I had to do a sleep study. The bed was a little hard, and it's really hard to sleep with 100 things hooked to you, but the tech was very friendly and helpful. The room is more like a motel room than a hospital setting. Very clean and neat.

BEWARE- BILLING
The billing department is incompetent and is only there part time. I have not been at this club since March 2023 - 9 months later they still try to get money from my account. I had to cancel my card to stop the charges. Every month we call and the next month they try to charge me again. This is a financial hardship and I know we are not the only ones that they do this to. They blame it "on the system" "it is automatic". It can take up to 3 weeks to get a return phone call about billing, if at all. HORRIBLE not the management and team from 10 years ago.

**Also notice, if it is a negative review the owner does not respond to the post or acknowledge it in any way. Poor customer service

Healthworks, Corning, NY
Earlier this year I was having a problem with my blood sugar being out of control. I made an appointment with Guthrie Endocrinology where I was told I couldn’t get into an endocrinologist for 9 months and advised I get counseling in the interim.
I was referred to Healthworks. I sat down with a consular who gave me some tips on how to lose weight and change my diet. The initial session was 1 hour long with the latter 15 minutes showing me recipes etc.
The subsequent 2nd visit was going over everything I did wrong since I lost a whole ½ lb. This time running out of things to talk about, so just showing me websites. I realized I wasn’t getting the help I needed and went to Southern PA for a more knowledgeable person, which I then lost 33 lbs. I then cancelled the rest of the visits.
The problem is I was charged over $1200 for these 2 visits, which showed up in my eguthrie account. My insurer (BCBS) flagged these 2 visits and did not pay most of this, leaving me with the charges. The initial visit was $673.00 and second was $550.00. I am contending these visits are simply not worth this and excessively charged, and why did I need an hour for the visit? So look out, my insurer paid about ¼ of these charges.
Lastly, the billing was done in an obscure way, listing this as therapy for an entirely different doctor. Never mentioning Healthworks nor counseling, nor the name of this counselor, opting to call it therapy with an endocrinologist.

I'm going thru therapy from surgery performed for a torn bicep and rotator cuff. Therapist is on time and makes the most of my half hour appointment. Office staff are friendly and very helpful in making appointments and up to the challenge of my ever changing schedule.

There facility is nice, definitely plenty of equipment for exercising or working out. The therapy pool and lap pool are nice. Only downside I've found is there membership fees are quite steep! Maybe if there fees were more reasonable, they would have more clients 🤔! Just my opinion.

I go here to see a Dietician specialist and I absolutely love her! She is the sweetest person ever! She listens, really cares, and is always smiling. A visit with her just makes you feel so comfortable in your surroundings. Nor ally I hate doctors offices. However, hers I like :) and she is very helpful! If you want diet/health advice and help? The physical therapy office is the only reason I come here. Their knowledgeable staff will help you recover after an accident or surgery.

The gym on the other hand looks great, and it looks like they have a ton to offer including an indoor olympic pool. However, their membership fees are insane.

This is a great facility. Clean and temperature controlled.

Aquatic: Pool is available for dedicated lap swimming, a separate pool for exercising classes and a spa whirlpool. Seldom a wait for utilizing the pool swimming lanes. Locker rooms have bathing suit dryers.

Cardio: An entire room dedicated to all sorts of cardio equipment. A good portion of the treadmills and bikes have video capability, enabling you to walk trails in real world places and play games to pass the time. They also have completely separate rooms for classes with a lot of their own unique equipment.

Weight Lifting: Lots of free weights and machines. Wide open floor plan with plenty of machines to utilize even when it's busy. They have "tons" of plates *Dun dun tiss*, and any size dumbbell you could want. A lot of Hammer Strength machines.

Locker rooms: Has lots of good clean showers and facilities, with plenty of lockers to use and has a sauna in it as well. Mirrors and hair dryers all over, so it makes it pretty painless.

5/5 Stars. I'll be going here long term.

As a gym, it's fine. Extremely pricey for what you get, and only available through customer-hostile contracts. If something like a Planet Fitness opened nearby, I would switch without hesitation. But it's the only option near enough to Sullivan Park go make lunchtime workouts a realistic option, so we're kind of stuck with it for now.

The best health club in the area by far. It is part of the Guthrie health system. It has physical therapist along with the health club.
It has a large selection of strength training and cardio equipment s. It has a 75 yard lap pool as well as a warm therapy pool and a hot tub. Also each locker room has a dry sauna. Comparrd to the Corning YMCA the only thing missing would be a steam room.
While it is a very nice facility membership is pricy compared to the Corning YMCA. Also only membered are allowed.
