Lee’s TKD is such a wonderful community! The instructors are knowledgeable and helpful. My kids have been a part of the do jang for years and have grown so much not only in their martial arts skills but in their interpersonal skills as well. Can’t speak highly enough of all the people involved!

I have been a student at Lee's since 2009 and have had nothing but positive experiences. Every instructor I have had the pleasure of learning from has been kind, respectful, and dedicated to their students and the school. The kindness and compassion shown by both students and staff is remarkable. As a legally blind student, I have always been treated fairly and equally. Everyone is encouraged to reach their full potential and perform to the best of their own personal abilities.

We are absolutely thrilled with the experience at my Grand Master K.Y. Lees Tae Kwon Do Dojang! From the moment we walked in, the welcoming atmosphere and dedication of the instructors were evident. They not only teach martial arts but also instill valuable life skills such as discipline, respect, and confidence in the kids. The Masters and Instructors at Lee's are kind, disciplined, and truly care about our children. Master Gavin and Master Sailor were both fantastic — knowledgeable, respectful, and clearly passionate about their instruction. The environment was positive and welcoming.

That said, the pricing is significantly higher than other local schools, with classes limited to just two per week. Nearby options offer more flexible schedules, including unlimited weekly classes, at roughly half the price. Additionally, the lack of a military discount was disappointing, especially given how common that courtesy is at other schools.

Overall, the quality of instruction is great, but the value and accessibility may be limiting factors for some families or service members.

This Tae Kwon Do center is great. My son loves going. He has been going since he was 5. We saw the demonstration team at one of the Lindenhurst fairs. Started out with Tiger kids and is now in the Child program. Master Sailor and Master Alex are great instructors. Instructor Karen is the first person you see when arriving. They instill the discipline these kids need. You greet all the staff with a bow and either “Hello ma’am” or “Hello sir”. My son is currently on his orange belt. He was invited to join the black belt club and attends a nunchuck class and just received his Dedication pants. If anyone is thinking about joining they usually run a special to tryout it out before committing. Could not give enough praises about everyone.

Grand Master KY Lee Tae Kwon Do has helped to make a positive impact in my daughter’s life and in turn our family life as a whole. The entire staff is amazing, offering support and encouragement every step of the way. From the very moment I checked out the dojang to see if it might be a good fit for my daughter, I knew that I came across a special, inspirational place. I would highly recommend the dojang especially if you are looking to build up your child’s confidence and self-discipline. It’s a positive place to be for sure!

It’s comforting to see the overall dynamic the dojang offers when it comes to the children and understanding their needs, wants, and concerns. I really want to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone; you all have been so patient and understanding. I have seen the changes in my son overtime and it’s elating and a pleasure to watch! In the beginning I was not sure of having my daughter join but my friend had encourage for me to have her join with her daughter since they are good friends. It turned out that my daughter loves it. My husband and I love the respect and discipline is conducted in class and it shows at home. It pushes the students to go beyond and see that they do have potential to grow. I am glad we stayed. I do recommend it to others. As months have been passing my daughter is not only learning she is gaining respect and she is focus on what she wants.

My Husband and two teens are all members of this dojang. It is a wonderful place, where success is measured in effort not outcomes. The staff models such positive attitudes with cooperation instead of competition as a guiding principle. We love it!

My nine-year-old son has been doing Tae Kwon Do here for the past 6 1/2 years. All the instructors are absolutely amazing. My son has ADHD and Tae Kwon Do has really helped him in many ways. Everyone at Lee’s is like family to us. We wouldn’t want to go anywhere else. ❤️

My daughter and I have both been students here for over three years and have found the environment and the staff to be attentive and caring. More than once the team here has gone beyond simple interactions to make us and others feel comfortable. The instructors all take a personal interest in everyone's growth and health and are always available to help regardless of your level of experience.
