The guy who set me up with my membership was awesome. He showed me around the space, we talked briefly about goals and he helped me navigate finding the best plan to support my goals for the longevity. Disorganized and Disappointing Guest Pass Experience

I signed up online for a free guest pass at LA Fitness in Hamburg while in town with my wife. We’re here for the week looking at potential second homes for the summer and wanted to try some local gyms. After completing the online form, I showed up ready to work out — only to be told the guest pass was only for permanent local residents. That restriction was not mentioned during the online sign-up process.

They offered a $20 day pass instead. I was willing to pay, but they don’t accept Apple Pay and I didn’t have a physical credit card on me, so I couldn’t work out at all.

Then the next day, someone from the gym called asking if I planned to come in and use the guest pass — clearly no one had noted that I had already been there and wasn’t eligible. I explained what happened, but the person who contacted me wasn’t helpful.

Overall, a frustrating and disorganized experience. Clearer communication, better follow-through, and modern payment options would’ve made a huge difference.

Great Club, Chance the manager was able to find me a membership that was custom to my goals. They are a facility that knows what they are doing. I was super impressed with the staff, friendliness and the club over all.

I got a guest pass from out of town. Back home we belong to a luxury gym, but this LA Fitness is definitely on par with that! The environment is inviting when you walk in the door. The staff is smiling and engaged. The equipment is all clean. It’s airy and not too crowded. The parking lot is not crazy, which is a huge plus! Had a problem with my membership since I didn't go to the gym in a while, every single staff member said something completely different then I came in with my son after one manager said he would resolve the problem and add a guest to my account the next day I brought my son in and another worker said I had no guests I told him I was told different and the manager stood there and didn't say a thing about the promise he made me the day before... the worst part is as they were lieng to me telling me they took care of everything they said write a great review wich I did well I'm back changing that gym is just blahhhh...

I've been a member here since 2018 and took a break after Covid hit but i rejoined last Aug and the staff has always been super friendly. Most of them also remember you by name. The facility is clean and bigger than most gyms i've seen and I've never had any issues with any of the members there. The crowd is better here compared to other chains. When i rejoined, I decided to try out their personal training program to get back in shape and it has been an amazing experience. My trainer Matt has been great to work with and i highly recommend him and Maddy the training director is a pleasure to deal with as well. They explained everything very clearly and i was never surprised with anything during the program. They help to make sure you reach the desired goal with monthly measurement/check ins and keep you motivated.

Started a membership in August of 23’. The place was so dirty, I went to cancel my membership on November 23’. The lady at the counter tried to pressure me into just freezing my card instead of cancelling it. I told her no, I want it cancelled.

Fast forward to now. I’ve just realized I’ve been getting charged monthly for 29.99 since April 24’. But I cancelled my account, right? Apparently not!

The lady at the counter went ahead and blatantly did not listen to me. When I called today for a refund on the charges, I was only offered 3 out of 12 months credited and no more than that. Never used the services since Nov 23’. Never planned on going back. Never will now!

Enjoy my $350+ dollars LA Fitness. And wise words from a former customer to current customers…when you go to cancel your membership, MAKE SURE THEY CANCEL IT AND DONT PUT IT ON A TEMPORARY HOLD!

I've been a member for just over a year now. Left crunch in hamburg to get away from the sarms goblins. Better crowd here at LA for sure. Everything is great here besides the bathroom smelling like hot piss 24/7 and the lack a clothes the 65+ crowd likes to walk around in the locker room, so only 3 stars till they invest in some bleach and a stop at the underwear policy.

The staff is nice, welcoming. Been here for years and haven’t had many complaints until they switched to La fitness. The sauna is clean and heats up quick. There’s no shortage in cable attachments. The bathrooms are clean.
But, Both of the leg extension machines have been broken for MONTHS. No update, no urgency to fix. Every time I ask I’m given a different answer. All cardio machines are rusted and overused. The kids corner needs updating and more regular cleaning

My experience with ESPORTA Fitness now changed to LA fitness has been amazing in the assessment and personal training area. Maddy did my fitness assessment and was so supportive and listened to my needs and what my goals were for myself…not what the generic goal is. She always answered my questions and gave me great suggestions. Maddy assured me that my trainer would be a great fit for the strengthening goals I wanted to achieve and she definitely exceeded my expectations with Matt.
Matt is a phenomenal trainer who is very knowledgeable, professional, and patient. Matt has helped me so much in the time that we’ve been working together on my strengthening goals. I can’t begin to thank him for his enthusiasm and encouragement in this process. I’m accomplishing so much and overcoming physical barriers and pain in such a short time. I’m excited to see more growth and continue with training. So blessed to have Maddy and Matt’s A1 services.
As far as the gym and facilities, I do wish there was more employees walking around sanitizing equipment. I rarely see people walking around wiping down machines especially high traffic areas which will have me more concerned come cold and flu season.

Worst fitness facility ever. The place is dirty, machines are broke all the time. Then to top it, I've tried to cancel for weeks and the manager isn't ever there. I've mailed the paperwork, etc.. Now I again went to cancel and the entire staff mocked me saying I don't know what I'm talking about etc. Meanwhile, I asked for a copy of my contract, they don't have access to it. I asked for the name of the manager, they can't tell me due to safety concerns. I asked for a corporate contact, they don't have access to corporate customer service information, including contact info.

I had to file a PD report for proof of attempts to cancel. Now imagine this. They can't find corp info to file a complaint, but I found the chief of legal for Fitness International's (their parents company) phone number in 2 mins. Called him leaving a message. I will update when Robert Wilson "Chief of Legal" gets back to me...

They let to many people in with these guest passes from all over the place and the safety has gone down hill. There’s fights on the basketball court all the time now and most recent one the guy was searching for his gun because he got jumped bc they think they are NBA stars . If your using half the court and group that doesn’t even pay to go the gym will try to kick you off to play full court games. It’s a joke and wldnt be surprised if the place faced a major lawsuit if someone godforbid got caught in the crossfire

This Esporta is fairly clean, fairly average sized, and includes everything you might expect in a typical LA Fitness. It has a pool, aerobics room, spin room, weight room and cardio equipment upstairs. I usually go later in the day and it can get a bit crowded, but I've never had a problem finding an open machine or bench to use.
