I cannot recommend this place enough, my 10 year old started a few months ago and after trying multiple different sports over the years we found something she loves. The instructors really do make the difference, they are engaged, and the group classes are broken up based on what the student needs to move up. It’s an amazing environment with lots of class options to fit different schedules. They take the time to get to know not only the student but their parents/caregivers as well.

We are so happy we were introduced to Master McDowell's World Class Taekwondo. All of the instructors are truly amazing! Each one of them are knowledgeable, motivating, and patient. Masters McDowell go above and beyond to create such a warm family friendly environment that supports each students personal best. My kids have been going here for probably a year and a half and are blue belt. Came in undisciplined a.d.d ridden and I thought it wouldn’t work. They treat my kids as they would their own and it’s all a big family. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to get children involved in productive positive activities.

My wife, kids, and I absolutely love this place! The professional yet inviting family atmosphere is so great! I have 5 children and they all do the classes. Whether it is the kids, only, adults only or family classes, the instructors and staff BRING IT! The other students here also make a huge difference compared to all of the other sports that we have participated in. My whole family loves this place! I have a large family with kids from 17-4 and they have been very accommodating to not only make this affordable but fun for all of us. The instructors are so friendly and encouraging but also expect us to try our best. We also appreciate that we can bring our kids to kids only classes, my husband and I can go to adult classes OR we can all attend together as a family (or all of the above since there is no limit to the amount of classes you can attend). The instructors as well as other students just create a fun and great environment to practice and grow. Would recommend to anyone. Very world class!

It is a family friendly martial arts place. Owners and teachers are great and helpful. Lots of activities including BBQs, outside activities. The latest was a donation activity for the children's hospital.
I recommend for younger ages to join the center. They don't teach full contact portion and not competitive. If you want to learn more agressive and contact version, it is not a place in which you are looking. Candidates learn more about techniques and styles.

This place is awesome. The instructors are all super friendly, and skilled in both martial arts and instruction techniques. I’ve got multiple kids in lessons and I’ve taken a couple lessons myself. Just a wonderful place for kids. Exceedingly well run, and by folks who actually care about kids and obviously love what they do. My kids look forward to going each and every week. Our son Riley has had an amazing experience and I recommend this dojang (and community!) heartily. Riley has been motivated to practice and progress for 5 years without a single nag and I credit the supportive and fun environment and teachers for this. He is so proud of his accomplishments and owns them. There is a place for all students there, and the more experienced folks truly help others. My 14 yo and 5 yo both love the classes they take at Master McDowell’s TKD school. The black belt 14 yo love’s teaching and working with younger students as well. The opportunities outside of taking classes is wonderful as well! So many special events and community focused activities. Master McDowell’s World Class Taekwondo is an amazing establishment. My 9 year started in April through his elementary school and now my husband and 5 year old have also joined. It is a great family activity that allows my husband to spend time with his kids. This is not a gym, it’s a family of people that encourages and trains each person to do their best. You aren’t expected to break a brick with your forehead, but whatever goal you want to achieve, they will help you achieve it. Not sure if it’s right for you? Talk to any of them. The range of experiences is amazing and the stories of TKD helping in physical, mental and social life abounds! I have a crushed T11 vertebrae drs said would eventually become arthritic and I’d have back trouble for the rest of my life. 17 years later my back is strong and flexible and I owe it not only to TKD, but the incredible people that make it such a welcoming place!
