I’ve been coming to Living Yoga for a year now. Super thankful for Living Yoga. Only wish I’ve discovered the studio sooner! It is the best yoga studio in Queens! Very convenient location right outside of subway station. Clean and comfortable space, assortment of classes for all levels, amazing teachers with variety of teaching styles, and fair cancellations (waitlist) policies! I know I’ve gotten into most of the classes which I was waitlisted because of the cancellation policy.

This review is really 0 stars. I don’t understand how this is a place of peace and harmony yet the most hostile/mean spirited person owns this place. My mom has been coming here for years! I book all of her sessions. She’s off only on Mondays and Tuesdays, and it’s her only time off to enjoy her class. The owner Jamil is very dishonest. He continuously books a class for my mom on a Thursday and when she doesn’t show up because she is working, he charges her card. When my mom asked him about the charges he simply told my mom not to return ever again. He lied saying my mom books these classes, when I ,her eldest daughter, books them for her and I’ve never booked a Thursday class ever. I use to always get the emails confirmation as well and all of a sudden I never receive these emails (sketchy). He’s literally robbing people. His attitude and behavior completely goes against what his business stands for. I’ve also left a review a couple years ago when I personally went and he berated me in front of my classmates before class simply because I made him open the register again to buy water. I am so happy my mom isn’t welcome there anymore cause I wanted her to stop going after that incident. Please be cautious booking at this place or maybe DONT!

I heard of Living Yoga, however it wasn’t until a few months ago I tried my first class. I haven’t been able to attend as I’d like, but the classes that I have attended have been fantastic. I really enjoy the space. It is small, but I find it very comfortable. Front desk staff are welcoming and genuinely pleasant. The instructors are kind and knowledgeable. Whenever I can attend class, I know it’ll be here.
As for the cancellation policies - I’ve seen a lot of reviews with negative comments about it. Many yoga studios implement similar policies. I have an insanely busy schedule between kids, work and school - I’ve missed a class and gotten charged because I forgot to cancel in the appropriate time period, and that was my own fault. These policies are in place so that the studio doesn’t lose money and so that it remains fair to others who want to take the classes. The studio makes this policy very clear in their emails, on their website and when you sign up for a class. If you don’t like the policy, don’t sign up. But if you sign up, you agree to the policy. You can’t then get mad and demand it be changed for you.
Anyway - love the classes, great space, can’t wait to attend more!

Please don’t book any prenatal yoga sessions with Jennifer Pinna at Living Yoga. If you do, do not purchase a package, because you will lose it without any form of accommodation.
My homegirl bought me a 5-week session as a gift for my pregnancy. She initially booked one class for me. I attended and liked it, even though parking was difficult. After I shared my positive experience, she surprised me with a full month of paid sessions.
Unfortunately, my job had already finalized my schedule a month in advance. I called and emailed Jennifer to let her know I wouldn’t be available on Sundays and asked if she had any other available days or weekdays I could make up the sessions. She said no.
I explained my situation, and her response was that my friend should’ve known my schedule before booking with her. I told her it was a gift and that I didn’t even know I’d be scheduled to work Sundays in June. Later, when my supervisor said I could switch to working Saturdays starting in July, I asked Jennifer if I could move the sessions to next month. She said no again.
She didn’t try to work with me at all or offer any flexibility. I ended up losing 5 fully paid sessions. That’s terrible customer service. I would never recommend anyone to Living Yoga. They don’t answer the phone, respond late to messages, offer no accommodations, and make zero effort to reschedule or communicate.
They really just take your money and run. I’m very disappointed—but God is good

The cancellation policy is very strict and not accommodating. I couldn’t get in to the building on my first visit because i pressed 2 instead of the suite no. 201 on the intercom. So i missed the class and was charged for $20. I emailed to explain but the owner didn’t believe me. I was frustrated on how unaccommodating the owner is for a first timer. After few back and forth, the charge was waived but left me a very bad impression. Today someone was struck by a train near 65 St. station. I was stuck on E train for over 45 mins, without network. I tried to text them about missing the class. The moment I got off the train, i called the front desk and explained the situation, she said sorry and instead of charging for $20, she will charge me $10. I was furious on how they run the business on trying to make profit out of cancellation fee for events that are out of my control. She asked me to talk to the owner, i didn’t want to waste my time to repeat the same thing, that’s not much to say more as I sent the service alert on MTA app to them. I should have bought just a single class instead of new members trial. That’s my advice to anyone who wants to check out the studio. Don’t commit to a monthly package until you try it out. Another inconvenient fact is the bathroom is outside of the studio shared with other suites on the same floor. The condition of the bathroom is comparable to those at train station. Originally I want to try a closer studio but i rather spend time traveling back to my usual studios (The Yoga Room and Hotyoga4YouRegoPark) with understanding and accommodating staffs. The hoops they made you jumped through to waive cancellation fee even for the first time is ridiculous as you can see from other reviewers. Not going back.
It’s a convenient excuse to say the cancellation fee is requested by the community and the business owner is getting the profit for charging a class plus cancellation fee. The cancellation fee of $20 is higher than average.

I am new to yoga. I have felt very welcomed at Living Yoga. Everyone I’ve interacted with has been so kind. Special shout-out to Susie and Adam.
I attended Susie’s hot yin yoga. Really enjoyed her class— felt really great after all the deep stretch we did. Thank you Susie!
I also Attended Adam’s hot yoga class twice. I privately informed him that I am new to yoga. He was patient answering my questions. I had a lot of fun and will continue to attend. Thank you Adam!
I highly recommend both hot yin yoga and hot yoga with Susie and Adam.
I can’t wait to take more classes! 😁

I absolutely love this place! I started with the new student membership and shifted to an unlimited membership over a year ago. All classes and teachers are different and all are very good but Merlin's classes have a very special place in my heart. She has a kind energy and a very unique approach to yoga. I have also had the chance to be part of her women circles at the studio and it just feels like home. 100% recommend it!

I learned about this place recently and decided to give it a shot. Warm Vinyasa was my first class and that was, for the most part, great. Not a big fan of inversions (not sure if they are in every class here, but seems like they might be), so I don't do those, but everything else was perfect—not too hard, not too easy.
Today, I took Back to Basics. This class was slower than I'm used to, but it was perfect. Sometimes, I lose my foundations, and this was a good reset. I would probably go to this again, but I wouldn't make it a standard part of my routine. The big thing I've noticed at this studio is that there are no consent cards, which I think there should be. If no cards, instructors should check in at the beginning to see who is okay with being corrected. This is the first place I've been to in the last ten years that doesn't do either (again, to my limited knowledge). Today, I did not see any corrections, but there were some yesterday. For a Basic class, though, there should also be the option of hands-on assists.

🧘🏻♀️Yoga, once a painful practice for me, has become a source of joy and peace. With the right guidance and support, anyone can come to love yoga. I've been fortunate to have my best friend, Sabrina Lekaj, as a yoga instructor. Following her to various studios, I've found Living Yoga to be unmatched in its environment, community, and energy. While I've always enjoyed practicing with Sabrina, I've also started to appreciate classes with other teachers, like Joneil, whose words resonate deeply with me. Living Yoga, nestled in NYC, offers a sanctuary for those seeking calm and comfort in their lives. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enhance their well-being.

I took advantage of their new student membership, and I'm really glad I did! Very convenient location next to the E/F trains and the Forest Hills LIRR. The vibes are 10/10 and the instructors I've gotten a chance to meet so far, Melanie and Anne, are just gems! Melanie's voice is so soothing and her classes are amazing - challenging but relaxing and invigorating all at the same time! I loved Anne's style as well - I felt it the next day, but that's how you know you got a good workout! Their full benefits membership is especially worth it because you get free yoga mat rentals, which is huge for me since I don't want to carry my mat to work in the AM and lug it with me all day.

I started coming here almost 6 months ago after years of doing 26+2 classes on and off at other studios. I’m always nervous to join a new yoga studio, because you never know what the vibe is going to be, if you’ll be judged for your skill level, or pushed to do poses you’re not ready for. The instructors and practitioners at Living Yoga are incredible. This is a studio for all skill levels, all ages, all body types. Everyone is here to lift each other up and practice together. No judgment, no elitism. It’s a safe place to connect with your body and your community. This is the first time I’ve ever had a consistent yoga practice since I started 7 years ago, and it’s really because coming to this studio is the best part of my day!

These people are something, disrespectful . Perhaps because I have an accent and am an immigrant . I missed a class I did not know there was a cancellation fee, my card was lost so I did not realize that my card for continued membership was not working. They made it look like I purposefully did not pay for it and I avoided paying it. Despite my telling them 100 times that I called them every day to understand their cancellation online . They hung up on me stating your membership cancelled! !.
I left the membership to them stating yoga teaches patience and kindness so they can use my 4 more classes towards training other “ elite” students in their class. Then i receive an e mail stating “ don’t set foot in our studio” ungrateful minions . Stay away from these scrums.

Friday Night Remedy with Sabrina Lekaj is my favorite Restorative Yoga class. It is a medicine. I love the art of Yoga that continues to open my practice, my heart, and my life. Sabrina is an amazing woman and a very welcoming and supportive teacher of Yoga. She promotes health and healing and invites us to be observers of our own minds. Yoga Nidra with Sabrina is deeply relaxing and healing as it relieves tension and stress. My Mind is the witness to the relaxation of my body, undergoing relaxation itself. I love this yoga studio!!! I’ve been practicing here for a year now and I am here to sing their praises. The studio itself is run by owner, Joneil, and he takes wonderful care of it. It is always very clean and welcoming.
I joined the studio while still recovering from a very traumatic broken leg injury. At first, I had to modify a lot of my poses due to limited strength and range of motion. The teachers were all very caring, always giving me alternative variations when needed.
If you are looking to be challenged by extremely knowledgeable teachers, this is the place.
I regularly practice with Denise. She is a tough cookie and I love her for it. Her style really resonates with me. She builds her practice with layer after layer of progression. I have gained so much strength, flexibility and endurance because of the way she teaches.
Joneil, the owner, also teaches. His classes are the most fun. It’s nearly always the case that he asks us to do some insane/impossible, pose which initially has me thinking, “that’s impossible!!”. Yet, here I am doing these “impossible” poses. I have never had a teacher challenge me the way that he does. I look forward to every time I take a class with him.
Sabrina, what can I say about her? She is the kindest, sweetest, most caring teacher. Her gentle practice really warms my heart. My soul feels centered after practicing with her.
All, and I do mean ALL of the teachers are exceptional.
If you are in search of a studio, look no further. This studio is top notch.

I love Living Yoga. There are classes and workshops for everyone, from beginners to more advanced practitioners. Classes are throughout the day, so it's quite easy to find a class that fits your schedule.
As well, Joneil, the owner, takes feedback very seriously. I've seen 2 sets of additional classes come to the schedule, in the 5 months I've been coming to the studio. There are also wonderful touches with towel and mat rentals, and lots of ways to stay hygienic in this post COVID world.
However, more than just a great studio, this is a wonderful community. The lobby area is filled with happiness and (quiet) conversation before and after classes. It's a beautiful second home for many, and a wonderful place to practice.

I was invited here by a friend back in March for an aura event. I was excited to attend and booked a space. I commute back and forth to work on the trains and was advised to quarantine due to my job in healthcare. I called the studio to let them know the situation as I wasn’t feeling well and stayed home for the event as my friend has an infant daughter. Joneil explained their policy and I explained the circumstances that prevented my attendance and I had never been there before nor had any additional intention of going there for another event. He refused to refund my money for the event. I suggest if you are only going for an event, don’t go, or register in person. In addition, the rudeness and attitude expressed by the owner is the sole reason I would never want to attend an aura session at this venue in the future.
And they filter Facebook feedback that’s negative. Everytime I post there it says it’s posted to their page, but it posts to my own page.
