I've been training with J & J for the past 3 months and it has been a game changer. Having been involved in fitness/weight training most of my life, it pretty much came to an end in 2022 when I sustained a labral and bicep tendon tear in my left shoulder. Not wanting to go through another surgery and rehab (had the right shoulder done in 2015) I tried to work through it on my own over the last couple of years but saw little to no progress. When I contacted J & J and explained my situation, they came up with a program to strengthen the connective tissue and give me better range of motion. Mixing static holds into the routine has resulted in much less wear and tear on the shoulder and has allowed me to make some really nice gains in a short period of time. I was terrified of getting a personal trainer but really wanted to get stronger. I knew I found the right person as soon as I spoke to Jackie. She is very good at her job and it's one on one training in her home. She had every piece of equipment needed to be successful. Jackies gym was spotless and she always cleaned the equipment after each client. I enjoyed my sessions. She has different prices for different amounts of sessions. Jackie always encouraged me to do my best and never bullied me or yelled. I love how strong I became and enjoyed seeing different muscles pop out. Unfortunately I had to stop for personal reasons but hope to return soon. If you are looking for real changes I highly recommend Jackie from J&J Personal Training.

Approaching the age of 40, my husband and I decided that we needed to finally try to get healthier. Between crazy jobs and a lot of sedentary time in our apartment, we’ve always talked big about how we were going to get fit and healthy but it never turned into anything. We’re classic examples of how it’s almost impossible to commit to a new routine unless you find a way to enjoy it.

We decided that we wanted to train together to keep each other motivated. Well, from the day we met Jackie, she made our sessions fun, exciting, educational, and so so satisfying! Jackie’s amazing at working with us together, getting us to challenge and grow with each other.

Never in a million years did I think my husband would be able to do a pull up and seeing him achieve that after a few months was absolutely amazing. And I’ve got my own big and little achievements too. I feel so much stronger than I ever did. Both of us feel so much more confident in general.

I love my slow mornings at home, but taking the bus to J & J twice a week for 8 o clock is the best way to start a day.

I had very little experience in the gym before I started working with Jeremy, but he made everything super approachable from the beginning. We trained at his home, which was fully equipped with everything we needed to hit my goals.

Jeremy was really clear and specific with his guidance, which helped me build the confidence and motivation I needed to finally get going on my fitness journey. One of the biggest things for me was accountability, and he delivered on that—helping me stay on track and build consistency, which had always been tough for me.

I can honestly say that working with Jackie has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

This year was particularly hard and the stress was taking a (significantly more than usual) toll on my mental and ultimately, physical health. I had been skipping the gym for a while and had absolutely no motivation so I knew I needed to make a change ASAP to find a place that would keep me accountable but also work with my limitations. Jackie has been extremely accommodating with my busy work/life schedule and I’ve always had clear professional communication with her.

I know how hard it is (and definitely can’t even do this at work myself) to be able to show up every day with motivation but Jackie manages to kill it every day with her personable and motivating approach. I’ve heard horror stories about other trainers who are too harsh or make you feel like you’re in a boot camp, but with Jackie, it never feels like that. She pushes you without being overbearing, and she tailors each session to my progress and goals. Even as an introvert, I find the hour sessions fly by as we joke or converse while she’s able to simultaneously push me to a physical point I’ve never been able to reach before.

The establishment is private so I don’t have to compete for space or equipment. But most importantly (especially in Queens), the parking spot right out front is SO helpful.

If you’re considering finding a personal trainer (whether you’re new like me or looking to take your training to the next level) I highly recommend Jackie’s services!!

This review is long overdue! I’ve been training with Jackie for about 1.5 years, and the results have been amazing. I’ve noticed significant improvements in both my body and overall strength. Jackie is incredibly knowledgeable and tailors each workout, so you’re never bored. She goes at a pace that suits you, but always keeps it challenging. I also appreciate how mindful she is of injuries, making sure that I’m safe while still pushing my limits.

On top of being a fantastic trainer, Jackie is one of the coolest people I know. Her great stories make the sessions not only effective but also entertaining. I actually look forward to working out because of her.

I started my journey in January weighing 180 pounds, having just left my long time fiancé, suffering from depression, and perimenopausal. Jackie helped me figure out how to eat healthier, and adjust my eating to my day, or in my case my overnight. I began a daily 1500 calorie diet, or as close as I could get. I learned to eat smaller meals more often, and consume more calories and proteins early in my day, when I would burn them off the most. Now here we are 6 months later, and I am down 35 pounds already!! It has not been easy, and I had a few ups and downs, but Jackie was always there to talk me through and get my mind back on track. If there were more than 5 stars, I'd give J and J Personal Training as many as I could. Where do I begin? I have been to gyms and personal trainers before. Somehow, I hadn't found my niche. I enjoy working out and looking and feeling better, but I did not find my perfect fit in personal trainers. My niece found Jackie from J and J and loved her. I asked for Jackie's number and called her as soon as I settled back into school (I'm a teacher). I immediately had a good feeling when I began speaking with Jackie. She was friendly, made me feel comfortable and before telling me about J and J, she asked me what I was looking for, both for myself and what I wanted in a trainer. I explained to Jackie I really wanted to lose weight and tone, as well as build endurance and momentum. Jackie reassured me that this was definitely possible with some hard work on both our parts. It wasn't just put on me; Jackie promised J and J would put in hard work to get me to where I wanted to be. I expressed to Jackie that I always wanted to work out before school. This was for a few reasons: one, I dread anticipating having to work out throughout the day. I want it done. I also wanted to work out early because a routine like exercise first thing helps me focus. The sense of accomplishment so early is incredible. This is where the other J, from J and J, comes in. Jackie was honest and told me her schedule was pretty full at the time and asked if I'd mind training with a male. "Absolutely not," I responded. Jackie promised she'd call me back within a half an hour. No sooner did I hang up, Jackie called me back and said her fiance, Jeremy, (the other J), had time in his schedule for early sessions. Jeremy is AMAZING too! He is knowledgeable of nutrition and exercise, and so much more. He is patient, professional, and so dedicated. Jeremy confirms the evening before and is promptly waiting for me at 6 AM. He challenges me and tailors great workouts each session. I can't describe how invigorated I feel when I am finished. Time passes by so fast because of the flow of the sessions. I leave my workouts happy and accomplished. I highly encourage any one who is on a fitness journey to look no further and try J and J Personal Training. It took me a long time to find what I was looking for. I feel stronger, both mentally and physically, and will be with J and J for a long time.

I enlisted Jacqueline of j and j personal training to help with weight i was gaining. She showed me some things i was definitely doing wrong. Like eating too much carbs that i didn't realize. I’m a gym rat and all-around waterman who ate and drank his way through the height of the pandemic. With little exercise and full liberty on carbs, I gained 20 pounds in the span of four months. I started working with Jackie January of 2019. I decided after years of saying “I’ll start working out again someday” or other excuses I told myself that it was time to actually look into getting back in shape. The last time I really was going hard working out was if I’m being honest with myself back in high school, at this point when I first met Jackie I was 33. I set up a introductory session with her and she asked me what my goals were and I basically explained I just wanted to get back into shape not really knowing exactly how or which workout routine to go by. The first session she had me doing tons of things I’ve never done before, lots of hit training and back and leg workouts which before I never really saw any need for. She’s super personal and extremely friendly and easy to get along with so I didn’t really feel awkward struggling with certain things, I confided in her a previous motorcycle accident that came very close to having my leg amputated and explained the challenges associated with the injury, she always took that into consideration and made sure I didn’t push myself to injury as hard as I tried to do just that. As time went on and I continued working with her along with doing a few workouts a week by myself using the things I was taught during our sessions I really started to see the progress. A few months in I met Jeremy who was able to bring a whole different view of things and other workouts that also just elevated my physical growth very quickly. He’s a really funny dude and makes pretty much everything you’d think is impossible look easy so he is really able to slowly explain and critique how to get past certain road blocks because he’s been there. In January when I started working with them I weighed 245 Lbs., by September of that year I was down to 180 doing insane Olympic ring work outs on a regular basis and completely addicted to going to the gym and getting my work outs in. My favorite day of the week was always Tuesday when I would get to see the both of them, it was like meeting up with old friends and we always got in a great workout and I always have things to take home with me to work on to get better at. I’d recommend the both of them to anyone looking for a change in their life, or get in better shape, no matter what the goal is reach out to them you won’t regret it. I never would have thought the workouts I do now is something I would have even been interested in a couple years ago. I’ve recently moved and bought a house out on long island, my only single regret is not being able to work with them anymore, but we still keep in contact regularly, like I said these two really haven’t been just trainers for me they’ve both turned into my very good friends/family.

I’ve been training with Jeremy and Jackie for a while now and they’ve always been amazing. They’re both very knowledgeable in what they do and actually make working out fun! You can’t go wrong with these two — gems of the industry! I highly recommend training with them.
