As someone who's work week is evenings and thursday-sunday it would be nice if Friday was past 9 and Saturday/Sunday was open past 7. Especially being right around the corner from this one. Other than the business hours everything here is great. Always a friendly greeting, the hydrobed is definitely a game changer AND the tanning beds are great here, have had no issues so far!

Use to love this gym..been coming since it opened but now it’s letting members make awful noises and not doing anything about it.. older gentleman in morning runs of treadmill and drags his feet for 30 mins straight making the loudest noise piercing noise and the front desk guy won’t do his job and talk to him about trying a diff machine been going on for 4 weeks and no solution after multiple attempts so 5 of us are leaving this gym and going to Webster

All the weird, reverse judgmental anti-bodybuilding crap as any other planet fitness, and the lack of free weights that goes with it. No bench press, no squats, no deadlifts. Closest you can get is a smith machine. On the plus side, the place is kept very clean, and the staff are helpful enough. They have dumbbells, and Nautilus type machines, and all the treadmills, ellipticals, and stair-masters you could ever want. The lack of free weights will never stop bugging me, and the company's choice to shame people who take bodybuilding more seriously than most is just obnoxious, but hey....it's ten bucks a month.

The Penfield location is well run and has a great staff. The facility is well maintained and clean. My only suggestion for improvement is they need to provide more space by the freeweight area. They could do this by eliminating some of the excess equipment. I very much enjoy working out there.

I absolutely love the club and the vast majority of the employees are wonderful. My issue is with one of the members who walks around the club with nothing but socks on most of the time. I find it to be very unsanitary and honestly disgusting. My understanding is that this person was approached by at least one of the employees but there doesn’t seem to be any reinforcement from management. The other issue is new and involves a father and son who train together and I just witnessed the father putting in chewing tobacco while he was working out. Enough said.

I went to the Penfield PF because I was in the area. I noticed that they had a glute thrust machine that I wanted to try out but I couldn’t figure out how to use it. I went to the front desk and asked the girl working there to show me and she happily obliged. It’s the best machine especially for those who need the back support. I wish the victor PF had one.

I love this place! And I have attended many other kinds of gyms in the area, from luxury places (Midtown) to medium (ymca/ JCC) to basic (RAC for women)! This is the best quality for your money I have found (if you don’t want to attend classes which I don’t anymore because I do classes outside of the gym). The place is never crowded, you always have access to machines… the staff is super helpful! I love the no judgment atmosphere. Locker rooms are modern, well equipped and clean. And massage chairs! Red light therapy booths! That’s amazing for $25/month! So happy I made the switch a couple of months ago!

I stopped going here during COVID because I heard employees were going around the gym for people not wearing the correct mask or not wearing their masks correctly so I canceled & switched to LA Fitness. But now that all that’s over, I’ve been coming back and I definitely missed it. The machines are always consistent & cable attachments are well stocked. The bathrooms are clean and air conditioned (unlike LA Fitness). I really have no complaints.

This planet fitness is racist and target people. Me and my daughter been working out at different planet fitness gyms but this one its and older lady I believe her name is Jackie who is very rude felt the need to target my daughter b/c she looks “young” mind you my daughter is exactly the same height at me. My daughter is signed up already at the gyms and they can pull up her name but for some reason she want to harass us from working out. Another co worker went by what this older lady said and decided to kick us out even after she pulled up my daughter name and saw her age when I asked her what’s their name so I can call and report them she said she didn’t feel comfortable writing her name. If you work somewhere you should be able to give me your name if I feel like I need to report you. So therefore I took pictures of them. Worst gym. It be other teens that workout that is just as the same as my daughter but we’re questioned.

I tried to cancel my membership because of a broken ankle.I signed up in Victor NY and then added my family in my town. When this happened I called to cancel….the Brockport location obliged..the Victor chapter has not responded and are still charging me after multiple emails. I hope you respond.

The Penfield site is a great location that is always clean, and the staff friendly and helpful. It’s just a great place to start my day.

Mike, the morning staff member, is the nicest, most helpful face of your company that one could ever ask for.

My only complaint is the water bottle filling station. It’s out of operation so much, why even have it? That why I’m giving 4, not 5 stars.

This is my second time belonging to Planet Fitness. I was a member before covid and have just decided to start going back to the gym. It's still just the same as it was 4 years ago. You can't beat the price, $10/month plus $40 annual membership fee for the basic membership.

It truly is a "no judgment zone." There are people there of all levels of physical fitness and abilities, and all are equally welcome. I, myself, basically have very little coordination, stamina, or strength, yet I feel totally comfortable struggling to work out there to improve myself. I often go with my sister, but also go alone as well.

They have pretty much every type of equipment you'd want or need no matter your level, and offer one on one instruction, if desired, as well as some group classes, though I've never used either service. I typically use the treadmill for 1/2 hour and then utilize their 30-minute workout room and feel I get a thorough workout for the day. If I'm in a hurry, I do just one or the other. But there's plenty of other equipment as well, I just haven't graduated to it yet.

Overall, I highly recommend Planet Fitness, especially if you're new to the world of gyms.

I prefer this location over Webster and victor. The layout is easy and I like that there are treadmills upstairs and downstairs. I had to freeze my membership for a few months and the two girls at the desk were extremely nice and gave me zero hassle.

I go with my husband in early mornings not the same anymore we use to be able to walk in and really smell how clean the two overnight guys kept it now since it's not open 24 hrs Definitely not as clean! The early morning guy that opens everyday is Absolutely the most nicest person very friendly helpful you can tell he is a great multi tasking person tries his hardest Now a days you cannot find an Employee like that so keep him and make him happy ($$) my husband is a businessman so we know. I went into the Penfield location in NY and cancelled my membership. When I did I specifically asked if when I pay the cancellation fee, would I be charge the coming month. I was told, no. However, I was charged. If she had said yes. Because after the 10th they charge for the next month regardless. I wouldn’t have canceled. As I only had a two month left. It would have been cheaper to keep my membership. The customer service when I called was no help. The staff doesn’t even know what’s on the contract. Otherwise, I assume she would have told me.

The club is clean, there is plenty of equipment, and the staff is friendly. It's crowded at peak times of course, but even then I've never had trouble getting a workout in. The only complaint I can think of is that the water fountain seems to be broken an awful lot. But that's a quibble. With the usual Planet Fitness caveats (no free weights, etc.) this is a very good gym.

Was great for the longest... now consistently dirty. Dust bunnies around weight machines, squat racks,etc., water fountains out of order with gross bucket under it for numerous days, bathrooms consistently smell and are dirty more often than not. Weight machines and benches in need of repair due to torn seats.
One squat rack and leg curl machine have consistently had issues for months without repair.

3/26 update, now not even a week later theand the water fountain is out again and more equipment is out of order. Bench seats in worse condition. I canceled my membership

I don't expect much from a 20/mo gym. let's just say it's not midtown. definitely get what you pay kinda deal. no prob. BUT how can the drinks fridge be empty for a week or more EVERY month? because franchise corporate won't allow the staff to order drinks beyond $500 per vendor per month? what kind of ridiculous policy is that? paper towels empty, whatever, there's another one somewhere, no toilet paper? I don't use the facilities. water fountain spits out warm water after 6 people fill their bottle? I buy a drink. (this has been an issue since they opened ). Been a member for several years and I’m starting to see the wear and tear. The towel dispensers need replaced, especially upstairs. The water fountain often spews out nasty hot water, why? I used to see people cleaning machines and the floor etc. Never see that anymore. There is so much dust and hair under machines and in the tanning rooms it’s really gross. Considering the staff is usually just chatting and lounging behind the desk it seems they could take more pride in their workplace. Can’t beat the location or the price but definitely isn’t a place to brag about.

If there was another $10/month option in the area I’d take it. This gym is just not enjoyable anymore. The music is entirely way too loud, even with earbuds. And they shortened their hours right before winter. I understand not having 24/7 because who’s working out at 2-3am? But to shorten hours right before winter when people can’t be outside isn’t a good idea.

Great gym I love working out here, except the male staff members that work later in the night. Been going for almost 2 months and there big into staring at you when you workout. It’s everytime I come there I get stared down, next time it happens I’m not gunna be so nice. I havnt said anything to them or done anything and I get attitude and nasty looks. I check in at the desk to be told by a gentleman that there is a 5 minute wait for a stand up tanning bed. That’s fine, I can wait. I’m in work scrubs so you can tell I just got out of work and I’m not working out. Again, I don’t mind the wait. I checked in at 4:06 PM. The person who tells me that’ll be a few leaves and goes on lunch, and then the remaining 3+ staff behind the desk refuse to acknowledge me, after sitting there for 25 minutes. I finally just got up and left. I work in customer service and let me tell you, I’m very disappointed in the staff and this location. Not attentive and all they want to do is be on their phones. Will not be returning to this location specifically.

Drove there to workout and they were suppose to close at 7pm, I walk in at 5:40 pm and someone tells me “because of they weather they said were closing at 6pm tonight”. So I drove there for nothing, and the weather was… WIND. Yes, wind. Not sure why that would make a business close early. The roads weren’t going to get bad, it was about 45-50° out. Nothing would of been different. Also, some new shower curtains would be nice. Probably a cheap easy thing to replace to make it less gross to shower next to a moldy calcified curtain.

I know every person is different, most people here are nasty. They don’t wipe down machines, some of them do. It’s disgusting. The staff is kind of weird. They don’t seem to want to help people. I've been going to this Planet Fitness for a couple years now. It's my go-to gym. What can I say? It's a Planet Fitness. Nothing really special, but they have a lot of locations and there's one directly between my home and workplace.

The staff could definitely be friendlier. I always say "hi" and "bye" first. Sometimes I get ignored. In the past I've seen one of the employees spend probably 1/3 of his time on shift sitting in his car, sometimes with one of the female employees. Kind of odd. I don't see him around anymore.

Many convenient locations. Large facilities with more than enough machines for everyone. Sometimes smelly bathrooms. Staff could be more outgoing.
