I started working with performance - RX a few months ago to help jumpstart my fitness. Their programming and understanding of what I was looking for is spot on. I've really been enjoying my training sessions with Darrin and Lauree. I look forward to my Friday sessions! I was able to tailor my training to my goals, which is mainly olympic weightlifting. I also get personalized programming that I can use when at my other gym, which helps in maintaining strength and mobility for each major lift. These trainers really know what they're doing and are so patient with a beginner like myself! You get what you pay for, and so much more at this gym!

When I joined the Performance-Rx community I was looking for a more challenging approach to work outs involving gymnastic movements. I found Darrin through mutual friends and being a return patient with his wife Sarah at FLX Athlete Retreat. Darrin is very knowledgable and eager to help meet your individual goals whether it be improving skills, building capacity, or simply improving your over all fitness. Darrin gives constructive feedback, providing pointers and drills breaking down the movements to help achieve the end result. Fast forward 3ish months I am able to handstand walk to a larger capacity and more efficiently, string together butterfly pull ups, and working toward ttb as well as ctb pull ups. Some of which were brand new to me. It has been a rewarding experience and I am excited to see what other goals I’m able to accomplish.

Prior to working with Darrin and Performance-RX, I did not enjoy exercise and had never been consistent with any of my efforts. I was deeply self-conscious of how inexperienced and out of shape I was, and that anxiety prevented me from even walking into a gym, let alone working out. Darrin listened to all of those concerns, and has encouraged me not just through some really incredible workouts, but through the mental shift I needed to make. He met me where I was, listened to my goals and concerns, pushed me on days that I was struggling, and ultimately helped me change my relationship with fitness. I first met Coach Cam at Orange Theory Fitness where she previously taught classes and was very loved by the community. When she left to start coaching at Performance-Rx, it was a no-brainer that I had to follow her despite knowing nothing about what I was getting into. I was feeling stuck in a rut with my routine and felt like I had hit a progression wall. Enter training with Coach Cam at Performance-Rx now 2 months in, fitness has taken on new meaning, and I’m motivated to push myself in ways I’ve never tapped into. Every session with Cam is well thought out, diverse, challenging, and oddly fun even when I’m grimacing to push up a weight. Mostly importantly, Cam keeps a close eye on my form and posture, never missing a beat to correct me if I need to readjust. I know I’m in great hands with Cam and am really looking forward to setting and meeting new goals together!

After doing Crossfit for a year, I decided to ramp things up and add focus by participating in a 6 week Performance-Rx strength program. At the completion of the program, I saw a 38% gain in my max pushups, 60% gain in max toes to bar, and 23% gain in max strict pullups. The gains came with focused effort AND did not require a large time commitment. SOLD!
I now participate in the Performance-RX conditioning program, the workouts are scalable to multiple levels of skill and fitness, and designed to push you to new limits. The past month's programming has featured workouts with names like Colossus, Soul Shadow and Engine Ladder. YES!!!!
In addition, the coaching staff have provided me with a brief (six minute/day) mobility routine which has significantly improved my crossfit performance AND eliminated some areas of chronic pain.
Finally, as others have noted, the coaching staff are kind, compassionate and able to customize programming and approach to many different levels. Performance-Rx continues to grow and evolve. They've recently added new technical support tools and have an expanding membership community. Looking forward to a long future with PRx and can't wait to see what comes next.

After a few months of doing crossfit for the first time, I decided I wanted some more one on one support to help improve my conditioning and sought out Darrin’s help. Darrin was supportive while also pushing me through difficult workouts I never would have approached on my own. He has helped me to feel more capable as an athlete than I have felt in years. Through his guidance, I find I am able to approach discomfort with a growing attitude of welcoming as opposed to a history of avoidance and fear. I am becoming stronger and more able to face challenges because of his support. In 4 weeks, I was able to cut two and half minutes off a benchmark workout and feel pride in my growing level of fitness. I sought out Performance-Rx after feeling a bit stuck with my usual CrossFit routine. I’ve been working with Darrin for almost two months, focusing on conditioning, muscle ups, and mobility. Darrin has been super helpful in developing stretching routines and workouts to both increase capacity and build to a muscle up. In just under two months, I’ve improved conditioning and was able to finally get a muscle up after not being able to do one for some time. Darrin is always constructive with his feedback, providing cues and drills to work on all aspects of the muscle up. I’d highly recommend Performance-Rx to anyone looking to improve their fitness and reach new goals!

I started working with PerformanceRX following a spiral fracture in my ankle in February. I was extremely limited in strength and mobility in my left ankle, and had no idea how to get back to the athlete I was before my injury. I was able to sit down with Lauree to talk about my specific goals and which areas I wanted to improve in. From there, Lauree created a specific plan to help me achieve those goals and guided me each week to get there. After seeing some progress in my ankle, Lauree and I began adding in weekly skill sessions, so I could improve upon some CrossFit movements I always wanted to be better at. The coaching and support she has provided is unmatched by the rest of my athletic career, and the results have been undeniable. In just a few months of working together, I can confidently say I have surpassed my pre-injury abilities and have PR’d my back squat, toes-to-bar, pull ups, and handstand walks. The coaches at Performance RX do a great job at creating a fun, welcoming, and supportive environment when it comes to CrossFit and fitness. I cannot thank them enough for everything they have done for me.

Attended the mini-series of classes on the squat clean and they were excellent. The instructor was very well versed in the lifts, was helpful and encouraging. We did the Clean Olympic Lift series with Coach Tim. The knowledge that Tim S. Has about Olympic lifting is very impressive. Tim was very professional and taught us in detail the proper way to do a Clean.
Tim made class fun and was always watching and giving feedback that not only made us feel comfortable and confident but also helped us reach some kickass personal best.

I joined Performance-RX with a small group focused on doing some extra core work. We worked directly with coaches Lauree and Tim. They were fantastic! Ready with a unique set of tasks for us to accomplish each session that left us in puddles of sweat while having a great time working hard together. Lauree and Tim are both high energy, super positive and extremely knowledgeable coaches. They pushed us hard and also saw when we were at our limits. Each suggesting or allowing adjustments as needed. Working in a small and focused group gave us the comradery we needed to keep going and the attention to ensure we pushed ourselves. A strong core translates to all other movements. These sessions are invaluable!

Laurie and Tim were awesome coaches. We had 5 of us that wanted to specifically work on core. We worked on core alright! Laurie and Tim were both excellent at telling us what we needed to do and making sure we did it correctly. They both shouted out encouragements as we went along, and boy did we needed it. The exercises were fun but really hard. I'm planning on doing it again!

The jump rope skills class with Coach Lauree completely changed my outlook on jump roping and double unders. I actually look forward to seeing them in the workout now. Lauree is patient, encouraging and so fun to work with. After struggling with double unders for a while, I finally feel like I have the tools to string them together more consistently and know what's going wrong when I start to lose them. I have been working with Darrin from Performance-Rx and experienced significantly positive results. I've lost weight, gained muscle mass, improved my body fat percentage and as a result, my CrossFit performance and endurance has improved.
I really enjoyed the 4-session jump rope course with Coach Lauree. She is an expert jumper and was able to target a couple of key issues with my double unders bringing the skill closer to my reality. The course was FUN!!!!

As a former professional soccer athlete, I had the opportunity to be trained by fantastic coaches in my life. I recently started crossfit and realized I was missing the extra push to be able to master certain movements. It took Darrin 1 class to take me to the next level. One of the things that has been the most important to me is seeing changes. When I came to Darrin I spoke with him at length about the type of changes I wanted. We had an honest conversation, about getting a better physique, and improvement in the gym. He worked with me on a realistic plan. It wasn’t an easy plan. A significant change in my diet, harder work at the gym, but the results have been just as drastic. I’ve lost 25lbs, put on more muscle, and been able to do things in the gym that I really never thought I would. He’s been there the whole time motivating me, adapting the programming slightly when we need to. His knowledge of how fitness, and diet works with the body is extensive, and if you can be honest about your goals, I can’t recommend him enough.

For the past 2 months I have been working with Darrin and the Performance-Rx group to achieve a personal goal of losing weight. Through the combination of multiple support systems the process has been easier than I would have ever imagined. The access to tools such as information about meal preps, to nutrition has been key in combining with a fairly strenuous yet safe workout regiment. From the moment I walked in the door I was faced with nothing less of amazing customer service. Performance-Rx has helped me get over the hump of getting back to pre pandemic shape. Even as a long time fitness enthusiast, I found myself struggling with a middle aged body that I didn’t move enough throughout 2020. Darrin’s programming along with some important dietary tweaks have helped me to drop a few pounds but more importantly I’m very close to peak performance. I matched a lifetime Clean last week and I’m running as fast as I ever have, plus I’m able to hang onto a wall ball for 15 reps as opposed to my previous standard of 10.
Performance Rx is professional and kind, very motivational and good for any person of any skill level or size. I feel very well taken care of. AND, I’m so SO much better conditioned.

I have worked with the coaches in group settings previously but recently reached out to PRX for 1:1 training, as I'm rehabbing after major shoulder surgery and needed guidance along the way. I've been working with Darrin and Tim for around 2 months now and could not be more pleased with the results. I have struggled to gain weight and muscle in the past, but with Darrin's success network program, I have been able to see some great results: nearly 6lbs of muscle in the first month itself while maintaining a constant body fat percentage. I worked with Darrin and Performance RX training when when I was 6 months postpartum. Previously being a bikini/figure competitor, the crossfit/functional fitness style of training was new to me but Darrin explained everything in a way that made me feel completely comfortable with the movement/rationale behind the workout. I’ve known Darrin and worked with him for a long time now. I could not have had a better experience. Darrin is extremely knowledgable about the body and exercise. He makes sure to tailor each session according to my fitness goals. He helped me corrected my mistakes and inefficiencies in handstand push-ups and muscle-ups. He also helped me addressed my weak shoulders and lower back. His programs have always been thought-out, purposeful and effective. For more technical exercises, he broke down each movement and explained the mechanics of it. In this way I could isolate out the components that I needed to work on the most. He also developed cues that worked best for me.
Darrin is very flexible with time and location (either at Pallas Pallas or his personal gym). Both places are fully equipped with everything you would need and is always clean. He’s so easy to get along with and very patient. I truly believe he’d be a valuable addition to your fitness routine.

I was looking for a switch from a long distance runner to a more well rounded athlete and also had let myself deteriorate into a over 200lb mess that could barely string together a couple pull-ups. I started following Darrins programming in August 2020 and have been since. I have surpassed all original goals I had set, lost a total of 30lbs and gained the confidence to be the rounded athlete I was in-search of.
