Simply put, this review is long overdue. There are many yoga studios in the area, but many pale in comparison to Pawling Yoga and Wellness. And perhaps that is because calling this place a “yoga studio” is a great disservice to the immense vision and community atmosphere that owner, Gabrielle has created.
All are welcome in this community—regardless of age, gender, or athleticism. Classes and events are accessible on a sliding scale fee, ensuring finances are also not a hindrance to self-care and wellbeing.
From a slower paced yin or class, to healing restorative flow, all of the teachers ensure that classes are meant to match your current physical needs. There is no expectation of needing to perform—while all classses are meant to guide, you’re always welcome to take and withdraw exactly what you need.
Gabrielle also does a wonderful job at bringing various events into the community. From monthly women’s and men’s circles, to sound baths and breath workshops, to a phenomenal teacher training program, it’s lovely to become immersed in the full “yoking” of yoga.

Gabrielle Semel and the Pawling Yoga and Wellness community are dedicated to helping each individual attain their own goals. I have practiced with Gabrielle for over 15 years and have never experienced the same class. The classes are appropriate for every level from beginner to expert. I highly recommend the studio and community.

Fantastic teachers. Ever changing flows. Great community. Fulfilling events outside of asana practice. Pure joy!

I love this yoga studio. I started as a beginner at age 67 and I have never felt awkward, the instructors are wonderful.
