Really a first class experience here. Staff and trainers are super friendly and everyone is really courteous. I should also mention the gym/locker rooms/etc. are really clean. Don't think, just join!

The locker rooms are incredibly unsanitary, and that is not helped by the white tile floors which show dirt esaily and are incredibly slippery. Many of the soap dispensers in the showers and bathrooms are not properly filled or labelled, and some of them are extremely watered down. I never see anyone cleaning in the locker rooms which need to be mopped multiple times throughout the day. Appearance matters.

The steam room smells like piss, the sauna is never hot enough. they lie about some NYS law which is clearly BS bc I go to three different gyms and this is the coldest sauna by far. Only one jet works in the hot tub. The soap in the shower is extremely watered down. Swimming pool is below the industry standard of 85 degrees. All the water fountains are blinking red for the filter. Unacceptable at this price point. $66 a month

It would be really nice if you guys could clean the locker rooms and steam rooms a bit better. I mean, I can see dirty/muddy water almost every time I visit. On the last visit, the steam also smells bad as well. Is it that hard to throw some Pine-sol and water on the floor and mop it away?

I’ve had such a wonderful experience at the Lourdes Fitness Center, but what truly made it exceptional was working with my personal trainer, Alexis. I trained with her for over two years, starting about six months after I had my daughter. At first, she helped me get back to feeling like my normal self again and then over time she trained me to gain more muscle and be even stronger!

Alexis was the reason I consistently showed up to the gym. We trained weekly in both 30- and 60-minute sessions, and she always knew how to balance motivating me to push harder with recognizing when my body needed a slower pace. Because I’ve dealt with multiple injuries, she often had to adapt my workouts—sometimes acting like a physical therapist as much as a trainer—and she did it with such knowledge and care.

Beyond her expertise, Alexis is simply an amazing person. She made the time we spent together fun, supportive, and inspiring. I looked forward to our sessions not just for the fitness, but for the energy and encouragement she brought. I truly can’t recommend her enough as a personal trainer. The only reason I’m no longer working with her is because I’ve moved—otherwise, I’d still be training with her today.

Lourdes also offers on-site childcare, which was such a game changer for me. Knowing my daughter had a safe, fun place to play with caring staff made it possible for me to show and focus on my workouts.

The pool part is going down the tubes! Fail! Fail! They don't keep the pools and the hot tub clean, the pools and hot tub are always low on water and filthy!!’ The instructors are allowed to be rude to the class! They never let you know classes are cancelled!! I would NOT recommend this place to anyone!!
I am reaching out to UHS to see if they can open a aquatics center!

Have only one gripe to this gym and that is the size as it can be quite crowded at times but it makes up for that with everything else it has to offer. The staff go way above and beyond. Ron and Keenan are two of the most helpful guys I have ever had the pleasure to meet as gym staff goes. Both these guys always make you feel right at home which is why I won’t go anywhere else. Ask for Ron if interested in a new membership and he will definitely take care of you.

I have been a member of this gym for over 2 years and have been meaning to write a review for a while. For the most part, I like the facilities. My biggest gripe is the hours on Saturdays and Sundays. Closing at 7:00 is too early. It should be 10:00 like the days during the week. There are so many people who are members of this gym, so you could definitely afford to remain open those extra 6 hours a week. When I asked about the hours at the front desk, I was told they’ve always been until 7:00 on weekends. I asked her to put a suggestion in to the managers to make the hours longer and her response was “well, we could make it 6:00 instead”. That was a snarky and unprofessional comment to make to a customer who was expressing a concern. Additionally, closing at 7:00 means the aquatics center closes even earlier. Between classes, swimming lessons, and open family swim, that doesn’t give much time for members who just want to come and swim much of an option. I would happily change this to a 5-star review if the weekend hours are extended because I like pretty much everything else about the this facility.

This gym is excellent. If you love working out like I do, this is definitely the place to be. The equipment is very well maintained and varied. Being a business woman and a mom of two that kept the children until they started pre k I never had time to take care of my self. When my second child started pre k in September I walked into Guthrie (Lourdes) to know more about what they had to offer. I felt comfortable right away. I wanted a gym that I would feel comfortable. Guthrie (Lourdes) has such a diverse clientele that I feel at home. I have seen and met such great people that have become my inspiration. Older to younger folks just trying to stay healthy. I had done Physical therapy for diastases, two spots on my back have degenerative arthritis. The pain and stiffness did not improve. I was taking daily medicine for pain on my back. But my journey at Guthrie (Lourdes) has made a difference for me. The personal trainers are amazing helping get it set up with exercises for your needs. I started taking private yoga instruction with Matthew there, and just a few sessions in my back started feeling better. My posture was not correct, and I was making my lower back worse. Just by correcting the posture made a huge difference and from there we have built up on learning new habits for my muscles and postures. A few months in I continue with private instruction with Matthew, and I go to the classes whenever my schedule allows. In addition to the yoga I started working with Joe one of their amazing personal trainers. Both have taken me from pain medication daily to being free of pain. I still wake up stiff here and there, and I know the degeneration won’t reverse. However getting educated about my body and developing and lengthening the muscles that I needed has taken me to a stable place. Physical therapy in my case did absolutely nothing, but the knowledgeable professionals at Guthrie (Lourdes) has transformed my life. I still have a long way to go to reach the goals that I have, but one win at a time. Not dreading a sneeze because of the back pain for me is a major success.
Guthrie (Lourdes) has such an amazing variety of classes. At any given time I can look at their app and jump right into a class. Their staff is always welcoming from front desk to any of the managers. I feel at home and would love for more people to know that it is possible to improve our health by exercising the right way.
My children love going to the swimming pool on Saturdays or Sundays. Specially in the winter when we can’t spend much time outside. We go to the warm pool and 2 hours there is lots of fun.
This is a gym that I absolutely recommend. I am there most days my scheduling permitting. Going to the gym and utilizing any of the services they offer for me is the best investment for my health.

Not impressed with the now 6, going on 7 months to cancel this membership. I was taken out of the area, called, sent a certified letter, and yet, still charged for the month not in the facilities.

Update Edit: Great to show face on here with a “we are doing the right thing,” and proceeds to do the wrong thing. They refunded me on my call to complain not my origin call. Claiming that they now don’t have any notes of me calling in, now them calling out and harassing me at this point. Charged me $300 dollars for a man who already was proactive and called in back in Oct of 2024 to have this squared away— I wanted this post to reflect the lack genuine actions and care for their clients. Not to mention to have their call screened so every time you call in they’re miraculously in a meeting or out of the office. I want the remaining money from the original date in which I called to have this membership canceled before I went into my back surgery.

I have been a member since they have opened and have complained about the cleanliness or lack there of for about 2 months and I even left my number at the front desk so I could give specifics to whomever had the ability to address this...I never got a call and there is such a drastic difference in the upkeep from 2 years ago til now. Women's changing room is gross, pool deck is not maintained . I OFTEN find q tips bandaids and tooth floss pics on the floor in the pool area. My family has been members since the beginning, but recently cancelled our membership. The benefits simply do not out weigh the cost, in our situation. We are experienced gym members who have been members at various gyms throughout our lives in multiple areas.

This gym would be ok in the following circumstances:

1) You have young children that you need to have watched while your working out.
2) You want access to a pool to do laps along with a whirlpool, sauna and steam room.
3) You want to work with a personal trainer or take classes.

If none of those scenarios apply to you, it’s not worth it, in our opinion.

Here are some cons.

1) It’s very pricey for what you get. They tend to act like it’s a luxury gym, which it is absolutely not. Locker rooms tend to be dirty and the gym itself is dirty in general. The outsourced cleaning staff uses antiquated cleaning methods and have extremely low standards. I’ve actually seen dust bunnies blow across the floor like tumbleweeds by the dumbbell area.

2) Machine maintenance is dreadful. Last week, 5 treadmills were down, which is totally unacceptable. When you’re on a tight schedule, waiting around for a treadmill isn’t conducive to getting the proper run in. When you do get one, people lurking around waiting for you to get off isn’t conducive to a great workout either. Water bottle filling stations are regularly out of order as well.

3) The staff, with some exceptions, isn’t friendly at all. With how much you pay to be a member, you’d expect more of a spa level of service with at least eye contact and smiles. Not here. Many of the personal trainers, when they aren’t with clients, excel at sitting in the office on their phones instead of being present on the floor, organizing weight plates (which are always a disaster) or refilling the disinfectant wipes which are regularly out. The desk people aren’t any better. There are a few that greet you when you come in with a smile. Others can’t be bothered to look up from their computer screen or break off a social conversation with a coworker to simply acknowledge a clients presence. This gym does not have a clientele focused culture whatsoever.

4) Operating hours on weekends and holidays are atrocious. If you are a late night exerciser (after 7PM), as I am, weekends are impossible.

5) Due to the nature of the gym clientele, machine usage etiquette is very often poor. With no one on the floor monitoring equipment usage, you’ll have people utilizing 3 machines at once, people conversing while occupying equipment instead of using it for exercise, etc. This is a gym where a large part of the clientele have very little gym membership experience, so their unmanaged lack of gym etiquette aggravates regular, courteous gym goers.

6) Parking is regularly a nightmare. Since the additional places in front he mall opened up, it has gotten way worse. Trekking through the parking lot isn’t fun during peak times, especially during inclement weather.

This place even has an escape puzzle room (aka sauna room), where people pack in shoulder to shoulder to guess why the steam room advertised has been out of order for 2 month and try to brainstorm the real reason behind the different excuses we got from 120 times of complaints altogether. Fun.

The facilities are nice in pictures and the gym floor has everything you need, but the locker rooms and bathrooms feel like a gas station, rather than a top-tier fitness center.

No hand soap or toilet paper in the bathrooms, empty shampoo and body wash dispensers in the showers, and disgusting hairy floors on the floors in the locker room and pool area.

No yoga mats on the gym floor, just tattered small mats that need to be replaced.

Great equipment in the actual though and great staff as well

This gym has been a life saver for us with our toddler. We super appreciate having saunas, open swim and of course the childcare. Many of the childcare staff are amazing. The only things that could make it better would be to turn off the tv in the childcare room and just play music (screentime is terrible for developing minds and eyes), more yoga classes on the weekends, longer childcare options on Sundays and earlier times before work during the weekdays, more open swim times like the Endicott gym and space for socialization/hangout space/eatery within the gym space and maybe some events for parents to connect. But it is the best gym around and one of the few with childcare. We travel from half hour away to get here and it's worth it.

I've had a fantastic experience at this health center so far. I noticed some complaints about the sign-up process, and I felt the same initially. However, once I went through it, I understood why it’s done this way. Ronnie, who helped me sign up, was incredible. He took the time to explain everything about the gym and the entire center, helped me set achievable goals, and got me started with my body scan and initial training session—all included in the membership.

The membership also comes with a lot of perks like fitness classes, great locker rooms, a pool, hot tub, and more all included. I realized that instead of just getting the cost upfront, I appreciated learning about everything the membership covers, which is quite a lot!

After signing up, Edwin, my trainer, was extremely helpful in getting me started on my fitness journey. He is knowledgeable and easy to work with, creating a program tailored to my goals and abilities. Edwin went over every aspect of my routine to ensure I had everything I needed to succeed.

Unlike other gyms I’ve been a part of, where everything extra costs more and you’re left to figure it all out on your own—often not feeling comfortable—this gym provides an incredible amount of support from day one. All of this support has kept me committed and made me feel comfortable at the gym, knowing there are staff members tracking my progress and motivating me to keep going.

Overall, it’s been a wonderful experience—I’m enjoying meeting new people and working towards a healthier lifestyle while feeling comfortable and having fun!

They charge a lot but don’t maintain the place to match the price. When the steam room (which has been broken for weeks) finally gets fixed, the hot tub breaks for weeks. And once the hot tub is fixed, the sauna stops working for who knows how long. Spend your money somewhere you can actually use the amenities.

Up front girl is so nasty. Hit me with a “that’s crazy” in a sarcastic nasty tone and we have to take the tour before getting a quote. I’ll save everyone some time it’s $99 for the sign up fee, about 70 a month and then another maintenance fee after 6 months. The gym is nice and so are the locker rooms but the girl up front specifically is such a turn off. If they employ nasty people like that it makes me not want to go there.

I was terrified of the gym, which is what kept me from Lourdes when they first opened. The anxiety I’d have just going into the gym, let alone working out was stifling. It wasn’t until I finally caved and my brother and I went to check it out. Lourdes made it easy to make an apt to explore the entire facility. We had the pleasure to meet with Ronnie, who is by far one of the most down to earth cool guys they hired. Ronnie showed us around the gym, the pool area, the sauna AND the steam room (yes they have both). It’s ADA friendly, as my brother is in a wheelchair and he felt very comfortable going around the workout area. The initial meeting was very non judgmental and easy to talk through. I signed up same day! I’ve been going for almost 3 weeks now and never once did I feel judged. If I had a question, there were always people to ask. I hands down would recommend Lourdes to anyone new to fitness or someone looking for a new place to go! And go see Ronnie- he makes it fun and less intimidating than other gyms I’ve been to.

My mom was visiting and she hadn't seen the new facility. I asked for a quick tour. The woman behind the desk said to fill out information or she couldn't take us through because she didn't want just anyone walking through. I said I can't afford the membership and she asked how do you know and I replied I'm on a fixed income and I only need the pool. Yes, I know all that information is true. But she said it in a way of pushing us off as if we were not worth her time." It was very rude and even if I could pay and fill out information, I could probably guess she would have made us worth her time. For a suggestion, please prepare them to be polite. Perhaps in the future you could only make the pool available for medical purposes/or just people who need lap swim. I have a lot of disabilities and leg exercises would be appropriate for my medical conditions. I believe the pool should be accessible for all people, regardless of financial income. A sliding scale would be appropriate. Please take my inquiry seriously.

I had a very similar experience to another reviewer. My family went to visit the facility and were told we had to meet with a salesperson to do a tour. The forms they ask you to fill out are SO invasive of one's privacy just to visit a gym--I do not need to tell you a list of the medications I'm on to see a pool. The salesperson was so lackluster and obviously didn't want to be there. The facility is lovely, however so we inquired about family plans. Here you go, folks! The info they won't tell you on their website! They offer a $3 discount for the second person!! HA! It's a $99 joining fee per person for the first two people, then $66 a month for one person and $63 additionally monthly for the second. THEN you are each charged a $35 annual fee that they start charging you 6 months into your membership. I wanted to know about pilates reformer classes and they told me I had to just call a number and ask someone else about that. OOOOOKKKKKK? So I both called and emailed and after 3 attempts I finally got a text from someone who said they could give me a demo class. I asked about how much reformer classes cost. She stated that they wouldn't tell me until I did the demo. I said that this is a pretty bad business model and just wastes everyone's time if the cost is not reasonable to the customer. She basically said "Fine, you can call the manager if you want to set something up." I cannot understand a business that refuses to state their costs. I visited on a Saturday and thought the place was oddly quiet. I'm not surprised any longer--I can't imagine many customers enjoy this sales process, much less the lack of an actual family plan. Very disappointed.

Yesterday, I visited this place around 8:30 PM to inquire about using their swimming facility. The receptionist informed me that I needed to pay for a full membership, but when I asked about the price, they couldn't provide any information. Instead, they told me to speak with a membership counselor, who wasn't available at the time, and suggested I come back the next day.I returned today at 12:30 PM to ask the same question and was told that I needed to talk to a counselor for a tour of the facility. Before that, I had to fill out a five-page form requiring personal information like my address and phone number. This seemed excessive just for a tour, so I asked if I could tour the facility first and then decide on the membership. They insisted that the form had to be completed first. When I requested to speak with a manager and explained that I didn't want to spend 30 minutes filling out a form just for a tour, the manager reiterated that this was the process. Although both the receptionist and the manager were polite, the business logic was frustrating. Expecting potential members to fill out a lengthy form just to see the facility is unreasonable. This is a gym, not a hospital.People want to check out the facility without going through paperwork or an onboarding process first. I was ready to pay for a full membership just to use the swimming pool, but after two visits and no tour, I changed my mind.Additionally, whoever decided not to provide pricing information to potential customers, forcing them to talk to a membership counselor (likely a salesperson), should reconsider this approach. In the age of the Internet, I can easily find this information online. Management should review some marketing principles: the first step of the customer journey should be the easiest, not a mission impossible.

I should start by saying, I have NEVER left a review for anything before, my experience with LHF was bad enough to bring out the ‘Karen’ within haha.
Like everyone has said in reviews, as well as friends that have also canceled their memberships, it’s a run-around trying to cancel. My friend was told by LHF staff “it’s just a really bad time..” when she went in to cancel. Like it was an inconvenience for the staff- not the client that just drove to the facility, and has to wait for an eligible staff to perform the cancellation. Maybe front desk should be trained/certified to do this role as well?
I went in to cancel my membership January 3rd, was told by front desk that there was no one to perform the cancelation, but he would give someone my number and complete cancelation over the phone. I thought, ‘huh, that’s odd, but good for them for making the process easier.’
Just kidding- they never called me back to complete the cancelation. So when I called them and spoke to them today I was basically shamed for believing the front desk staff I spoke to in January. Yes, I was aware you don’t do cancelations over the phone- hence me coming in in person in January…
Seems like I was scammed another 60 bucks by the way they have orchestrated the cancelation process. That’s grimy, and seems like a bad business policy. The whole experience felt like dealing with skeezy car salesmen.
The trainers my partner and I worked with were…not great. Don’t want to be mean, because they seemed young and hopefully the equivalent of kids working a summer job that they are balancing with social lives and school. If that is not the case, then that is just the way they came across. The workout routines could easily be googled- they were not well thought out or custom to meet the clients needs/physical state (which had been one of the hopes in the membership).
First day/trainer apt, my partner’s trainer came in 1 hour late..then quickly rushed him through the workouts so he wouldn’t be late for his next client. So we started out with a really bad vibe. Tried to be positive and keep going. It was really busy when we had availability after work, had to wait for equipment, not much room for non machine exercises.
Would not recommend, I would actually discourage others from signing up, unless you KNOW you are going to stick to it, and do not have to work with staff to have your goals met. I did not take any classes, but they looked neat- so I would say that could be a pro to get your moneys worth also.
I would not expect LHF to work on changing poor policies, I think they make enough money from experienced workout clients that don’t need them, and from the signing up and cancelation process of folks trying out their facility. So this is just an honest review for prospective clients to be aware of.

The Lourdes Fitness Center not only cares about the well being of your health but they take the time to learn what works for you, your body, and your schedule! All employees I have encountered are professional and kind. I recommend the use of this facility to anyone looking to better their health journey. Well worth it!

The facility is awesome. Having free childcare is every mom's dream. Family swim on Sat and Sun is great and a mad house! All the hardware is well maintained. Just remember to byot(towels).

The facility and the childcare would have been 5 stars. What made it lower was the obscure way they tried to price everything. We'd heard about it for a long time but didn't make any move, because the website didn't indicate any price. (Just like our healthcare system. We don't know the cost of anything until we are billed) We finally checked after receiving a brochure claiming $0 initial fee. The brochure also said no hidden fees, etc.

So, I emailed them about my interest in the membership and liked to know the price. In return, there was no fee mentioned but an offer to set up an appt or a call to discuss.

Since there was no way to know pricing before going, I paid a visit. N gave me a tour and asked me a bunch of questions. He said although Lourdes owns this, the company that runs the center is Fitness & Wellness Professional in NJ. They told me for the first member, it's about $66/month. The second person would be $63/month. There is an enrollment fee of $99/person. I told him about the brochure stating $0 initiation fee and N's response was, "oh, there is 0 initiation but an ENROLLMENT fee". (Do I look like someone that doesn't understand English?) So, I asked N to define the word, initiation. Now, he gave in and said it was a printing mistake the company made. I kept asking if there was any way to honor that. He then said if I could show him the brochure, he would honor it. So, my family took a photo and txt it to me. I showed him that and he said he needed to see the address, too. So, another picture to meet his request. And then, he was reading a txt. After he turned back, N said, the enrollment fee was waived, but there was the admin fee of $30. Now my family wanted to have a word with N. (Remember the "no hidden fee" in the brochure?) I put N on the phone. He had a very hard time defining what initiation meant. N didn't give in, tho. In addition to the Admin fee, there's also a maintenance fee that will kick in half a year later and will recur annually. So, the cost becomes 66+(30/12) per month plus 30 admin fee

I gave in. N was shaking when he was typing. I didn't try harder, because I sympathized with N. He probably got instructed and yelled at by his boss and the customers so many times already. I do like the facility and the equipment. The salt water pools and sauna and childcare are worth it for me.

They also let members put 6 friends on the guest list. Members can bring them in 3 times a year. And each visit needs to be at least 3 months apart. When one of my guests signs up, I will get a month free.

For what the management company put me through, I have no passion to encourage anyone to join.

To cancel, they need a 30 day notice. To have a printed statement mailed for you somewhere, it's $5 per mail.

The gym is on the small side for the amount of members it's trying to take. On the family swim day, the pool is just packed. Prepare to get kicked and splashed by random kids from any direction.

During my work out time(10am to 12pm), I could hardly find a place to do floor stretches without worrying about being stepped on.

Most lessons are free to members on a first come first serve basis. One fancy Pilates class needs registration and an extra fee (I didn't bother to find out)

I think the management company needs to figure out which group of customers is their focus. Now it seems like they just want to start making money and they just take as many enrollments as they can without figuring out a better system to manage the flow of people. This will hurt the business very soon.

We joined very early on when this gym opened, and at first it seemed great. As a couple it was pretty expensive but thought it would be worth it for what we got. However, it seems they have sold too many memberships for what their gym facility can handle. We ended up going and not being able to use the equipment we needed - multiple times I couldn't even get on a treadmill. When we tried to cancel it was apparently too late and we had to pay for another month. It's very unfortunate that they didn't adequately plan this gym to accommodate for our community - must've thought that not enough people in Binghamton were down to pay $60+ a month for a gym.

Expensive. Rude staff. Need to pay $65 to cancel. $55 monthly is the “employee discount”. Front desk is a bunch of college Students just goofing off. Can only bring a guest 3 TIMES A YEAR! For what I pay I should be able to bring someone anytime I want. Not a 24/hr facility. Going back to planet fitness where I don’t need to worry about any of these things at $10 for a black card.

Very nice gym, everything you’d ever want. A few issues though.

One being sort of obvious. It can get very crowded in the gym area. Try to go on less popular times otherwise you’ll get pretty annoyed with the crowds

The second issue I have is that they close at 7 on Saturday and Sunday. That’s extremely early and so so annoying lol. 7pm on the weekends is way too early to close for a gym, I mean come on. Show some respect for people who work weekends especially when you’re paying $60+ a month…

It is always clean and has every option from machines and weights, as well as a pool, hot tub, sauna, and a trainer that comes with your membership. Very nice facility and would have given a better rating if it wasn't for the experience. Depending on your timing be prepared to wait extended periods of time for machines etc. The process is drawn out and cumbersome to do anything at this place. After the decision to leave Lourdes it was a disaster. You cannot cancel over the phone and either need to write a letter or go in person. Upon going to the facility in person they required me to sit down with one of their sales representative to cancel the membership which is just another hurdle to jump over and have to tell someone face to face you still don't want the membership after trying to be sold to stay.

My friend invited me to go with her as a guest, 3 months ago,vto check out the pool. I loved it! 2 pools and a Jacuzzi, and the lighting was awesome also! I asked her what she paid, and was amazed how affordable it was. I knew then that I was going to join. Also, impressed how super clean it is! Went 2 more times, and just joined. Super excited! My plans are to use the pool, still haven't checked out the exercise equipment , but I'm sure it is also amazing. Highly recommend! Also, first time I have ever joined a fitness center/ gym, in my life!

I'll start off with the pros:
-The gym always looks clean
-The staff are very nice
-The classes are fun
-They offer a lot of equipment and resources that you can't find at other gyms
-Their facilities offer better accessibility for mobility-impaired patrons than I have ever seen at another gym
-Between the location and the price point, it's less accessible for college-aged students, so you're not gonna get crowded out by a bunch of 19-year-old gym bros like I was at Planet Fitness.

Now for the cons:
-It's undeniably expensive- $100 sign-up, $63 a month, and $35 bi-yearly fee. Way more than you're going to see at any other gym in the area.
-They absolutely will not keep their promises regarding how often you'll be able to see one of the on-staff nurses or meet with a personal trainer. I have been a member since before the gym opened and I've never had a meeting with one of the nurses, despite being put on a waiting list over a year ago. I saw my personal trainer about once every three to four months, but I think she left the job. Nobody followed up with me about her leaving or finding a new trainer, and the last time I saw someone was in January.
-There's bias in the language used by personal trainers regarding body size - not everyone's goal is to lose weight and be smaller. The use of BMI in conversations about fitness was really disappointing - it's been well-documented as total junk science for years, and yet they're telling me it's an important metric in understanding my health?
-There's some cutting corners on costs that are easily visible, for example, the floor in the second studio looks like a hardwood, but the warping and bubbling that flex under your feet makes it obvious that it's incorrectly-laid laminate.
-Machine repairs can take a long time, so if something that you've been using is out of order, it might be months before it's fixed.
-I don't think the facility was built to accommodate the number of memberships they sold. During peak hours, the locker rooms are basically elbow-to-elbow, and you may be doing a lot of waiting for the machines you want.
-The prone leg curl is positioned in a weird place on the floor plan, and the number of time I've had a man "rest" for long periods of time on the lat machine directly behind it while I'm trying to use it is seriously uncomfortable. My friends and I have mentioned this concern to trainers but the machine is in the same place as it was before.

I continue to pay the membership costs because I've tried other options in town and had more significant issues with them than this gym, and I'd recommend the gym to a friend on the condition that they feel they can afford it and are willing to deal with it being a lot less glamorous than it makes itself seem.

I was interested in your gym but am put off by your scammy sales tactics.

Why do you NOT post your membership prices upfront with every option available in each membership option?

Other gyms post upfront what their costs are, insurance reimbursement options, class schedules, classes offered, and pool schedules.

Not posting your prices upfront is a scammy sales tactic and it’s off putting.

People are smart and do their research, shop around, and want to see ALL upfront costs and fees before joining. We don’t have time to go sit down and listen to a sales pitch. People are so over that.

If people like your gym, what you offer, and can afford it, they will join; if not they will go somewhere else. It’s that simple.

You don’t need to hide your prices and use scammy sales tactics to gain clients. In fact, it turns people off and makes them go to another gym that is open and upfront on their website from the start.

Overpriced!
$100 initial sign up fee. $66 per month. $35 fee every 6 months. Yes the gym is mostly nice and new however this does not justify the price. Classes are not included in the membership fee which I find pointless, considering the price. The actual gym space has plenty of machines but little free space if you’d like to stretch or use free weights. There are two studios used for classes which I was told upon sign up that were available to use if no classes were being held, but was kicked out of Studio 2 because the trainers could not see me. 16 free training sessions with a trainer that showed me the machines and then left, never followed up with me weeks later like I was told. Locker room, pools, and sauna are nice but I don’t think the space is equipped to accommodate all the people at its busiest times. Have to go in person to cancel your membership or mail a certified letter. I wouldn’t mind a pricy membership if the actual facility had more to offer in terms of space and activities.

So I'd like to have given 3 stars, but the runaround I was given for cancelation changed my mind. They did not inform me previously that when you cancel, you are billed for the next 30 days, no matter what. They also don't let you freeze the membership the month before you cancel, therefore only paying the $10. You have to pay the full membership price. I was also told by the person that there was no one above her that I could speak to about my concens, even when I pressed several times. So don't expect any concerns to be heard. Thoroughly disgusted right now.

I have been a member since they opened. I have never gone to a gym really, I’ve been to some and they just weren’t for me! I absolutely love Lourdes Health & Fitness! I have gone several times a week, consistently which is a surprise to me that I’m so dedicated to going. I had back surgery and foot surgery, which resulted in my gaining weight because I can’t love like I should and desperately needed to strengthen myself. Lourdes offers that to me, I’ve learned stretching and strengthening and I’ve worked with a trainer. All classes are every level of fitness, move at your pace. I have found no judgement here, everyone is there to better themselves, regardless of age, size, or capability. It’s clean there. I like that we provide our own locks so there’s no threat of someone saying somethings missing. The therapy pool is wonderful, for those trying to exercise but can’t do the machines. Overall, it may seem costly to some but I do not think it is, considering everything that’s available with the membership. I guess it’s what you want to spend money on! For me, it’s a no brainer, I love this place!!!! Nothing but good experiences there and I make the most of my membership!

The equipment floor is fantastic I can walk along volcanic craters in Hawaii or the cost of Patagonia! The aqua classes are the best. Sue and Emily are amazing! The locker rooms are clean and large enough for everyone. The showers are amazing! Reading the very few negative reviews... I have two beach towels I take and I wash them. Mostly great, but a few things could be improved. There is a "family/all gender changing area" with some private stalls, but it would be better if there were a few more hooks in each bathroom stall so they could also be used for changing as currently, there's not much space to keep your things off the wet floor while in there. I attempted a shower today, and while it's nice that they provide shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel, the bench I pulled down from the wall was visibly dirty and covered with someone else's hair, and the water pressure was barely a sprinkle so not going to be usable for me. There is a locker room attendant, but today she was sitting on the changing bench playing on her phone. It's weird having her sitting there doing nothing while people are changing their clothes. Attend to something, or leave the room!

I understand that there is a child care center on the premises, but I didn't expect to see young children in the women's locker room and using the bathroom stalls. It's my understanding that children under 14 cannot join the gym, so I was surprised to see them in the changing area and to be competing with them for bathroom stalls. I feel like guardians should be changing before they pick up the kiddos from the child care center, not dragging them into the locker room to stand around while other adults are changing in the open. Maybe some people aren't bothered by this, but I am.

Be aware that private swim lessons may take place at any time in the therapy pool while others occupy it, so you may find yourself trying to navigate around a splashing child practicing laps there. The one small wall clock in the pool area is an hour behind, not sure why.

There are also rules for what attire is allowed in the pool area. Today, I witnessed a tense exchange when a very angry member had to be asked to leave the pool area by two different staff who politely informed her that cut off shorts are not permitted in the pool, so be forewarned.

Some of the machines had "out of order" signs on them today, and I have been unable to connect my phone via Bluetooth to any of the machines I've tried which recognize my Samsung phone but say "cannot connect due to network issues" or something like that. Another machine said the same thing when I attempted to create a user account. I am still waiting for my 2nd appt with the trainer to get my customized workout plan. A staff member at the front desk told me they are still trying to hire enough trainers to handle 4,000 members. Expect to wait several weeks to get your 3 initial appointments (1 nursing and 2 trainer) completed. Hopefully these things will be worked out sooner than later.

This facility is an amazing addition to our area and especially the mall which I hope continues to be revitalized. The child care and cafe are a plus.

First week impression:
Very satisfied with the facility especially the new equipment and pool area. It’s the first week… so little kinks I assume will be worked out. No major complaints. As expected with a grand opening it is currently a bit crowded at certain times. Like when the New Year’s resolution people show up for a few weeks…It will most likely quiet down after the initial hype. Very grateful that it’s finally open!

Im hoping the amenities I was told about become available. The gym itself is great! The equipment is fantastic, the staff is great. But the Fit kids program isn't active yet, this was my selling point, keeping my 8 year old son moving and healthy is very important, but he was just stuck in a daycare room, he was excited to "get pumped" his words. Towels are apparently not provided, so my pool goal was shot down today, I was told there be towels. And its a VERY limited window to take your kid(s) to the pool with you, and even if you don't care about any of that the child care room is only open half the time. What am I paying for exactly? If these things don't change, I'll be canceling soon. If they do, then it's amazing.

Went there on opening day. Showers had zero water pressure. They definitely use chlorine in the pool, and yep like other reviewers, there's no towel service which is a major bummer. Also for a new facility they could've opted for a locker room that has a build in electronic locks instead of having to bring your own lock. The first sign in process was very disorderly, it shouldn't be that complicated.

Excited to start going to this gym as it's the only decent gym within the Ithaca - Binghamton area. Bummed as well that there is no towel service for the price. I've been to ACAC in Virginia and the Atlantic Club in NJ and hope this does compare, though they offered FT childcare, towel service and free wifi to work as well as a food court. Also hope that childcare is every day, not just weekends. I was also told that the gym would open May 16th and paying in advance would give me 1/2 month for free, but that's really not the case now that they're opening on May 25th, right before the holiday weekend. Will update my review once they add more classes as well, I was also told there would be yin yoga and relaxation type yoga classes every day, not just on weekends as the current schedule shows. Sounds like the sales team lied to a lot of people to get them to sign up and get their commissions. I'm hopeful the gym will be great, but there's definitely been a lot of dishonesty so far from the sales team.

Really wanted to join here with a friend. I am grateful my friend took the time to meet with them since they hid their prices in the flyers. And no wonder! They try to urge you into this so called great deal that is still insanely expensive. $65 a month discount with $120 fee. Meanwhile our employee badges get us a $30 rate at court jester with no fees. Sure Court Jester isn't new and pretty, but with the money saved we could go fly to Florida.

My friend even offered them a chance of negotiating the price down even a little (because we agreed same price isn't fair since Lourdes would be newer). And still they said no. And that we are pretty much lucky to get $65 deal since it will go up to $100 a month. Lol, lucky who?We will take our business to Court Jester.

First off let me say how extremely friendly and helpful everyone was when I went in. Everyone was Very professional, kind and understanding with my needs and wants. Specifically the young woman who I had an appointment with maureen. She is extremely informative and passionate about her work and I feel wants to see everyone who comes in absolutely crush their health and fitness goals. I swear she should be managing the entire program.

Unlike the other person "reviewing" this fitness center, I actually went there and received a tour from Mark Powell. There was absolutely zero pressure to do anything. No sales pitch, no gimmicks, no smoke and mirrors. Mark walked us thru at our own, relaxed pace and simply explained every aspect of this state of the art fitness center. He answered all our questions, including pricing and also explained how our health insurance would likely cover most of that cost as part of their wellness efforts. The tour was less than 30 minutes and afforded us a detailed view of what services will be offered and the layout of the center. They will have a large amount of trained staff to help with everything from getting familiar with the equipment to personal physical assessments which will help you track your progress. They will have certified trainers and nurses on site for your assistance every day. This place is going to be the only truly comprehensive fitness center in the area. You'd be wise to sign up now before they hit their membership limit.

Opening spring 2022. This means my review is not based on the actual facility but rather my interaction with staff when calling and personal opinion about it. I received a flyer in the mail for the health and fitness center. On the flyer I noticed they had/will have a pool and decided to check it out online. After checking out the website I discovered they will actually have multiple pools and several swim classes. The swim classes and swim team seem like they would be very good for someone who has a child in swim but school does not offer off season swim programs. Although we are not really gym people I decided to call to get more info on pricing, if your interested save yourself a call they won't give you any info over the phone. That's right, they told all about how big the gym is and all the bells and whistles but refused to give me even a ball park range on pricing stating that there's so much that goes into it that they only discuss it in person. The gentleman gave me his name and tried to set me up for an appointment but I said I would do a walk in (if I decide to). He told me to ask for him and that he would set me up with a great price. It felt like a car sales pitch, and that they may very well get commission for each person they sign up. The gym / health and fitness center maybe wonderful but they are pretty pushy with their sign ups and I would venture to guess probably very pricey. If you are interested in pricing they are currently set up inside the mall for people to get more info. The gym will be located where the old Sears was in the Oakdale , which is a good location with easy on / off to the highway and pretty centrally located.
