I’ve been to a lot of gyms, but the LA Fitness in Webster truly stands out. The entire facility is immaculately clean — from the locker rooms to the equipment floor, everything feels fresh, organized, and well-maintained. It makes working out so much more enjoyable.

A huge shoutout to Matt, who was incredibly helpful during my visit. He went out of his way to answer questions, explain equipment, and make sure I had everything I needed. You can tell he really cares about the members’ experience.

I have been to many gyms , Webster LA Fitness is so well Managed. I’ve watched the Manager Tramayne and his staff greet the members coming in and say good bye on the way out. Tramayne also walks around the gym and talks with the members making sure their experience is on track with what they expect. The equipment is in very condition ,the bathrooms our clean and well maintenanced.If your looking for a great gym , go see Tramayne and his staff they will make sure you have a great experience.

I started going to this LA Fitness in early October of 2025. This facility is fabulous in every way. I love the Zumba classes and the Body Pump classes! The instructors are friendly, energetic, professional, and promote a welcome feeling. The facility is extremely clean; fitness studio, bathrooms, locker room etc. There is also a feeling of genuine courtesy, guests hold the door for each other and people are just considerate. The staff is friendly and pleasant. I look forward to the Zumba and BodyPump classes, a lot!!!

People that work there are super nice and helpful but the place smells funky and every piece of equipment including the ellipticals are all rusting. Not sure if it’s a humidity thing or if the equipment was stored in a wet warehouse as it doesn’t make sense.

I joined the LA fitness on holt road about a month ago. The facility is clean and not overly crowded. Coach Tru has been extremely helpful and attentive to me as a member. He seems to care a lot about the members here and knows many people by name. All of the employees I’ve encountered have been very friendly. I hope that they are able to add a kickboxing class soon!

The machines are nice. The pool has been out of order for several years. And worst of all is this: there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. Even after I told the guys sitting at the desks up front (this was a Monday morning), and they said that they
would take care of it, an hour later there STILL was no toilet paper. While other stalls may have had toilet paper, in reality you're only interested in whether the stall you're in has toilet paper. That's not how you service a high-end gym.

Gym is packed with high schoolers most times, has frustrating hours of operation especially on weekends, and most interactions feel unprofessional & forced with staff. Canceling requires having to see the Operations Manager in person or following up yourself on the phone with a note you had left in person. Ultimately did it over phone but if someone asks to cancel you cancel the hoops to jump through are awful. Other good options in the area.

I like the gym but it needs to upgrade their ellipticals. The ellipticals are not commercial gym quality. They are old and I wouldn't buy them for a home gym. I like the two lateral movement ellipticals but one doesn't work. Please fix .

Came in on a 3 day free pass and they directed me over to one of the sales reps who deceived me into a single-club membership after initially offering me a nationwide one. Been going for 2 years now , unfortunately this location isn’t the best at all , bathroom and locker room tend to be dirty majority of the time , no soap in dispensers, staff can hit or miss , most of them don’t even say a word to you , worst of it all is plenty mornings I’m at the gym , no workers on site no front desk worker and usually have to prop the door open , shouldn’t be paying full prices for a poorly managed gym also never has the Ac on , always hot and sweaty , no reason to sweat just sitting not working out

It’s a good gym with friendly staff. Changing rooms need to be cleaned better and more often. soap was missing from sinks, toilet paper out, the sheets to place on the toilet seat were gone, and paper towel out for weeks at a time. you can tell the floor rarely gets mopped. not sure how often they clean their machines either because many members don’t clean after themselves. If the hygiene was better i would give 5 stars. You expect more from a gym you pay 40$ a month to go to plus an annual fee.

The building rates at maybe 3.5/5 for cleanliness. Better than some but not exactly up to par by my standards. The atmosphere is decent and the staff are fairly helpful. The biggest inconvenience is their inability to maintain function of the steam room. If this is an important amenity for you, I would say look elsewhere. The steam room in the men’s locker room goes out of service at least once a month and is down for days or weeks at a time. When it is “functioning” it often doesn’t get up to full temperature. They should consider redundancy in the steam unit but I wouldn’t expect this in the foreseeable future from this team.

Good gym with a lot of equipment also s good community. (Reading the other reviews I have to say that I haven't had a problem but I also go as soon as they open and rarely speak to the staff. It's good if your going to get in shape or to grow strength. There are cardio options other than the pool. It's a gym not a YMCA so they shouldn't have to offer a pool but thats just my opinion)

I was a member here for a few years before covid then I stopped. I am now back and it is disappointing. The pool is closed permanently, there are few choices for classes and the most disappointing (though I do not use the class but my husband has for years) they have gotten rid of spinning. No wifi and they have every excuse for not having it. Just disappointed.

We have a student staying with us who doesn't drive and is a member of this gym. I have been dropping them off and picking them up. Everyone at the reception desk has been very accepting of me standing by the front doors waiting once I tell them why I'm there.

The other day the manager was at the location and despite me telling him I was all set waiting for someone he constantly badgered me about "checking in" and joining. After about a minute of this I flat out told him to leave me alone as I was only picking someone up and not at all interested in joining or checking in. His reply "Well I'm the store manager and I'll bother anyone I want to". Highly unprofessional, rude and borderline threatening.

I never write poor reviews because businesses are allowed a certain amount of mistakes in my mind. But we were coerced into thinking my friend could get a membership and I would be her forever guest, the guy that signed us up (Brian G) agreed that we could take advantage of this perk and work out together as long as one of us had a membership. Months later, he decided that we were no longer allowed to do that, and pressured us into getting separate memberships. He gaslit me into thinking that was the agreement to begin with and said I was on a 7 day guest trial, which was a blatant lie because I had been working out there for months at this point. Zero transparency for employees on a commission is really gross, when to begin with we wouldn’t have minded getting two separate memberships. Shady behavior, go anywhere else. They don’t have a pool anymore so planet fitness is on par and cheaper.

Been going here for 5 months & it has steadily gone downhill. They are out of paper towels in the Men's locker room regularly, they've been struggling with keeping the wipes for the machines stocked, the aerobic equipment is rusty & noisy.

There used to be a guy that was there everyday cleaning. Since he left, they place is not that clean. The shower I typically use hasn't been cleaned in at least 1 week.

I guess you get what you pay for.

For the price you can't complain. The equipment is clean and up to date. Yes, you might see equipment broken here and there but *GASP* that's what happens in a gym and it's usually fixed. There are also a ton of machines so even if something isn't working there's another option. It's not a high end gym, it's the type of gym you use if you want to get fit and not spend a ton of money. Are you going to feel luxurious like you're in a pampered spa? No. It's great for what you pay. You can lift rocks outside if you really wanted to.

Bryce L (manager) assisted me with rates and possible packages based on my needs, family size and affordability. I love this location; it is the best bc the machines are easily laid out, it is clean and never too packed. The staff is always friendly and supportive when you have questions.

Okay experience, went a few times last week. Somehow both leg extension machines have been broken (parts missing) for the past month or so.
Floors are dirty, and the gym is absolutely packed. When is LA fitness taking over this establishment again?

Not sure how they get any good reviews these days. Management has let the facility and customer experience erode significantly since they transitioned from the LA Fitness brand. Seems to be catering to a younger crowd and related or not the facilities and fellow patrons are not being respected. Drinking fountains don’t all have cold water, bathroom stalls and dividers bent, broken or torn off the wall. They removed all 4 of the paper towel dispensers out on the main floor. Locker rooms are always trashed and towel dispensers ofter out of paper in locker/sink areas. Sauna is frequently inoperable. Soap dispensers in showers torn off the wall and locker room vaping all the time. Avoid the Esporta brand if you have any other options!!

I used to go here years ago when it was LA fitness and I always enjoyed the pool for my cardio. I recently joined back up literally just because I knew they had a pool. Only to walk in and find out that for some reason or another it’s closed. Something due to Covid? Idk it doesn’t make any sense to me and none of the staff there had a good answer as to why it’s closed. It looks like it’s still maintained and clean. Corporate needs to get on this and re-open this pool!

A little pissed off currently because I was using the personal training since December and I wanted last month to by my last month and I got charged again. Brain (the salesman not the trainer) told me what day I would need to cancel so I wouldn’t get charged again for it and I canceled it on that day he told me and he canceled it right in front of me. So why would I get charged again? Why would I trust this place anymore? Brain (the personal trainer) was the only redeeming part of this place.

I'm living in NY temporarily so this gym is the most convenient one for me to go to for the time being. It's just like an other Esporta, clean, basic equipment, and it gets the job done.

The 2 stars is due to the front desk employee who closed on Wednesday, April 17th. I've never witnessed such a rude front desk employee in my life. She was going around to people, awkwardly hovering over them and interrupting their sets to let them know the gym was closed. The lights hadn't dimmed yet, which means it wasn't even 5 minutes until closing time yet. Everyone was looking around at each other like "what's her problem." I was finishing my last set a couple minutes before closing time and she proceeds to yell at me mid-set. Thankfully, I had my headphones in so I couldn't make out exactly what she was saying, but it was obvious she was raising her voice at me since I could hear bits and pieces through my headphones. As soon I finished my set, she says "get out now we're closed." I had words for her but I bit my tongue and just laughed. I used to be a district manager for a large gym chain on the West Coast and if I ever witnessed one of our employees speak to paying members in that manner, they'd be fired on the spot. Bare minimum, written up, if HR wouldn't let me fire them.

Esporta doesn't have an internal member review/feedback system in place, so I had to resort to here. Take what you want with this information.

This place is awful, not only they have false advertisement but also lack of humanity. Pool hasnt been working since December and is one of the reasons i joined. On 3/28/24 i got hurt while showering causing me a trip to Urgent care with 16 stitches and the night shift barely had any first aid supplies, i had to use mostly paper towels and a tiny gauze they provided to help with the bleeding. Incident report was filed and manager still havent contact to even check on me. Sent an email requesting cancellation on 3/29/24 and noone has answer yet. Called and spoke to Brian to cancel over the phone and even after he remembered the incident and me telling him i couldnt drive due to my head injury,
he still insisted i had to go in person to cancelled. After i risk it and drove myself to the gym, all he did was print out a form that he then told me to mail. Big false advertising, filthy place not even providing wipes to clean after you used the machines so you can just imagine the amount of germs there. Save yourself some trouble and dont go there. I needed to leave one star for reviewing but they deserve none .

Esporta absolutely freaking stinks lol. They take ur money while they let the place rot. I don't even blame the employees. For the most part they have always been kind to me and are most likely under paid and treated like dirt. The truth is that esporta exists for the sole purpose of taking the lower class and riff raffs money and keeping them out of LA fitness (the nicer gyms owned by the same company). It's the perfect scam and it's such a shame to see older folks and people who just want be healthy fall for it. Dirty, unprofessional and everything's broken all the time. Normally I would say "you get what you pay for 🤷‍♂️" and leave it at that, but this place just takes and takes while it just gets worse everyday. Support a local gym, go to a nicer gym or even go somewhere that's at least clean like planet fitness. Whatever you do, take the negative reviews seriously and go somewhere else. Highly recommend legends 24/7 in webster.

POTENTIAL GYM MEMBERS BEWARE!!! BRIAN THE MANAGER IS EITHER A LIAR OR INCOMPETENT!!!

The manager Brian over there is a character to say the least. Considers himself a salesman but can’t be a great one if you have to consistently lie about the product. Plenty of places with terrible management worthy of a bad review but this will be my first. Tried canceling my account within a week of starting the membership due to work relocation, which that potential was discussed previously with Brian. Called Brian and was informed it was canceled yet was still charged the annual fee a week later. Called Brian again and was told I’d be called back by corporate the following week to get it taken care of. Never was called. Called Brian again and was told I’d be called back next day. Never was called. Called Brian again and was told I’d be called back in 10 minutes after it was processed. Never was called. Called Brian back and was told it was taken care of and should see refund in 3-5 business days. It’s been 3 weeks and never was refunded and only remembered to check after being notified I was charged for the upcoming months membership dues. So after 5 phone calls with Brian, not only was I not refunded, my account was never even cancelled. Only got taken care of after calling corporate and even then had to pay the cancellation fee that Brian said multiple times didn’t exist. Long story short, if you talk with Brian, assume what’s coming out of his mouth is either a lie or wrong.

When i first joined i was given a tour including the pool and spa area, wasn't told they would be closed in December. I am still paying the same rate as i was before with less benefits. Never enough handles for cable machines, staff is constantly harassing my guest to join. (Why would they join when i pay $40 a month and have an unlimited guess pass and we always come together?) i could go to PF and we could both have a black card with massages and tanning beds for the price i pay for 1 membership here, only thing esporta has anymore to keep people coming is the free weights. Can't even pose for photos anymore because staff decided to address the few negative reviews on shirtless people posing, instead of multiple negative reviews about the pool, equipment, etc.

I joined the gym almost a year ago and signed up for the personal trainer. In that time I have had three different trainers at two locations, one quit abruptly and the other two were great. The facilities are good though it can be difficult to use some of the machines due to the amount of people at the time. The big problem I have is that I have been trying to get out of the trainer contract, which I should be able to buy out of at 50% of what’s left. I’ve had 4 conversations already and they charged me for another month instead of the buyout. They told me ahead of time I’d be fine, which I wasn’t and now whoever they are emailing isn’t even bothering to respond to the cancellation emails. What kind of business is this? I may have to cancel my membership if this continues.

Before I begin, they should fired Bryan the manager, I just came out of the office and he have me standing up in front of him for about 5 minutes he didn't had the decency of ask my to sit down, I told him I wanted to cancel my membership and he asked me why, I say I had an horrible situation happening to me this morning with Matthew the ffront desk guy, and he never asked me what happened he said oh well if you want to cancel that's okay...wow unbelievable.

I forgot to mention I'm referring to the Esporta in Webster, it's the worst of the worst. Im extremely disappointed about this gym, they're extremely rude , they don't greet us when first walking inside the gym.
They have this particular guy that works there like cleaning up the place he's so creepy he's always looking at us ladies in a very wrong way, he makes me feel so uncomfortable, I have complained about him but they never did anything about it because he's still harassing me every single time.
Today is January 10th, 2024 I usually sing in through my phone app, I have been doing this for over 3 years now, this morning when I went by the entrance the guy at the front office his name is Matthew he was screaming at me you have to sign in you have to do it now but he was really out of control, I kept trying to explain that I always do it on my phone but he didn't want to hear me. I couldn't work out I was shaking I went home crying after this horrendous experience.
Now I'm cancelling my membership because I know that they won't do anything and this horrendous person will still be there like nothing happened.
I just can't keep going there
I'm going back to Planet fitness, and I Don't recommend this place it's horrible.

Also not happy with decision to close pool. I have canceled my membership and joined another gym. The pool was not well managed - often closed unexpectedly, life guards leaving for breaks so that you had to plan around them, guards sitting throughout an entire shift. Since canceling my membership they have called me every day to tell me that my payment did not go through. Wasting my time and when I ask for the calls to stop, the rep on the phone calls me rude! The cost of my membership was fairly cheap but the hassle of poor management is something you cannot put a price on.

I'm not happy they are closing the pool & hot tub "permanently" in early December 2023. I can see closing these during the summer. But winter is prime indoor pool & hot tub time! Both are used frequently by members. They were not given an opportunity to discuss ways of keeping these open. Many who I have spoken with are upset. They have said they would prefer to have been given the chance to pay for the use of these facilities. I am in full agreement with developing creative ways to continue to use this much appreciated and used pool & hot tub. (Take-aways are difficult).

Absolute joke. I signed up here when I moved because it was on my way home from work. I’d drive an hour out of my way to never step foot in this place again.

This place has a limited edition hyper rare collection of all the worst gym characters you’ve ever encountered, and that might be underselling it.

Impossible to get ahold of anyone to help out with billing/cancelation. During my three weeks long venture to get my membership and personal training cancelled (two separate payments at a total of roughly 100$/month) i was told that the person who has to cancel it is on vacation, unavailable, running appointments, at the store, and anywhere else except his work. I’ve been told to come in and he should be here, only to find out “oh, he just left!” Even though I came in right after calling to confirm I could come in. They discontinued offering the pool, which is why I switched from Planet Fitness to Esporta, but will now be switching back. Planet fitness is easy to cancel/freeze membership, has friendly, caring staff, and clean facilities. At Webster and at Irondequoit, theft is rampant, lack of cleanliness is obvious, and order & responsibility amongst the staff is absent. There is no management. There is no reason you should even consider signing ip at Esporta, no matter how good the promo may be. Its a pain to cancel. You need a lawyer to threaten them.
