Orangetheory is amazing. I spend 60 minutes working out with excellent and motivating coaches and all around phenomenal energy from the entire class. There is no way I would push myself this much if I was working out on my own or even with a one-on-one trainer. There is some magic about the combination of coaching, ever changing workout templates, and the class's energy. I highly encourage new members to try the challenges (thank you Bri for encouraging me) as they really motivate you to push yourself beyond your normal pace. Outside of class I feel more energetic and have noticed it's easier to hike, bike, and ski without feeling worn out. Thank you to the amazing coaches and staff who show up and always have positive energy to keep everybody nudging towards improvements!!

I played sports in high school and college. When I finished school, i was looking for that same type of feel: direction, coach, challenging workouts, community/ family, and fun. I have done every type of workout there is. Your typical box gym, boxing classes, CrossFit, spin classes. These are all great, but to me, everything was always lacking something. I stumbled across a sign for βOrange Theory coming soon to Buffaloβ. I was looking for my next challenge, so, why not? Best decision ever! Every class is different, working muscles that you didnβt even know you have. Every class has elite athletes mixed in with people just starting their journey, and trying to get comfortable on the treadmill, and everything in between. Coaches and support staff are amazing! I used to go for a great workout. Now, I go to see my fiends, and have a great timeβ¦.i just happen to get a great workout along the way!
If youβre looking to take your exercise program to the next level, this is your place. If you want to start your fitness journey, and are a little nervous, or hesitant, this is your place. If you want to jump start a stale workout, or to be challenged again, this is your place. If youβre looking for the best, most supportive community, this is your place.
First class is free, so you have nothing to lose. Give them a shot, your future self will thank you for it!π§‘

Love this studio! I am biased because it is my home studio. The current coaches are great. They are motivating, pay attention to detail with members performance of exercises and care about the members. Love the people at this studio. My only criticism would be love to see some sprucing up of the studio, as it hasn't been touched since it opened 10 years ago.

Spend a little over a week in Buffalo. Hands down a phenomenal studio! Steph is an amazing coach and her energy keeps you going. I took 3 of my 6 classes with her and anytime Iβm back Iβll make sure to spent time with her at the Transit studio. Was able to get in a class with Bri and she is a great force as well! I love all my visits to Orange theory as well as the coaches there. They're fantastic! As a runner, my fitness workouts tended to be a bit specific to running, until I started at OT....and the workouts are super challenging. They're no joke, and great for improving my overall fitness beyond just running. But they are also easily modified based on the abilities of each person. So, all types of people can walk out having received the same amount of challenge, tailored to them.

Iβve been an OTF member at a different location for six years and have been to several studios across the US. This studio has dated equipment that malfunctions including multiple treadmills that will suddenly stop. The woman who I assumed to be the manager lacked customer service skills and was incredibly unprofessionally acting and looking. I recommend Sweat Society or Revolution Buffalo for an overall better customer experience. I have an unlimited OTF package and I would rather spend money at another gym than waste my time at the Transit Rd OTF.

I have been an unlimited member of Orange Theory for several months now. I usually do not go to this studio but there was a waitlist at my home studio so I decided to come here. It was snowing and the roads were extremely icy. I called the studio to let them know I would be 5 minutes late and the manager was extremely nasty. She said that if I wasnβt there exactly 5 min after the start of the class I would not be allowed in. I never heard of this before and have gone to several classes at other studios where members have strolled in even 10 minutes late without a problem. When I arrived at the studio, 5 minutes late, she refused to let me in. She claimed that it had been 6 minutes since the start of the class. The way she handled the situation was extremely unprofessional and I have never experienced such poor treatment in my life. I pay $160 a month to attend these classes and I should have been allowed in. I drove 30 minutes to attend this class in a snow storm and was literally kicked out. The manager should be ashamed of herself for her horrible customer service. This experience was extremely upsetting to me considering how much I love the Orange Theory workouts.

This was a nice studio - but it's absolutely ridiculous that the first class free only applies to local residents. I came while visiting a friend and after a confusing sign-up process, the manager called to ask where I lived and prefaced it with "having a few questions first" when that was, in fact, the only question she asked me. As a former barre studio manager I find this really bad form, as if they were hiding the reason for calling to talk to me before coming in. If the first class is only free for locals, that should be reflected in their advertising. The class was average and had way too much shifting/waiting around. The heart monitor feature is cool. Will definitely not be back.

I went to go to class for my first time here at this location and wanted to give a class a try. They said because I had come less than 30 minutes before class (I was there 20 mins before and knew how to use equipment) that I would have to reschedule. I couldn't make it earlier for family reasons and for snow and even explained to them why. They refused. I'm not coming back here again. Asking to show up that early and then get turned away when I finally drive to the location is crazy.

I have been going to orange theory now for a couple of months and all I have is positive words for it. It's a great workout tailored for everyone and anyone who is trying to get moving, regardless of their fitness level. All instructors will push you hard, and while all of them are great they have a few instructors who are AMAZING! Adding an extra shower and a class somewhere between 12 and 4 would make it absolutely perfect.

The Manager at this location is unreasonable, unforthcoming, and just provided literally non-existent service when I dropped in for a class over the holidays. She charged my credit card for a session without telling me while I was visiting from VA. When I called to resolve this, she informed me of some policy [that is NO WHERE in my membership agreement] that you can't transfer sessions from one month to use at another studio. Which is funny because I have 6 studios equi-distant to my house in the DC area not part of the same ownership tag that I do this in regularly.
I booked the session over the phone with someone else, was not stopped while checking in, and was told that she authorized the charge the following day, I was never told that there would be an additional charge. Instead of admitting to their fault of not stopping me, or at least calling me, on the 3 separate occasions they had the opportunity to, they put their end of month numbers as a higher priority than providing any actual customer service.
Maybe they are allowed to make up their own policies??? If this is the case, the manager should have at least informed me of the policy, and informed me in advance that I would be charged.
I worked in fitness for 7 years, executing these agreements. I know when people are being shady and/or just plain lazy.

Time flies, I donβt think about how much left I have, Iβm in the moment. Iβm always motivated to push harder, run faster, use heavier weights and perfect my rowing. Itβs perfectly inconsistent with work outs, routines and combination of strength, endurance or power I never. No matter the combination I never feel burnt out, bored or exhausted. Iβm happy to go everyday because I know exactly what Iβll get, a really great hour to myself, for myself. Itβs encouraged my weight loss and given me the accountability that I needed to motivate myself to work out, be better and lose a lot of weight the right way.

Today was a nerve that needed to be release. I enjoyed every minute of the workout today. My first goal was to make the phone call. My second goal was to make it to the schedule appt. I love Orange Theory in general. The most consistently hard but not too hard work out where I can almost always burn 500 calories in an hour. I use my own heart rate combined with the challenge of the coach to drive myself to improve my own personal results. It's a competition with myself to be my best. The team at Transit Rd makes me feel right at home. They are always welcoming and helpful.

I've had a great experience as an Orangetheory member for the last year. The group training setting forces me to work harder than I would by myself, and I love not having to design workouts on my own. Classes start and end on time, so it's a very efficient, consistent experience. I show up, I follow the workout guided by the coaches, and I'm guaranteed to leave feeling a sense of accomplishment and get closer to my fitness goals.

Poor customer service. I had given them my independent health flex fit $250 debit card to pay for my monthly fees which they did NOT use and used my credit card instead. When I became pregnant and decided to end my membership they informed me they were going to charge me for one additional month, no big deal- most places have the same policy. But instead of stopping complete payment after that one month, they started drawing funds from my flex fit card (b/c they hadn't drained it earlier), this went on for FOUR months, and when the card was finally drained they started charging my credit card again. It's like I had never quit!
I reached out many times to the manager, Rachel, but she never returned my calls, an no one seemed to know when she would be working next. Finally she sent me an email, which I had replied to explaining my situation.... and of course there was NO REPLY.
As for the work outs: they're good and fun if you know what you're doing. But if you look around there are many injuries waiting to happen. There's one trainer watching 30+ people doing all different things. They're not able to correct bad form when you're squatting, dead lifting, TRXing, etc.

I am not one who will willing work out. If I do decide to exercise, it consists of the same few methods and techniques. Attending Orangetheory Fitness a couple times a week provides me with motivation and new techniques. The coaches encourage and monitor my progress during class, giving me an almost personal training experience, without the high expense of one-on-one training. I would encourage anyone curious about OTF to swing by and take a look. You will sweat and be sore, guaranteed...but that is why you go to a gym-right?

It is really sad...I was a big fan of Orangetheory...told all of my friends about it...UNTIL...I had to freeze my membership for medical reasons. My credit card was still charged. I was told it wasn't a problem. It would be applied as credit on my account. Okay...Before my "freeze" period was over, I realized I was going to have to cancel my membership. My intent was to come back in the future. When you close your membership, they have a policy that you pay for another month afterward. The way I saw it was that we were settled. They got my money for the month my account should have been frozen. They did not see it the way I did and continue to send daily emails telling me I owe them money. It is infuriating!
I am being treated unfairly and even feel harassed. SUCH POOR CUSTOMER RELATIONS! Like I said,..sad...They not only lost a loyal customer, but now I am telling everyone I know to STAY AWAY!
An update on this...It has been another week and this still isn't resolved! I am so disappointed with OT! I will never do business with them and hope I can save others from the hassle I am dealing with.
