations is always a plus. Employees are friendly and helpful. Trainers are available if you would like. Massage chairs are available with your membership. And my favorite thing is it’s 24/7. No excuses—-get it done 💪. Highly recommended

I love this gym. It has everything I need & it’s never busy nor crowded. I feel safe and confident coming here. It’s clean and has great amenities for the price you pay. I used to go to LA fitness & it was atrocious. Thank you for keeping this place clean and open 24/7!

Since I started with free time I truly love that 24/7. Other places say 24 but they aren't they do have some limited closing times.

I'm up at all hours so free time works. I love the facility. I can't wait until there are more locations to visit.

I used to love this gym. However it is never staffed. One reason I joined was that i liked that they have TVs on the treadmills. Well, none of them work and haven’t for weeks. The treadmills usually are broken or the incline doesn’t work. They are very outdated. I feel like the Amherst location is forgotten about and the other location is the only one that is cared for.

Aside from the fact the equipment is outdated, random pieces missing from benches, it’s dirty. I joined because it was small and convenient. I won’t bash the facility because it was what I needed at the time. The hydro massager is great, though. It’s a very basic gym and doable when it’s not busy. I pay for two gyms; I’m locked into this one for 12 months, however, my needs have changed: I prefer an updated facility, with more room and equipment.

The real issue now is, my son, a college student, signed up for the “student membership” which entails three months. After the three months were up (my son stopped going because it was ended), they continued to bill, including an additional $25 ANNUAL fee. Be reminded it’s a “three month membership”. When I finally realized what happened, I sent an email, and was told the “membership automatically renews”. Their website exactly states:
Student Membership:
$40/month*
*Current/Valid Student ID required
3 month contract
No Signup Fee (All locations)

I don’t know of any student who’d pay more than a regular/full membership which is $39/month (for one site). I’ve asked for reimbursement, for those months that were inadvertently/automatically paid, and was told no, it’s policy.

Shame on me for not recognizing the charges for four months, but shame on them for their so called policy on student memberships “renewing”. Regardless, it’s poor business practice, and just based on the lack of ethics; understanding; and integrity, there is a zero chance I’d recommend becoming a member to anyone. I’ll continue to pay until my membership expires, which is a 12 month contract. I hope to them that it’s all worth losing a client and respect in the end.

It's looks like an anytime fitness. Pops up as the first search result. All the same color and branding. Guess the switched recently and unless you're a local you wouldn't know. Faults on me for not paying closer attention but they clearly haven't made much of an effort to rebrand other than a half-hearted name change.

I attempted to cancel my membership 5 months ago due to moving and was told my account would be cancelled. I had been charged for three months following that my membership was cancelled, in which I had to confirm my account was cancelled and told it was. I received a check in the mail as a refund and I was just charged AGAIN today. Terrible customer service, at this point I think they’re just scamming me

A nice gym that's open 24x7. Fully automated, only allows members to enter, so no staff required technically. But they are present in set hours. They are super friendly. A great convenient gym for 25$ a month. Never busy which I like a lot

I had an outstanding time at Free Time Fitness 24/7 in Amherst! The impeccable maintenance of their fitness equipment truly impressed me.

Great staff. Knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Gym is clean and not too large. The people attending the gym are friendly and approachable. The hydro-massage is especially nice! It is always open so you can go when the time fits your schedule. If you want to take a tour, just show up and the staff will be happy to give you a tour.

Love it. I joined after *mumbles* years of not going to a gym and it's perfect. It's clean, has good equipment, and members are friendly without being intrusive. The staff are helpful and the amenities are nice. It is also a great cost for what you get -- it would be fantastic even if it cost more, but I'm grateful it doesn't, since it's a simply stellar value.

Great gym. Always clean with great amenities. Hydromassage is awesome. Comfortable massage chairs are great for post workout. Showers and bathrooms are clean. Plenty of free weights and room to work, including a side room that is often free at night. Cardio equipment is top notch and well maintained. Great positive atmosphere with plenty of TVs, upbeat music, and inspirational postings. 👍

This gym should be named Gem Fitness, because it is a gem in this area.
I don't know where to start to talk about how good it is. The gym is neither too small nor very large. I can say it's a small but very resourceful gym. They have pretty much ALL of the equipments. So organized and clean. Neither busy nor quite and idle. Most importantly it is 24/7. The location of the gym is Amherst but it should be advertised to the North Tonawanda people as a North Tonawanda gym because of how easily it is accessible through East Robinson St. In the same plaza, Tops and Wegmans are open till midnight so if you need to go get groceries after gym, you have 2 options.
North Tonawanda residents who are not aware of this gem (including myself) think their only option is Crunch Tonawanda which turns off the music at 10:30 pm and shuts the lights at 10:50 pm to kick you out because they close at 11:00 pm. But OMG, in this gym you can work out at any time and nobody is rushing you out. I wish I had sooner found this gym. Also their limited hours plan (9 pm to 6 pm) is very economic and fits many people's lifestyle (including myself).

Convenient with good amenities. The towel service is really awesome. The stairclimbers are super weird though and difficult to get on and off of. I also wish there was a way to allow members to pick the music or request music somehow. I’ve been to other 24 hour gyms where they leave an ipad connected to the music and allow members to play songs by request so I’m wondering if something like this is possible.

Truly a great small gym, clean and awesome it’s open 24 hours. It’s a little pricy, but thinking I may stay at this gym because the staff is unbeatable compared to other gyms.Managers like Melissa and Jimmy make me look forward to coming, always are welcoming and are super helpful with any questions, and other staff are also always super friendly.

Awful! Owner is super unfriendly and makes you feel uncomfortable. I was asked not to interrupt her workouts (never had a conversation with her). I feel I was targeted and tried to reach out, but she didn’t respond. All members are not treated equally. My membership was terminated without any warning.
Trainers and front desk girls were super nice to my teen age daughter, her friends and I.
