Give yourself the gift of healing and join a session with Shanti at her Metta Tree Yoga home studio. From the second you walk through the door you feel the comfort, peace and safety of the environment. The restorative yoga session I attended was just what I needed. The poses that Shanti gently assisted with prompted my body to settle, release and open. Yoga Nidra and poetry kept my mind focused and peaceful. The soft healing sounds of the crystal bowls and the harmonium also brought in a beautiful dimension to deepen my wonderful experience. I look forward to my next session.

I’ve been a part of Shanti’s restorative and yoga nidra class for almost a year. What a gift it is to be able to have this practice - we always leave feeling better than when we arrive…more connected, rested, and held…its highly recommended.
To start, class drops into initial connection
with a short reading and chant (w/ music from Shanti’s harmonium) followed by a series of restorative poses that fit your individual needs. Shanti adds to the experience with blankets, small weighted pillows/bags, and singing bowls which all create the sense of immersion, comfort, and safety. The class ends with a restful guided meditation for Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) which allows for deep rest. Benefits of this practice are Immediate. You will feel connected, de stressed, cared for, and ultimately grateful for taking the time to do something so healing. M

Sessions with Shanti Ma are a gift. I feel more grounded and spacious in my body every time I receive a yoga therapy session with her. The environment that she creates through her compassion is calming, gracious, and nurturing. She provides a safe harbor for connecting with oneself and gives permission to me as the client to be wherever I am so that I can rest deeply and feel held. Through our sessions, the anxiety I experience has decreased and my mind feels clearer. She can traverse a wide variety of needs and cares deeply about providing the therapies that are most relevant to me on the day of our sessions. I highly recommend working with her if you wish to feel safer in your body, at home in yourself, and connected to the healing forces within your own essence.

I have been seeing Shanti Ma one-on-one for a few months now. I feel completely safe and vulnerable with her and am able to really get what I need with the space she holds. I am so thankful to have found such a genuine and caring practitioner to facilitate my yoga therapy needs.

Shanti's combination of restorative yoga and instruction on home exercise have helped me with lower back and cervical pain as well to control the hypermobility that leads to recurrence of the pain. And this is to say nothing of how restorative yoga helps me reset emotions when they overtake me. Shanti has a quiet manner that helps keep me comfortable even when positioning is awkward or unfamiliar. Also, the front of her studio has a wheelchair ramp that aids accessibility when my pain makes it difficult to step up conventional steps. I have a great experience at Metta Tree with concrete results in terms of pain management, and the calming of the mind that comes with it is its own benefit. Helps keep me out of the chiropractors office cost-effectively.
