I tried the 1-week unlimited at Lift - Pilates and was instantly hooked. The Pilates classes are truly exceptional, with only four reformers, which makes every session feel personal and deeply supported. Each instructor is so thoughtful and experienced, offering hands-on adjustments, breath cues, and tailored modifications that made me feel seen and encouraged. It’s the first studio where I never once felt rushed or lost, just grounded, strong, and genuinely cared for.
I’ve now taken my second Lift Strength class and I’m equally impressed. Ashley and Corey have created such a motivating, inclusive environment, the kind where you push yourself not out of pressure, but because you feel capable. The programming is smart, challenging, and approachable, with encouragement that meets you exactly where you are.
Between the intimate Pilates sessions and the empowering strength classes, Lift strikes the perfect balance of precision, support, and community. It’s rare to find a studio with so much heart and I’m truly grateful I found it.

I came to Lift when conversations on lack of diversity and the terrible treatment of POC in the pilates space was a big talking point on social media. I’m Latina, so I definitely don’t fit the typical pilates image, and was admittedly nervous coming to my first ever pilates class. After taking a few classes, I realize Lift has such a supportive environment and their main goal is helping you achieve yours. The trainer Meghan has been an absolute delight to work with, even showing how deeply she cared by asking about my injuries and tailoring my workout to better support them. I can’t speak for the other trainers, but my experience so far shows there is no prejudice, only professionalism and care. Thank you Meghan for being a wonderful trainer!

Lift NYC gym is a real gem! I have been working out with Ashley, who customizes her program to inspire and push you to do your best. If you’re looking for a workout that feels more like a personal training experience and less like a factory gym class, I’d definitely recommend checking this place out. It’s a great space to get fit, have fun, and work with someone who truly knows her stuff.

Lift NYC Pilates is a great studio with exceptional instructors, especially Ana. The intimacy of the Lift NYC fitness boutique makes the work out experience feel personalized with focus on proper alignment to prevent injury (key for my health issues). Grateful both studios opened in my neighborhood!

Lift Pilates is a total gem on the Upper West Side.
With only 4 reformers in the studio, every session feels incredibly personalized, focused, and thoughtfully led. The small class size means the instructors are always on top of form, modifications, and keeping you motivated.
The customer service is exceptional everyone is so warm and professional from the moment you walk in. The owner is amazing and truly cares about the client experience. And we love Eleanor! She's knowledgeable, supportive, and brings such great energy to every class.
Lift is the kind of place where you feel seen, supported, and actually excited to work out. Can’t recommend it enough

I've been going to Lift since they opened. Really great boutique training studio, convenient, has all the important weights, equipment, etc. Most important are the trainers, who know your limits, and endeavor to push you to them and then a bit more. If you are looking for a great way to keep in shape, ditch the fancy gym, buy a few small weights for your apartment, and spend your money wisely on quality time with a personal trainer. They make you work harder than you want to! You won't regret it...

I started training with Ashley when I was 6 weeks postpartum with my third child. I hadn’t worked out my whole pregnancy because of severe nausea and complications with the pregnancy. Ashley helped me feel confident getting back into working out. She was super knowledgeable on what were safe exercises and really focused on core work that would strengthen my pelvic floor. After working out with her for over 6 months I am back down to my pre pregnancy weight and feel stronger than ever.
