This PF is awesome. No matter when you go, they greet you coming and going. They clean the facilities practically every hour. The locker room is always clean and clean smelling. You don't have that body odor, sweat anywhere. You see people sweating but, you never smell it.

Nice convenient place to workout. The staff is very helpful and courteous. Just need reminder announcements ever so often to remind people to clean after themselves and use one machine at a time and move the hell on! This is the best gym I been too soo far! Very clean and the overall vibe is great! Its spacious and enough equipment to work out. Its not overly crowded as other gyms. Maybe its the time i went. Avoid this place at all cost. It's a scam now. They advertised a $15 member fee charge $20. They charge four times in one month. I canceled my membership and they are trying to withdraw money from my Account. I call amd the supervisor never available to fix that. Regular employees always trying to bullshit trying to explain nonsense. Members should never charge a fee three time in a months. I have heard form so many people. But I just experience it now.

It might take long for planet fitness to get a lawsuit.

People work hard for their money to just keep withdraw money form people with no accountability.

Plus, customer services are very bad. In a world where technologies are giving people access to everything. No matter how busy you are you have to go to the gym to cancel.

I want to get healthy and fit. The staff member who helped me sign up was great. She was friendly and knowledgeable. She answered my questions, including the one that I heard was a horror. How to end a membership. She made joining a pleasant surprise and experience. If I have any questions about what I am trying to accomplish, the staff answers it clearly and happily. I'm a returning gym beginner, and they made it pleasant. I feel welcomed each time I show up. I like that they greet me when I come in as well as when I leave. They make me want to come back. So far, this beginner has done so!

This location on Remsen has a great staff. I always see someone cleaning the machines. I have trained at many PF's through out NY and this is the ONLY one where I see the staff consistently on the floor cleaning, and replenishing the spray and towels. I sincerely appreciate that, and make a point of thanking them. They are friendly when you walk in and greet you with a smile and a hello. I recommend this location.

12/16/2024:
The gym got new equipment last week making the renovation from two years ago look a lot more cleaner.

Only three issues remain, the smith machine hogging, broken lockers, and the latest issue is someone keeps on taking the bench for themself into the shower area from the locker area.

I know its hard to curb the machine hogging, but i thought i should mention it anyway for any who wants to come here they should prepare to wait awhile to get on the smith machine.

The new machines were much needed and i appreciate it because the old treadmills and bikes weren't cutting it anymore.

Be careful with the planet fitness. My payment information is being used to pay someone else’s bill for two and an half years. Upon notifying them, I was told by the manager that it’s not his problem. I tried contacting them several times and is being treated in the most disrespectful manner even though I’m the victim of their fraudulent activity. When I told the manager Mr Jay Robson, if that’s even his name, that I’m recording the conversation for my safety , he told me that I am not allowed to record the conversation and hung up . I informed consumers affairs of the situation. They are refusing to transfer my membership to another location and informed me that it’s not their problem if my account has been compromised and unless I go to NYC to address the fraudulent transactions that is initiated from their branch, my account will continue to be changed although I moved over two years ago. Mr Robinson on (10/31/24) hung up the phone on me several times and told me that even if I had moved to Florida and had this issue, I needed to come back to NYC to take care of it even if I am a person with a disability. I do have the conversation and documentation to support my claim. Please beware of this planet fitness.

Be careful purchasing a membership with this location. I canceled my subscription with the manager specifically and they still charged my card i have to now report it as a fraudulent transaction due to the fact i cancelled my membership. The manager is disgusting as well i do not recommend this location there is never no machines available people hog up everything. I was told I could not workout without giving my credit card information. I only have my bank card which is my debit card. I have been a member for two going on three years. They have been taking my money from my account every month without any issues. I called to corporate office and spoke to someone was told i will get a call back and never did. There’s still taking money out of my account and I haven’t been to the gym in four months such a problem.

Horrible location. Half of the treadmills are out of service and there were 3 more treadmills that wobbled so bad you can’t even use it. Other locations have upgraded their equipment and this location is stuck with outdated and broken equipment. They only plus is the parking lot, other locations only have street parking and that’s why I come to Remsen Ave. I think I need to start going elsewhere and find street parking.

For a place that's supposed to be judgement-free, there's a ton of judgment. They are unwilling to help you. Today was my first day, and the manager told me to go read a manual before operating the machines. What the heck. There are no first-time procedures. You have to follow the staff around for assistance. They see you, and they walk away and act like they can't hear you. It's really a shame. You don't know what it's taking some people to leave their house and try to improve themselves.... Hopefully, the branch owner will hold a meeting with staff to remind them how to accommodate members.

This gym and it’s locker rooms are clean, and it’s not too crowded on any given day so it’s real convenient for me. AC works fine now since people mentioned it broke down.

Very spotty air conditioning. I made several complaints and was met with rudeness & countered with remarks stating the air conditioner was in fact on as if I am not the one working out daily upstairs for the past years. The air conditioner being on does not mean it's working at its full capacity. Something is clearly wrong. Their air conditioner in the sauna rooms is working at full function as it should. It's a significant difference. The second level air conditioner level feels like it's on fan mode. It needs to be looked at or looked into by a professional. If this is how it feels now and we have not even hit scorching heat imagine when it's 90° out?! And as a customer who is paying I don't need the sass from the What looks to be new workers at the front desk. Response should always be I will get maintenance to to take a look at it Because obviously the customer is not crazy. Nevertheless,I will be kind this time and not post photos and names. But please address the issue at the remsen location with the front desk staff.

The men at this location hog the gym! Both the weights and machines. I have never been able to get a full workout in since joining this location as I can never use the machines or dumbells. Most of the dumbells are always MIA. It would take me hours to actually do my full desired workout having to work around them, with their having taken over the entire gym. The location is too small, always crowded, and it needs to be open 24/7/365. Covid restrictions are all rescinded, so change to being open 24 hours, 7 days a week to alleviate the crowding and manspreading.

Also, the locker rooms have many broken locker doors hanging off of the hinges and/or can no longer close properly. There's a suspect hole in the ceiling of the women's locker room as well.

It’s an okay gym. The lockers they have are super cheap and almost all of them are broken and they still haven’t made it a priority to fix it even tho it’s a security issue. They also take forever to fix our order machines very lazy and some of them are rusting which shows lack of care. If they took better care of the locker rooms and the gym equipment I wouldn’t gave it a 4/5. Cause those two factors is what makes a good gym.
