Orange Theory is the most effective workout class for me - combining cardio and weightlifting in a nonstop environment that makes you forget you’re exercising because you’re just focused on the task at hand. I’ve been going to various OTFs for 6+ years and the staff and coaches at Park Slope are some of the best. Instructive but not intrusive, motivating, and playlists full of bangers to keep you moving.

To be honest, I love this studio with the amenities provided, but since I can’t make a complaint anonymously to the studio or to corporate I have to write a review. I have been at the studio for a while, and lots of time I feel like I’m not welcome. Some staffs, especially Lainee, are rude. Many time when I come in, there is no “hello, hi”, just a straight stare and “what’s your name”, then random wrong charges by staff then they have to refund. Please train your staff better, if you work in front desk, at least put on a welcoming face and say hello, don’t be rude. Thanks

Really nice selection of weights, more than most other studios. But their shower is full of cleaning supplies, mops, and vacuums, rendering it unusable which is a first for me at other NYC OTFs

After decades of feeling uncomfortable about fitness, I started going to Orangetheory Park Slope in October—and I’ve been showing up almost every week since. The classes keep me on track, and I’m seeing real results. I never, ever thought I’d be someone who enjoys jogging on a treadmill, but now I actually look forward to it.
Coach Maddy brings great energy and creative themed classes. I love Coach Frankie’s music picks—they make early morning workouts go by faster. And Coach Nai has a great way of offering helpful tips without making anything feel awkward. Luke is always so welcoming at the front desk.
This location stands out for its thoughtful amenities: they offer gym and shower towels and a full locker room—something you don’t always find at other storefront studios.
OTF Park Slope is also a fun way to meet more people in the neighborhood, and the Instagram shout-outs add a nice touch of motivation. I hope corporate OTF will upgrade the app and the fitness band to more modern tech - I'd love AI analysis of my stats.
I recommend Orangetheory Park Slope to anyone looking for a fresh, encouraging way to get into fitness.

I've been going to OT Park Slope for a while now, and it’s one of the best workout environments I’ve experienced. Also the best gym in the OT network in my experience. The entire staff is encouraging, upbeat, and genuinely wants you to succeed. Maddy and Naomi are my favorite coaches. They bring so much energy, motivation, and fun to every class. I always leave feeling stronger and more capable. Highly recommend this studio to anyone looking for a supportive and high-energy fitness community.

This past year I wanted to make a change so I joined OT at this location and I am so happy I did! I love everyone here - the coaches and staff are super inclusive and kind, make an effort to get to know you and just overall have a really positive and fun attitude and approach to fitness. They have a nice locker room with showers that is well stocked with towels and essential toiletries which is essential as someone not wanting to lug too much stuff around while on the go. The regional manager Blair is amazing - she gets to know everyone and really does a great job addressing issues/keeping this place running smoothly and will go out of her way to do things for you to make sure you have a good experience/address any issues. Overall an amazing gym run by even more amazing people and highly recommend!

I've been going to OrangeTheory for about a year now, and I'm so much happier and healthier! The coaches make working out a joy. With their help and motivation, I've gotten stronger and faster. I feel both challenged and supported whenever I come to class. While the physical benefits are awesome, the mental health benefits are my favorite part. Shoutout to the front desk staff who are so cheerful and nice...They keep everything running. :)

I’ve been a member of Orange Theory for a while now, and it’s truly an outstanding place to work out. The service is exceptional, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Blair, the manager, has been fantastic—always attentive and ensuring that everything runs smoothly. Naomi, the trainer, is absolutely amazing—knowledgeable, motivating, and genuinely dedicated to helping you reach your goals. Hannah is also incredibly friendly and always makes me feel at home.
The cleanliness of the club is top-notch. It’s clear that the team takes great pride in maintaining a clean, well-organized facility. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, the support and environment here are second to none. I highly recommend Orange Theory to anyone looking for a great fitness experience!

OT Park Slope has surprised me in the best way possible and taken me out of my comfort zone in many ways - which is a beautiful thing. I cannot stress enough how much I despise ANY type of workout, ha. I have been comfortably practicing the same type of hot yoga for 20 years now and just decided to introduce something new to my 44 year old body. In the short time that I have been taking class here - barely a month and 15 classes so far - I noticed that I already feel stronger in my body and more “even” when I walk - people with injuries will understand this. Also definitely have more energy and do not feel as sluggish.
I think the gym is great, not too small but also not too big. I can be invisible on days I don’t feel like being noticed but also receive instructions on days I am open to them. The floor exercises can be confusing at times but I just try to do my best and then inevitably I feel great after class.
The best part are the humans who work here. I love how different each coach is in their coaching style but also in their taste in music. If I had to pick a favorite it would be Will or Maddy. But never a sub par experience though.
I really enjoy this (NOT during, but after haha!) and will keep returning. Thank you, OT Park Slope.

OTF is a circuit-based training workout. Each class is instructed by AHHH-mazing knowledgeable coaches and monitored with a heart monitor. The heart monitor calculates the progress and amount of work each member is accomplishing during their workout. Each day there are different programs in a 60-minute class focusing on all body parts without sacrificing too much time. This workout becomes an addition due to the positive physical results. I have been a long-time member and strongly recommend to give it a try. You will not be sorry! Love ya OTF Park Slope! You are my family! XO

Any Orange Theory you go to is going to provide an undoubtedly rigorous workout. You’ll leave with jello limbs after the first few, and with visible muscle definition over time. This particular location is staffed by great folks who are friendly, good at what they do, and very motivating. I’ve been a regular for a few years now for a reason. Even with the opening of the fancy Chelsea Piers in the neighborhood, I’ve retained my OTF membership because the workout just can’t be beat.

Orangetheory only cares about money. I booked an intro class that was advertised as complimentary. They emailed me to say that I had already taken a class with them, which meant that I was not eligible for the complimentary class - that makes total sense and I very much understood. I was happy to pass on the class. However, the catch was that they forced me to take the class and pay for it. I did not have the option to opt out after given the information that I had to pay for it. Hannah forced me to provide my credit card information over the phone and had I not called, I would have been able to politely opt out of the class. Terrible customer experience that a Barry's or a Y7 would never do. Other studios bend over backwards to make sure that the customer has a good experience. Orangetheory bends over backwards to make a sale.

Nice, clean gym. Ideal for people who want to START training. I love the idea of doing exercises with a heart rate monitor! The trainers are very nice and involved!
I just would like to warn you about the following if you plan to train here:
- they are very strict here with late arrivals: they didn’t let me come when I was 5 minutes late (very disappointed: I was in a hurry, took an Uber, it was raining outside...)
- DO NOT PURCHASE A MEMBERSHIP! Because if you want to cancel, you have to give 30 days notice (that's ok), but it works from the last payment date of the membership (not ok). Thus, you must warn at least 1.5-2 months in advance.
- If you are very busy (like me), such classes are not suitable for you. The time gaps between workouts are often very long and it will be difficult for you to get the desired time that does not conflict with your schedule.
- And, I repeat, even if you find a class that suits you in time, you cannot be late for it (even for a good reason).
So, I'm very sorry, but I just canceled my membership. But I will have to go to this club for almost 2 more months)))) This is how the cancellation rule works!

Love the classes and some coaches are great. Other coaches have poor taste in music with either too much sexual content for 9AM on a weekday morning or do not respect people’s request to change the music. Front desk people are nice. Studio is quite small, and quite expensive (a little under $30/class). The amenities are great though with everything from serums to deodorant, Q-tips, earplugs, hair care, and more. I don’t remember seeing feminine care but that would definitely be a great addition.

Do not go here. Their policies are outdated, unrealistic, and do not take into account the human experience (i.e, financial troubles, late subways, etc). I got a membership for just 1 month and they charged me for a SECOND MONTH despite me explaining I could not afford it and I did not wish to continue because I did not think the workouts were good. Their response was "well our policy is a 30 day cancellation." I gave them 3 weeks notice, not 4, and explained the recent life event that left me with serious financial stress. It made no sense and felt cruel to do to someone. People have big life events that impact their financial situations. People go through stuff. We should all understand that at this point. I will never go to another orange theory class again, and I'll be sure to tell everyone I know about this experience. I now have negative money in my account, AND I have not even been using my "membership" this month because I do not like the workouts. Do better, Orange Theory.

As a former long-time member of this gym I've been periodically surprised by the cold, corporate response they have towards their members. I'd like to mention I also frequently go to OFT upstate in Newburgh, NY which doesn't have the same cold, strict polices as the Park Slope location. The workouts are good, especially if you are looking for cardio, but the stringent policies regarding letting people into class if they are a few minutes late is too much. Most recently I signed into a class with the front desk, went downstairs to the locker room to change into my gym cloths and by the time I came back up the front desk girl told me I couldn't join the class. Plus they have double charged me for things like water and heart rate monitors, which is just annoying. With the high price of membership (close to 200 bucks a month) you'd think this gym would value their members a little more, but it's clear they don't. There are plenty of other gyms around that have a much better attitude and appreciation for their long time members. So although I might drop in for a class now and then at this OTF location, I don't recommend committing to a monthly membership with them. Just not worth it. Although locations are managed independently, so OFT in other neighborhoods might be better.

I had an unfortunate experience with incorrect charges on my credit card. Luckily, I noticed it but it was upsetting to be double charged for a class and then told that my card cannot be taken off file. I thoroughly enjoyed the classes (coach Naomi is incredible) but am discouraged from going back because I would have appreciated a more honest, transparent attitude towards $

If I could give this place 10/5 stars I would. I’ve been to my fair share of gyms and I’ve done everything from CrossFit, to Barry’s, to F45 and this studio is by far my favorite place to workout. The team is so welcoming and inviting, I’ve never walked in a single day without being greeted with a smile. Blair and her crew do such a great job of fostering a friendly, social environment that it makes paying the monthly membership fee worth it. The coaches know just the right way to push you without overstepping and have held me accountable (thank you Naomi). If you’re looking for a place to get a solid workout in, have some fun, and be apart of a community, this place is it.

Bryan is the best instructor (only reason I signed up tbh). This place is only trying to get a money out of you and doesn’t really care. I was told upon my first day an instructor would call me to go over what my body goal is and that never happened. I also was told that my classes would come up to $189 but then got a $230 charge (for only 8 classes a month) which is way over my budget that I mentioned on the first day. Also lol they told me the band was a requirement but when I ask other Orangetheory users they said it’s optional at their location. Place kind of is a rip off if you ask me. Just sign up for crunch for $30 and take the HIT classes there.

This place is making the effort but misses the mark in terms of transparency with charges. Decent enough workout but general low key rip off approach to members from other OT studios utilising equipment as well as not explaining to NYC residents what is and is not included as a first time session. Would have wanted to come back more, but the feeling that this studio would rather take a couple of dollars rather than focus on the customer experience was a total turn off. Would recommend to bring your workout dollars elsewhere.

I like the circuit process and high intensity training. I prefer starting on tread for warming up and getting my body ready for rowing and then weights. Combined with the good music and the instructor pushing you to give your best makes the whole experience even better. By the end I’m buggered from working hard but it’s a really good buggered one that makes you sleep good when you get home. I signed up for full membership and will increase my workouts over the next few weeks untill I can reach 5-6 workout days. I wish I did this years ago.

Attended a free trial session here. The reception staff were very welcoming and organized, as was the membership associate and the instructor. Relatively small space for the number of participants that were there - bit too tight for me. Clean and tidy changing rooms and plenty of available lockers. Worth a trial or joining, if you’re someone who likes/prefers a class environment. I went to OTF for the 1st time this previous Sunday at the Park Slope location because I had a friend in town who really enjoys the class and suggested I go with her. Upon signing up for the 10:10am class, the confirmation suggested I show up at least 30 mins before, which should have been a big red flag. When I strolled in everyone was super friendly and nice but then instead of illustrating to me how the class is set-up and what I should be prepared for etc. it felt more like signing up for a gym membership. The sales associate, Maria, wanted to do a long walk-through of fitness goals, past experiences, current fitness level, etc. and go into a 30mins sales pitch essentially. Since all of my time was spent on the sales pitch, the instructor barely got to a chance to describe how the class would be conducted that day. He strapped me into the rower, showed me how to use it and said he had to get class started! Luckily, I've done workouts like this before and knew how to use the equipment but anyone brand new would have struggled. Furthermore, the instructor was just operating on auto-pilot. He had no care for how anyone performed, he barely spent time on the weight floor demonstrating the moves and instructed everyone to just look at the screens. After class, the sales pitch was pursued again (!!!) by the instructor trying to explain my performance to me and then shifting me back over to Maria to "close the deal". I scurried out of there as soon as I could with 0 intention of ever coming back. My close girlfriend who recommended I come with her to OTF, explained that was the worst class instruction she's every experienced. We spoke in the lockeroom and another attendee explained that after months of coming, she only learned how to use the row machine last week. The workout left me sore and I would genuinely want to go again - but the multiple attempted sales pitches from Maria and the total lack of effort from Brendan (the instructor) was a major turn off.

I can't think of a better way to start the day. Orangetheory is the most efficient and effective workout compilation that I have personally experienced. The combination of cardio and weights is perfect to get the body physically activated and have energy throughout the day. Slap on the aspect of tracking your progress and you have the best one hour workout out there. The results speak for themselves, both inside and outside of the studio. Orangetheory is more than a gym, it’s a lifestyle.
I feel the main difference between here and your average gym are the actual people there. Rather than just checking in with a front desk person and wandering the weight floor, you are surrounded by people who want and push you to succeed. All you have to do is show up and they will guide you from beginning to end. Commitment comes naturally.
Huge shout out to the people who make it happen here:
Naomi, Alex, Brooke, Dom, Reggie and Connor.
Thanks for reopening!

Love this place! Staff is friendly and helpful, the classes are fun. I love that each class is different so you don't get bored of doing the same workouts over and over. Definitely recommend Orangetheory.

Orange Theory has quite literally changed my life. I used to belong to Crunch and tried their personal training packages (which were super expensive) ... then I found OT. This is essentially daily personal training at a fraction of the price. The coaches are incredible and the staff is so kind. Huge fan - love the OTF Park Slope fam :)

I've stopped personal training because I think this is a better expenditure of my time and money. The workout is different enough everyday that is stays interesting and challenging, but similar enough that you can track your own progress. It's very motivating to track calories and splat points, and I feel stronger every time I complete a class.

3g offends me. Especially when it's not on the calendar. Should be outlawed. Great location. Nice staff. Probably the nicest otf I've visited.

First and foremost...you have the best head coach. I get more splat points when I work out with Naomi than any other coach and I am definitely pushed to the next level. Always the best workout when I come to New York. What I love most is that everyday is something different. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Orange theory is so much fun and the heart rate monitors are very reinforcing. I am more motivated to workout because i am able to view my heart rate activity on a screen and the email i get with all my information at the end helps me gauge where i am in regards to my goals. The coaches are helpful and i love them!! Bryan, Naomi and Garner are theeee best <3

Give in to the hype, because this class is everything it claims to be. I’ve only been doing orange theory for 6 weeks and I’m already seeing changes in my body and fitness level. It’s not an easy class, but they give options for every fitness level. The class is broken into 3 blocks: rowing, weight lifting (which are sometimes combined into one), and running. I used to hate the treadmill, but they do give you options to power walk or to use a stationary bike. But I love pushing myself on the treadmill now! I’ve gone from never running at all to running 2-3 miles per class. Trying to get the little “splats” on your board is addictive. Note that you’ll either need to purchase a heart rate band from them or rent one each class. It’s much more cost efficient to buy if you plan to come more than one time. Definitely worth a try!

Great workout program with a lot of availability to fit anyone's schedule. The facilities are very clean and all the exercise equipment is excellent quality. I enjoy the pace and rhythm of the workouts at OTF.

OTF pushes and challenges me MUCH harder than I would ever do by myself. I love that I'm becoming a stronger runner, and have begun challenging myself with longer distance runs on days I'm not in class.

Trevor paid attention to each person , and with my injuries that’s super important. He encouraged each one of us to go beyond our typical expectations and comfort zones in an aware manor, never has such a great class!

I love the guided exercises lead by someone else. In other gyms, I just wandered around until I saw something that looked like it might help me. But I never pushed hard enough or long enough when exercising. That's what I accomplish by having someone else lead the workouts.

Best and most efficient workout I've had in years. Ironically, very individualized even though it's group fitness. Corey, Mike, and staff are great.

It was an incredibly good use of a 1 hour workout. I got my a$$ kicked and it reminded me of my athletic days and being super exhausted after practice (I love that feeling). I also like how the class isn't boring. I hate treadmills but because you're changing intervals every 30-90 seconds, it kept me mentally and physically involved in the workout. I also liked how engaged the coach is in the workout.

Absolutely fabulous studio with a ton of amenities. I came here as a guest while in town for a conference. I'm kindof jealous of the patrons of this studio, you have a beautiful studio and awesome trainers. I got to experience Thaddeus' Saturday class and he is hands down my favorite trainer I've ever had, and I've been to several Orangetheory locations across the country. His energy is so motivating. If you live here, you must go! You won't regret it!!
