I went into location and quit in 10/13. They emailed me a Statement stating i had quit and I owed them no money. Four days later they tried to charge my bank. However expecting this i had already stopped payment to planet fitness. The bank teller explained that this is common with planet fitness. Then I stated getting emails from ABC fitness claiming I owed planet fitness money. I called and spoke with them and they told me I was all set and owed no money. Now today they somehow charged my credit card 20 dollars. I called the webster location and was told I quit 3 days after their "deadline ". Nobody mentioned that when I was there the first time. They told me I was all set. I asked why you took 20 from me when my fee was 10? He responded I owed a late fee to a gym i quit and have proof I owed nothing. Careful with this place they are sneaky.

Well Nate the manager likes to take pictures of treadmill stats after you finish your workout. He’s very sneaky about this. I have caught him twice. I kept quiet for a year until I brought it up to his assistant Nicole. I walked in on 7/3/25 to find out my membership was terminated with no notice. Always paid in full. I have all the documentation of Nate’s actions over the last year since the picture taking incident. He must not want to be employed there very long. The employees are ill equipped to handle a cardiac event based on questions I asked. I would steer clear of this gym while changes are being made. Nate, has never gone out of his way to even speak to me. He just likes to take pictures of workouts. What else is this man doing we don’t know about to Members. This is a very concerning for members with Hippa violations. The first time I caught him taking pictures was on 4/2024. Possibly 3/2024. I was so ashamed I kept quiet till now. I just wanted to be left alone.

I want corporate to contact me directly so we don’t need to speak via attorneys. I’m not sending emails to social media@ planet fitness. I want a straight up direct email and a phone call from the corporate office.

Justina the night front desk worker is very rude, unwelcoming and no help whatsoever. I wanted help/guidance for management of my membership when going back to college and she was very rude and not helpful. Very unpleasant and unhelpful attitude and overall personality. Affordable. Locker room has much to be desired. They got a new location in Webster where the old Wal-Mart use to be unfortunately they didn't up their game. Staff is incompetent, but friendly. No coffee there which is disappointing to me. They do have water bottles for purchase. It would be nice if they offered some healthy snacks there. After working out for 2 to 3 hours you get a little light headed. I have been there 1 to 3 times a week for several years. I don't know if Nate is still the manager there? He was the hardest working manager I've seen at a Planet Fitness. Too bad his staff didn't follow his example. Funny story, right before the pandemic a few days before everything closed in communist NY, they ordered like a few hundred cases of toilet paper and paper towels. You could barely move in there from all the paper (then it was closed by the government), then nobody had toilet paper or towels for a few weeks. I remember I made a video of it and this platform owner took it down.

I’m a black card holder and I came to this Gym more than 5 times and every time I come the employee there charges me cash to come in. The short guy with man bun is in the front desk is absolutely ridiculous. Where’s management!!!!! This guy charged me $45 the first time I came into this gym even tho I’m black card holder. I have been a member for over 4 years. Recently, I returned to Rochester, N.Y. from going to school in Connecticut. I resumed working out in my home gym in Webster not knowing that they cut their hours. One night after a workout, while in the shower - an employee came into the shower area and announced the gym was closed. I was surprised, I told her I did not know the hours had changed and I hurried to rinse off
This employee came back in about 5 minutes and threatened to call the police, I told her I had to get dressed. During that time, she was on her phone describing me to the police. When I had dressed and left the locker room there were two police officers waiting at the entrance with this employee telling them "..she has a record."
Found out a week later from corporate I was banned from all Planet Fitness gyms. With no warning - in email, nor at the gym that very night - I was treated like a criminal
I am disgusted with the conduct of this employee and the owner.

Been trying to cancel my membership for months and have gotten nowhere. Everytime I cal and ask to speak to a manager nobody provides one and just tells me I have to come in to cancel. The manager quite frankly takes his job too seriously for a company that makes millions all over the country, I’ve worked in management at membership based businesses before and never once gave customers a hard time about a one month refund due to the benefit of good customer service. i was questioned about an injury upon request for a medical hold on my account, mean while i crutched in and was still asked for “proof”. I should’ve known right then and there to cancel my account however i showed him my X-rays and went foreword with the hold. I was injured in February, continued to pay through April. Started the “3 month hold”. The charge i received this month was my fault and i should’ve made a reminder for the 3 months. However the fact that i was in a boot, on crutches and asked for proof when i know they could see i hadn’t been in for months was disgraceful and i will not be recommending the Webster location to anyone going foreword.

Gym hours were changed a couple months ago from being open 24 hours Monday-Thursday to 5a-11p. There was no warning given. Compared to other planet fitness, this one is way too packed at peak hours for lifting equipment. You have to wait for almost every piece of equipment.

I love this gym! Love the price and the benefits included with it like hydro massage and tanning!!. The only reason I did not give this location a full 5 stars is because of one reason.. My important day to get to the gym every week is Saturday’s due to the fact that I work 2 jobs during the week. Not only that but I like to spend a few hours here on Saturdays and am mostly there until closing time.. Now according to this location, they are open until 7pm on Saturdays.. but the staff that is there every Saturday night start shutting tvs off and starts starts shutting off lights around 6:30pm in an attempt to basically rush people out of the gym before 7. One night I went up and told a staff member “I thought you were open until 7pm on Saturday’s?” and the answer she gave me was “we are but us staff are made to clock out exactly at 7pm and no later so we gotta get customers out preferably by 6:45”. I was shocked.. I’m sorry but if this gym is really open until 7pm, and you have members using the cardio machines or weights, and you shut off the tvs and lights at 6:30 in attempt to rush people out I mean how is that cool? It isn’t.. If the owner of this location sees this review can you please shed some light on this situation for me?. Other than this issue I have no complaints, but if you guys are open till 7 I’d like to have until 7 to get my workout in with the tvs and lights on.

This is by far the cleanest and best kept gym I have gone to. From the locker room to the equipment everything is neat and clean. People seem to respect each other and the equipment and wipe machines both before and after they use them. The staff is so courteous and helpful in every aspect from the greeting as you enter to the friendly have a nice day as you leave. They are knowledgeable and there to answer any of your questions. My only complaint is I wish some of the equipment was more updated. Seems to work ok but needs to be updated as some of it has quite a few miles on it. I would recommend this gym to anyone that wants both a good workout as well as a clean, friendly atmosphere

Got COVID a few weeks ago, lungs still aren't back to normal, and still have symptoms.
Tried calling to cancel membership so I wasn't paying for nothing.

SPOKE to the manager on duty at the location, who told me to send an email stating it was cancelled, and since I was a Black card member, there would be no fees, they just needed an email.

Sent email saying I have COVID and don't know when I can come back and would like to cancel.

Was told "Sorry, you have to pay $58 to cancel. You made a 12 month commitment starting in January. We are going to keep charging your card until you pay." ...WHAT? I was told explicitly that being a Black Card member meant I wasn't bound to a commitment and could cancel, by the employees AT THE LOCATION.

So, instead of letting me cancel ONE MONTH EARLY before the 12 month commitment is hit, you prefer to just tell me your going to keep charging me until I pay?

This is absolutely disgusting and unethical behavior, especially towards someone that can't even work right now to pay this ridiculous fee.

Went to the Planet Fitness in Webster. Nice gym, but very small. Possibly due in part to some construction going on, but they were lacking free barbells, so bench, squats, and deadlifts are all reliant on their 3 smith machines, which are almost always guaranteed to be occupied. Would like to have seen some sort of open area to preform freely.

When doing a complete circuit with the machines people do not pay regard to those and cut in front of you to do one machine making you have to wait to use it. In other gyms there is signage showing that if you are going to just use one machine the person doing the circuit has first preference.

Also as a customer I look at all Planet Fitness as one company, whether they are owned or franchised by individuals, as a Black Card member I should be able to just come in scan my card and not have to sign in an additional paper log to come and workout. Systems should show all of that.

I went to try to use this facity. It's apparently owned by a different owner so I'm not allowed to use it even though I have a premium black card membership that I can use at all other facilities. It's a disappointment to have a huge corporation have these corporate rules and regulations that don't allow a paying member to use this facility. I'm certainly glad there are better gyms such as LA fitness and push fitness which I use regularly on a daily basis. I am.glad to use those gym memberships without any restrictions. I believe that planet fitness corporation and owner will lose a lot of business due to poor corporate rules and regulations that don't allow paying members to use this particular facility. I guess i will have to not recommend this particular gym or corporation to anyone I know. It would be my recommendation to support la fitness and push fitness due to much better rules and regulations that don't stop paying members from getting all the proper member benefits. I also want to say if looking for a 24 hour facility I recommend push fitness very highly...

I love the Webster location. The staff are friendly, machines aren't ever broken down.
Nate the Manager is a great guy on top of every thing. I have to give props to one particular staff member, Odin, not only is he very friendly and great to talk to. He comes in early and cleans the bathrooms, vacuums the floor and mops. Today 1/17/21 i knew Odin wasn't here, floors are dirty, bathrooms arent clean, paper towel dispensers and spray bottles are near empty. Nate give Odin a nice raise hes the best!
Also!! Rich and Connnor new employees, they also are out on the floor cleaning, friendly guys as well.

As a overweight woman, I don't feel weirded out coming to here, been here for a week and I actually look forward to coming back.
