I booked a class with them. Everything was confirmed. A representative called me to confirm my address and asked me for a card to place on file but it won't be charged. She went over the rules and suggested that I wear sneakers and water. On Sunday 10 mins before my class I received a text saying they were unable to charge my card please give the a call. So I called. And I was greeted by a very rude representative from the flushing location. She said to me that the rep who called me was new. And the information she gave me was incorrect. The free class is actually $30.I told her that it is not my fault she is new. She said ohh sorry you can go to another location and hanged up. I have dealt with orange therapy Bryant Park. And the customer service is totally different. I won't recommend. I just wasted an entire morning plus paid parking •

When I first joined Orangetheory Fitness Flushing, I’ll be honest — I wasn’t sure it was the right fit for me. I went in for a free trial, half-convinced it would be just another gym membership that I’d lose interest in after a few weeks. My wife encouraged me to commit for a couple of months, since my body wasn’t in great shape and I wanted to feel stronger again. That decision turned out to be one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself.

From the very first class, I realized this wasn’t your typical gym. The energy, coaching, and community here are next level. The workouts are structured, science-based, and adjustable for all fitness levels — whether you’re power walking, jogging, or running. The combination of heart rate tracking, strength training, and cardio intervals keeps every class fresh and motivating. You never get bored, and you always walk out feeling accomplished.

But what truly makes this location special are the people:
💪 Coach Sammi, Coach Kenni, and Coach Jimmy are absolute rockstars. Each has their own coaching style — Sammi brings incredible energy and precision to form correction, Kenni pushes you to find that extra gear you didn’t know you had, and Jimmy somehow makes every class feel like a team event. They know every member’s name, goals, and limits — and they genuinely care about helping you improve, not just get through the workout.

✨ Kali at the front desk deserves a special shoutout too! She’s the first smile you see when you walk in and the reason the place feels so welcoming. She keeps everything running smoothly, remembers everyone by name, and radiates good vibes from start to finish.

In less than a year of joining, I went from feeling unsure and out of shape to gaining noticeable muscle mass, improving endurance, and feeling more confident than I have in years. I hit my personal goal faster than expected and ended up signing up for the Unlimited membership, going 6 days a week because I genuinely wanted to. The vibe here is addictive — the music, the energy, and the supportive community make you want to show up every day.

The Flushing OTF community is something special. Members cheer each other on, celebrate milestones, and motivate you to keep pushing. It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or an athlete — everyone’s in it together.

If you’re on the fence, trust me — just take the free class. I was hesitant too, and now I can’t imagine my week without it. You’ll leave sweaty, smiling, and proud — and you might just discover your new favorite hour of the day. 🧡🔥

I met the owner Blake while traveling to the area and he invited me to check out the gym. It’s an amazing facility and I’m not surprised having met the owner. He’s friendly, smart, and fit - definitely in the right business and it shows in this amazing gym!

This place, like many businesses in Flushing has been a blessing for me. My stenosis inhibited me from getting healthy. After a reference from one of the many angels I have on Prince Street, I found Orange Theory. My life has improved so much! I a very active again, I wake up wondering where the pain went. The coaches here listen and encourage me to work hard. It's just about as good as having a personal trainer that knows your health needs! What more can I say? Excellent!

I’ve really enjoyed my workouts at Orangetheory, and Coach Jimmy makes a huge difference. He’s motivating, knowledgeable, and keeps the classes fun while still challenging. Jimmy always explains the exercises clearly, gives helpful corrections, and pushes you to do your best without making you feel overwhelmed. I’ve noticed a big improvement in my strength and energy since joining. The studio is clean, welcoming, and the whole team is supportive. Highly recommend!

I’ve been coming to OTF Flushing since day one and absolutely love it! Coaches Kendall, Sam, Jimmy, and Blake bring so much energy and make every class motivating. Hope to see them coaching even more often at this location. Big shoutout to Kali and Rain at the front desk for always being so welcoming.

I've been attending since day 1 and enjoy the classes and coaches here. Bathrooms and showers are clean and spacious. I was pregnant in 2023 and coaches were knowledgeable with modified strength work outs that was still challenging and safe for my pregnancy. I was able to attend classes up until the week of my labor & delivery.

I'm happy with the recent update to their schedule. They now offer strength/tread only classes mid week.

I park at the municipal lot on Prince St for free when I used to attend the 6am class. You just have to leave the studio right away and get to the car by 7am-ish. Now I attend the 8:30am weekday class and pay $3.50 for parking at the municipal lot and there are usually a lot of spots open at 8:20am. Otherwise Tangram has parking underground for $7 (Mon-Thur) or $10 (Fri-Sun) for up to 3 hours.

If you're the type that needs group class motivation and some push, but not scary yelling push, then this place is for you. You get your cardio (jog, run, or power walk) and strength done within the hour and can go about your day.

Been here for over a year and this studio has the most loud and obnoxious clique ever that it feels quite annoying to a certain extent. They have no regards or respect for other members who work out at the studio. It was not like this when I first started working out here but I dread coming in to workout now bc it doesn’t feel like a real community that orange theory promotes but more so of whether or not you belong to a clique at the Flushing studio.

I was late once for ten minutes and Kendall, who was at the front desk at the time (not the coach teaching the class) didn’t let me go in. I thought it was up the the coaches discretion whether I can go and attend class if I was a few minutes late (this is what they told me when I signed up). It’s not like I’m interrupting anyone else and was my last class and I was very upset about this. When Kendall is coaching, she also blasts the music extremely loud it gives me feels like we’re at a club instead of the gym. I haven’t been here for a while and was originally thinking about going back but wouldn’t want to deal with Kendall again. She’s not the most considerate coach. All the other ones are great

I’ve been coming to this studio since they opened post-2020. There are lockers, two restrooms and two shower rooms. The workout room is spacious enough with a row of treads on the right, strength floor on the left, and rowers in the back. The staff are ok, not as friendly as my LI studio front desk, but usually there’s only one person there.

What would make this a five star studio? 1) More strength classes would be great since the weekend 8am strength 50 class is always waitlist only, and the 9:15 and 10:30 regular classes aren’t full. 2) the coaches are fine/good. Compared to some Long Island studios though, those coaches prep their playlist for the Push and All Out intervals and really cheer us on. So it feels like those coaches are putting in some prep and it doesn’t feel like I’m just running/ lifting to whichever playlist is on with no beat change.

I don’t go enough to warrant my monthly membership so I’ll switch to a class pack. I texted the studio and got the cancellation form quickly. No problems there compared to some other reviews.

Pros: Cool workouts
Cons:
1)The staff have weird attitudes; most can be standoffish and some of the instructors can be condescending. One instructor called me out for choosing a lighter weight despite me telling their team of my shoulder injuries.

2)After deciding that otf wasn’t a good fit for my schedule and wellness interests, it took roughly two months to cancel; three staff members told me different things during the process. Also, Kali @ the front desk was incredibly rude when I successfully canceled my membership—she brushed off the aforementioned cancelation issues, wouldn’t answer my questions directly, invited me to start another membership (laughable), then hung up while i was speaking.

3)The gym is overpriced for my personal interests (e.g. ~$104/ month for 4 classes). And with the added drama from the staff, I don’t regret leaving one bit! Not in this economy lol.

I called back to request the cancellation paperwork and to have my info removed. Sam, one of the instructors and managers, reassured me that my payment info was removed and that she’ll email the paperwork. (Will update here as necessary.) However, apparently my health data—including info from that heart rate tracker—is in the company’s “global system,” which they can’t access from the facility. That request requires outreach to corporate 😵‍💫

After being a member at Orangetheory Tangram for approximately 16 months, my most recent OT - Tangram experience really solidified my enthusiasm for this particular studio, and the OT approach to fitness, health, and wellness. The culture and climate at this particular location really supports the goals and objectives of anyone looking to improve their quality of life. Without getting into all of the specifics surrounding the OT approach, I genuinely believe this is most efficient and effective way to workout. More importantly, I have to say that my experience at this particular Flushing - Tangram studio over the course of a year+ has been nothing short of exceptional. Even after 300 classes, I still receive receive regular feedback and encouragement from ALL the coaches and staff. I have to imagine this is one of the best OT studios in the tri-state area. OT is the best use of my time, given the convenient 7-day a week class schedule, convenience of attending OT classes when traveling and the data driven approach to tracking progress. Thank you ALL the coaches at the Tangram location! Looking forward to many more classes at this studio with this Team!

I’m a member at another studio but I enjoy coming to the Tangram location because it’s a newer facility. Clean, less crowded, and all the machines/drinking fountains/bathrooms work. The coaches are all really nice, and the workout itself is good for people who like a mix of weight training and cardio. Having done cycling, yoga, Pilates, and kickboxing, Orangetheory is the only workout I have consistently stuck with for years. Recommend Jimmy as a coach, he is very helpful and articulate.

Been a member at this location for 2 years already!! I also have ClassPass and have never been as consistent anywhere as I have been at OTF. I love the energy here - from the coaches, manager, the front desk staff, and the community in the workout room. The environment is very supportive here and I’m always excited to show up. The amenities (private bathrooms and showers) are always clean and the equipment is always organized as well. I never felt pressured to purchase more classes or a heart rate monitor (I don’t own or wear one). There are always fun events happening with monthly challenges and raffle prizes to keep you motivated. The happy hours are always fun to attend too!

Absolutely phenomenal experience at Orange Theory Tangram! The training and coaching provided here are truly exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and motivated. The trainers are incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and encouraging, pushing me to achieve my fitness goals every step of the way. The workouts are dynamic and challenging, ensuring a full-body workout that leaves me feeling energized and accomplished.

Coming here for 3 months now, I can say that I have gained some muscle and can lift heavier. I love how the coaches will approach you to correct your form when needed. Much cheaper than a personal trainer, and well worth the money! Heavier dumbbells are also available on the side. I can't recommend Orange Theory Tangram enough for anyone looking to elevate their fitness journey!

OTF is by far the most positive gym experience I have ever had, and every worker at the Flushing location are the absolute best. I am not inclined to enjoy working out and I wanted something that would help me add fitness into my life without making me feel pressure or shame for any reason, and I am extremely happy so far both with the way Orangetheory works and the specific coaches and staff at the Flushing studio. The classes are ingeniously designed to make it easy for every individual to make the most of their workout -- even though everybody is working at different levels from each other, we all get to still feel like we are doing it together at the same time. And the science-based, gamified approach also gives me a lot of confidence and makes it fun: Monitoring my heart rate constantly through the class has taught me a lot about my own body as I work out. I would strongly recommend Orangetheory to everyone no matter their history with fitness or gyms.

I lived in Queens and I signed up an intro class from my friend’s invite.
The guy whose name is Rain told me I need to pay $30 for it because I am not a local resident and they cannot give their spots to people from everywhere, he asked me to imagine what if there is one day, their lawyer friend wants a spot but they cannot give them?????
This is ridiculous and quite unreasonable

The first few times they called/texted to get me back, I politely told them no. The 3rd-4th time they reached out, I told them I wasnt interested and to stop calling me. After their 5th attempt, I'm leaving this review. Please stop calling me with promos.

This is a great place if you need a class setting to get motivated to workout. In one hour you have an entire body workout starting with treadmill, rower or weight side depending on where you sign up when you walk in. The first class I did was free and because I'm not available to go often I opted for the class packs instead. The facilities are clean. Front desk staff is always welcoming. I have been a member for orange theory for 1.5 year. Most location staff are very friendly and understanding. But this location has a very poor customer service. I forgot my heart monitor. This location wanted to charge me to rent a heart monitor for 1 hours and charge me $10. Usually the staff will give a courtesy waiver and remind it’s member to bring it. I left and did not want to continue working out. I rather lose a class than staying at a location where member are not treated well.

I am a new member to OT and wanted to try this new location which seemed convenient for me. As soon as I walked in I didn’t feel acknowledged or welcomed by the staff. This girl finally asked if I needed help (still not a friendly vibe) and I told her I made an appointment since I come from another studio and it’s my second time (I’m still getting adjusted). She checked me in and that was it. There was one girl (long hair) who was kind enough to explain the process when I asked her a question regarding the class. Also, the coach was nice enough to talk me through his class and helped me sign up to a station when I told him it was my second time. It was a good class but I have no interest in going back. It lacked customer service as well as being treated like you don’t belong there. The other two staff members (short haired) definitely were not interested in making me feel welcomed or helpful. Never have I experienced such awful customer service! Plus it’s small & they didn’t replenish the toilet paper.

Staff are amazing... friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. My friend manage to talk me into trying OrangeTheory, especially this location (newly opened) and close to us. Never heard of them before so looked up some information and videos... which were on the intimidating side, since I'm beyond out of shape and not the average person (Over-weight, Asthma, bad knees and another factor with sudden death if I go above my limits to long), but I went and was able to complete the classes. We became members and have been going regularly.

Tips:
-$3 parking for up to 6 hours in the new parking garage. The rate will change in the future, so take advantage of the awesome price during the cold weather. Park them head to the mall entrance, them you can take the elevator to OrangeTheory. Entrances to the garage are located @ 133-27 39th Ave and another on College Point Blvd between 39th and 37th Ave.
-You don't need a lock for the lockers.
-If you need your workout adjusted, tell the staff and they'll accommodate by showing you a modified version.
