Walk in, smells like wet carpet,needs some improvement.The staff are amazing however they need some new machines. The branches in Manhattan are up to date, they need to catch up. Over all , it worth trying don’t let my experience stop you from your life changing experience.

This location is ok. The employees are all nice and the place is decently clean. Where they fall short is the number of broken machines. Last visit, I counted more than 8 treadmills that weren't in working order.

If I'm paying for a membership, the least it should get me is a location where most of the equipment works properly.

Update...7/14/25... whatever the current promotion is they have going on, it has brought in dozens of young teenagers that are like swarms of bees. A little too much of a social gathering versus actual workouts.

Also, I previously mentioned all the employees were nice... one of them is like talking to wood. No emotion, no thank you, no greeting, and definitely no smiles. I asked her if the manager was in and she just pointed to him without even speaking or looking at me.

I hate the new set up! They got rid of some of the best machines, idk why they got rid of Arch trainer. Sooo many stair masters for what?? Third day and not enough treadmills, every one is taken. And why is cardio right behind workout area- it was better when cardio was facing window and workout behind cardio. No consideration with the new set up. I might go to retro now

The # of people who sit on machines to scroll on phones is too much. I moved my time around often & can't seem to avoid this behavior. What times has the least amount of people? The crows meter doesn't help. I need a #. Maybe you can extend your hours to open earlier than 5am or later than 10 or 11pm.

I’ve been working out for a while and been in many gyms and this is by far the worst one i’ve been to. When I walked in the manager treated my terribly and wouldn’t stop giving me looks throughout my workout. The people there weren’t nice either as they would respond rudely when I would ask if they were using a machine.

I wished that something would be done of people sitting on the exercise machines reading their cell phones instead of exercising. Sometimes I see someone on their cell, I go and exercise in three different machines, I come back around and they are still on their cell phones, where I find myself asking them if they are not using it to allow me to use it,especially if it's only one machine of that type. I hope management puts up signs and rules about this situation.

They keep over charging my card I called many times and the managers are so mean for no reason. Noone wants to help also the manager keeps telling me the card i have on file which is not my bank that it is. they treat me as if im a liar .They also keep charging me late fees why ? I'm never late and always have money on my card and can prove that at anytime with my bank statements. I am also charged all kind of differentfees for idk what. They will not return my money and at this point I will have to take them to court .

Good planet fitness, locker rooms are big and the gym itself is big. Has plenty of parking. Machines are in good shape. Has 2 changing rooms. Only thing is a lot of teens frequent this place during weekdays kinda oozes of that teenage energy I gotta lift big or go hard, but most are respectful. Very nice employees. Some of the equipment is continuously broken, including 2 of 3 tanning booths. However, the employees and other gym members do clean the equipment all the time. Each employee has been very helpful by explaining things and signing us in and out of all the extras. And they always have a friendly smile.

Planet fitness is a scam the manager I spoke to on the phone was rude and her manager was hostile, they charged money to me even after I canceled my membership in January and weren't willing to credit me my money back. My membership ship was only 13 a month because my Insurance pays for it I payed the 13 to use the massagechair because i have sciatica and the tanning booth but this location was very dirty and alot of the equipment needed to be upgraded.

I frequent this location rather often (which is a good thing), at times, you can get a good 2 hour workout in. Others ya might need to cut it short because of random ppl babysitting the equipment watching videos on their phones. I am not even sure what that trend is about? However, I digress.. Staff is friendly, and they do their best to clean up behind the litter bugs.

I’m a college student at CSI ( CUNY Staten Island) and I’m trying to keep my body strong and muscular. Unfortunately the weight room in my college is only for athletes and I feel that’s discrimination because it’s empty most of the time. Anyway, I signed up for the Planet Fitness in the Financial District and it was great but I felt congested. I’ve started to go to the Forest Ave location and I LOVE IT!!! It’s BIG (Very Spacious) it’s next to the Dollar Tree and Western Beef supermarket so I can shop real quick after a work out and it’s a great convenience cause I’m 30 minutes away from the CSI Campus. I’m very happy 😊
