I’ve trained at/dropped into over 20+ CrossFit gyms across the country and this gym is top tier. I was impressed with Coach Joe’s coaching, the programming, and the overall gym atmosphere. This is one of those rare CrossFit gyms where you can get a great workout whether it’s day 1 or year 10 of your CrossFit journey. Absolute hidden gym in the Hudson Valley. I would recommend to everyone!

Coach Penny is amazing! She always keeps class fun and the warm-ups are never boring. She explains everything clearly and pays attention to the small details that make a big difference in how you move. You can tell she really cares about everyone getting better. Plus, she’s hilarious, her sense of humor keeps the energy up even during the hardest workouts. I always look forward to her classes!

I used to love working out, but after not exercising for a few years, I became really lazy. I had no motivation to work out alone, so I decided to try a one-day trial at a CrossFit gym. I ended up working out there consistently 4 to 5 times a week for a month, and it reminded me how much I enjoy exercising. It’s been so much fun— the coaches are great at teaching movements tailored to all fitness levels, and I love the process of learning new movements step by step. As a bonus, I’m gaining muscle too, which makes it even more enjoyable! big thanks to Orchard valley crossfit team.!

A newbie to CrossFit here 👋🏼
Loved the warm up and pre-activation work. Penny started us out making sure our form was on point before we progressed with weight. It was a very safe and inviting environment with lots of fist pumps! Someone told me I’d be hooked and this first week is proving to be true.

Showed up for a free trial class. I took CrossFit with Coach Joe. He was super accommodating, gave me a tour of the gym, Broke down the plan and introduced me to everyone. As we went through the exercises I felt no judgement for what I couldn’t do, he took time to show me how to work towards being able to complete the exercises while still holding me accountable for the workout. I signed up for the gym as soon as I got home!

A great hardworking environment and the only thing to push me to the level I felt comfortable in competing with my self and others. Been here for years and grown in all aspects as long as you commit and stay consistent like anything else . Developed so many skill from handstand walks to handstand push-up, muscle ups , increased stamina and endurance but lastly my favorite power and strength. A welcoming community for all really.

I was searching for a CrossFit gym that could accommodate me after a previous rotator cuff surgery and a few back injuries. I’ve been medically cleared for about six months now and was eager to get back in shape. I reached out to Orchard Valley CrossFit and spoke with Penny, who recommended I try one of their free sessions. I signed up for the 5:30 AM class and met Coach Ryan Miller.
Before the class started, I shared my concerns with Coach Ryan regarding my condition. As the session began, I noticed many advanced athletes in the group, but Coach Ryan took the time to provide me with modified options while keeping the entire class engaged. I never felt left out or uncomfortable working alongside more experienced students. Instead, I felt welcomed and capable of completing the workout with modifications without any judgment.
The students I met were incredibly professional, courteous, and interacted with me as if I had been attending for months. I genuinely enjoyed the class and highly recommend Orchard Valley CrossFit to anyone looking to get back in shape after an injury. They take the time to explain and modify exercises so that no one feels left behind.

Ryan is very attentive and makes sure to make corrections if he sees your form is off. Which avoids injuries! He also shows concern and periodically asks how I’m doing, knowing I’m recovering from a shoulder injury. If my shoulder becomes too irritated then he quickly suggests several modifications that are easier on my shoulder. It’s always nice to see and know that your coach cares about you. I love coming to this gym because of the people, amazing coaches, and supportive atmosphere. As well as how it caters to parents. If my husband and I can’t take separate classes, we can workout together with our daughter watching from the playroom. Highly recommend this gym hands down!

Nice spacious gym with friendly coaches. I dropped in for a week and bought a $70 unlimited pass which gave me access to open gym and all classes. Amazing value. Everyone was extremely welcoming.
Open gym and classes only happen early morning or when people get off work. 24/7 is for long time members only, not for short term visitors.
Would definitely come back when I’m in the area again.

Best gym I've experienced. The community / people are SO nice, fun, and welcoming of all fitness levels. The instructors offer scaled workouts for those who need it (i.e. me) all while helping you push yourself & build strength. The instructors at this gym really care that you have solid form and they will even adjust workouts specific to you (i.e. if you have bad knees, they will adjust the workout so it's easier on that part of your body). As someone who was brand new to CF, the care and attention I got really helped me feel comfortable <-- Special shout out to Norm, Shannon, and Penny who I took classes with and are all INCREDIBLE. Can't say enough good things - highly suggest!!

My only regret was not signing up a year sooner at this awesome gym. I was hesitant to join the Crossfit community because of preconceived notions about what it was or would be like. I couldn't have been more wrong. I finally decided to join because I was tired of programming my own workouts and was looking for something new and fresh with variety - and that's what I found here. Over the past two years I've met some awesome individuals and gained new friends. The coaches are knowledgeable and helpful. The equipment and facilities are clean. This place is truly a community. I have been a proud member of Orchard Valley Crossfit (OVCF) since it opened in August of 2018. The coaching staff is top-notch and over the years they have added more fantastic coaches straight from the member base. The best part about the OVCF community are the members no doubt. We have all become friends, and beyond working out with one another, enjoy the community of friendship we've built one another. I believe Orchard Valley Crossfit is making a change for the better not only in its member's lives, but also the surrounding Newburgh community's.

This is HOME, This is what a box should feel like, This is a Real box, the amount of support, love, and dedication each trainer and member gives to one another is just beautiful, from any age to any physical level we all support each other even at the last REP when it matters the most, really think about a community behind you when your at your very low trying to finish a work out, think about the coaches that create and edit each and every wod day to day to make sure it fits ALL needs not just of an athlete but a beginner, This is orchard valley CrossFit, this is HOME this is where you need to be ! I joined OVCF just about a year ago prior to beginning medical school. As a former collegiate athlete, I was terrified that medical school would deprive me of the ability to continue to develop and build my fitness. As someone who has always enjoyed training, this was a scary thought for me as the gym has always served as my outlet.
Fortunately, Nick, Penny, and Shannon welcomed me to the OVCF community and have pushed me each day to achieve the best results from my workouts. As a result, I feel as strong or stronger than I did entering medical school which I didn’t think was possible given the demands placed on my schedule.
Lastly, the community at OVCF is second to none. Regardless of your level, you are treated as equal and that’s what makes this place special. Highly recommend.

This is my first CrossFit gym experience and I have been so happy with it! The Coaches and fellow CrossFitters are all so friendly and helpful whenever needed. It’s been almost a year with Orchard Valley, and very rarely do I feel this way about things or places, but I have to say that when we move in a few years, leaving Orchard Valley CrossFit will be one of the hardest parts of our move. Regardless of your level of fitness, familiarity with CrossFit, age, gender, or motivation, Nick, Penny, Shannon and Erin will accommodate and welcome you to class as truly some of the friendliest people I have ever met. Not only have I met a lot of personal goals over the last year through this gym, but I feel like they have created a community that is unlike any other gym in the area.
Kids are welcome in the kids area, which is great for the summer or parents that don’t work and want to still work out. They offer gymnastics (CrossFit focused) and olympic lifting classes in the evening, CrossFit Teens, and CrossFit kids, offering a complete package in ensuring you attain whatever fitness goals you’re looking to achieve. We truly enjoy what this gym has to offer.
After a year of getting my butt kicked in workouts, and losing about 20 lbs through their program, I feel great, am excited to get to my workouts each day, and enjoy the people I work out with. Thank you for a wonderful year Orchard Valley!

LOVE THIS GYM. The workouts are challenging, never boring, and can be modified for any individual. I always heard crossfit was impossibly difficult and only top athletes were capable of the workouts. My husband and I enjoyed WATCHING crossfit, and I have always considered myself fit, with a regular gym routine and not so bad eating habits. I’ve done different sports, different workout programs, different training methods and I have never been tested in the way I have my first month at crossfit. & I don’t mean just physically—I mean mentally. In the past month; I’ve grown stronger, can endure more, learned more about eating to perform, etc. but, more than anything—I have grown mentally stronger. I am more focused during workouts, throughout the day at work—in all aspects of my life. I have felt a tremendous increase in confidence in my abilities and myself. Nick and Penny are incredible & attentive. Their additional trainers are knowledgeable and purposeful. This is a family owned business and you can feel that energy in every aspect of OVCF. I would highly recommend to anyone, especially beginners...know that you will be welcomed and nurtured. To go to a gym everyday with a variety of skills sets and be cheered through a workout no matter how much earlier they finished than you—there’s nothing like it!
