Our methods aim to strengthen the core, improve stability and mobility, and encourage mindful movement to enrich all aspects of a healthy lifestyle and overall physicality. A well-guided and well-rounded Pilates practice organically improves posture, and provides the strength and structural stability needed to prevent injuries in athletes as well as in clients with various mobility challenges. I LOVE THIS PILATES STUDIO. it is clean , welcoming , friendly , and a community that will truly change your life. I dragged my feet working out but knew I needed a healthy change and I feel so lucky and grateful to have come across this studio, the amazing instructors and their dogs haha, and the knowledge of physical health , wellness and fitness they share. I come now almost every day. The sign up process is simple, the app is user friendly and the owner Christine is very reachable, friendly, and has really opened up a whole new world for me. Pilates has made so many other aspects of my life easier , even the way I walk and carry groceries. I have recruited multiple friends and family and they now see why I love it so much. The best 50 mins of your day. You owe that to your self! Do not skip on coming here you will never regret it. All of the equipment is there , no need to buy anything extra unless you want , some classes will have you dripping in sweat and some will have you so stretched and relaxed to face the rest of your day. Your choice! It is just so fun for all ages and stages of your life.

My experiences at Long Core Pilates have been delightful. I took a few reformer classes with Christine Longcore and I was very satisfied with her instruction. The equipment is in good shape and the studio is very clean. The two dogs are an absolute bonus!

Christine, owner of Longcore Pilates has absolutely changed my quality of life. I had been going to physical therapy for many years on and off for various medical conditions. Unfortunately my physical conditions are permanent. One day my Physical Therapist advised me that I was going to be discharged, as there was nothing more they could do for me, not to mention that my insurance ran out. With that being said, my therapist recommended that I try Pilates and specifically recommended Christine. Little did I know how that recommendation would change my life.
I have been going to Christine for over a year now and am stronger than I ever was in physical therapy. Her expert knowledge of Pilates, guidance and encouragement have given me the strength and more importantly confidence to lead an active life that I never thought possible again.
My heartfelt suggestion to anyone that is looking to improve themselves not only physically but mentally, call Christine. Pilates through her guidance will change your life!!!

I love Long Core Pilates. I was never a fan of exercising, but this space and all of the instructores changed that for me. Every instructor there is amazing and truly motivates theirs classes, it’s always fun and engaging. I love the patience and corrections made throughout every class, I’ve learned so much about breathing, posture and stretching. I’m so happy I gave Long Core Pilates a try and I plan on staying for a long time!!!

Longcore Pilates has changed my life! Before Pilates I was very uncertain about my future mobility, strength and balance. I have many health challenges and with private classes with Christine Longcore, my future looks better than I could have imagined. I simply cannot live the quality of life I live without Christine!! Her expertise and careful attention to my personal needs is unmeasurable!!
An extra bonus is when you book with Christine Longcore you have the company of her two beautiful Dobermans, Lucy and Tripp. They simply add to the experience with so much love and cuddles if you like. Longcore Pilates is simply a life changing studio!!!

The private Pilates lesson was solid, and the pricing was as expected—Pilates isn’t a budget-friendly exercise class. However, I found it a bit off-putting that I was asked for payment immediately upon arrival, which isn’t typically my experience. I didn’t think much of it at first, given that the website presents a diverse class environment, but I do hope it wasn’t a case of racial profiling.
The instructor did mention the presence of dogs beforehand, but they were Dobermans. While they were friendly, their size and demeanor were intimidating, especially since they roamed freely during the session. One brushed against me, and I froze—it was hard to focus knowing that, with dogs like these, unpredictable behavior is always a possibility. I understand they’re there for protection, but for me, it was too distracting.

I am a BJJ person so I came expecting some fun yoga stretching exercises. I was not aware of how hardcore, Longcore Pilates is. Perhaps, it might be fair to state I did only a handful of yoga classes and zero Pilates. The other class I gravitated to were Maui Thai, Boxing and BJJ.
This is an amazing workout that I recommend to anyone, specially BJJ and wrestling community!! One class and you might become a regular! Which is awesome considering CrossFit prices are like double!!

So I came all the way to the Shaolin temple for double class with Vernize Rios. I traveled from Washington Heights and it was worth it! Great instructor, hands on which was nice and small form class. 6 or less. My home gym is Equinox but this was worth the trip. Restorative Pilates was a bit more challenging then I imagined but just showed me I need to increase my core work. Great class if you can get to it and rather easy on those Sim buses from the city (Sim30). Will be going again.

I’ve been doing Pilates for about twenty years and Christine is my favorite instructor hands down. She is not only knowledgeable but keeps it interesting so I never get bored. Classes are in a group setting yet feels like you’re getting a personalized workout every time. Not discrediting the other instructors either, they are all amazing… I HIGHLY recommend Long Core !! Best workout in Staten Island!!

I cannot say enough great things about Christine, Vee, and this wonderful studio. I’m no stranger to fitness and have pretty much practiced everything under the sun. Finally (thank goodness) we now have a local Pilates studio filled with caring, knowledgeable teachers, a beautiful aesthetic, and a wonderful community focused on helping its members strengthen their practice (and learn some new things too). Definitely give it a try- you will NOT regret it 🙂

This review is for the people who think they can't do pilates! The majority of my spine is fused due to severe scoliosis. I tried pilates more than ten years ago and had a bad experience. I didn't think I'd ever try it again....but the equipment caught my eye through the window in my neighborhood, so I reached out to Christine (the owner) via email. I laid everything out - my limitations, goals, and fears. She was so responsive and helpful. Pilates is for everyone, even me. The reformers actually give me the ability to do a lot of the movements that I was unable to do in the classical mat class all those years ago. I'm so glad I tried it. If you're nervous, definitely send her an email and I would highly recommend doing a few one-on-one sessions first. We were able to explore the equipment together and really figure out what I can and can't do. Now I do fine on my own in the restorative class and even held my own in an equipment circuit class earlier this month! I also want to mention since I've been doing yoga for about ten years that this has been a nice supplement to my practice. I'm looking forward to taking more classes and working with the other instructors at the studio!

Love love this studio. I’ve been going to the studio since February. Definitely I can see the difference from body. I don’t have perfect body but I am more stronger, more energetic and more powerful. So far I took Christine and Kailey’ class. I love both classes.

The BEST pilates instructor I've ever had! Christine is knowledgeable, prepared, has soothing voice, with no choppy transitions between exercises. I've used most of the equipment in the studio, the MAX class is exactly how it sounds, pretty intense and I worked up a good sweat. We were on the reformer this morning and she's very familiar with its operation and always ready to lend a hand if need be. The studio is CLEAN, nice background music, everybody cleans their own equipment after use. I highly recommend Longcore Pilates to everyone from novice to expert!!

I've been going to the studio for a couple of months now and cannot say enough about how positive my experience has been! Christine makes the classes both challenging and fun, and I never have to force myself to go - I would go every day if it was possible. Christine is a phenomenal teacher, and if you're lucky, you will get to meet her dog, Lucy :)

I had very little experience with pilates when I reached out to Longcore Pilates.
Christine, the owner and teacher, was responsive, friendly and very helpful. It was super easy to schedule a class with her.
My first class was fun, personalized and got me back in touch with several muscles I forgot I had. After having four babies in seven years and then spending so much time sitting during remote learning with my little kids over the past 18 months my core had disappeared.
The Pilates classes offered at Longcore Pilates are just what my body needed and needs to get back in touch with my core strength. Christine is knowledgeable, supportive and dedicated. She really makes Longcore Pilates for everybody and every body. She was able to modify exercises to accommodate injuries I have and include personal exercises to support healing. The studio offers a variety of classes and equipment and Christine is always offering ways to challenge yourself.
If you are reading this and thinking about taking a class this, do it! You won’t regret it.

I started going to Long core after I endured a knee injury and couldn't keep up with my normal cardio/HIIT workouts. I was looking for something that was low impact but effective in helping me tone and loose fat. I have to say it was the best decision I have ever made! The mat classes are so much fun and the instructor Christine is absolutely amazing, she is so patient, positive, and educates you through every move. I highly recommend the studio to anyone looking for a fun, effective , mind/body workout.

After COVID and lack of exercise, I was looking for a challenging routine, something to motivate me to get back in shape.
I joined Long Core Pilates and love it! There are several different classes and something that I've never done before....bodhi suspension (4 point ) classes that are amazing, challenging and for all ages!! I'm 61 and just started bodhi. I look forward to my workouts and the new challenges that come with each class.
This studio is a must!
