Industry Gymnastics has been such a wonderful find. From the moment you walk in, you can tell itβs not just another gymnastics gym; itβs a place that truly cares about helping every kid and adult feel confident in their own body. The coaches are amazing: kind, encouraging, and really good at meeting kids where they are while still challenging them to grow.
My niece was a little nervous to start, but she left her first class beaming and couldnβt stop showing us what she learned. Now she looks forward to every session. The energy here is fun, inclusive, and positive, and you can tell theyβve built a real community.

Gymnastics is a fantastic place for all ages. Their inclusive programs are perfect for our neurodivergent daughter. The coaches are focused and caring providing a fun, safe environment where our kids build confidence and learn life skills through gymnastics. Industry gymnastics is a community friendly LBGTQ+ friendly business where all kids feel like they belong. Recommend it highly!

We've had our daughter in this gymnastics school for about three years now, and we're so happy to have had the opportunity. We originally chose this place because it was clean and welcoming. We were looking for a place to get her moving and active - work on those motor skills. It has definitely delivered on all fronts.
From the first day, the owner made us feel like family! Coach Trent was her first coach when she was 3 and made such a fun and encouraging environment that our daughter genuinely looked forward to every single weekend session. Now, after three years, with coach Trent, coach Jacky and coach Tony, we've seen her grow in confidence, strength, and athletic ability, and we know this Industry Gymnastics has been a huge part of that journey. The community and friends she has built here are amazing and big part of reason we're not looking to leave any time soon. We can't wait to see how she continues to develop here!

Both of my daughters have attended Industry Gymnastics and both love it. My youngest daughter (2 yo) has developed a lot of strength and coordination as a result of attending their programs since she was a baby. We haven't had every coach, but we can attest to Coach Trent, Joe, Kelley, Siobhan, and Jackie being wonderful.

My 7 yo son has been attending Industry Gymnastics and we're very fortunate to have this facility in our neighborhood. He's done classes for 3 years now, summer camp, and some clinics or day camps.
His different coaches (Tony, Jackie, DJ and Tyler) have always been supportive - so, special thanks to them ! We're very excited for him to move up to Jaguars in the Fall. We let him choose every single session if he wants to continue, and he has never hesitated to say yes.
I have also done the baby classes with my youngest and it was really sweet and fun (coach Maria era!). I can't wait for my daughter to be old enough to join back in Saturday classes, as these start at 3.
Signup can be a bit stressful as there are more families interested than spots, especially on Saturdays, but we've succeeded every year since we wanted to enroll, by being quick and efficient at Registration start time. It also gets easier as the kids grow up. And of course, the registration priority during the year is key, making it smooth and easy 2/3 of the time.
During camps, the recent addition of aftercare until 5 pm has been a nice option.
They're very responsive in case of anything needed.
Last but not least, I particularly like their inclusiveness and positive messages, it's great to expose our kids to these early on and I'm glad they do that.
Long live Industry and Natalie :)

A very special and well-run spot where kids can go and be themselves, get exercise, and learn new skills and build strength and socialize. Both of my sons have gone and Iβm consistently impressed with Coach Joe and the whole Industry family. The owner is also lovely and they often help collect and deliver donations for local causes. Very lucky and grateful to have them in LIC.

My daughter had lots of fun when she first went, she finished a course so we went to move her up and she still had fun in her second course so again she finished that course so we again moved her up, she went for her 3rd course only to find out she was the ONLY one who would not be treated fair. the girls were mean, show offs and annoying it sounds harsh but Iβll tell you why ,1st.when my daughter was scared to flip off the beam she was peer pressured by the coach and she when the other girls saw this one of them screamed βcome on itβs not that hard just go alreadyβeven though she was was in another area (by the trampoline kind of area) then the same girl got up and hopped on the beam then proceeded to tell my daughter βmoveβ as she was about to push my daughter.the coach witnessed it and said nothing at all.just with what I have already said I have told why the people are mean and show offs.i will tell you why they are annoying.well they would give my kid mean and stank looks then they would yell things out and giggle again the coach said nothing but if my daughter screamed because she was about to fall on her head even a tiny bit she would get in trouble.all in all this business is rude ,angering and just down right terrible and they are the reason my daughter no longer has a passion for gymnastics.

Have enrolled our almost 2 year old in classes, and also took her to the drop in baby bobcats classes. All of the coaches are so nice and encouraging, while also letting the kids be kids. My daughter is obviously very young and canβt always focus or has trouble waiting, and the coaches are so good about being patient and encouraging to her. Such a great institution to have in the neighborhood, and so inclusive and an amazing community!

We love Industry Gymnastics! Both my daughters go for classes and camps. They have learned so much and LOVE going here. My girls have learned so many amazing skills, while growing strong and their messages on body positivity is something we are especially thankful for. They are 7 & 9 (going into 3rd and 5th) The staff and coaches are amazing humans and it's such a magical space! We recommend it to everyone! We live in Greenpoint and it's so easy to get to - right over the bridge, or right off the 7 train. We also love the clinics they do on Saturday, bars, cartwheel, etc. It's a great way to check out the space and dip your child's toe into gymnastics and the gym. Could not recommend more!!

My daughter Layla has been attending IG for 3 years now starting with no experience to adv Jaguars. Today, my wife and I had the great pleasure of attending her first showcase, well I was speechless to say the least. I regularly see my daughter doing cartwheels and bridges everywhere. But to see all the work and training today makes it all worth it. Thanks to all the coaches , coach Tony (from previous years) and coach Joe for their efforts.
Thank you,

My daughter just finished her first full year (3 semesters) at Industry. I was blown away at the spring showcase! I had no idea the level of strength, balance, coordination, and confidence that these classes were teaching my daughter. I thought they were just like jumping on trampolines and walking the balance beam, but oh my gosh it's so much more than that! My daughter LOVES gymnastics and looks forward to Gym day each week; she loves Coach Jackie who is so fun, positive, loving, reinforcing and challenging at the same time.
My son also took the Cubs classes with Coach Joe and we had an awesome experience there, too. Perfect for early gross motor development and those kids like mine who love to climb, dangle and swing on everything. It's a safe and structured place to do just that, so that he's more confidently mobile in the real world, without squishy mats below. Wish we'd returned for this year but I snoozed on it and spots are really tough to get. We'll try again for next year.
It is worth mentioning that spots go like hotcakes, and the gym's policies are on the stricter side so you just gotta know that going in. They run multiple classes at once in order to meet demand as much as they can in a relatively small space (and they do it really well), so their rules are rules for a reason.
I now view the IG classes as essential for my kids' development. In an urban world where our kids mostly walk on flat sidewalks and floors, it's the exact kind of vestibular inputs that I know is so important for kids. I also love that their environment is so inclusive and welcoming :)

Industry Gymnastics destroyed a young girl's interest in gymnastics.
As a family, we moved from the UK to the US in January 2023. My 11-year old daughter was doing gymnastics for years and she had reached the most advanced level for her age.
I first contacted Industry Gymnastics in October 2023 and asked if my daughter could attend an advanced group. I was told that she has to attend Tigers, the intermediate level. The concern was that she had not been practising for 10 months. Fair.
My daughter used to love gymnastics and never stopped training by herself at home. I repeatedly asked the Industry Gymnastics team to have her level assessed.
She attends middle school in Chelsea and went for an assessment at Chelsey Piers in November 2022, we were told that she would benefit from doing an advanced class.
We decided on Industry Gymnastics because it is walking distance from home and I could take her in the weekends.
I asked and asked for an assessment but the Industry Gymnastic team didn't see the point.
My daughter found the level of her class far too easy and lost interest in gymnastics all together. So she stopped going to classes.
My conclusion is that, Industry Gymnastics, does a good job but they treat children as numbers, not as individuals.

Our family is so grateful for industry gymnastics and what it has done for our kid. Itβs so hard to find activities for kids in New York City that are not only of great quality and care but also a fair price point. Well worth the money. I couldn't work remotely anymore and I couldn't drop my kid off for the class she signed up for. Their weekend classes were full. But I accepted a credit from them thinking I could use it on something else. I later found out that they won't allow me to use the credit for the weekend skill clinics, which would be the only classes that fit my schedule. It doesn't make any sense that a merchant would issue a credit that doesn't work on all of their products. That is not a credit then, is it?
They told me to use the credit for their camps or holiday daycare. I told them I couldn't use that because my kid would be spending holidays with family. They told me to just wait until next semester if there are spots open. There is also the possibility of us moving out of state next year, so I don't want to wait until next semester. At this point, I asked can I at least give this credit to my friend since I couldn't even use it. They said no. In all their responses, they cited that it is their policy to give no refund to be fair to everyone. They know I can't use this credit. Their policy is just a disguise for their tactic to force the parents to give up hundreds of dollars to fill the owner's pocket.
My daughter's dance classes, singing classes, art classes, and martial art classes were all at small businesses in LIC. Those same small businesses were all extremely helpful and understanding to allow me to switch my classes to the weekends. And in the circumstances that their weekend classes were full, they gladly provided a refund. Industry Gymnastic is a nightmare compared to them. They took hundreds of dollars from me and refuses to give it back. Please find a different school for your child. Do NOT go here. They are only nice and friendly when signing you up. Once they have your money, they really don't care about you. It is run like a greedy corporation with the fake front that they are a small business.
EDITED FOR RESPONSE TO THE OWNER:
To the owner, please don't keep mentioning that you are a small business. You've already done that in previous emails to me. I am a mom who works hard to keep food on the table for my kids, but I don't bring that up constantly to you. Being a small business doesn't give you the right to take money from families without providing the service.
Can you please explain how your policy of refusing to refund in situations where credit cannot be applied is beneficial for anybody else except your business?
Regarding the skill clinic, the age is not an issue as you made it very clear that you won't allow credit to be used for it. So even if my child is 5 months older and becomes 5, you will bend the policy to allow me to use the credit for it? Please explain, how the policy benefits your customers when you refuse to even allow me to let my friend use this credit since you won't let me use it due to age. Your policy benefits you and only you, it seems.

We are huge fans of Industry Gymnastics!
My son Benjamin started going there since he was 11 months old and he was so lucky to have Coach Maria. Benjamin was very shy at the beginning but Maria was incredibly patient, loving and encouraging. Benjamin ended up loving her class.
Now he's graduated from the Baby Bobcats class to the Cubs class. Coach Trent has also been great! Very energetic and knows how to keep the children's excitement up. He's empathetic and respects each kid's different pace. Benjamin is still navigating the more structured classes, but is making good progress with Coach Trent's guidance.
As an Asian family, we feel warmly welcomed every time we attend. The front desk is always so warm and friendly. We are thankful to have this great place to go to in LIC.

My daughter has been taking gymnastics here for a few years now and it is second home to her. She loves going and has gotten strong since. The owners, staff and coaches are wonderful. Truly caring, experienced and communication is excellent. Itβs clear they all love what they do.
During Covid, we chose 3 weeks of camp and it was the best decision we made this summer. The gym took their health and safety protocols very seriously. E.g. - daily screenings with temperature checks upon arrival, thorough hand washing before and after every activity. According to my daughter, the gym was soooo clean and they disinfect constantly and made sure the kids kept at least 6 ft apart. She always felt safe and we all forgot that we are in a national pandemic. It gave her a sense of routine, structure and normalcy and most importantly, she had fun. We are sending her back in the Fall and canβt wait!

My daughter's 6th birthday party was at LIC Kids. Paul was an excellent instructor. He kept with the theme of Frozen and even used music from movies my daughter loves as well as current pop music. The smiles on the kids faces said it all. The place is clean and neat. Overall, the timing of the party was great, though it seemed a bit fast. We were tossing the idea of having the children go back to the gym area after cake and pizza which didn't work out. That might have been better for parents so the kids can work off some of their food. There are several instructors (whether it's classes or parties) now that I have met and all of them are great. My daughter is getting older, so I don't know if she'd want it there again, but if she did, I would return to LIC Kids. I would also recommend it to friends. Comparatively to some of the places I've heard about from family, the price was not out of control. Thank you LIC Kids!

As parents are forced to work more hours it becomes harder to find reputable people to watch your child. A person needs to find a good care center that makes no bones about what they can do. LIC Kids not only watches your children, they provide many different types of activities for them, like many daycare centers do. They have gymnastics for your child if they're active and a staff that's highly recommended by those in the area. One of the best parts is that there's plenty of other kids to play with yours while they take a refreshing break from the unique classes they're offered.

This is one of the most unique, creatively-focused activity centers for kids I've ever been to. I went recently for my co-worker's son's birthday party, and it was a great experience -- especially for someone who isn't a parent. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and managed the party impeccably without diminishing the fun. The space is colorful, clean, and very well-designed, and they offer classes in everything from Chess to Gymnastics in addition to birthday parties. I've already recommended LIC Kids to my friends with children, and will continue to do so in the future.

You can take individual classes AND summer classes, in areas other than music. Nowhere else you can do that in the neighborhood. Thereβs a large gym facility and a separate classroom area. My son really enjoys the open play session every week, as well as his gymnastics classes. James is an excellent gymnastics teacher!
