It's planet fitness, always a good gym for the money but it's annoying when you can stand in one spot and see 5+ "temporary out of order" signs on equipment, can feel bushings/ bearing worn out or cables extremely loose on most equipment. Every time it rains there's buckets spread out all over the gym to catch the rain inside. Months old dust around all equipment and garbage cans. I would estimate 40+ % of paper tower spray stations have something wrong with them. Like I said it's a great gym for the money but 90% of the issues can easily be addressed with the with like a general maintenance once a month.

It does make me sad to write this. I really do enjoy my PF. But as of recently there are way too machine out of order. 4 outta the 6 stairmaster are out. Along with some other ones around. What is going on? It's not normally this bad. Please get your machines, all of them back up and running. Long overdue.

i like coming to this location but recently the equipment i like to use is always out of order and it has been for weeks. i always like to finish off with the stair master and only 2-3/6 are working right now and i can never get to use it because there are people who will be on there for an hour at a time so its nearly impossible. please fix this thanks!!

So the staff is friendly and the workout area itself is clean but the men’s locker room bathroom is frequently really bad. They blew it when they remodeled by not doing a full length deck drain by the showers… alway a big slick puddle that ends up in the changing stalls and rusts the hardware and promotes mold. The urinals are pretty bad too. I travel all over the US and LaGrangeville has to have one of the nastiest showers. I’m actually writing this while at Dubois PA PF because it’s so darn clean. I’m thinking why can’t NY be like this!!!
Update June 2025: Unfortunately nothing has changed for the men’s bathroom since my last comment. The urinals are disgusting, water consistently on the floors by the showers, not to mention someone’s booger snot shot has been in a shower stall for 2 weeks and counting. I have been to many PFs and this ranks 👎 for cleanliness. Y’all can do better!

I have a Black card membership which includes sessions with a trainer. Training sessions can be with up to 4 other trainees, but only once was it more than 1 other person and myself. 1 attend 2 back-to-back sessions 3x a week since February. Vincent is a wonderful instructor, kind and patient, and lets you set the pace.
The gym is very well-run, and the women's locker room is clean, as is the rest of the gym. There's plenty of parking and easily accessible from Rt 55 and Taconic Parkway

I am a Black Card Planet Fitness Member with Mahopac as my home gym, one I am very happy with. My job involves driving all over, which leaves me far from home at times, so I get a chance to sample some of the locations that are not near my hometown. Recently I had the opportunity to sample the LaGrange location, and it was quite impressive. It was clean, had an abundance of exercise equipment, and the staff was friendly, helpful and capable (I was there after 11:00 PM, so it was Ceairra, pronounced Sierra, the mountain range she is certainly as majestic as, and Rick, who would never roll you into "Never Gonna Give You Up", both delightful!). I love the Mahopac Planet Fitness very much, but the accompanying pictures should illustrate my feeling for the LaGrange Planet Fitness. If you are local or traveling through the area, I give it my highest reccomendation!

My daughter Nevaeh and I had a great experience at this location. Rick, Vinny and Ciara/Sierra (Sorry didn’t get the correct spelling) These three were great. Greeted us with smiles, Vinny was so sweet and answered our questions about different plans and Rick was a gentleman and even gave us pointers and showed us how we can check out how each machine works as well. me personally, sign that man up to be a trainer lol. I not sure if anyone actually reads these comments but I'll leave one any way because in my opinion the LaGrange Planet Fitness is the best one that I've been by far, and I'm not just saying this because it's my home gym. I've been a member of Planet Fitness for 10 years, and over that time I've been to many different Planet Fitness locations across the country and I've experienced the good and bad. I noticed that some locations had managers that just didn't care. They didn't care if the gym was clean, if the equipment was broken and or missing, and if the employees were doing there jobs. It comes down to management. You need a club manager that cares about the location the employees, the club members and the Planet Fitness brand itself. Ever since Amanda Lull took over as Club Manager I've witnessed the club go from 2☆☆ rating to a 5☆☆☆☆☆. In my honest opinion she should be recognized for her hard work and dedication to the Planet Fitness brand.

This place is is horribly horribly unprofessional .I was diagnosed with cancer and liver issues October of 2023 I called explained to a manager I needed my account closed he said no problem now a year later go to my bank account to see a 49.99 fee and going back over 10 months have been charged every month 20 dollars . I call them I’m told oh well. Ask for corporate number they tell me they don’t know it and if I find number online they will just send me back to them. They even looked up to see I haven’t been there in over a year they didn’t care . So now have to call my bank and get my money back. Disgusted !!! No manners or help at all!!!

I've been a planet fitness member for a few years now and it makes me wish I had been one for much longer. I have the Black card membership, which I would strongly suggest to anyone considering. With this membership you can utilize any local planet fitness to you, you are not limited to just one location. You have access to tanning, to massage beds and more.

Monthly membership is extremely cost-effective. The staff is accommodating, kind, welcoming and always approachable. The gym has 24/7 hours Monday through Thursday. Friday they close at 10pm, Saturdays and Sundays they close at 7pm. If you're unsure about the gym, see if perhaps you can be a guest of another member. All kinds of machines, for all kinds of workouts, you truly can't go wrong with planet fitness.

The PF in Lagrangeville was renovated during the pandemic and is an excellent gym overall. Never too crowded, clean, plenty of cardio, could have made a bit more room for benches and free weights. Kettle bells stop at 35, they should go higher but I'm guessing there's potential liability and damage to be avoided there. Minor gripes for an otherwise great gym.

Its definitely very clean. This location has more equipment than Peekskill and Mahopac. The customer service is excellent. I still think the gym should be open 24hrs, 7 days a week. World gym has it open 7 days a week 24hrs including the holidays. In New York city the gyms are open as well. Amanda was absolutely amazing!!!! I was having a bad day and as I’m preparing to get a workout in my earbuds stop working completely. Amanda saw my frustration and immediately let me know she understood what I could possibly be feeling….and she had a solution. We both tried my phone menus and when that didn’t work, she had pf earbuds that worked perfectly . Not only did I get my workout in peacefully but I heard my music clearly for the first time. As I was leaving she asked if I had a good workout and if everything worked well. No one does that anymore…give this young lady a raise!!!! She is awesome. Amanda, thank you for all that you do!

The only thing that sucks is the fact that you have to sign up on your phone and you need your bank account number. Otherwise It's a good gym. No bench press or squat racks. Just Smith machines. Buyer Beware! Tried to cancel my daughter's membership in less than 24 hours after joining and because the membership was after the 10th ( joined the 14th, canceled the morning of the 15th) I've been charged the $25.05 with no refund available. I was not told this even asking numerous questions. And I asked a lot of questions. I'm paying for a month. It's not the money. The point is their billing practices are, at best, deceptive with only the location manager having discretion to refund a charge if it's an employee error. Do not join the gym between the 10th and 17th. Having access to the gym that she is unable to use ONLY benefits Planet Fitness.

My 2 star rating was given due to the fact that Planet Fitness would not allow me to pay up front for two months, since my "Orders" to report to that area is short term, it does not make sense to join long term. In addition, I was not allowed to join with a credit card unless I gave Planet Fitness access to my Bank account. I always love going to the Lagrange planet fitness because it’s always so spacious and there’s a bigger area to do more floor work which I feel is really important especially for me. I like floor work and a lot of the ladies like to do floor work to they also like that their weight area is much bigger than the one in Poughkeepsie so more people can do what they want. Also, the staff here is very professional and sweet. They were very accommodating yesterday with me and my fiancé wanted to come in and work out but he had an issue with his building an app it was not. Working for him because he’s not tech savvy the manager there a lovely blonde woman explained the issue to him and told him what to do and we were able to fix it without any problems and then was able to come in and work out, thank you guys for always being so professional. One thing I do wish they would change is on the climber machine. I wish it was more up-to-date like the planet fitness in Poughkeepsie which has a fan built into it but that’s just my personal opinion that that one is a better piece of equipment
