Planet Fitness — where the gains are strong, and the restroom… is surprisingly swole.

Walking in, I braced for the worst — gym bathrooms can be battlefield casual.
But here? Clean. Polished tile. Zero unpleasant odors. A welcome, judgment-free zone… for the nose.

The Floor:
Absolutely drenched. I can only assume patrons are stepping out of the shower and attempting to “air dry” via cardio laps across the bathroom. Bring cleats. Or a kayak.

Stalls:
One standard stall, one handicap — both tidy, well-maintained, and roomy enough to flex your quads in peace.

Urinals:
Self-flushing… because even at the gym, laziness wins.

Sink Situation:
Automatic soap + automatic sinks with adjustable water temp — a luxurious touch.
⚠️ Warning: Hot = “molten core” levels.
Cold = “Arctic expedition.”
And the countertop was just as soaked as the floor — I suspect sink geysers are a popular post-workout exercise.

Drying Options:
Air dryer with the thrust of a fighter jet — might qualify as resistance training.

Overall? A clean and capable restroom experience with Olympic-level slip hazards.

Worst customer service ever. I paid $74 for my 14 year old daughter to have a membership on 8/17/25 (6 weeks ago) and I was charged another $60 for the yearly fee yesterday, 10/1. Not one person stated this was going to happen back in August. I called to cancel the membership due to the cost and lack of transparency, and they refuse to reimburse the yearly fee. They stated it was in the documents sent to her email (my 14 year old's email). Every company does a prorated cancellation fee and after 1 day, it should be the entire amount. Their poor business practices are completely unacceptable.

He is an extraordinarily helpful, competent, and welcoming professional. Calvin brings such a warm and affable approach to all he does. As someone who uses the Saratoga Springs location periodically while traveling on business this is very important to me. Calvin always goes above and beyond and makes me feel so welcome. Very nice. One complaint. Was working out yesterday and a patron had a dog in a basket which wasnt a service dog. Hopefully this was just a slip up by staff. Cant believe the arrogance of some people.

As a follow up. Same arrogant couple with dog in basket was there today. So what is the policy on non-service dogs? Please answer with your guidelines. Who is required to clean up if dog craps on the floor? Your staff? Or arrogant couple?

Exquisitely clean facility. The managers, especially Livia S., and Amanda, and emily, consistently redefine what positive customer service entails, and all new and current members can expect to receive a smile both when entering, and leaving. Grug come here everyday for years, grug lift heavy weight, hope grug becomes strong. Grug use weight to escape problems. Grug happy this gym not like other planet fitness, has gym bros and no alarm go off ever in 6 years grug go here. Grug just wish more free weights and bench press. It’s clean but quite cold. Turn off the AC please and turn on the heat. It’s mid November. I’ll never understand why locker rooms are often the coldest rooms in the building. INSTALL ANOTHER CHANGING STALL OR PUT UP PRIVACY STALLS around the individual showers. Then move the weight scale no one uses into the corner that opens up when you remove the 1 changing stall.

I love that Planet Fitness really is a judgement Free Zone. I've avoided the gym, my whole adult life, because I was worried what others would think or say. I love that everyone is in their own zone! I've been going 4-5 times a week, for the last 4 weeks, and I'm already down 9 lbs! I wake up early and excited to go work out! It's the best start to my day.

I love the Planet! I've been going for 8 months.
I'm addicted! I'm up to 5/6 days a week! I've seen amazing changes in my body. I love that everyone just minds their own business. It's affordable, too. I pay for the black card, so I can drag my partner once in a while. Totally worth it!

The hydromassage beds are fantastic, I specifically go to this location so I can use them. The tanning area is nice and big so I don't feel squished in the rooms, and they're always bright and clean. I like using the equipment here, too - there's good fan placement for when I'm sweating to death.

Planet Fitness in Saratoga Springs has always been a pleasant experience for me. The staff is very friendly and the place is always clean....they also happen to be very quick to respond when I need to use a tanning bed or body enhancement machine. I have been going to this location for a year and a half since I moved to the area....plenty of variety with machines and free weights and the place is pretty big overall. The management and staff at this Planet Fitness in Saratoga Springs work hard to make certain that the members have a great experience. Amanda is not afraid to pick up a spray bottle, a mop, a broom and remind other members /guests gently and with friendly respect to wipe down the equipment after using it. As she is often moving about the gym, she does witness this behavior sometimes and my friends and I are glad that she does!

One of the better in-mall planet fitness’s I’ve been to. Although, the older lady behind the desk gave me and my girlfriend a hard time because she wanted to use the water massage chair. I am a black card member, and she was my guest, yet this lady wanted to prevent her from using it. The manager on duty stepped in and allowed it. I’ve only been here once as the Queensbury location is under construction. It’s a large gym with high ceilings and super clean. I would highly recommend. The only input I would give is that they desperately need a coat rack of some sort in the gym area. Who wants to lock there keys and jacket in a locker. Would be a super easy fix.

The gym just got renewed.
Management sucks. The membership is a trap.
I travel for a living. Even though insurance has a membership they demanded I sign up. In doing so I confirmed canceling wouldn’t be a issue as a person who doesn’t live there.

It’s now 3 months. Haven’t been able to use the Black Membership they charging me for. Yet now their only way to cancel is in person or by mail. Email being a legal form of communication no longer seems to be reasonable.

I guess when you desperately need members to survive, the lack of customer support and actual business sense goes out the door.

Scam alert — I signed up on line and gave this company my email, cell number, checking acct info, and a credit card — more fiscal information than I give most services I use. After billing my credit card for two months, I got a call from a rude manager who told me that they needed my checking acct number again because they preferred to take the fee from my checking acct not my card. Mind you, I was assured when I signed up that my credit card would be billed for the $10 monthly fee and that they needed my checking account for the one time enrollment fee. Your staff are rude and because you’re a franchise there is absolutely no oversight. Rude disrespectful people with no respect for customers. BIG TIME SCAM. STAY AWAY. I have had a membership here for over a year now, it started off as a good experience enjoying the variety of machines and being able to work out especially during the colder months. Certain employees such as Erin and Patrick stood out as very welcoming and helpful and seem to actually enjoy working here.
On the other hand some employees seem to usually be in negative mood making it seem like any interaction with me was an inconvenience when I first started coming here. I’ll be honest I haven’t used my membership in the past few months- just haven’t had the time, I decided to go tonight in attempts to make the time in my schedule I was able to squeeze what would be the perfect amount of time for my workout(30 minutes).
I went to the desk to check in by phone number as I wasn’t able to access the app for self-check in; I was kindly reminded that they close at 9 only leaving 30 minutes, I said yes this will be a quick one. I was charging along through my workout as planned timing it well, they turn the tv’s off and even the fans surprisingly along with the music about 15 mins before closing as a warning symbol which I have always acknowledged. I will say that turning the cable off and having the tv flashing array of colors probably isn’t the best thing to be putting in front of people working out especially if they have something like Epilepsy (not myself but someone who I did once bring as a guest).
So at 8:50 the “Hunk alarm” goes off and a few of us without headphones look up abruptly unsure of why, the attendant says “10 minute warning”. I shake off the interruption and continue with my workout finish my last exercise, clean my machine and head to the mats to stretch. At 8:56 the alarm goes off again and I turn around startled again and he says “5 minute warning”… I’ll admit I’m starting to get slightly annoyed because this is completely unnecessary whether it’s Planet Fitness implementing an obnoxious new rule or what. A man a few machines over from me looks up and I hear the attendant now say “3 minutes” holding up 3 fingers and I spoke my mind as I feel it is quite ridiculous.
I had just placed my account on hold and will most likely be just cancelling it- I mainly go to the gym to relieve stress and clear my mind, not to be startled or interrupted during my workout.
