The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful at all times. Plenty of free weights and workout machines so there's very little wait time to interrupt your workout routine. They have a full basketball court, 2 full sized indoor soccer fields and 3 full volleyball courts. Downstate North volleyball club operates out of this location. They're also located right next to the Hudson Valley rail trail, which goes from Hopewell Junction to Highland.

My husband and I switched to this gym solely because they have a sauna but the women’s sauna is “broken” 75% of the time. The GM is not friendly nor is she helpful so confused why she chose this profession. Giving two stars because they have a lot of squat racks but if you’re looking for a gym with a sauna, look elsewhere.

Need to get the t bar row back. They got rid of this back in march and promised a new one would replace it. Like everything else, it just breaks and they do nothing about it. Been going to the Lagrange location 10+ years on & off as a member and non-member (day pass). But all of a sudden, they are telling me to fill out a guest waiver form EACH AND EVERY TIME I COME! But if I was a MEMBER I wouldn't have to?! So clearly Guest ARE NOT welcomed & my 10+ years of business Doesn't mean Jack if I'm not a MEMBER! I just hope they keep this energy for all GUEST and not just cherry picking certain people!

The quality of the place has gone down. Don't come here when it's busy, you'll be frustrated with the parking, loud, rude people and lack of clean working machines. Even on non- busy days, I'll be on a machine, and someone will walk pass several empty machines to use the one right next to me. Sigh. Some people act like they own the place!

If you can look past all of that and all you want to do is get in and out, good luck.

Gold’s Gym in LaGrange is a great gym with a lot to offer! The equipment is up-to-date and well-maintained, which makes for efficient workouts without having to worry about broken machines. The staff is friendly and helpful, always available to give advice or assistance when needed.

I particularly enjoy the variety of group classes they offer. There's something for everyone, whether you're into high-intensity workouts or something more relaxed like yoga. The personal trainers are knowledgeable and really focus on helping you meet your specific fitness goals.

The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that during peak hours, it can get a little crowded, and it’s sometimes tough to get on the most popular machines right away. But overall, the atmosphere is positive and motivating, and the facility is clean and organized.

If you’re looking for a gym with a strong community vibe, great equipment, and a range of workout options, Gold’s Gym LaGrange is definitely worth checking out!

Amazing gym with a lovely basketball court. However, I’m very disappointed with the treatment I received from the blonde hair (short hair) lady (her name might be Miera) on 03/07/24 at 13:10 ET. She’s slightly skinny and old. After scanning my card, the lady stopped me to tell me that I owed them approximately $80 because I have not been paying them, when I have auto pay set up after opening my account back in November. The lady hold me there for about 15 mins before asking for my name and who am I, which should’ve been the first thing in order to prevent wasting any customer’s time. After I told her who I am, she started apologizing and saying that she was looking at the wrong person. Apologized is accepted for sure. However, I do feel racially discriminated by her act because that was not my first time. That lady is the same person that helped me set up my membership as well after my first visit of the gym, which I felt like I was being monitored by her wherever I go, since I started with a guest pass in order to have an idea of what the gym was like. The only ask I have is please respect and treat all your customers the same way. Also, please do your research before accusing anyone of doing something or not making payments in the past. That should be a basic principle of customer service.

It’s a decent gym to be honest it’s not clean at all and the men’s locker room is always dirty. The sauna is another hot mess and the steam room was removed. I’ve never seen a cleaning staff. To me they’re just not worth it and i really tried twice.

Pros:
Made serious gains since I started here. The Mecca of bodybuilding. Lots of state of the art equipment

This gym is ok, but it does not have a pool and the sauna has been closed for the last 2 months I've been regularly going to workout. Also, they don't keep the Lady Gold's part very clean. Several times I've seen used paper towels thrown on the floor and one of the weight machines makes a high pitched noise bc it needs to be oiled. I used to go to the one in Fishkill and Newburgh and honestly they are way better, but this one is close to my new home so I have my membership here now.

Love it here! This facility is spacious and has a womens fitness room of which I love for a little bit more availability/ privacy once in a while on workouts. There is plenty of space to do sled/ walking workouts which I also love. Would seal the deal if there was more childcare availability times and or package within membership price.

The Home Show was good for gutters,windows,hot tubs, kitchen remodeling. They even had a swimming pool display(one. Bathroom fitters had one remodeling I like. Disappointed , no gardening or outdoor decor. One Chroprtictor, which I just might visit. He was young and his assistant was very good.

I’m new to this gym, not a bad gym, not a fan of cable machines. The y have several different items I have never seen before. The staff is very friendly. I would’ve given it a higher rating except their parking lot is literally a disaster. I don’t think it shows any respect for your customers that your parking lot is so bad that it’s dangerous to drive through the potholes could easily take out someone’s suspension and cause an accident. This place has the most idiotic rules. They will not allow parents to watch their children in the soccer field on the sideline when literally literally 5' away in the same building a full volleyball stadium has parents on the sidelines. Gold's gym does not think before they act! There is no more mask mandate. Allow the parents to see their children play. We do pay your bills!

Went there to watch my granddaughter play volleyball and totally enjoyed myself until I noticed the amount of adults without a mask on. WHY?!!! And why isn't it being enforced?!!! Do these people realize there are a lot of children who are not eligible yet to be vaccinated?!!! Wearing a mask around your chin is laughable. Also, a coach was wearing his mask below his nose and his mouth was being exposed too. There were kids playing volleyball whose masks were worn on their chins. I know it really is uncomfortable to wear one, but come on people. My husband and I are both fully vaccinated and we still wear our masks everywhere. I had covid last year and am terrified at the thought of being exposed to people who feel they're exempt from wearing a mask. I'm more terrified for the unvaccinated children being exposed. Please enforce mask wearing at this facility, more so for the children's sake.

They charged my card even though I was already behind on personal training sessions. Then my trainer quit, so I asked for that money back and it's been crickets ever since. The gym itself is okay and I've had great interactions with the staff but this is no way to do business. I've left 5 messages and the General Manager hasn't called me back. At this point I want to cancel my membership overall. I'll tell all my friends and family and anyone who will listen how terribly I've been treated. I know for a fact that others didn't have this kind of problem when they requested a refund. It's complete discrimination and I won't stand for it.

Updating my review to give 1 more star because they updated their website after my first post, but they still don't have the court hours so here they are
Only hours members can use the basketball court are before 3pm Monday-Friday. So no nights or weekends, basically if you work a normal schedule you are out of luck. Wasn't like this before COVID, and now even if the court is empty after 3pm or weekends you still can't use it because they don't feel like regulating hours, you have to rent.

This not my home gym but I have come as a visitor many times. This place is clean & has everything you could possibly need & then some. The facility is very large but still has a good flow to the layout. The hours are also better than most other gyms I’ve been to with weekend hours that run until 7pm instead of 5. Everyone I’m in the area I make a point to get my workout in here.

Was charged fraudulently by this company.. when I brought this concern up to them they did not refund me and gave me the run around, I had to call my bank and report them to receive my money back. When covid happened me and my fiancé moved back home, and before we left I left a letter stating we wanted to cancel our membership, 5 months later I was charged and they claim to have never received my letter. We haven’t used this gym in months and they put up a fight over my refund, I’m sure I’m not the only one. LA fitness and NYSC have been sued for similar shady activity. I recently started spending more time in this area so I figured I'd join a gym . Being an avid gym goer I wanted a gym that isn't a planet fitness type. So i decided to join Gold's. I have two options lagrange and fishkill. I thought thatd be a good thing just incase.
I have quite a few complaints right away!
1. Weights are never racked. And by racked I mean never in the right spot. There are 30lbs dumbells next to 90lb dumbells. And when its crowded.... there are a sea of dumbbells on the ground . It's not good when you have to spend 5 minutes looking through to find a matching dumbbell.
2. It is dirty. With old equipment. Even the front door is dirty.
3. ZERO GYM ETIQUETTE. *examples.... I was doing cable flys and 3 people walked right through where I was working out. Another time I was doing dumbell press and this guy decides itd be a great place to do dumbell curls right in front of me! Another time I go to a cable machine after I saw this guy leave and go across the gym to the other side. I was 1 set down and he comes over said I was using that. I couldn't believe it. Also a big issue is that people will do let's say a bench press and just leave the weights on there. Like come on man.

I'm not a negative person but this has to change . I do like that they have a raquetball court. And I heard the classes are cool. But that's all they are getting out of me.

WARNING. I strongly recommend avoiding this gym. Don't be misled by the high ticket price, it doesn't make up for it in quality.

The Cost:
They will try to squeeze as much money out of you by making canceling your account as difficult as possible, the upfront and monthly fee is absolutely overpriced as well as the annual fee.

The Facility:
They never clean their windows around the track so there are always flies and stink bugs around.

The front desk staff is very rude and act as though any request made to them is a personal offense ( don't even TRY to ask to restart the movie despite being the only person in the room)

The music is louder than your earbuds and repeats because they only source it from one channel.

No one wipes off the equipment after use, but even if they wanted to, it is very difficult to find the spray bottles to actually disinfect.

All of the machines are pushed together so claustrophopically that you will get sprayed by the guy sweating next to you half of the time.

I've been going there for years and slowly but surely the basketball courts have been repurposed. I think they are down to half a cluttered court on a good day.

The ladies restroom is pretty nice when it's not under construction.
