Love Kala Bushwick! The heated classes are so addictive I can’t get enough. The space and utilities are great. All instructors are good, with some of them being EXCEPTIONAL; each of them has their unique styles and offers such variety and diversity that always make the experiences fun & well-rounded.
This being said, I’ve occasionally run into fellow attendees who came to classes very sick (sneezing & coughing into the space throughout); easy way to get others sick. Perhaps some measures can be taken to raise awareness among the community that, when you’re sick, kindly practice at home instead.

I've been going to this studio several times a week now for almost three years and I can't recommend it enough. There's an easy sense of community which makes coming to class a treat. Monthly memberships are very affordable and educators are entitled to a discount. Desk staff, mostly volunteers, are unfailingly warm and competent. There are so many fantastic teachers on staff. I love Pia Fiato, who incorporates practical philosophy and a sense of humour into her classes. She's particularly good at hands-on corrections and always chooses great music. Jennie Epland is also trained in aromatherapy and as a Pilates teacher, so her classes feel sumptuously detail-oriented and often use scents. Nat Girsberger choreographs her classes beautifully, with balanced pacing, clear verbal instructions, and thoughtful reflection prompts to pair with movement, while keeping the tone playful.

One of my all time favorite studios. Great classes for both advanced and new yogis. Shout outs to Eric, Nat, Pia, Jenny and Jennie for their great classes and to Kate for running a spectacular studio. The actual practice room itself is well lit and large enough to accommodate a large class and small enough to still feel intimate with a smaller group of students. There is a shower too in case you need to go out after.

Coming to Kala has really started to change my life. I had tried non-heated yoga a couple of times previously, but never latched on - I couldn’t quiet my mind and was often turned off by a pretentious vibe at other studios. Decided to try heated vinyasa here and wow - the instructors are amazing, the classes feel welcoming, and everyone seems to understand and reinforce that yoga is a personal journey. Not to mention, the monthly membership is relatively affordable compared to most NYC gyms/studios. I am so glad I walked in the door.

Adam is a fantastic instructor. I booked a session through ClassPass, and aside from a restorative yoga class earlier in the week, this was my first time in a more active class. Adam was incredibly supportive, offering alternative poses when needed and making sure everyone felt comfortable at their own pace.
He’s also very mindful of personal boundaries. If you're not comfortable with hands-on adjustments—as was the case with my partner—he provides clear verbal guidance without making you feel singled out. For those who do opt in for physical corrections (indicated by a small circle plate you can flip), his assistance is precise and makes a noticeable difference in your form and practice.
The studio itself is clean and located in a calm, quieter part of Williamsburg—just far enough from the hustle and bustle.
Mat, towel, and mat towel rentals are all reasonably priced—literally less than a cup of good coffee from Qahwah. Just a heads-up: if the front desk staff isn’t there and it’s only the instructor checking you in, you’ll need to pay for rentals via Venmo or Zelle.

I've been a part of Kala since May, and I absolutely love the positive vibes and unique teaching styles each instructor brings to the vinyasa classes. Special shoutouts to Pia, Addie, Abbie, Kate S., and Maliyah – amazing yoga instructors! Kate S. and Pia's music selection are 100!! Apart from the vinyasa classes, I really love my Saturday mornings with Kate B. for Heated Pilates. Thank you Kala for your community love.

I used the first week newbie discount and experienced Kala yoga. A comrade from the area took me here and I got to try the vinyasa, heated Pilates and toning classes. All of them were really good and the instructors were experienced. That said, I’m not sure if I’d travel to this studio and pay the price. It’s good for someone who lives in bushwick and can pay the relatively high price.

Wonderful yoga studio in terms of class sign up, you get a free towel, mats are offered, and you can help yourself to water and hot tea. I go to the heated vinyasa every Tuesday and it’s always amazing. I’ve had several different instructors for this particular class and it’s always challenging.
I took the Thai Body Work class yesterday with my partner (something offered just this weekend) and was blown away. The way they had the room set up, the way it was taught, and the experience itself was worth far more than we paid.

I love Kala Yoga so much. It’s such a wonderful vibe the minute you walk in. Teachers always awesome. So many different class times offered. The studio is tranquil, decorated wonderfully and smells great. Maybe even bc the candles they have for sale (which I’ve also purchased) are amazing? Great studio!

I have been a member at Kala for 9 months now and can say I love it here. The classes are a great blend of mental and physical spirituality and effort. I think the variety of teachers lends the studio to be able to cater to a variety of preferences in practice. The studio is kept clean, and they recently did a series of renovations to repair some of the cosmetic damage done over time. The front check-in area is also a boutique and there are rotating artists' work on the walls in both the boutique and studio areas. I have never used the showers at the studio, but they just recently opened those up as well. All of the staff and work-study members have been very friendly and do their best to help. The studio has a great price point for their memberships (in my opinion.) The studio books through mindbody which I find very convenient.

I love this studio. I'm a regular practitioner of hot vinyasa and Bikram style hot classes. I travel for work so I practice in a different city/studio almost every week and I have to say that Kala is really one of the best I've experienced. Paula and Jenny have both been incredible teachers that are obviously dedicated to both the physical and more esoteric parts of the practice, like meditation, breath work and body awareness. The studio itself is clean, gets nice and hot (but not stifling like some of the more extreme spots in Manhattan), they offer free tea and have sweet offerings from local artisans in the front desk area.... I can't believe it took me so long to get to Bushwick but now I'm moving my schedule around to get to Kala more often! Ty for providing an oasis in BK.

This idyllic establishment was an absolute sanctuary for me when I lived in Bushwick/Ridgewood. I miss it every day. The staff, ambience, and practices held here are simply exceptional, masterful, and rare. I met so many amazing people and truly honed and transformed my practice at Kala. I felt so welcomed every time I stepped through the door into the pristine, glowing space, complete with a variety of stunning art on the walls. I can’t emphasize enough how much I miss coming here.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for hot yoga lovers. Best yoga studio in Brooklyn/Queens. I had the most memorable hot yoga class with the owner, and she was super responsive to my lower back pain, adjusted me throughout class, and even gave me a foot massage. AMAZING.

I really enjoy Kala. For me, it strikes the right balance between being spiritual and being exercise. The teachers each have their own style and personality that's super welcoming. I was so bummed when YES yoga closed so glad to have found anew home to practice.

This is by far the best yoga studio in Brooklyn. The space is much larger than most studios and is so beautifully designed (there's even an amazing boutique). The classes are always expertly taught and so thoughtful; it's clear that all of the yoga instructors are top-notch. I hope the community at Kala continues to grow because it's really a special place!

Attended their outdoor Yoga class at Green Central Knoll park and really enjoyed it! The class was well run and the instructor was very kind. I haven’t done a workout class since pre-pandemic so I struggled a bit, but something about doing yoga at the park was very peaceful and I’m so happy I did it. Everyone also wore masks and our mats were spread apart so it felt safe. Def would recommend!

As a first timer, Pia made me feel comfortable with being a beginner! “ you don’t have to look like the person next to you” when I struggled or was confused she came to my rescue and so did the people around me! I can’t wait to return with my wife next tomen :)
Thank you Kala Yoga and thank you Pia

Went here with a few friends for hot yoga with Kate last weekend and LOVED IT! I’ve done yoga all over Brooklyn and am so grateful because I finally found the perfect studio for me! Their practice is exactly what every New Yorker needs... we walked into a calming, beautiful well appointed space and all walked out feeling grounded, balanced and ready to embrace this beautiful city. Kate lead a challenging, yet completely forgiving class, accepting practitioners at all levels, yet never compromising the practice. The space is just stunning from the thoughtfully curated items in the shop to the incredible artwork! What I loved most was the feeling of acceptance and community. This is a space I will continue to bring friends, and make new friends for many years to come.

I took my first hot yoga class opening weekend and Kala Yoga. It was amazing! The studio is a beautiful and serene space. The teacher's instructions were easy to understand for a beginner like me, but I watched as advanced students took her cues to practice at their level. I had to pull myself out of their space as there are amazing gifts for home and self as well as incredible artwork welcoming you into the space. Can't wait to return for another class with Kate!

Beautiful yoga studio with a cute little shop and a meditation room. I tried my first heated yoga class here. It was tough but I felt great afterwards. I was nervous about it and the owner (who is so nice) was kind enough to show me a spot in the room that was a little cooler. I took the heated Fit & Flow class and it was a tough class but of course it was meant to be. Super happy this studio is here and looking forward to trying other classes.
