I loved this place until they randomly decide to move ALL THE WAY TO NEW DORP FROM GRASMERE without much warning and did not tell me they were moving when I recently renewed my membership (and they knew at the time) for this I take Stars away bc it's not right. I did Not want a gym in new dorp I wanted one close to me. I do not have much time as I go to the gym on my break. I will not have to go to new dorp and back it I paid ahead am now have a membership to a gym too far to go to. I liked the trainers there and price was OK Compared to some other places so would have been 5 stars if they did not do the above mentioned issues

Walked in earlier tonight to find out that this location is closing down permanently after tonight and moving a 20 minute drive away to their soon to be open location in New Dorp, not exactly convenient for me anymore.

I've been coming here 3 days a week for the past 5 months and never saw anything posted about this in the gym, on the doors, on the boards by the front desk, and definitely not on any of their social media accounts until tonight.

I could have shrugged it off if this closure was announced ahead of time, but frankly the way this was handled was just unprofessional and slimy. why keep your customers in the dark and pull the rug out from them like this?

I signed up with intoxx under the impression that cancellation if within a week or so of when I signed up would be zero issue, of course it was, I went once, cancelled and of course they charged me the next month and of course the beginners fee, I called a couple times and spoke with different people. Everybody said only the manager can help but wasn’t available, they gave me email addresses to email and guess what happened, zero answer from anybody, they took around 120 after I canceled. When I canceled the person I dealt with was very nice and told me I was free and clear, GOOD TO GO. Of course BS. Kept charging me and I used a debit card I couldn’t even dispute, GO TO LA FITNESS . Much better.

I tried this gym on a free day pass and I was impressed. They are currently offering zero enrolment fees so i signed up after my workout. The facility is clean and you can tell the staff takes pride in keeping it that way. It has everything you need for a great workout. They wide variety of cardio machines, free weights and plenty of resistance equipment. Whether you're into strength training, cardio this place has you covered. The welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff made me feel right at home. Highly recommend checking it out!

I am an intersectional feminist and part of bipoc lgbtq community. I was a member since 2019. The general manager, staff and members allowed for another former member to bully and menace me for a considerable amount of time. This ultimately resulted in a revocation of my membership and other parties involved. I would visit the gym at different shifts and saw that many retired and older men speak freely and inconsiderately about their political preferences. Most of the time their attitudes were cause for concern. Every time, their attitudes showcase that they were so free to do what they wanted that they were actually free to act ignorantly. I made several complaints about my concerns which fell on deaf ears. This gym is not a safe place for everyone.

I had an exceptional experience at Intoxx Fitness , Best gym in the tri-state area. The staff demonstrated remarkable attentiveness, the equipment was almost brand new, and the gym's cleanliness was particularly noteworthy. There was no unpleasant odor present. The PB&J protein shake served at the gym surpassed any I had previously tasted, resembling a Dairy Queen milkshake, but full of healthiness. Moreover, the ample parking and efficient use of time, with no waiting for the squat rack, were highly commendable. Additionally, the sauna and tanning beds were truly remarkable.

Great gym. It has almost all the equipment you might need. Maybe just a few suggestions, it's missing a rowing machine that would be very useful. Also, the group classroom has a cracked mirror that wasn't fixed in the past year. And more yoga classes on weekends would be very helpful for people who work on weekdays. Anything else you might need, they have.

This gym is close to me, so I come here for convenience. But it’s become SUPER frustrating how hot it is here, like, always. Some days it’s unbearable. And I know it’s not just me who complained. They don’t seem to believe in air conditioning and any gym I’ve been to, that has never been an issue. Hope it is something they can fix!!

At first I want to say that I NEVER write long reviews like this but Intoxx definitely deserves it. It is hands down the best gym I have ever been a member off. Very friendly staff that literally makes me want to go and train everyday. If you like when things are organized and clean then Intoxx is definitely the gym for you. The vibes are great and everyone is more than ready to help with any situation. I would highly recommend it to whoever is looking for a new gym or wants to join one for the first time. Special thanks to the manager who really helped me find a trainer who pushed me the right way in my workout goals. I love that they have plenty of parking, classes, and state of the art equipment. I love this gym so much along with it's intimate setting and great staff. You can buy clothes, pre-workout, protein, and other beverages to get through your workout and for even after you finish. The cardio machines are all brand new and the weights are sorted most of the time but I always find what I'm looking for which is great.

I was struggling to find a good gym In Staten Island for a long time until I found Intoxx. The level of professionalism and customer service is like no other gym, and believe me when I tell you I have had memberships in a lot of popular gyms. At Intoxx I felt really comfortable, Starting with the friendly staff and the super clean equipment during these times. Also the prices for a monthly membership are super affordable. I have been a member for many years and kept my membership even throughout the pandemic. Great space with plenty of machines to utilize. The owners do a good job with the new safety COVID prodigals however they need to enforce proper mask wearing. Many members do wear them properly wear them while they work out where the masks are hanging on their chins. Members also do not practice social distancing. No one is monitoring the mask policy and its concerning because we have had a big spike in cases on Staten Island in the past few months.

I’ve just come back to the gym since the covid-19 lockdown and I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was very happy to see that they Rosario and his team are taking this thing seriously. I’ve haven’t seen more than 30 ppl in there at a time. There is always antibacterial gel and a cleaning spray with paper towels. Every time I went I’ve seen a cleaning women there mopping and wiping down the equipment. I feel very safe working out there.

The manager has a terrible attitude and is extremely rude a hater is more the word for a person like this. I totally regret even stepping into this place. Just to add as a side note that this place has low safety features. From what I saw safety is no concern by them. They couldn't care less if something happens to you. So if you're looking for a normal gym or fitness place this is absolutely not the place. Intoxx Fitness is the best value for price fitness club on Staten Island in my opinion. I've been a member here for over 3 years and each time I work out here I'm greeted by friendly staff, friendly members, and welcomed by a warm atmosphere. A lot of people may not think that's important in a fitness club, but other places where I've worked out as a guest just don't give their members the same attention. The staff here are helpful, knowledgeable, and able to give intelligent advice on technique, nutrition, and on the items they sell. The shakes at the juice bar are fantastic and they're always adding to their inventory of products. I'm going to remain a member here for a very long time.

This is going on my second week of being a member of this gym. Today around the 5PM shift I basically asked for a tour of the gym because I’m still not familiar with some of the machines and the guy told me they were not allowed to do so. But literally 10 mins later I see him walk by giving a woman a tour of the gym. I thought that was rude and distasteful. He sits around all day and talks to the girls that walk pass.

I’ve been a member of Intoxx/Dolphin for almost 20 years. This gym has the perfect balance of everything you’d want in a gym. It’s clean, has loyal members and everything you need in terms of weights and cardio equipment. Consistency with their personal training staff which is very impressive.
