I can’t say enough good things about this gym. For one, every single staff member has been pleasant and helpful . In the beginning you get calls and texts with a lot of support and encouragement. The workouts are always a little different which keeps it exciting. However it’s the same structure you can count on and feel like you are progressing. I personally think the app is my favorite part. The app tracts the days you workout and the days you scheduled it but missed. That not only keeps you accountable but you have the ability to look back at how many days you have worked out. Lots of different instructors you can choose from, and I enjoyed everyone. The price isn’t cheap but when you think of it in terms of the training you are getting, the quality of workouts, and the amount of times you can go I think it’s worth it . Lastly, all the fist bumps and good jobs really do add to the experience.

Love this place! When I leave I feel like I can do ANYTHING, it's so empowering! And their easy app helps you hold yourself accountable because you sign up in advance which is what I definitely need! All sorts of class options too, and all ages and body types. I’m 55 and my Coaches Sav, Ryan, Christine, Liz, and Ali are so encouraging. Music pumping, Coaches pushing you, Paige and Jason greeting you, all of it is just so cool. It’s my favorite part of my day!

Not only does Orange Theory work, it'll easily become one of your favorite parts of the day. I never thought I'd look forward to going to the gym. Sav, Paige, Jason, Liz, Allie, and Ryan make it worth it. They make it a point to get to know all of the members, ask about your fitness goals, modifications, encourage and motivate you. Dropped in for a week while in town. Gym was clean, staff welcoming and there was plenty of room to operate. I took classes from Ariyana twice and TJ, they were both phenomenal coaches. Really enjoyed my week as a guest member. If I lived in the area I would certainly join.

I love the Orangetheory Fitness (OTF) location in Albany. I've been going to this gym for 6 months, and it has been a really good experience. I especially love the coaches Ryan and Ariyana (I have mostly trained with them). The coaches are very considerate and helpful. I appreciate the helpful tips and tricks they share to make the exercises easier. I also like how they demonstrate alternative exercises when one of the exercises is tough or not feasible for me. I would definitely recommend OTF at this location.

Love OTF, the classes and the professional, positive and motivating instructors! With a busy lifestyle, when I only have 45-60 minutes the coaches, equipment and OJT workout, makes it easy to get a jam, packed full body workout in. Leave feeling positive, strong, and ready to roll with what the day brings.
I also travel quite a bit and have used studios in other states. Professional, Motivational and Streamlined across the board!

I have been a member at this location for several years. I absolutely LOVE this place. I am a regular at the 7:15am class. The thing I love about OTF is that all I have to do is show up- they coach you through a full body workout in 1 hour. They don’t cancel and are always on time- which is important to me. I’ve become stronger over time. I, along w/ the coaches, push me to achieve new goals daily, weekly and monthly. It never gets boring and is a challenge to master some version of the movements they ask us to do. It’s the only gym I’ve stuck w/ for any meaningful length of time. I highly recommend OTF. It is truly the best hour of my day. 😊

OTF Albany is the best! I joined in 2017 and have attended almost 1,000 classes. OTF is the only workout routine that I have ever stuck with. The workouts are varied so you won’t get bored. The coaches at Albany and at all the OTFs in the capital region are fabulous! They make sure you are doing the exercises properly and offer modifications if necessary. The other members are friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is really supportive and fun! I highly recommend OTF to everyone!

I have been a member of OTF albany since 2017. This is the longest relationship I’ve ever had with a gym. It was the place that truly put me into the routine of making my health and wellness a priority. Not only my physical health, but my mental health too. Update 1/18/24: about 200 classes in and still loving it. All the coaches are very encouraging and motivating. The variety of workouts has kept me coming back, and prevented me from losing interest. It’s the best to not have to plan your own workout and have someone tell you what to do.
Original review: I love working out here! It’s a great option for people who like to work out, but aren’t really sure what they should be doing. It’s also great for holding yourself accountable. This is the first exercise program I’ve been able to stick with consistently.

I started Orangetheory back in march of 2023, my mom had been going for several years and she convinced me to take my free class with her to see if I would like it. At the time I was very inactive and did not have any sort of routine with exercising. I have also tried a lot of different things such as personal traning, gym memberships, spin classes and in home peloton bike, nothing seemed to stick. I have to say Orangetheory by far has been my favorite exercise program there is. They really helped me get back in shape and transition my fat into muscle and build my strength. From March to about August I lost around 15-20lbs and was lowest I had weighted in years. It was nice to see that my hard work and the workouts were actually working which kept me super motivated. I love the atmosphere that Orangetheory brings and the amazing coaches they have make the classes even better. I always feel challenged and I know that for atleast 60min I go into class burn a lot of calories and come out drenched in sweat, which to me means an effective workout. I’m now 116 classes in and I always look forward to working out which is something I never did and Orangetheory has made me appreciate working out and staying active / healthy.

Lengthy review warning!! :-) I joined Orangetheory Fitness in Albany a few years ago and have been the biggest fan since day 1! You will be hard-pressed to find another workout that gives you the perfect mix of cardio and strength training and has you in and out in 60 minutes (and I’ve tried them all!!) The physical benefits are CLEAR, but the mental benefits for me have been the BEST part! The group class environment always pushes me to bring my best self for that hour that I’m in there. The coaches are knowledgeable, helpful, and motivating and on top of that the other members are always there to cheer you on and encourage you as well!! The community is truly the best of the best!! Adding Orangetheory into my daily routine has been completely life-changing in so many ways!! I am SO much stronger, I’m healthier, I’m more confident, I’m happier and have made so many friends with so many common goals! Seeing your results in real-time on the screen during classes as well as seeing your physical results daily in the mirror is SO rewarding!!

This place has legitimately changed my life. Before OrangeTheory I did a lot of outdoor running or other cardio…and some weights, but nothing consistent.
After joining the Albany, NY studio I now have structure to my workout that makes a big difference in my overall well-being. The available mix of cardio, strength, and power allows me to grow in each area, or really focus on certain aspects that I want to improve.
The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, great at motivating people, and just fun to take class with. I’ve also built a strong social connection with the regulars. This keeps me motivated and enjoying coming to class 5-6x a week!

I joined OTF back in 2018 and it was the BEST decision I've ever made! Coach Tara was my coach for the first class and it was her motivation that kept me coming back (and of course trying to take all her classes when I could) ALL the coaches are amazing (special shoutout to Coach Sav, Tara & Christine) - they are encouraging, motivating and super helpful. The workouts are challenging but fun and for everyone! The music is always on point, which creates high energy and motivates you to push yourself and do your best. I've met some great people over the years that I've become friends with and I am always looking forward to the next class! I encourage everyone to come check it out - I promise you, you will not be disappointed! The front staff (Julia & team) is just as welcoming and amazing as the coaches!

I purchased a single month as a gift for christmas. I was assured by sales rep it was a one time charge as i paid over the phone on my business card. Come to find out later that year they charged me monthly. Terrible customer service and terrible manager. Hope they never reopen. Less people will have to deal with the lies. 600 dollars to offer me a free month.

Staff was very friendly and welcoming. They took out the time with you to too make sure you had all the information you need to know. The first class is free. Even though it is group classes they still make you feel like an individual. The coach mike was great at making my first class amazing. He even gave me pointers after so i can do my best. The price is alittle steep per month if you plan on being there for alot of classes. Ik of other gyms that are way less but the equipment is way more up to date at orange theory. I also like that they have treadmills since my goal is to run outside when the weather is nice. However they do have other plans. The heart rate monitor was also alil pricey. They offer 3 month payment plan for that as well.They have a 30 day cancellation. Im taking this journey really serious so im going to give it a try . ill post later to say more with updates.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer and wanted to put my membership on hold. They were very nice about putting the membership on hold, however they contacted me several times about coming back. I had 2 surgeries and was going thru radiation and was definitely not ready to come back yet. It was the end of November and I had called to cancel my membership since they kept on calling for me to come back. I explained my situation and wanted to cancel my membership for now and will join up again when I knew I would be healthy enough to start working out again. So, as I said it was the end of November, they said I had to pay for the month of December since I went from suspending my membership to canceling it. I told them I had cancer and was going thru treatment and was unable to work out. The girl at the western ave location told me, "it doen't matter what the reason is that your canceling you still have to pay for one more month". I honestely could't believe the lack of compassion and asked to speak to the manager. The manager reiterated what the first girl said by telling me it doesn't matter the reason that's company policy and she was unable to deviate from that. She then said, "I had to pay for December and at least I could use the gym for the month". This was the worst customer service I think I've ever experienced. I had all intention of going back once I knew I was cancer free and had my energy back. I'm truly discusted in this gym and the way they treat people!

Orangetheory is a fun workout for all fitness levels. The class work is different daily but provides a great way to work at your pace. Instructors are fun and aware of the class and help people when needed. Also the place is super clean! Highly recommend!

The staff seems to be the very rude and racist. I was a first time customer and wanted to buy a class, the receptionist asked me to wait for about 20 minutes while she helped other customers who came after me. When I asked her for help, she told me to try another class at another location because they require to be at the location before 30 mins of start time (I was there 35 mins early). What a waste of time in the morning.

I was a member of vent fitness for a very long time and also have an entire gym in my basement which is nice for those days you can’t get out. But it wasn’t until I joined Orangetheory that I actually had my first REAL workout!!
It’s great accountability and I’ve never sweat like that in any workout. I love it here. I come at least 4 times per week. I just completed my 6th workout and already people are noticing a change in my physique and I can feel it!
It’s a great feeling when you know you’re doing something good for your health!
I’m grateful for this place. It’s the one thing I needed to finally change my life for the better.

Very very dishonest business management! They “require” a credit card on file for a FREE TRIAL! That’s a bit absurd considering that you already sign a liability waiver to ensure that if something happens on the premises, they are covered. Personally, the female “manager” at the ALBANY location had no clue what she was talking about. I reviewed BOTH contracts and nowhere on there does it state that you are REQUIRED to put a card on file. It only makes STRONG suggestions about using their heart rate monitor and if lost/damaged, you would be liable for replacement. After spending 15 minutes just reading over the proper documents, and proving them WRONG about their own policy, she proceeded to tell me that I wasn’t within the 30 minute requirement for the intro. Be VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS PLACE! If you don’t read the fine print, they will coerce you into believing that they NEED a card on file when nowhere on their contracts does it state that.
I want to note that I’m new to the tri-state area and have done trials at almost all the gyms in the region when searching for a gym home. NONE OF THEM REQUIRE A CARD ON FILE OTHER THAN THIS PLACE!!!!!! That’s a bit deterring, and if you ask me, a bit of a scam to hold people accountable for EXTRA CHARGES when they forget to remove their card off file after ‘X’ amount of days!!!
Also found it VERY unprofessional that they wanted my CARD OVER THE PHONE! How are you to verify it’s MY CARD? How do you know it’s ‘ME’ you are speaking to? That’s just opening the doors to FRAUD!!!!
BUYERS BEWARE!!!!! READ THE CONTRACT!!!! YOUR CARD IS NOT A REQUIREMENT FOR A FREE TRIAL AT GYM EVEN IF THEY SAY SO VERBALLY!!!! It’s just another way to TRICK NEW MEMBERS who don’t sign up!!!

I am a dedicated OTF fan. Been a member for 15 months consistently. There's a full automated regimen. Over time you work out every muscle without thinking about it. The coaches offer valuable group encouragement and remind individuals where they are with getting a minimum satisfaction of 12 splat points in high heart rate zones. And if you workout 3x or more a week, I did for a year, you can lose big! I lost 16 lbs without thinking much about anything but showing up! 80% is showing up not competing in the boards or beating others. Just be part of the pack and win! PS The music playlists are great and the members are great. I don't see a lot of attrition. People wanna be part of OTF and attend their social events, too! The fundraising piece is inspiring. The games and monthly challenges make it fun! This year I am actually looking forward to Hell Week!

Dishonest business management, I had cancer and needed to go on treatments. I asked to cancel membership before next monthly payment. But they charged me for extra month membership fee. Later on when I resolve misunderstanding with them. They won’t refund me money but a credit for future use. I was going on the cancer treatment, not event knowing when will my health br recovered. In adddition, it was their fault to overcharged me. How could they not refund me the money? With the bad business ethic, I would not want to go back to them?

What I love most about Orangetheory Fitness are the coaches, the results, the atmosphere, and the accountability. The coaches really push you and give you a great workout.
