The all-level boxing class has a wonderful instructor who is so friendly and effective at teaching the basics in a way that makes me want to keep coming back. It can be a very intense workout but the atmosphere is very motivating which is exactly what I need.

Max, Colline, DJ, Julie, Greer and all the regular instructors & folks who work with OUTBOX are the most incredible people you could ever have the pleasure of learning from.
The opportunity to take class with instructors who have lifetimes of experience in boxing, alongside fitness & personal training is beyond worthwhile.

Alongside Boxing the strength training/lifting classes are so incredible - I have seen so much progress since starting the upper body program that OUTBOX offers with coach Greer.

The space is perfect for smaller sized classes & I always feel like I have the room & access to equipment that I need. They also have a great format of levels to offer class to folks of varying experience.
The different pop up events are also so fun - where else can you have a 'tops vs bottoms' themed workout class, haha.

OUTBOX has been a life changing space that has brought me confidence & community- it's a wonderful place to workout with kind knowledgeable instructors & general dynamic that I have not seen in other group fitness spaces as it comes directly from the lovely humans who cultivate the space.

If you are trans, queer, &/or looking to support a trans owned business OUTBOX is the place!

Such a great environment to workout in as a queer person! I attended my first boxing class and felt so welcomed and confident in the space, I immediately joined for the month with the first-timers sign-up discount.

As a beginner boxer, I learn a lot each class from Colline who is an awesome teacher with engaging energy!

I would definitely recommend for athletes of all levels looking to join an awesome community.

Nina's Nails & Heels Self Defense class is just a life skill ✨. Everyone who wears heels who lives in NYC should take this class to know how to defend themselves in especially scary situations!!! Whether you are a performer, someone who likes to party late, or that walk home from work be spooky lol

Outbox is such an incredible gym, community, and atmosphere. I recommend all my friends to try out a class there and even encourage beginners of all levels because it truly is a welcoming space for people new to working out or boxing. Aside from the purpose of a gym, Outbox has also given me friends who I would have never met otherwise. Outbox has given me resources and family.

Outbox is a top of the line boxing gym that offers an inclusive, healthy and fun experience every time you go! Every type of person is welcome at this gym no matter your experience level of boxing. I find it hard as a queer person to find workout spaces that I feel comfortable in, and now that I found Outbox I am never leaving. All the staff is warm and respectful of all people and pronouns, while also highly skilled professionals in boxing. Not only am I getting an amazing workout in every class, I am also building community and confidence. I LOVE OUTBOX!!!

Of all the boxing gyms I’ve tried, Outbox is definitely my favorite. Unlike other classes I’ve tried which are geared more towards getting a workout than actually learning the sport, the instructors here actually really helped me develop my skills as a boxer. I feel like I improved so much with just one session with Max. If you’re actually trying to invest in the sport I highly recommend coming here. Aside from the technical expertise, Outbox is also such a supportive and friendly community to be a part of. When I first started I was a bit intimidated but everyone here made it fun and the environment is really open and non-judgmental. 10/10 you’ll see me here all summer!!!

Here’s my review about this beautiful gym/community space (reads like a paid ad but I swear it’s not!)
LGBTQIA+ small business run by LGBTQIA+ staff who gaf! It’s a gender neutral space with lots of beginner classes for all bodies and expressions, private training catering to individual ability and personal goals, as well as intermediate and advanced training/classes all run by experienced and knowledgeable coaches/trainers. It’s a super important/fun/knowledge and resource-pooling community space for queer/trans ppl -they also have an instagram @outboxnyc where you can keep up with events, screenings, parties, and pop-up classes! Just pop over on the L or G one block away - gym is ground level and open air when it’s nice out!

I absolutely love this gym! The trainers are amazing at what they do. They make every workout enjoyable, accessible, and effective. It's truly a safe space that offers various workout classes such as boxing, Muay Thai, strength training, and twerkout dance class. The gym also has gender neutral restrooms.

Outbox is a great, welcoming gym located in Williamsburg. They have so many types of classes from LGBTQA+ boxing to Muy Thai and Pop-Ups like Werkout Twerkout by Raw Honey. There are also people of every background and body size which makes you feel really comfortable. Max and Colline really tailor the classes for the community. Definitely check it out.
