Peak 180 – Excellent Coaching and Community (Syosset, NY)
As a former professional strength and conditioning coach with years of experience running my own training facility, I have a deep appreciation for gyms that prioritize both quality coaching and community — and Peak 180 does exactly that.
The programming is smart, balanced, and scalable to all levels. The coaches bring a great mix of technical knowledge, enthusiasm, and genuine care for their members. The environment is positive, supportive, and motivating — something that’s hard to find and even harder to maintain.
Although I ultimately found that CrossFit isn’t the right long-term fit for my personal training style, I left Peak 180 with nothing but respect for the team and what they’ve built. It’s a top-tier facility for anyone looking to train hard, learn proper technique, and be part of a welcoming fitness community.

Equipment is nice, cleanliness is great, but the way I judge a CrossFit is by their members. Peak 180 is a 10/10 here! I dropped in for a Saturday class and I think every single member said hello to me. Chris and I then destroyed the workout. Such a great experience and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town.

Dropping in to this CrossFit box in Syosset was great. The 5AM class was welcoming and very lively. The class was a wonderful mix of strength and metabolic conditioning. Coach Chelsea explained the workout and points of performance for the movements and kept us on schedule. I highly recommend CrossFit Peak 180 for drop-ins as well as anyone nearby looking for a home gym.

I’ve been going to Peak 180 for about two months and I can honestly say it’s been a game-changer. The atmosphere is super motivating, the community is welcoming, and the workouts are always challenging in the best way.
Special shout out to Coach Jesse—he’s been incredibly supportive and really takes the time to understand my goals and push me toward them with smart guidance. Whether it’s form tips, scaling advice, or just encouragement during a tough workout, Jesse is always on point.
I’ve also had the opportunity to work with other trainers who have also been amazing.
If you’re looking for a gym that’s serious about fitness but also makes you feel like part of a team, this is the place.

As someone new to crossFit, I can assure you that this is the place to take your fitness from 0 to a 100 in the most constructive way possible without cutting any corners. The workouts are exciting, and designed to train your entire body. The gym is super clean, well equipped, and the coaches know what they're doing.

I am in town for business and Peak 180 welcomed me in! Ashlynn was quick to answer my calls (other crossfit gyms didn’t answer or reply to my email) and share the cost and options for dropping in. Uber had trouble mapping to the location so I called to get directions but there was no answer. A few minutes later I received a text asking about my call - they are really on top of their game!!! By the way, the Uber driver switched to google maps and we had no problem finding the gym. While there, Carmine was friendly and welcoming, and after a quick signature of the waiver and drop in fee, I was ready to go! I was able to do my programmed Oly training and my only wish was that I could have stayed longer! The gym is very clean, with equipment in good condition, and a layout that is well thought out. If I have the chance, I will be back!

What can I say that hasn't been said about Crossfit Peak 180? All the coaches here are absolutely incredible. They take the time to understand everyone's individual needs and abilities, and their attention to detail is next level. I've had a back injury in the past and was initially hesitant about getting back into intense workouts, especially the lifts. However, the coaches' knowledge and careful guidance made all the difference. They scaled the workouts and when needed and always ensured my form was spot on, which gave me the confidence to push myself past what I thought was possible.
In a very short time, I've achieved things here I never thought I could, and it's all thanks to the supportive and motivating environment and community the coaches create. Highly recommend!

This is a phenomenal gym with phenomenal coaches and fantastic members. I’ve been a member here since it opened and would not dream of joining another gym. I have worked out at dozens of different CrossFit gyms around the country and there are some great gyms with great coaches, but the depth of knowledge and skill of the coaches at Peak180, combined with their enthusiasm and support of the membership, is unparalleled. There is something for everyone. Whether you are a competitive CrossFitter or simply a dad like me who wants to stay or get fit, they will adapt their programming to fit your individual needs and goals. There is no pressure to do more than you should, although they will encourage you to test your limits and boundaries because that is how you grow. Come check it out!

The thing I like most about the gym is the coaches and their positive enthusiasm. I feel like I have a personal trainer at each of my classes. Guiding us on form and safety and pushing us to our individual limits. The gym is clean with excellent equipment. The exercises combine all aspects of the body and you feel good after you’ve finished class, albeit a sweaty mess!! The atmosphere is completely positive and the teachers cater all exercises to the needs of their students. I can not recommend this gym enough! Thank you to leader Ashlyn and Jesse for the positive work you are doing to help us with our fitness goals!

Moved to Syosset back in August and needed a new gym. The community was kind and welcoming and the coaches took the time to properly acclimate me without being overbearing. Started seeing pretty immediate physical results, even despite having a solid CrossFit routine prior to joining Peak. Tons of class options and open gym hours also make it super convenient. Peak 180 is, without a doubt, the best gym I've ever belonged to - and I've belonged to many over the years. The coaches are amazing and super supportive. The workouts are truly scaled to fit your individual abilities and are absolutely great - and challenging. Plus, the facility is clean, and they have all of the equipment you could possibly want and then some.

One of the best gyms I’ve ever been to! I joined 2 years ago having no CrossFit experience, scared I wasn’t going to be able to do anything. Peak welcomed me with open arms and showed me that you don’t need any experience and that anyone can truly do CrossFit. They help modify everything to meet your fitness level and all the coaches are so attentive to making sure you’re doing everything correctly so you don’t get hurt. Peak 180 is the best thing to ever happen to me. I moved to Long Island from North Carolina without knowing anyone, and had never done CrossFit before. I have been doing CrossFit for almost 10 years now and very very highly reccomend Peak 180. The facilty, coaches and programming are top notch. All workouts can be scaled to anyone's fitness level so if you have never done crossfit don't be afraid of the workouts here. The coaches put form before all else and want to make you stronger the right way. The community is very inclusive and no matter what your level you will be supported. In addition to the classes there are also additional events (run club, hiking club, and many more) including just afternoon or nights out where you can connect with your fellow members. If you have been doing crossfit for a while it is the place for you. Likewise if you are considering crossfit for the first time this is the place for you too. Believe me you wont regret it and we would love to have you join the community.

I was introduced to CrossFit at Peak180 in the spring of 2021 by the non-Profit Reps for Responders, an organization dedicated to the health and wellness of first responders. Prior to CrossFit, I only jogged and ran at orange theory fitness and was missing that strength element and wanted more technical fitness training.
At Peak, I immediately got hooked on training each unique skills, from powerlifting, to gymnastics, to Olympic lifting, there was something I found myself gravitating to and trying to perfect. With each skill there are many options to scale to in order for you to improve. After 2 years, I can say I still haven’t perfected everything and can see the progress achieved to get closer at mastering skills.
The gym is like a family, all brother and sisters encouraging you, the coaches work with you to keep you moving in a positive direction. Often times I find myself staying much longer now during their large open gym time to work on things on my own.
Try it out, this box does it right and still always tries to improve upon it.

I’ve been a member of Peak 180 for six months. It felt intimidating at first to come in not knowing if I could keep up with the workouts and how I would feel as a beginner being around people that have been doing CrossFit regularly. I decided to come in for a trial class and immediately felt welcomed. Completing that one trial class made me feel like a part of a community, and I’ve been coming to Peak 180 regularly since. The coaches are outstanding! They help adjust the workouts to each person’s ability and fitness level, they ensure that every movement is done correctly, and they support you as you work towards your goal. Every day has a different class so you’re always either learning something new or working on improving something you’ve done before. It doesn’t matter if this is your first day or if you’ve been doing CrossFit for years, you can participate in every workout and you will be able to complete your version of it. The coaches also focus on building a community where everyone, regardless of their ability, can motivate the people around them. Now after six months, I can’t imagine Peak 180 NOT being a part of my routine.

The coaches are excellent and supportive, and care about athletes at every skill level. I started my journey here in January 2018 and have been here ever since! Needless to say but you can say I love it here! I started out with a traditional gym but had no clue what was doing nor did I have much motivation to workout. It took a friend of mine, to convince me to try out CrossFit. I didn't know much about it besides from what my friend would post on the IG and from what they shared with me. I was somewhat intimidated with the different movements and exercises that I would see them perform, but I still ended up trying it.
My ƒirst impression of Peak180 was the cleanliness and its size. At the time, it seemed surprising to me how new everything looked for the gym being opened 2 plus years at that point. I did appreciate the size of the gym as well. It wasn't so small where you felt cramped, but it wasn't to large where you would get lost looking for a piece of equipment, it was more like of "goldie locks" size.
My next wow moment was being able to meet the staff and experience the astounding coaching. The special individuals were so welcoming and knowledgeable. It might sound silly to say but I felt as if they were reading my mind, because before I could find the words to ask a question, they were already answering it. The way that these coaches were able to breakdown the movement and provide helpful cues made my experience that much more enjoyable and easy to understand. I felt seen, motivated, and safe!
Before I go on a rant of how much I love this place, I would definitely recommend this gym to anyone and everyone who wants to improve their physical health and fitness; someone who is looking for a home away from home. When you're here, you're family! So what are you waiting for? come on by and check it out for yourself, I promise you won't regret it!

I began coming to Peak 180 about 3 years ago after not working out consistently for at least a year. I initially began doing private training with one of the coaches to learn some new movements and just get active again. I didn’t expect to fall in love with CrossFit. I signed up for a membership and only expected to come about three days a week. Now I come anywhere from 4-6 days a week. I became addicted to the idea of challenging myself to learn something new that most people can’t do. I never considered myself athletic until I started CrossFit and learned how capable I am of being an athlete and that my body is capable of so much more than I gave it credit for.
Peak 180 welcomed me with open arms. My first day here all the coaches already knew my name. I was able to modify all of the workouts to fit my needs as a beginner and after months of being consistent I began to learn gymnastics movements and loft weight I never even dreamed I could do. I’ve made lifelong friends and value the community at this gym that has done so much good for my mental and physical well-being. Whenever I have a bad day I always leave the gym feeling better, whether it’s just a touch better or much better. The coaches genuinely care about the mental and physical well being of their members and will go above and beyond to help every one reach their full potential. Beginning CrossFit in general has changed me as a person, but the real change happened because of Peak 180. This place is not like other gyms. It is truly one of a kind and I don’t know where I would be if I hadn’t joined Peak 180.

What can I say other than the complete change in body composition, strength, and agility with only one year in CF? Looking forward for every single class to see all these faces in my group class. All Coaches are so good in their job and patient to show you all new movements step by step so you can do them correctly.
I personally had a lot of progress physically Look better, and feel good in my own body and mentally whenever I feel down and feel sick working all day with people I just came to my gym and all negative energy go away with sweat and hard workout.

Being on active duty in the military and having to travel, I’ve had the opportunity to visit a few CrossFit gyms. I’ll tell you that PEAK 180 is the REAL DEAL!!! They have the whole package, the community, the programming, the coaching, the whole equipment, and the competitiveness. Welcomed me with open arms as i did a few drop in classes and I’ll forever be grateful for the experience being at Peak 180. Wish I lived here permanently to be a part of this gym.

Superb crossfit program. Class based gym - the same class runs multiple times through the day. They also have an open gym slot where you are free to workout on your own. I am not very disciplined myself, so really love the classes. Crossfit program is an interesting blend of cardio and strength. Most of the workout will be on free weights or barbells, which I personally love over machines. Great close-knit community of regulars - helps stay motivated to come in when you know others who are also going to be there.

I recently joined this crossfit gym and I have to say, I'm thoroughly impressed. Peak 180 has been a complete game changer in my life and approach to health and fitness. The programming can be modified to any fitness level and the community is affirming to all! Upon joining I knew I found a new home and was soon able to realign my lifestyle with health in mind to meet my goals. This place is more than just a gym - the coaches provide a wealth knowledge in cardio, gymnastic and Olympic barbell moments and prioritize form and functional movement over a fast time or heavy weight. After a few years of being a member It was clear I wanted in on the impact and began coaching. Coaches still need a coach though, and I glad to call this place home!

Recently switched over to this gym and am seriously impressed. Great programming, great coaching, and great community.
I was a bit concerned about starting over with a new gym with new people but was pleasantly surprised at how friendly and inviting everyone is. The coaches took the time to introduce me to the group at my first workout and I never felt like odd man out.
They have a very active, well attended 5am class which is perfect for those who need an early workout.
There is abundant equipment and the gym is very clean. All equipment is sanitized betwern classes and infection control practices are followed.
Highly recommend for people with all levels of fitness.

I have now been at the gym for just a bit over the year. I was in the gym pretty consistently for a bit, then fell off the wagon for about 4 months and now I am back on. Bryan, the coach is the most empathetic person I have ever met. He try cares about what I need. As I was coming back after a long absence, he continually modified the WOD for my needs and what I could do. After almost 4 weeks, I am almost back to going to 5 classes a week, doing the regular WODs with scaled weights. I am usually the last one to finish all the WODs and I can't say enough about the community of my fellow cross-fitters. They make the classes worth it. I never feel left out, I never feel looked down upon, I always feel like everyone is honestly focused on the best they can do and are truly happy for others doing the best they can. I can't recommend this place enough.

I have been at this gym for about 2 months now. I walked in knowing nothing about crossfit and actually being afraid of it. Bryan worked with me diligently. I was willing to listen and learn and go as slow or fast as my body dictated. I have a long distance running background but I really want to be strong. I started with intense focus on just plain form. Form continues to be my focus, but now have been adding respectable amount of weight to the barbells. I can squat more, clean more, thrust more, push press more, do more pullups and actually do box jumps without falling over (and yes, I actually fell in one of my earlier workouts). My goal is to be strong and I am confident as long as I do my part of going slow, listening to my coach and my body, I am going to continue getting stronger without injury.

Very clean and friendly environment. Staff was very accommodating and patient with me while teaching me all the lifts. I never thought cross fit was something I would be able to do but after having great coaches in here I don't think I'll ever stop. On top of that I lost 15 pounds never felt better.

I had absolutely no experience lifting weights prior to coming to Crossfit Peak Dynamics. The coaches are incredible and really take their time to ensure that you learn the mechanics of each move correctly. Equally as good as the coaches are the members.
