Working out consistently at Gain the Competitive Edge with Kevin has improved my overall health, both physically and mentally. My clothes fit better. I can climb stairs quicker and easier- no huffing and puffing! My dog loves that our walks are longer with a quicker pace; my daughter and I can bike farther. I can carry more bags of groceries at once. And it’s so much easier to get up off the floor!
To me, it’s not about the number on the scale or having a bikini body again. It’s about being healthy- strong and fit- for an active lifestyle as I get older.
Kevin’s knowledge and expertise ensures we will be strong and fit as long as we keep showing up and putting in the work.

Coach K is great at knowing just how to help my teen athlete gain strength, agility and confidence. My daughter has done several sessions in the young athletes program over the past two years and there has been a notable difference in her performance on and off the field. Kevin is great working around busy schedules and makes the classes challenging and engaging for our daughter.

Kevin is fantastic! I will say that I have gone to many private gyms and the atmosphere here is so relaxed. Kevin makes you feel like you have a personal trainer and doesn't push you at the same time. He is wonderful to work with. The workouts are fun and engaging as well. You leave there knowing and feeling like you have had a thorough workout. I would recommend all my friends and family to go and work with Kevin. This is my favorite gym and I will keep going back.

I can’t in good conscience recommend this place to anyone. My daughter and her softball team booked classes here to get ready for the upcoming season. The owner told three of the girls who were excited from doing well on a particular drill that when they jump around and scream or made noise his PTSD makes him want to shoot them. The kids are all about 12-13 years old. Later the same day he told my daughter that she needs to remember what he said because her clicking a piece of equipment in her hand made him want to go in the back and get his gun. Other children also confirmed what was said and the rest of the sessions were cancelled for the whole team. Go at your own risk.

Kevin is a great trainer that has helped me tremendously throughout my soccer career. He is able to identify your needs and design a functional training plan for your sport.

He especially helped me during a time when I was recovering from injury. I was able to get back to the soccer field and compete at a very high level without worrying about re-injuring myself again.

I have been training for Kevin for about 6 years now and it is one of the best workouts I do in off season to prepare for my collegiate soccer team. Kevin prepares specific workouts based on the specific player and what they need to work on. Over the years of training all summer with Kevin, I have seen significant improvement on my speed and how I plant to prevent injuries. Certain exercises and circuits Kevin puts me through from what I can see, are what sets me apart from other athletes. Now however, since I am not home for the summer, Coach Kevin is still helping me set up and get through speed workouts while also checking on me periodically to see how I am progressing. He cares deeply about each and every person that comes to his sessions. I owe a lot of thanks to him for kicking my butt back into shape every year and for shaping me into the player I am today. I would be a very different player without Coach Kev.
