Always a positive experience at PF. Since the management change the morning facility runs perfectly, always clean, organized and well stocked. She does a fantastic job and leads by example.
A recent makeover by removing dated training machines with brand new equipment just adds to a better workout.
I have been to several PF and by far the Hicksville location is the best. Keep up the great work, thank you 🙏🏋️‍♂️

August 24th the 3 guys working out front are the most RUDE and unprofessional lazy workers I have seen at the gym. I was scheduling one of the massages for my son with his black card member and asked for help. They acted like I was asking something outrageous. All their machines are falling apart, it's dirty, don't waste your money here

Was a go to gym for me for the past 2 years, mainly after the big renovation. But now since the recent addition of new cables and machines it's been difficult to get a good quality workout in. Machines are all crammed in the middle of the floor which makes it near impossible to workout without being on top of one another. I dislike this because I like to have my personal distance when I workout. The younger summer crowd doesn't help either with this but it's expected. Also heavily dislike they removed the yellow machines and turned that into a freeweight room and made the ab area life machines that 2-4 people usually sit on the entirety of my workout. Overall too much cardio equipment with limited space left for machines and cables. Still a better location than Levittown, Carle Place, and Merrick. Will still keep driving 40+ minutes here just disappointed with their latest changes. Other then that place is kept clean fellow gym goers tend to clean after themselves and staff is friendly. Will recommend if you like to workout in the mornings.

Packs of teenagers hog all the good machines at all hours of the day (because their allowed in for FREE all summer). Has no mid day lull to even get on any machines. Must bring a friend to strategize for any chance of doing your upper body. Also the manager Ali tells people that they are allowed to video their workouts (with other members in the background without their permission).

I love planet fitness, I’ve been going forever. However I hate the changes they made. All the machines are all crammed in the middle, they got rid of the best 2 AB machines and they changed all the handles to the medals ones. Now I have no where to go because my hand is injured and I can’t get my hand on the handles. The metal is rough. All the gyms have them now. Extremely disappointed.

I loved this gym but recently they renovated it and there’s less attachments for the cable machines, the machines are harder and more confusing, there’s less machines but more new ones and it’s all clustered up, very disorganized and it looks so messy. It’s very overstimulating. The way it was before was so much better, it was much more organized, more machines of the same one, and more space to walk. Now I can barely get through the machines.

I recently called Planet Fitness to inquire about their service dog policies, and I was fortunate to speak with Axel. From the very start, he was incredibly professional, kind, and welcoming. He made me feel completely comfortable, never like a nuisance or unwelcome—something that is, unfortunately, not always the case when discussing service animals.

When I arrived in person, Axel went above and beyond by following up with me, ensuring that I felt at ease and had everything I needed. The highlight of my visit was being allowed to bring my small service animal into the massage chair area, which was a game-changer for me. I’ve struggled with severe back pain for years, and being able to get that much-needed massage while knowing my service animal was accommodated meant the world to me.

Today an incident happened to me in Hicksville planet Fitness . We come here to exercise. In Planet Fitness, we can exercise or take care of our things. There are locker rooms. Why aren't they secured? There should be a camera installed there. Today, the lock on my locker was broken and my 550 boxes were taken out of my jacket. This is very unfortunate. The administration should install a camera there. Install it in the locker room. And if you want to change your clothes, there is a bathroom in the back. Go there and change.

I have went to this gym 4 days in a row and each visit I had to ask the employees to fill the paper towel holders and was still never completed. The bathrooms toliets have dirt rings as if they have NEVER been cleaned, overnight staff are sleeping and not monitoring the facility. The equipment is up to date but many machines are broken. This place needs a deep clean, new lively staff, and better leadership.

I recently called for assistance as a new member and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. The female staff member (Kiera?) who answered the phone was not helpful at all and even went as far as hanging up on me several times. This lack of professionalism and rudeness was disappointing and left me feeling frustrated.

Upon further research, I have discovered that this individual is a common denominator for negative reviews from other customers as well. It is clear that her work ethic and employment should be reviewed to ensure that the company's reputation and customer service standards are upheld. I hope that the necessary steps will be taken to address this recurring issue and prevent future incidents.

There has been alot of issues with this gym lately. I have contacted the front desk , club manager and corporate office multiple times but nothing has been done So here I go ...The wifi has not been working in over a month once again after an earlier issue iwith it in the past. One of the womens bathroom stalls has beem out of order for months ( see photo) . Alot of the equipment is broken or out of order. ( 2 treadmills in same row..as well as stairmaster-.see photos) Equipment falling apart ( see photo) This is ridiculous. The front desk girl is extremely pathetic and rude. She was not able to communicate decently but also threw a paper at me when i bought a drink last week. The new equipment is good

Horrible gym etiquette by most members. Every time I come in, weights that are supposed to be on the dumbbell rack are halfway across the gym. Members do not respect the gym.

Treadmills are not meant for runners. The belts start to skip after 8.5 mph and there is no cool down button anymore. Cool down buttons are meant for gradually slowing down without worrying about pushing numbers at a fast pace or repeatedly hitting the button that decreases speed. Major flaw right there.

Hydro massages are amazing. However most other gyms have them programmed for 20 minutes each. Here it is only 10. Not convenient to get up and ask for another 10 minutes.

I find it strange that all of the channels work except FOX news. I was told it was a cable issue. All of the other stations work just fine, so I find that difficult to believe. I'm very skeptical. It's been that way for about a month or more. I'm disappointed. I'm tempted to go back to Levittown, though I don't like it nearly as much. It just seems fishy to me. I came in today because I heard that this gym was recently renovated according to a friend of mine so I wanted to try out the new equipment. Renovations are nice but I unfortunately encountered a super rude unprofessional female staff member today when I came in. She threatened to cancel my membership today because I was asking questions about the Hicksville location policies. She said that I have no business coming to this gym because of the questions I asked and told me to leave and to not come back. I was speaking to her in a polite manner and was asking reasonable questions. She also refused to show me the Hicksville policies in printed or digital format. I am super upset over my experience here. I feel like I was threaten and treated very poorly. After all of this, another staff member saw that I was super upset and he told me that what she did was right. It seems like they don't realize that the way she treated me was absolutely wrong. I will be going back to the Levittown location from now on. Levittown location has a nice staff and everyone is professional there. Luckily if I ever have questions about policies with Planet Fitness in Levittown they take time out to explain policies to you in a nice manner. I did not know that each planet Fitness has separate policies but now I know. I prefer to go to a gym where I will be treated in a professional manner and not threaten. I hope this Planet Fitness location Retrains their staff members on basic Profesionalism and manners. It seems like some of the staff members forgot what basic manners and professionalism is. Planet Fitness in Hicksville has a judgemental zone unlike Planet Fitness in Levittown. They broke Planet Fitness' judgement free zone motto. I will be sending this same review to Planet Fitness Corporate as well. Please retrain staff members to show professionalism to gym members so that other members don't have an experience as bad as I did in the future.

Signed up in February. March they informed they will close in April with no prior information being shared at membership signup. Wouldn’t expect honesty from corporations but still… a tiny bit of humanity is nice. Coming up on October and still no information about reopening. Charged the whole time. No central company phone numbers and other locations ALL say wait until they reopen to resolve issues. They ALL couldn’t care less and can only temporary freeze. Pay more for a better gym, its worth it if you go. Don’t wait for them to charge more later for this business model they have. It has been months now since this location on Hicksville Road has closed for renovations, and they never give updates as to when they are opening or close to being open? No signs are posted on the windows either. And we are still being charged a monthly fee for this location even though the place is still closed. I wish they would send us updates at least to our emails because they have all my information I get charged monthly on my account and I’ve been coming here for 10 years. I wish they would be more transparent with us members as to when they are going to open. It is September 4 Labor Day already and I don’t see any updates whatsoever.

While I understand that locations need to renovate, there was a severe lack of communication even now. We have no idea when the gym will reopen (will it be weeks or still months.) They have all of my information (address, e-mail, etc.) and no mailer or e-mail was sent. I like that the gym offers flexibility for my workout time since it’s open 24 hours on most weekdays. The calm and pleasant environment allows you to focus on your workout without annoying distractions. Staff are nice and helpful. Machines better than at other locations

Broken Broken BROKEN!!!

Been coming here for months. Holding my breath for it to get better. But every month seems like more and more is broken.

Everything is broken, missing weights, don’t even try the machines. Half of your workout won’t even be completable. Great spot if you have 0 idea what you’re doing in there. Like a teenage/young adult playground. Good luck if you’re trying to do more than 6 exercises in under hour and a half. Ur going to be on the treadmill waiting behind the 18 other people waiting for your exercise to free up. Don’t waste your time.

You do get what you pay for at the end of the day though. My recommendation is don’t waste your time in Hicksville.

That said, staff is great. They will be good to you. Management is non existent making money off of membership renewals. Knowing 80% of people will stop coming and forget to cancel their memberships for months.

I went to this gym location for 6 months and after very workout, I would jump rope for 10 mins in the corner where there were no machines. One day, I went a little earlier than normal (around 11am). After my workout, I grabbed my jump rope from the locker and was walking to the vacant area at the other side of the gym. As I was walking to spot where I jump rope, an employee was following me all the way there, as if I stole something lol. Then before I even started, he told me that I can't jump rope because it is outside equipment. I told him, "I've been doing this for 6 months and no one has ever said anything to me", all he said was "I have to train my staff on the rules." Then he said, "You can jump rope, but I am going to have to kick you out." I did not even make it seem like I was going to jump rope, even though he said I couldn't. Then as I was proceeding to leave after my workout, he just kept looking at me, as if he wanted to fight me. If you are actually serious about your fitness goals, this is not the place for you. The staff was normally friendly, however the management is horrible and unprofessional. If you don't care about your fitness goals and just want to throw money in the trash, then you should join this gym.

Used a day pass for the first time today. After my workout I went to get my stuff from my locker and found out my lock was cut. There were also other reports of people losing money ($140 to be exact) when I was there. Be careful everyone.

The planet fitness staffs are really friendly and helpful. The morning hours are best time as foot fall increases as the day progresses. The gym is full of cardio and body building equipments. Literally there is no waiting time for any equipment. I have been a member LA fitness for a long time. I would plant fitness is 10x better and worth spending money. The location is very much secure. I have seen often police checking out the surrounding during night time and early morning! I would rate 5.5 out of 5.

First of all, this place is clean, has an amazing desk staff, and they are extremely kind. They go above and beyond. Christina and John were so awesome to me today. I misplaced my Powerbeats 3 and they helped out a great deal. Then an amazing guy named Jim found them! I love that my parents are members here, too. Top-notch facility!

Good gym for price. My locker was broken into on Sunday November 20th. My combination lock was removed; I assumed clipped. It was nowhere to be found. The front desk said I was the second person to report a missing lock today. There is someone routinely stealing from lockers. Don’t leave anything in the locker room, even with a lock. You will find other posts about this problem.

Staff can be friendly or ignore you. best time to go to avoid crowds is 6-9 AM. Paper towels and spray can be empty on busy days. Cardio machines need dusting and some need repair. It's an extremely affordable gym so I do not mind the downsides.
