membership recently canceled because they said I made too much noise when I worked out… Had a pretty good experience for 4 of the 5 years working Out there. But recently the dynamic changed This is no longer a gym for anyone more than a entry-level person, headphones, and texting are prominent I am leaving a negative post because even when I asked the manager to speak to them alone, they would not do that. They wanted me to talk to them in front of everyone at the desk… as a manager of 35 years in the outside Sales business force I explained it’s always good manners to correct in private and praise in public. I wasn’t going to praise the incident that I had. I was very upset and felt judged and ganged up on. furthermore, I asked to speak to the owner or get his phone number and the manager said you won’t be getting it from me. They did not want me talking to the owner… Extremely poor management in regards to this case The staff used to be busy cleaning all the time now they sit at the desk eating. I give it one star now. I warn anyone do not go there unless you just wanna ride the bike for a while.. Cheap is the price and that’s what you get…. on a final note for months, I’ve been begging them to get protein shakes in the cooler and they say they order them once a month but every month they sell out quickly and every week I would’ve paid for a protein shake four times each week they lost the money didn’t care about the money. I wonder if the owner would be interested in that very poorly managed inventory. Moved over to a real gym where the people have embraced me and don’t have a problem with my grunt or groans if I’m working hard and intensely trying to build muscle mass and retain a fit figure at 65 years old.

I am leaving this review on behalf of my sibling. My half sister went to this gym. Now, I don’t get to see her often and when we caught up last she had expressed her most recent experience with this facility. To say I am disappointed would be an understatement. My sister has a medical condition/disability and was turned away by an employee at this facility for the shoes she was wearing. She was also told she would get a call to discuss her scenario with a manager and never received any point of contact. While I don’t attend this facility myself, to hear such a lack of empathy is disgusting. She now has to travel to the Rome location since they do not discriminate.

I truly wish I was not writing this review. I have gone to this gym many times as I live in the area. This is the closest gym to me and now I’m wishing it wasn’t. I went to the gym dressed as normal. My partner and I were wearing Birkenstocks to go lift weights and go about our day as we have many times before, and I have not ever been confronted let alone disrespected. I have also seen MANY people on MANY occasions doing the exact same thing who have never been given a hard time for it. Now add to this that I have a medical reason for wearing the shoes I wear. I walked to the front desk. The lady at the front desk scanned me in, and AFTER scanning me in, she then proceeded to tell me and my partner that we could not go into the gym due to our shoes. She claimed that this p-fit was different than the rest and they don’t allow that here. Naturally that was disheartening to hear as nobody else has ever said this before. She turned us (paying black card customers) away. I obtained a business card and called what I thought was the manager to have a conversation and express that I have a medical condition that impacts my feet and to discuss how to settle this dispute. When I called, the same woman who had just turned me away answered the phone. She told me that I would have to provide a doctors note to wear Birkenstocks at their gym despite other planet fitnesses AND this one never doing this in the past. I implore all staff members to educate themselves on the Americans with disabilities act. While I’d like to think this was not any type of intentional discrimination against someone with a medical condition I’d hope it’s understandable to see how it could be perceived this way as many people who I bet have no feet problems wear the same attire that I do to the same gym that I attend.

Very clean facility and nice staff. This gym doesn't come with a bunch of young idiots that alot of independently owned gyms seem to attract. The people there seem to just do their workout and leave and the females don't walk around half naked like you see in most gyms these days. The gym has showers that are always clean as well, which I use every week day after my workout.

The equipment is nice and properly maintained. Thank you, pfit!

Staff are very welcoming and very good gym all around. Work in Oneida area but even on My days off I find myself taken the drive out there from New Hartford 🏋️🏃🏋️ even though it would be easier to go to any of the 3 PF closer NH, Utica, Rome 🏋️ We have memberships at the YMCA as well🏃🏋️ but seem to rather workout at PF in Oneida. Thank U PF for AWESOME gym's with Oneida being #1

Great place. Nice staff, clean, etc. but the bulbs in the tanning beds seem old.. they just don’t get warm until the last minute of the tan time. I pay for a black card and wish the beds were working properly. if they replaced them it would be 5 star!

Not happy that you WALK into a SIGN stating the new mask policy! TOO BAD not a ignorant person in the place is following this rule! I love the gym but the staff slacks on cleaning even though they have signs all over commending the cleanliness of their facility! I went yesterday 1/19/21. When I went into Booth 2 so I could tan It was not cleaned I had to clean it. Also there are people that park in the handicap spot and when you tell the staff they do nothing about it. I needed that spot I have disabilities and I'm trying to do physical therapy in the gym that I pay for black card membership

I’ll start with a positive, they just upgraded all their equipment so I was super happy about that. However there is non stop construction going on and the jobs are slow to be completed which is surprising since they are not a 24 hour facility. The floors are very dirty, I don’t know if they are ever moped, and cleaning and construction equipment is is left out in random places. The showers and bathrooms have been closed for about a month!!! To me, that in itself is totally unacceptable! They have one dingy bathroom to be shared by all! I’ve been to other planet fitness’s in multiple states and there seems to be a much higher standard in the others, which were 24 hour facilities. I’ve driven miles out of my way to go to the one in east Syracuse which is a thousand times better, just too far, I would prefer to go to the closest one. Thinking of canceling my membership.

Very immature staff. I don't believe they understand the struggles the clientele is battling. The front desk consists of a bunch of immature kids standing around making jokes or gossiping. Very unprofessional for this type of business. I felt intimidated upon entering. I turned around and left. I won't be signing up anytime soon at planet fitness. Its a good place. i love some of the employees but some of them are just self choosing when they wanna be nice to certain people and it isnt cool when people glare at you. i like the policies they have the way things are kept organize and the charts , key chain wall. the lockers . Its all very clean and nice just bring a pair of head phones anf your phone on a holder strapped to your arm and your good to go!

I've been going for over a year, and was member before for about 3 years. They just recently put in all new: Treadmills, elliptical, star climbers, bikes, and more. The young ladies a very friendly and most know you by name. Remember this is a $10-$20 a month gym so no fitness classes and no real trainers.

Today is the 3rd of the month and asked Dave(so called manager) to refund yearly dues(charged on 2nd) as I haven't used in several months. Thought charges were coming out of bank account on the monthly time of 19th. He said NO. Asked for Corporate # ? He didn't even try to find it for servicing a customer. Said we don't have that info here! Found corporate # online. They said can't help you. They (Oneida Planet Fitness) are independently owned! Why didn't Dave tell me? More lack of service again by same person!! Question? Does the Owner know Dave is as bad at servicing customers or does the owner have the same mentality as Dave? Or is that they like taking peoples money for months without using PF and then try to rip them off one last time? Anyone have answers to these questions?
