My husband has been to this location 3 times this week and has came home everyday with such a great experience!!! He likes the instructors and how they keep him engaged, facility is clean, state of the art equipment and to top it off a sauna for after your workout. My husband Glenn got to speak with Racheal to sign up and she was not only helpful and pleasant but such a genuine woman! I look forward to coming and being a part of the fun as soon as I’m all healed up from surgery!! If you are looking for a personal gym with great people and atmosphere join here!!!

I saw this ad for 3 kids' boxing classes for $19.99, plus free gloves, which is a steal. I asked my daughter if she'd like to try it out, and after 2 of the 3 classes, she decided she wanted to sign up. So far, I'm extremely pleased with the coaches and their business practices. They worked with me on the finances, and you don't have to commit to coming on the same day of the week. You can switch up your days and even make up a missed class, which is a breath of fresh air compared to many other after-school activities and sports for kids. My goal with these boxing classes is to help build my daughter's confidence and give her the tools to defend herself if she ever has to. From the couple of classes we've attended I think that goal will be reached.

One of the best decisions i made for myself was joining kick boxing but not just any regular boxing place. Specially this one. The owner Rachel is such a sweetheart and takes care of all your needs and wants! She works with you in every area and takes her time with you! As a returning student, I have to say that the quality of this facility is amazing. My journey here began ever since in high school, and the progress I've made has been remarkable. The atmosphere is phenomenal. The instructors are not only excellent but also highly knowledgeable, pushing you to your limits and you can definitely see noticeable progress. Mrs. Rachel have this warm welcoming spirit when I first introduced myself. She broke it down very professionally from the beginning to the end of the lyfe boxing lifestyle. The area is large enough for a handful of people. Nobody on top of each other or in the way when you're throwing punches and kicks. The class looked intense and fun. Love the choices of tunes playing in the background. If anyone is reading this and is looking to get in shape or wanna improve your health all around. I recommend you to come try out Lyfe Boxing. Wow I love Lyfe Boxing already! This is my first session with them and Rachel has been so welcoming and encouraging. It’s my first time doing kickboxing and Rachel took her time explaining all the important steps and moves to me. She was very motivating and encouraging and didn’t make me feel out of place even though I was clueless. If you’re into kickboxing or trying it out for the first time this place is perfect for everyone I would definitely recommend coming to Lyfe Boxing at the Midland location in Staten Island! Try hard fitness is a great establishment. Inclusive to all fitness levels in a welcoming group setting. I had the opportunity to teach classes at this gym so I know first hand the amount of thought that is put into each session. The owner is really kind and genuine. She offers her help and advice both on and off the gym. She'll never push you to do something solely for money like most places/people do. Instead, she'll offer her advice and tell you what your best options are and work with you to achieve the best results. Sure you can train at any gym but it's having a good leader that allows you to run past your goals. Too bad Google only offer 5 stars because I'd give her a 20/10.

I met her many years at her gym on Hylan Blvd. She is not only professional but she is personable, supportive and a role model. Rachel will push you to be the best person you can be and will assist you on any level. She is great at modifying her training based upon her clients abilities. Her work outs are fun, creative and MAKE YOU SWEAT. After every workout, I feel great which makes me want to come back to her everyday. I tried so many gyms but never ever felt the support the way I do from Rachel. Once I found Rachel many years ago, I stuck with her in every location she moved to.
Not only is Rachel a great trainer, she is also a phenomenal human being. When she found out that my father needed a heart transplant, she held a fundraiser to help support the costs that his insurance did not cover. She completely did this on her own and I was truly touched. Having met Rachel and joining her gym not only helped me with my fitness but also gave me a special person in my life. I will forever be greatly for Rachel and Try Hard Fitness!

I’ve trained with Coach Rachel a few times in my past. She introduced me to the martial arts world. Her workouts are great, and focus so much on technique rather than how many push ups, or mountain climbers,

This was my first time experiencing cyro fat freezing so I didn't know what to expect. All I can say is I am now HOOKED. I bought 3 sessions and when I started my waist measured at 38.25 and ended at 35.125! Rachel, the owner, is extremely friendly, informative and accommodating. The gym and cyro room are extremely clean and well maintained. There is plenty of parking for the location being on Staten Island. I have recommended cyro fat freezing at Try Hard to many friends and co-workers! The results are honestly impressive and the pricing for cyro freezing at Try Hard is unmatched!

Five stars isn’t enough to give Rachel! I’ve been to a few personal trainers and Rachel is by far the best. She helps you reach your fitness goals with dedication, heart, compassion, and a strong will. I have done plenty of her 5 AM challenges and also have trained one on one with her. Any time I have walked out of one of her classes I automatically felt better than I had walked in. She truly cares about each and every one of her clients and treats everyone with the utmost respect. In addition, the Body Sculpting and Cardio Barre classes encourage muscle confusion by engaging aerobic and interval strength training. Rachael Norman knows how to tailor each class to be challenging for all levels and motivates each individual to achieve their personal best. I can't say enough good things about Coach Rachel , and the classes and environment at Try Hard Fitness! I have Spina Bifida , and i am a full time wheelchair user and Rachel has not only welcomed me with open arms into her gym but showed me all the things i could do , never in a million years did i think i would be able to take Cardio Kick Boxing classes with others with out disabilities , and now its part of my weekly routine , she welcomes ALL Walks of Life and will give a Killer work out to anyone , able bodied or disabled , trust me you will break a sweat! I have not only done classes but personal training with Rachel and let me tell you its worth it! she truly cares about her clients and learns there body and will push you with encouragement ! You won't be sorry , try one class like i did and you will become addicted!

Try hard fitness has truly changed my life! This has been the one place where I felt the most comfortable and the most motivated to keep coming back. I absolutely love being apart of Try Hard Fitness. I am a disabled woman who is fighting to walk again. Rachel has been such a huge blessing in my life. She goes above and beyond to accommodate my needs, and has never said the word “No” to me. She believes in me and I am so grateful to have her as my trainer. Just WOW! I can’t tell you how amazing today’s workout was. Came across Try Hard Fitness through ClassPass and decided to give it a shot with the kickboxing class. Unfortunately, they no longer participate in ClassPass however, Rachel honored it and welcomed us in. Rachel is a fun and motivating fitness instructor, by far one of the best I’ve come across. She is aware of everyone’s skill level and encourages you to go at your own pace and not to give up, as well as teach you the correct form. What made the experience even more special was that Rachel took the time to welcome newcomers to the rest of the group who have been with her for years, months even weeks. I’m super excited to have found such a gem like Try Hard Fitness on Staten Island. I’ve never really enjoyed working out but after today, that may change. Wow. The best workout class I've taken.
I have been using classpass but Try Hard Fitness is no longer part of it but Rachel is great, and she let us stay.
I have to say, this is the BEST workout class I've taken.
This is whole body workout! And it's so much fun with Rachel and being newcomers, everyone is super friendly.
Rachel was very welcoming and encouraging. She knows everyone by name and it feels much more intimate and personalized. She checks on everyone to make sure you have the proper form and motivates you to keep going.
I am contemplating on leaving classpass and just joining her. 🙌

She is extremely caring and motivating. She learns your capabilities, understands your body and pushes you to your limit.
