Joining Pilates Fit Life has been a game changer for me physically and I have never had so many people ask if I lost weight as a result of an exercise regimen. I feel stronger taller longer and my posture has reached a new level. The atmosphere, vibe, instructors and clientele are all great and there are an abundance of classes available 7 days a week. Cherry on top it is affordable!

I have worked out & done Pilates all over Long Island and I have to say hands down Donna is the absolute best! I went to Donna because I was having posture & core problems (causing back issues and learning how to not rib cage) and of course for the stretches and work outs & her and her team do not disappoint! She is by far my favorite studio on Long Island and it is right across the harbor so you have a beautiful, peaceful, relaxing view. I would highly recommend Pilates to anyone who is either looking for a new workout, looking for something in between weight lifting to help stay bendy, or just those of us who like to stay in mindful movement. I have really learned how to control my posture, form, and breath work while working out at Pilates which has helped me at the gym and in everyday task! Also let me tell you - your legs will be shaking i don’t care how much you squat or work on your inner thighs! It gets that connective tissue or something that other workouts don’t. I highly recommend to start this at any age OR to add to your current workout. Thank you so much Donna and the crew! I am spoiled because of you all and appreciate what you do!

Try this class and find out why it’s rated 5 stars.

Location: the parking “lot” out front is probably the worst thing about this place. There’s only 2 spots and it seems that people come flying in from the street to park at the deli next door. However, it is right across the street from the harbor, so you could always grab a quick bite and enjoy the water afterwards or just simply enjoy the view while working out.

Facility: I tried the “back to basics/reformer tower” class with Michelle. There was maybe 10 reformers in the class and my class only had 6 people when I went. I love that it’s a group setting because it doesn’t feel like all eyes are on you. From the moment you walk in you’re greeted with a cute little beach theme set up. Theres cubby holes below the bench to put your shoes and places to hang your jacket. You check yourself in directly on the iPad. The facility is very clean and welcoming, no crazy lights pointing right at you. Everyone is super nice from the instructor to the customers. I felt super comfortable being here.

Class: Let me tell you, my legs were shaking before class was even over. I’ve taken a few Pilates classes at other studios but this place was by far my favorite. We only did leg workouts so I can only imagine what it’s like when you add arms. I know some of the lingo when it comes to what to do, but even when you need little things like foot placement correction, etc. Michelle jumped right in to help. I honestly loved that she had a pen and paper because it didn’t seem like we were following a routine. We tried lunges for the first time and I think it was my favorite exercise!

I honestly agree with another review, as a broke college student the price just isn’t worth the 30 minute drive back & forth with the amount of gas my car needs. But you do get what you pay for, (unfortunately) I found a studio that’s closer and cheaper. Maybe I’ll take some drop-in classes for now.

Pilates is the perfect workout for me and Donna’s studio is the best! There’s individual attention and a great connection with each instructor. As a former dancer I love the technique used in traditional reformer Pilates and how safe I feel here with so many accommodations offered during class. Would definitely recommend to friends and family!!!

A former dancer, seriously injured in an auto accident, I found Pilates several years ago at a distance. Working full time I needed closer proximity and tried a chain Pilates ONCE. Though affordable the instructors were limited in approach, did not listen to specific issues and needs and had a programmed and mechanical set. I found PilatesFitLife through an acquaintance and have been here for over two years. It is an immaculate studio, has positive energy and Donna is extraordinary. A great listener with her ears AND eyes, she has diligently guided me to greatly increased strength, flexibility and measurable differences in my body. I look forward to going and am always happiest on the days I have attended. Being in a helping profession, Donna offers me the place for truly gaining emotional and physical nutrients! Thanks so very much! I will come to this studio for the best possible experience in Pilates in perpetuity!

I started pilates here because my hips were so tight from running and sitting. In a month or so I'm feeling so much better. I'm running better than I have in 5 years. I'm stronger, looser and happier! Donna has a great vibe and she makes it fun. But she also knows what she's doing. Important to go to the best

Donna is not only the most incredible Pilates, instructor, but person as well. She cares about each individual and always takes into account their strengths and weaknesses. I’ve trained with Donna since 2020, she has helped me master the art of Pilates. In 2022, when I had brain surgery, she assisted me back, starting from scratch all over again. Having Donna and the amazing studio she’s in, has allowed me to regain my strength, coordination and confidence to get back to ’Jackie’ once again. I am so grateful for her.
