Very strange place. Website list so many classes. No schedule. Called to find out, was told renovations in the gym; asked fir how long, they told me forget it they doing it for a year already. Now reading reviews and see that an owner already responded to someone with the similar situation 3 month ago that all will be finished in 2 weeks. Well … i guess nothing changed.

Staff is awesome! Very relaxed and respectful cliental too. Cleaning staff are all stars,they do a phenomenal job especially the locker rooms. They’ve made some upgrades and improvements the last few months as well. They just need another hip thrust machine or maybe just a better version of the one they already have. No complaints and excited to see the finished product when they’re all done with the work they’re doing.

This place has not changed any water filters in a year. Instead of cleaning them and fixing the issue you may have noticed they turned off the filter light. I decided to see if the water was clean by pouring the water in a cup at home. This is disgusting. I would expect better from a gym I give so much money to.

Very disappointed ☹️ I am a member for more than 4 years I want to cancel this gym because of lot of reasons including over crowded.. been trying for almost 3 months and nothing but they still taking my money out of my account. No good 😊 You asked to talk to manager and not manager. The kids who are working there the only thing they can say is that they are going to call me but nothing…. On August 26, 2024, I received a call from a collections agency regarding a gym membership that has been inactive since 2020 due to the pandemic. The gym failed to inform its clients about the hold placed on accounts during quarantine. I distinctly remember a notification on their website stating that any updates would be communicated via email. However, I received no updates until, unexpectedly, a collections agency contacted me, demanding payment for outstanding fees shortly after gyms reopened.

I reached out to the gym directly, both by phone and email, and was assured that my account was closed. Now, nearly four years later, I received another call from a different collections agency demanding payment. They claimed to have been trying to contact me for two months, refused to let me speak, and then abruptly hung up. This business has demonstrated a very poor approach to handling customer disputes.

Becoming extremely fed up with this gym. I have been trying to put my membership on pause for the past 2 weeks now and have contacted the gym several times trying to get a manager on the phone. The manager never seems to be in -- Isn't the point of a manager to be at the business to manage the business in lieu of the owner?! They make it absolutely impossible for the member to cancel/pause your membership, it's absolutely ridiculous. On top of that, according to the front desk employee; they want me to pay monthly recurring fee just to have my membership on hold when I won't even be using their facility/amenities for a couple of months which is completely mind-boggling and I refuse to make such payments.. At that point just cancel my membership so when I do go back into the gym, I can go somewhere where they actually value their members and not try to price gouge them; as well as have gym that actually has a damn manager in the business.

Really nice gym & it’s pretty new which is great. They do have lots of equipment & everyone is really nice.
*Just a head up though if you’re looking for classes, they only have 2 now, spin & yoga. They have none of the classes that they advertise on their website. I understand Covid happened but it’s been a few years now, maybe fix your site to align with what you really have going on. I joined specifically for all the classes & now I’m stuck in a yr contract with them while also going to BAA for their classes.

Great gym through and through, especially with the improvements made as of late. However, recent trends in culture internally has proven some concerning trends. Why certain members think taking squat/deadlift racks to themselves for hours on hand to chest press minimal weights is beyond me. Perhaps staying on FaceTime between sets is a culture to “life” that they want to provide with the “fitness” we all strive for.

disgusting gym! Canceled my member they charged me with "ABC LIFE HEALTH FITNESS" after disputing and block their account from future charge, they change a different company "LIFE HEALTH FITNESS" and charged again. Bank fraud team has getting involve. Good Luck with that!

They said no contract, month to month charge only. If anything is seeking to kill time and have to call their bank ever month after they cancel they membership no look further this gym will try every single way to charge you monthly!!!

Gym smells like sweat all the time when they have ventilation that rarely turn on to save cost. That ruins the experience. You will have to give them 30 day notice in advance to cancel your membership or they'll charge you for an additional month. Bryan at the front desk is ridiculously loud when he is greeting people in the morning. He'll yell in your years with his deafening "Good morning" when you're so close to scanner to get your membership ID scanned. He calls it high energy but I say he's got problems. He's trying to get his energy out but it's very disturbing to someone who wants some peace in the early morning. That's the main reason I quit this gym.

This is by far one of the best gyms I’ve been too including the Astoria location that closed down. The facility is very clean and well maintained with friendly staff. I joined here mainly because they offer a steam room that you can use after a workout. The bathrooms/showers and locker area is always clean every time I go, so far there has not been any drama to deal with like theft or fights that occurs in LA fitness by New Hyde Park. If you’re looking for a good gym, sophisticated equipment with a nice atmosphere then LHF is the way to go.

this gym is shady. They are listed as accepting united Healthcare Medicare who pays for senior gym coverage as part of their network. when I went into the gym to use it the girl at the front desk said they are accepting no insurances. they stopped end Dec. it's now Feb. and they keep their name on so they can try to sell you a full px membership. I said why don't you remove yr name from participating and she said do we have to call them. alot of people seem upset because we cancelled our accepting their insurance. I def was! the reason I say shady is they tried to sell me a membership once they get you in the door. it's more then a month since they stopped accepting health insurance but they are still listing themselves as accepting.

This was my gym beginning four years ago. I was exceedingly pleased with the hours and services offered. Whatever workout I wanted to do, they had the infrastructure for me to make it happen.

COVID restrictions were an absolute disaster for this place, and they do not seem to have bounced back at all. I have to imagine that involuntarily closing for six months is DEVASTATING to any business, so they have my sympathy if they have to raise prices OR cut corners. But they did both and it's wearing very thin.

If you point out something needing attention, like a clock needing new batteries, or equipment missing, you have one of two options. You can notify the front desk who won't really give you an answer or directly address the issue, or you can submit an online inquiry which will never be answered.

If you're considering joining a gym, absolutely do it. Just shop around first. This gym was certainly worthy of four or even five stars just a few years ago, but not anymore. It's time for me to see what other options are out there. I'm even considering saving my money and just working out at home.

Ones a called the other lady change the prices I advised her that the 1st young lady wrote everything in a piece of paper . I really like it, a little pricey considered they still didnt open the daycare and the classes arent in full swing compared to other gyms. I'd love to go with my wife. Also the hot water has been out for a long time now. going home to shower after a morning workout instead of just leaving to work is an incovenience. The machine are working well, its very clean, and plenty of machines or equipment to use even when its crowded.

It's an ok gym, other gyms in the area (push/nysc) close later on fridays-sundays and charge a lil less though. One thing though, the greek dude who closes many nights is super annoying. Once youre at an hour near closing he starts blasting over the mic, "The gym will be closing in 1 hour, I repeat the gym will be closing in 1 hour." Then he does the same thing again at 30mins, 15mins, 10mins, 5mins and 2mins, repeating twice each time. Can hear him yelling over my headphones with music on, without headphones he kills my vibe & he really needs to chill out tbh, we know how to tell time lmao. Management should find employees who want to work there.

I was billed a sneaky $10 transaction fee on 9/9/21 and management says it was not from them. It was as per my conversation with chase. I have a religious exemption which is in effect as of 10/13 and they’re not refunding me or honoring my last month. I’m also a pay in full for the year customer. Very sad. This is so far the best gym that I've ever been to. The place is big and well-sanitized. They have all types of gym equipment that are working well and the staff members are very accommodating. My sister told me about this gym and I happy to be part here. Their membership fee is very affordable as well. Love this gym. Everything looks and feels so new and clean. The locker rooms are by far the most upscale I've seen for a gym, almost feels like you're in a hotel at first. They have a rowing machine which is great, not many gyms have that. I highly recommend their HIIT class. The instructor is super helpful and helped me moderate some of the workouts as I was just getting back into gym life and didn't want to burn out quickly. So happy I came across this gym it has everything I need, including a steam room, showers, parking, a smoothie bar, and a plus is the health food store right across the street.

My wife and I both joined this gym. Very clean, well maintained equipment, plenty of free weights. Most importantly, they have child care while you are working out. LHF offers a line up of different classes throughout the week, you will find one that's suitable for you. Participated in couple of spin classes, instructors get you pumped up and motivated, hurts a ton right after, but it's a good type of pain. If you want to challenge yourself in spin class, get into King's classes, you probably can't walk straight after your 1st class. They have onsite parking with valet. Each member have a towel card, hand it in at front desk to get a towel and return the towel to get your card back for next time. Locker room in the basement is bright and clean, very modern.

Hands down the best gym I have ever went to. First off, the steam room is amazing after the stair master. Unlike other gyms in the area, this gym is incredible clean and is such an amazing experience. The staff is amazing, super friendly and helpful. First time here today and I am beyond glad I did. Found my new home for fitness!!! Was reluctant to let go of my passport membership with NYSC since I work all over the city but this place is pristine, and offers everything! Can’t be at peace at NYSC whitestone knowing this is right down the block! The best equipment, the class schedule is great (still have to take them) cleanliness is impressive. Plus they have some great amenities coming real soon! Thinking of trying the MMA too! Only negatives is that it is not 24hrs and a pool would be nice. other than that perfection!

They have closed their Astoria Location in July, out of nowhere, no prior announcement what so ever. After trying to reach out to the owner, as I wanted my money refunded I was unable to get a hold of anybody. No responses, no emails, no effort to reach out to clients to resolve the issues. All I am getting is an automatic email response now that I can use the location in White Stone. I am not quite certain how useful it is for me, to spend 90 minutes one way, just to get to the White Stone location. They were very eager to take my money in the first place, and now I am not getting my refund. Watch out before signing up here
